Chase and Aimee: Just the two of them. Just for one night. Except that tomorrow they’ll have to start working together, and his business partner likes her too…
Keaton and Roxy: One Caribbean couples-only resort. Reservations for six friends who want to escape Brooklyn in the dead of winter. Two married couples. Two fakers who hate each other’s freaking guts.
Amazon Top 25 and USA Today bestselling author Kayley Loring spent many years as a screenwriter (under a different name) in Los Angeles before moving to the Pacific Northwest to live out her childhood dream of being a Disney heroine who talks and sings to woodland creatures. When not trying to keep animals alive, she’s writing steamy romantic comedy novels, obviously. She’s breathing cleaner air, writing dirtier words, and staring at her computer screen until her eyeballs dry out instead of prancing around Southern California in miniskirts and going to the hair salon. Still waiting for the woodland creatures to clean her house, though.
Read or listen to Kayley’s books when you want humor, heat, and heart. You’ll enjoy top-notch banter, strong heroines, lovable characters you’d want to know in real life and you’ll swoon over perfectly imperfect book boyfriends. All Kayley Loring books are steamy open door romance. Be sure to check out her next-level audiobooks!
I was going to get the individual books, but then I saw one of the books had 5K extra words, and that they all had additional epilogues. I'm a sucker for epilogues, so I just had to get it. And I regret absolutely nothing!
I have said this before, but Kayley Loring's books get to me every time. It's all in the way she writes and how visual her writing is. It's in how much it connects to me. I sometimes feel I'm reading a description of myself in some of her characters, in their reactions, in their pasts.
I always find myself laughing at certain points, sometimes out loud and with people around. She's able to make me go from laughing, to swooning, to teary-eyed, to crying in literally a couple of paragraphs. And she never fails to give me that happy feeling I crave. This is why I keep going back to her books, time and time again, and why I need to read all of them.
These four books are amazing. Each of them tells the story of a different couple. They are all friends, and they are all so very different, but they also complement each other, like family. You get two people who have been cheated on and have the chance to have something great with each other. You get two people who become neighbors, with insta-love between a girl and the guy's dog, and then so much more than that. Two other people who instantly mean the world to each other, but deny it until that's no longer possible. And finally, two people who felt left out until they realized they didn't have to, because they fit together.
It's a great collection, and I can't recommend it enough.
(I have reviewed each book separately, under its own title.)
Usually when I read a collection of books, I don't enjoy them all, but these stories begin with attention keeping scenes and continue to get more and more interesting with each new idea. Loved this collection, especially the final book.
I love this collection! I had previously read the books on their own and loved them! The boxset includes new epilogues for each story! Each story details a couple living in Brooklyn and weaves all four couples together as you move through the series. If you are looking for a good rom com book with the feels and a happy ever after, this is the series for you!
This collection was written so well..I love the way Kayley Loring writes, you can’t help but fall in love with her characters...so well developed..and didn’t want to leave this group of friends!!! Best collection I’ve read!! Side note..the pics of Coco Beach were exactly how they were described in the book..exactly!!
Sometimes you just want to read a romance that flows. These are four books whose heroes and heroines are friends. There stories come together in a natural way in the last book of the series the Plus Ones. Each book is charming. The relationships feel destined for each other. Some of the h/h seem more aware of this while others take years to figure out they belong together. Nina a school teacher dumped by her fiancée her Principal meets Vince a realtor dumped by his girlfriend a Nanny who is involved with the Principal. This is Rebound with Me. A story about coping with fears and stepping out of your comfort zone. Come Back to Bed is the story of Bernadette and Matt two very different people who grow to love each other and value their differences. Bernadette is afraid of being herself and letting go but Matt gives her the freedom to do that. In Tonight your Mine Chase sees Aimee walk into a Bar and believes it’s love at first sight but he is willing to step aside for his business partner and best friend to pursue her.Aimee is also very attracted to Chase and rejects the partner. This story reflects the outside influences that can restrict a relationships growth. The last story in the book is Plus Ones. The story of Roxanne and Keaton both best friends of Aimee and Chase. Roxanne chooses men who are not suitable relationship material while Keaton has a history of womanizing but even these two grow up and long for a real relationship and their friends all the other h/h from the other books cheer them on. The stories are all tied together beautifully in the last book. I highly recommend reading this series. They are not stressful but relaxing and enjoyable.
This is a brilliant box set and I can't recommend it enough.
The audio version is brilliantly narrated.
Each book features two characters who fall in love, each story completely different and entertaining in its own way.
Funny moments, hot moments, brilliant loveable and likeable characters.
In THE PLUS ONES, this is the last book in this box set and it's Keaton and Roxy's story.
All the couples from this series plan to go on a romantic break to a couples resort. The couples don't want to leave out their two single friends Roxy and Keaton and agree that they could pretend to be a couple so they can join them, the thing is Keaton and Roxy have been enemies for years.
Roxy and Keaton eventually agree to go along as a pretend couple so they can spend time with their friends on a vacation. I loved the last book, I also enjoyed revisiting the lives of all the couples from each book previously.
I can't even pick a favourite out of this box set, Ioved them all.
I found me a new favourite author. Definitely going to be reading more from Kayley Loring.
I loved every minute of it. Fun, charming, romantic and a little drama. This series has everything. Hot chemistry, witty banter & laugh out loud moments. Each book was as good as the last. I loved the newlywed games and couples trivia. I loved the neighbors & best friends, everything was blended together making this one of my favorite series. The sex was hot. The narration by both narrators was brilliantly performed. I’ve been a huge fan of Teddy Hamilton for years but this series has made me fall in love with Mackenzie Cartwright. Well done everyone! This was books 1-4 each with an HEA and each can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this book/series.
