I feel as though I am on a roller coaster with Brandon, just when I thought I was beginning to understand him and even like him he changes again. Just when I think it is over forever with Melody something happens to make me doubt that. How Shandi Boyes keeps everything straight and yet manages to include so much amazes me, I think I need a diagram at the beginning or end of the book to show how everything and everyone relates and intersects. With everything that has been revealed I feel I should know more but I am sure that is why there needed to be a third book and I am on tenterhooks now waiting to read it.

This was a book with a complicated storyline and followed on from "Silent Vigilante," the previous book in the series. Brandon is now an FBI agent working to uncover links to mafia kingpins. In this book, you will meet other characters from the previous book as well as some new characters. I would recommend reading the earlier books for better understanding and clarity. This book does not give all the answers but continues in "Brandon 3." I found this book an absorbing read but, at times, slow-moving. Brandon is a complicated character that, while working as directed by his immediate superior, continues to work privately in his own time to discover the truth about what has happened in the previous book. His relationship with Melody and her family has left a lot of unanswered questions that have a bearing on his official investigation, and I am eager to discover what is to happen in the next book.

Brandon and Melody have gone though thick and thin…. in other words, trials, tribulations and more trials and tribulations. It started in the first book of this series and doesn’t let up here. When it comes to Brandon, just don’t assume anything.

Here, we get to see a deeper layer of Brandon, we get to see a side of him that has been elusive in the Enigma series. This is Brandon’s POV. As soon as you think you know him, that you finally can see just where he’s coming from, then you are in for a big surprise. Never underestimate Brandon… and don’t overestimate him either. He is one complex man. He’s full of surprises…. but always the protector. Remember, he made a promise to Liam (Melody’s dad), that he always will keep. But now, Izzy is in the picture too. How does it end? We’ll see… the ending may leave you in an emotional whirlwind, but remember, there’s always book three to make everything right.

'Hushed Guardian' is the second installment in Brandon's story after 'Silent Vigilante'.
To get the full story you should read at least the first four of the Enigma Series, as well as 'The Wedding.' In 'Silent Vigilante,' we were given an insight to Brandon's growing up, and what shaped him into the man he became.
'Hushed Guardian' is the continuation of his story, but tightly interwoven with Isaac and Izzy's story in the first four Enigma books. It gives us Brandon's view of what is happening, and why he reacts as he does. It definitely gave me a whole new outlook on Brandon and the story, yet is still full of twists and surprises. It gives us a peek into the 'cliff-hanger' ending in 'The Wedding,' and has me hanging out impatiently for the next installment.
This is definitely a must-read -not to be missed- if you are an 'Enigma' fan.
I don't know how Shandi does it, but she has taken a story I thought I knew and blown it out of the water!

Hushed Guardian takes a big time jump in Brandon and Melodys life and though it’s a big gap, Shandi does well with making it seem like no time at all. Big things have happened to both Brandon and Melody personally and professionally. Book 2 answers a lot of questions about Brandon that readers have been wanting to know from reading the Enigma series. We get a little of Melody’s story in this second book but this book focuses more on Brandon and we get a deep insight into him. The budding bromance between him and Greyson is comical and we also meet Internal Affairs Agent Phillipa who I hope we get to know a lot better. I’m so anxious for book 3 to get more answers. I mentioned in my review for book 1 that you really must read the Enigma series before tackling Brandon and I want to stress that again. The way Shandi intertwines all of the Enigma books within Brandon’s story is amazing and I’m not sure how she does it but it’s flawless every time!

Awww dam!!! I am honestly speechless.
This book was absolutely amazing I can't even begin to understand the planning that went into having Brandon and Grayson so deep I everything they are literally been in the background of nearly everything that has happened and hardly a single soul knows I mean hats off its bloody genius.
I feel that I 100% understand Brandon a whole lot more my heart hurts for him. He has lost so much and at 26 I don't think he has had any time in the last 20 years to just be him so much time and effort put into every one around him and who was really there for him??? Hurts my heart.
And that last page of the book.....talk about dropping a bomb and leaving, cliffhangers actually kill me this one was was no different but it also makes so much sense aswell honestlydont know how i didnt see it sooner.
Book 3 needs to give us all the answers I need them.

I'm so glad I endorsed this book before even reading it. The complexities of Brandon and Melody's story comes through even more. The plots the twists and turns that have you on edge. That ending!!!!! I need the next in this series asap!!!

I do advise anyone who wants to read Brandon's series to first read The Enigma Series. It's where I first became fascinated in wanting to know Brandon's story.
Shandi has a talent for intertwining her stories giving each character a go. I find it fascinating and continue to say thank you Shandi for not only the stories but the way you've written them. Making your followers want more and more.

Sooooo good! I have loved Brandon all throughout Isaac and Isabelle 's story as well as the other spinoff books. I was always annoyed when the other characters thought he was being shady. But after reading his story a lot of questions are answered and his actions are explained. Unlike the other books it's not fueled by steamy sex scenes and him trying to get the girl. There is some of that but it read more like a mystery to me. I loved! It's not necessary to read the other books in the series but I highly recommend you do. Brandon seems to be the constant thread and I enjoyed going back to Isaac, Hugo, Hunter and Regan's stories and reading the same scenes but from Brandon's perspective. Also, I Shandi is my new fave author! Her writing style is so enjoyable and she really takes the time to develkp.her characters.

