Rusty—

I’m the president of the Devil Kings Atlanta MC. With a fractious club to rebuild and a revolving door on my bedroom, the last thing I need is 5’4” of sex-on-a-stick trouble.
When a mysterious beauty shows up with her playmate’s body, dark soulful eyes and a bagful of cash, I’m willing to make an exception.
I don’t fully trust her, but she needs my help.

Ashlynn—

Things are finally good. I’m one of the best high-roller hostesses on the strip. But I’ve lived in Las Vegas two years and have yet to unpack my bags. Why? Because shit always goes sideways.
I should have known this time would be no different.
When I’m asked to hostess a private poker game at a mega exclusive hotel penthouse, I end up in the proverbial wrong place at the wrong time.
I’m the soul witness to a double murder and I’m suddenly on the run again, but this time I’m running for my life.
I get as far as Atlanta before my Porsche blows a tire.
That’s when he shows up. Dangerous. Drop-dead gorgeous. Scary badass biker. One I can’t take my eyes off. Maybe this town is as good as any to lay low.
When trouble tracks me down, I want to run again. But he has other plans.
He’ll protect me—for a price.
My willing body in his big bed—all night, every night.
That’s the dirty deal he offers.
Dare I accept?

Where the President of the Devil Kings is involved, there are no rules.
But I’ll stand toe-to-toe with him and make it out of this bargain with my heart intact. Because in the end, running is what I do best.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Dirty Deals by Nicole James is the second book in the Devil Kings MC series. This installment gives us Rusty, the president of the Devil Kings MC story. Rusty intrigued me when I met him in Dirty Deeds, and I wanted to learn more about him. Therefore, when the opportunity came for me to read and review his story, I did not hesitate.

The story began on an interesting note. Immediately the reader is plunged into the glamorous world of high-stakes gambling and luxury accommodations for the rich and famous. This is the world Ashlyn works in. It’s her job to ensure that her clients have an enjoyable time whether they are winning or losing. All seems to be going well until that fateful night when she witnessed a double murder. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Terrified, she made a run for it, but not before the perpetrators saw her. Recognizing the danger she faces, she immediately left Las Vegas.

While making her escape, she got a flat tyre, leaving her to contemplate her next move. At that moment Rusty came to her rescue. Leery of him, she grudgingly accepted his offer of help. An offer which would lead to the development of a relationship and so much more.

I had a good time with this installment. I found it to be better than the first book, despite some unbelievable moments.  Danger and sexy times were the mainstay of the story.

Rusty is drawn to the sassy beauty who clearly is running from something or someone. He wants to help her if only she would trust him. Ashlyn fears putting her trust in Rusty and thwarted his flirtatious attempts, which never lasted long. Soon he enticed her with a job and promises of passionate nights.

The characters felt underdeveloped. I loved them both, but it would have been nice to have had more background information on both of them. I wondered how the romance between these two would work as they had nothing in common. Ashlyn lived a life of glamour while Rusty's world is somewhat on the shady side. Ashlyn struck me as the type who can adapt to any situation.

My issue with Ashlyn had to do with her refusal to tell Rusty the truth in relation to who wanted to hurt her. He gave many opportunities to come straight, but she kept twisting the truth.

The story ended on a romantic note, with the epilogue dropping hints regarding the next installment. I am looking forward to that one.

Narration

Virginia Rose and Ryan West continues to narrate. I enjoyed their collaboration, where Virginia did all the female voices and Ryan the male ones. Their portrayal of the characters were spot on, making easy to distinguish between the different voices. Their range and tone made for a great listening experience.

Overall, Dirty Deals provides the perfect escape  for those times you are looking for a quick and spicy read. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading

All I wanted to do was reach into the pages and ask

description

I mean she runs hundreds of mile to escape, but still drives around in her banana gold Porsche that mind you has GPS tracking. She refuses to tell Rusty, the President of Evil Dead MC, her predicament putting his whole club at risk and yet ding dong and her fabulous vagina get a pass. I mean she worked in Vegas for shits sake, not everything there is legal, clean and corporate.

The story was good until the rushed ending and Rusty was definitely the saving grace.

Loved it

Love Rusty and Ashlynn's story. Rusty was a sweetheart in a cocky kind of way.. Lol. And Ashlynn had him wrapped around her little finger. A lot of action in this book and had a hard time putting in down. Can't wait for Gypsy's story.

After witnessing a member of the mafia kill a couple people, she jumps in her Porsche and hightails it from Vegas until a flat tire brings her to the notice of a ruggedly, handsome MC Prez who is determined to puzzle out her secrets. A sizzling hot attraction, a cross between a biker romance and suspense, and engaging characters in a book told by dual narrators was a temptation I wasn't about to miss.

Dirty Deals is the second in the Devil Kings MC series which I believe share the same world as the Evil Dead MC series. I jumped in without book one and had no trouble though the events of the past and most of the characters are all part of the earlier book.