These are four of Ms. Loring's earlier works, 2018-19, which coincidentally happens to be when I started reading her. It's interesting to see how her creativity has evolved over the years. I still enjoy reading her older books—the ones that were written to be read, not performed. (So don't be surprised when you see a big difference between these and her later works which are written for listening. These are in dual POV, not full cast.) This is not an entirely cohesive set—the stories share characters but their themes run the gamut from complex to unusual to light rom/com tropes. Typically they include really fun side characters and pop culture references, and each book gets a cute bonus epilogue written just for this set.
These standalone books are so much fun! You’ll laugh out loud and fan yourself at the plentiful sexytimes. Come Back To Bed is probably my favorite, because Bernadette and Matt are the most wonderful and improbable couple ever, and he’s so fudging dreamy. The Plus Ones is a fun, steamy read and contains all the couples in the perfect wrap-up to the collection.
What an amazing series!!! I loved each story they were unique in their own way I especially love where they take place in Brooklyn of course. I myself was born and raised in Brooklyn Williamsburg to be exact. Even though I live in queens now I still go back to the old neighborhood. It’s impossible to choose one story they each are awesome in there on way. It’s definitely a must read!!!
Audible Listen - the narration was awesome!! Definitely worth using a credit for this set!
I loved each book in this set. All the characters were such fun and there was little drama or angst. There was witty banter and laugh out loud moments. The sex was steamy with lots of sexy dialogue.
Kayley Loring is a queen of fun and comedic romances!!
Vince/Nina - summer fling/rebound Matt/Bernadette - opposites attract Chase/Amy - one night stand/office romance Keaton/Roxy - enemies/friends to lovers
Could we all please have 6 hot best friends like that. Such a great series, such great couples. My hubby and I both read this tighter. His favorite was Vince and Nina, my favorite was Keaton and Roxy, but all of them are amazing couples with awesome stories.
I love Kayley’s characters, and this collection sets the bar high. Her men are sexy successful hunks who fall for modern women who know how to keep them in line, all while building a charmed life together. Humor, tension, misunderstandings, and lots of lovin fill each story. Sweet and sassy, made for rereading when you need a fun escape. Thanks, Kayley!
I got this compilation because of the description of Keaton & Roxy's book, but by the time I got there, I was hooked on all of these funny, complicated people. Knowing Lesson got a redemption arc was the only thing that got me through parts of Chase & Aimee's story. Lots of miscommunication "Just TALK to each other!" moments, but worth the angst!
I really enjoyed this series. I had read the first two books so to have the opportunity to read about new characters, yet follow up with the previous ones was awesome!! Thanks for a fun, entertaining book.
All 4 books were sweet. Nothing over the top. Some, not a lot of sexy romps. Good characters, though I didn't connect all of them until book 3. Don't think the first 4 were mentioned until then.
Delightful characters, great humor, sizzling sex, and some tension but not so nerve-wracking as to make you drop the book and soothe yourself with peppermint tea (too much tension unnecessaryin these awful times). Love this author and this series!
I loved every single one of these stories in this collection. I can never not laugh listening to one of Kayley’s books. I love the quirky characters, how fun and steamy they are. Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwight are amazing and sound great together in this collection. If you are looking for low angst and a good time this collection is for you.
Kayley Loring has become a favorite author. If you love love, these books are for you! Attraction, humor, fun supporting characters, hot sexy times, romance with swoon and love with HEAs. Feel good romcom!
Audible listen with Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright
Great. But not that funny, to me anyway. Still, Stellar performance by Teddy and Mackenzie! Great value with 4 books for 1 purchase and many hours of listening ❤️
This was a phenomenal collection. I loved all 4 books. Each one better than the last. But I can’t pick a favorite. You can’t go wrong with these. Great story, great characters, great writing and that ever important HEA! I highly recommend this book.
I want to move to Brooklyn! Could we all please have 6 hot best friends like that. Such a great series, such great couples. My hubby and I both read this together. His favorite was Vince and Nina, my favorite was Keaton and Roxy, but all of them are amazing couples with awesome stories.
The Brooklyn Book Boyfriends collection is awesome. Every book is enjoyable, exciting, and you just feel so happy reading them!!!! It would be hard to pick a favorite but Keaton and Foxy Roxy’s story is extraordinary!!!!
For a first time read and Intro to this author again, this was the best way to start. I loved every story, and adding the audible made it that much better. I laugh and swooned, so worth it
What a fantastic four book set. The stories were cute, hot and heart warming. I knew Chase was going to be my favorite until I read Keaton story. He’s so sweet. Absolutely read these books.
Once I started this series I couldn't stop. All four stories felt so real. And having all the MCs come together in the final story was fun particularly at the couples only resort.
Be still my beating heart. The Brooklyn Book Boyfriends collection is absolutely fantastic. This is a collection of swoon worthy, adorable, quirky, hilarious and fun storied that kept me entertained and made my insides all gooey. I definitely loved these feel good stories. Phenomenal series!
Let's hear it for Brooklyn Book Boyfriends. I ducking love this book! All four of them. You get extra bonus epilogues. I also hope Kayley Loring is happy now because I have to hunt down everything she has ever written and I already have TOO MANY books in my TBR files.