Where do I begin with this book. The Brandon that we knew in the Enigma series is not the Brandon we thought we really knew. He has his nose and hands in so many different things it is not even funny. It really does explain his behavior in the Enigma series. I love how he watches out for Izzy just as he has for Melody. He is a true protector by nature. We just thought he was a little creepy or crazy obsessed in the Enigma series but how wrong we were! I can’t wait for the next book to give some closure between he and Melody and to explain a little more of the relationship between him and Ophelia/ Olivia. Shandi you have blown me away again!!

I knew that Brandon was always going to suprise me the most. Practically raised by Liam Melody's father as a protector he clearly believes that he will always keep his word to Liam to protect and destroy any threat to Melody.
Brandon now also watches out and protects Isabelle "Izzy"
I love twists and turns the action the deception and heartbreak the details given allows you to see so much more of Brandon and how complex his character really is. I still believe that at heart he is the same young boy who will stop at nothing to ensure that Melody and now Izzy are safe and protected and happy.
I can't wait for the next book. I highly recommend this book and series.

This is book 2 in Brandon's trilogy, and cannot be read as a standalone. Silent Vigilante must be read.

This book picks up 6 years after the events that happened at the end of Silent Vigilante. It is full of secrets, and plot twists. Answers some questions, but of course in true Shandi style leaves us with tons more.

By the end of this book, you will seriously want to strangle Shandi 😂😂😂

I cannot wait for the final part of Brandon's story, especially with those teaser chapters at the end.

This was another amazing edition to the Enigma series, and is a must read.

Brandon part 2. The Enigma stories are all interwoven. You must read Silent Vigilante before you read thus one. Emotional roller coaster, page turner, mystery, danger and love. This mostly from Brandon’s POV. Getting to know him is not easy. Is he trying to help or is there a hidden agenda?
Brandon and Melody’s story will have you in knots. It is hard to figure out if you like Brandon or if he is not worth it. Just when you think you got him and his actions figured out something else pops up. Some things are from other stories are cleared but still leaves you wanting more answers. What’s next? We have to wait for part 3. Who knew Brandon would be so complicated?!

This story picked up about the same timeline as when this series started with Isabelle and Isaac. It was interesting to see what was going on from fresh eye and also in the background. This could still be read as a trilogy of books about Brandon and Melody as that background story isn't as much about those characters as it is this couples story, if that makes sense.

There wasn't much Melody in this part of the story. Instead it was the behind-the-scenes moments that connects with Melody and her family. They just don't know how much yet.

im still not sure about Brandon.
OMG so many answers to questions I had while reading the Enigma Series. Guys please read these books in the right order.
if I'm being honest I never knew how to take Brandon and these book are showing me different sides. But my heart isn't sure. Which is so different because usually I'm half way in love with the main charaters by now.
But the twist and turns just keep coming. And I couldnt stop myself from reading faster. Looking forward to the final book.

Brandon and Melody - Part two

Hushed Guardian is the nineteenth book in the Enigma series and continues the story of Brandon and Melody's. This is the second book, after Silent Vigilante, and they must be read in order. All I can say is that this is another stunning continuation of the story and picks up six years later. There is so much going on but yet it hones in on certain things along the way. I can't wait to read Quiet Protector, the third book about Brandon and Melody. to see where their journey takes them.

I had never understood why B was so cranky and hateful until reading these books. Silent Vigilante ended with such a heartbreaking cliffhanger and Hushed Guardian has followed suit. Shandi knows how to break our hearts and drop bombshells like no other author I know while still keeping us wanting more! To say I cried while reading is an understatement and now I have more questions that I need answers to than before!

Wow. The twists and turns and intrigue keep coming in this second part of Brandons story.
Just when you think you are onboard and have started to unravel and understand him, he takes you on a different ride you never saw coming.
Amazingly written with great plots and storylines relating to the trials he and Melody faced and still face in this second part. Fantastic read of a separate perspective of events captured throughout Enigma. A must read series.

Brandon’s Book 2

I missed reading about actual feelings and relationships with Brandon. This was a continuation of Brandon’s investigations that seemed to get bigger and more involved. The fact that he has not gone to see Melody bothers me.

I get how this book is necessary to tying all the loose ends together, but I wouldn’t have finished it if I didn’t think there was hope for Brandon discovering Melody’s secret and for them to be reunited in Book 3.

This is the 19th book in the series and I do recommend at least reading book 18. Brandon’s story continues and Brandon is still what he grew up to be, Melody’s protector. This read is filled with twists and turns, drama, emotion and steam. The characters have lots of depth and the story really draws you in I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it.

Guardian is Golden

This is Part 2 of the final trilogy in the Enigma series. This was one of the most emotional books in this entire series. Your mind will be blown at some of the twists and turns Brandon and Melody take us down. We learn more about characters we’ve met in previous books, and we understand Brandon’s behavior and choices as an agent and how he was with the rest of the Enigma crew.

There are twists and turns and I liked reading this from Brandon's point of view. You think you know everything and then you read this and you realize there is more. The character development is so great and now I need more from Brandon and Melodie.