Dirty Deals opens in the glitzy and glamorous world of high rollers and luxury accommodations for those who can afford it and Ashlynn is the one to make sure her clients get the full satisfactory experience while spending money at the hotel. Everything is going great until the night she sees two murders committed when in the wrong place at the wrong time. Her escape is seen by the killers who are associated with the mafia and she just has time to toss her ever-ready Go bag into the back of her fabulous yellow Porsche and take to the road in an adrenaline rush across the country. Her run comes to a halt just outside Atlanta when her tire goes flat. To her rescue comes a wickedly attractive guy sporting a biker club vest and a patch that shows he's the Prez of what she sees as a gang. With a tire iron to keep things from going sideways, she watches him give her tire a temporary fix and she thinks that is that until Rusty turns up and won't be put off. Not that she wants to see the back of him. In fact, it isn't long when she wants a man bad enough to considering staying. Eventually, her past will catch up and keeping Rusty won't be an option.

Rusty is dazzled by the classy, sassy gal who is running scared, but full of moxy. When she purchases a gun and keeps her bagged packed while always looking scared of something coming for her, he's no fool. He's seen a lot of trouble and some of it bad enough to need a gun for, but he's willing to take on Ashlynn's problems if she would just trust him. Meanwhile, he entices her with sexy nights in her bed, work at his custom motorcycle shop, and friends with his motorcycle club family. He wants her to care enough to trust him and unpack that bag, but when the trouble starts up, she gets that hunted look and he has to do everything he can to keep her safe.

Dirty Deals has some darker deeds in it with killing and hunting down a witness and including a motorcycle club recovering from a violent shake up, but for all that, I felt the tone was fairly light. It paced along swiftly and steadily. It got hot and spicy quickly once the romance pair had their first encounter, but it didn't stretch credibility too far since they are a little older and both have a take charge 'know-what-I-want' attitude. The build up to the romance conflict and the suspenseful climax was great and that ending was swoonworthy.

Ashlynn is an uber competent high-class hotel guest associate. She looks the part and is at the top of her game so that owning her 'baby', the yellow Porsche and a bank full of funds is normal. Whereas Rusty comes across as laid back and country in ways, but he is much more as the owner of a successful custom bike business and now president of an MC chapter with good leadership skills and able to keep his head while in danger. They seemed to different, but that sizzling attraction and Ashlynn's satisfaction with working in the shop office gave prove to a possibility.

My only issue was two-part. There were hints about Ashlynn and Dusty's backgrounds, but they remained mostly vague and undeveloped. I didn't get to know them as thoroughly as I would have liked. Just like, I was fine with them as characters and even liked their romance, but at the same time, it happened swiftly and there didn't seen enough in common to hold them together long term. I wanted more connections for them, I guess.

As to the narration, I was startled by how the two narrators worked together instead of taking turns with the chapters. Ryan West voiced all the male speakers and Dusty's point of view and Virginia Rose did the same for Ashlynn and the other female voices. Once I was adjusted to this style of narration, I was right back in the story and loving both their contributions. I've already enjoyed Ryan West's work before, but this was my first encounter with Virginia Rose. They nailed the voices so I was certain who was speaking, they had good emotional range and caught the tone of the book well, and their overall storytelling was fabulous.

All in all, I enjoyed this easy and quick book with sizzling romance, suspenseful action moments, and colorful backdrop. I was hooked by the tantalizing hints leading into the next book. And, I definitely want to experience more of the series on audio. Those who enjoy lighter biker and extra spicy romance should definitely pick this book/series up.

I rec'd my copy from Caffeinated PR to listen to in exchange for an honest review.

This. Was. Awesome!!!

This is hands down my absolute favorite Nicole James book and Rusty is my absolute favorite hero. I loved Ashlynn too. They were amazing together from the very minute they saw each other. I’ve been so picky and unsatisfied with my MC reads lately. I LOVED every word of this book. The connection between Rusty and Ashlynn was so well written. I loved every interaction. Minor spoilers... I loved that there was no relationship drama between them—God that was so nice for a change. This book mainly focused on the development of their relationship and the threat that Ashlynn was running from. I started reading and didn’t put it down til I finished. I read this on KU but I’m going to buy it because I loved it that much!!

I enjoyed the first book and figured I'd get around to reading this book eventually. So when Kim asked me if I'd be interested in reading it for audio review, I thought "sure, why not?" Now I find myself thrilled that I agreed, because Dirty Deals was significantly better than Dirty Deeds (which I liked!).

I think I liked the scenario a lot better. Ashlynn is running from a double murder she witnessed - talk about wrong place, wrong time. Her luck seems out when she gets a flat tire - but turns out it was actually very lucky because that flat leads her to Rusty, president of the Devil Kings MC. I already knew and liked Rusty from Dirty Deals, but I really enjoyed getting to know him better. Even though the story is, once again not exactly believable, it was far more so. I was able to get lost in the tension and worry for Ashlynn - along with the incredible heat between her and Rusty - without skepticism.

It was also fun to see where the MC has gone since Rusty became Prez. And I especially enjoyed seeing more of Reno and Butterfly from book 1. Unlike with the end of book 1, where I figured I'd read on eventually, I'm eager to read the next book. This ended on a slight cliff. Not a bad one, but enough that I am READY to read the next one. I don't think it's on audio yet, though, so I will have to wait.

Because, the narration of this series is Fantastic. It has two narrators - Ryan West and Virginia Rose - and they complement each other so well. And it's my favorite kind of dual narration, where Virigina does all the female voices and Ryan does all the male voices. It makes it really easy to get lost in.

Dirty Deals
The Devil Kings MC Series, Book 2
By: Nicole James
Narrated by: Ryan West, Virginia Rose

These Devil Kings MC men are delicious! After book one, I was intrigued and couldn't wait to hear Rusty's story. Taking over the club as president has been a smooth transition. Little distraction has made Rusty a good leader. Passing a woman in distress is not something he will do, so when he sees Ashylynn on the side of the road with a flat tire, he stops to help. What better distraction than a woman that is hiding after witnessing a double murder? These two are destined for each other. Ashlynn is quite a woman. Smart, beautiful and what a car! She keeps Rusty on his toes. Rusty, the alpha protector is the kind of man we all love. He won't let any harm come to his woman. But when trouble hits, will he be able to keep her and the club safe? This is a suspenseful, exciting listen with wonderful characters. I really enjoyed this, not knowing who to trust, who to call, when things would come to a head, thrilling excitement, Add that to the combustible chemistry and hot passion between Rusty and Ash and the story is exactly what I love.

Ryan West and Virginia Rose narrate this gem with finesse. West is perfect as the alpha, Rusty. He has a raspy tone that both heats my ears and commands respect. Rose comes in as the feisty Ashlynn, giving her attitude and vulnerability. Together they are fantastic and made for a wonderful listen.

I was pulled into this book right from the get go, which is where I stayed until I had read every single word that was written all the while I had it playing out in my head like a little mini movie.
There are twists, turns and surprises through out this book. Some of the surprises you may see coming and others you might not, some of the surprises are large, while others are small, but each and everyone has equal importance in the book and help to make the book the fantastic read that it is.
I went on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster ride with this book, I did cry, so if you are anything like me you might want to have your tissues available to be on the safe side. Each and every emotion that the characters go through can be felt and some will even pull on your heart strings. I went through the emotions with the characters. For me personally if I go through what the characters are going through, I usually enjoy the book better.
There was a time or two I wanted to reach into the book and smack a couple of the characters, but they redeemed themselves.
I loved every single word that was written about this book.
I highly recommend this book, this series and this author.
This book is also available on audible.

Have always enjoyed this authors books. Very edgy and angst ridden, lots under the radar action within the MC. This series not so much. I thought Reno's book was a bit light on the MC and heavy on the romance, and this next would be along the same lines as the Evil Dead MC series, but nope. While the writing is always well done, the character building seems a bit unevolved. No real explanation as to why Ashlynn is so unsettled and warry or Rusty as new DK President having any real MC action or conflict with members. What does this MC do other than gather around the clubhouse to drink and party?
Rusty obviously has a business that possibly employs other members, but that is just a guess. They possibly have a Strip Club they run, but these things aren't really flushed out much.
This book plays out strictly within the Rusty and Ashlynn dynamic with a little smattering of MC action. While this was interesting in its own right, it can't maintain the MC Romance listing, because it is more Contemporary Romance than anything.
The world definitely needs to expand and grow. Hopefully the 3rd book will do it.
While I read this via Kindle Unlimited, I can honestly say it was worth my $$, but the jury is still out on my time.

♥️🌼Love Rusty & Ashlynn🌼♥️
When I buy a book by Nicole James, I know I’m going to get everything I look for in the books I read... (1)a hot alpha male, (2)a strong chick, (3)a good story with some dark and some angst, but not too much, and (4)a happy ending...Her latest, DIRTY DEALS, doesn’t disappoint...♥️🌼
Rusty is the hot, alpha president of the Devil King’s MC, and his responsibilities are heavy...He’s not looking to settle down, but when he sees Ashlynn, he can’t walk away...♥️🌼
Ashlynn was a luxury concierge for a high end Las Vegas hotel, and while doing her job, she finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and sees something she should not have seen...She has no choice but to run...far away...Her Porsche breaks down in Georgia, and a biker stops to save the day...and to save her for himself...But Ashlynn is a runner with a guilty conscience, and that doesn’t bode well for a long-term relationship... ♥️🌼
DIRTY DEALS is book 2 of Nicole James’ Devil Kings MC series, and it’s a good one...Even though they are standalones, DIRTY DEEDS is good too...Read both books...♥️🌼

Loved Ashlynn and Rusty

Nicole James did another great job with the second book of her Devil Kings MC series.

Rusty is doing a damn good job as the president of the newly reorganized club with Reno, his VP, beside him. The Devil Kings are settled in their clubhouse with plenty of trust and loyalty amongst the brothers.

While out on the road, Rusty sees a beautiful woman on the side of the road standing next to a yellow Porsche with a flat tire ... and the rest is history.

Ashlynn and Rusty hit it off immediately. It doesn’t take long for them to fall in love. The problem is that Ashlynn is running away from a scary situation out in Vegas—one where those involved would like it to stay in Vegas.

Never fear! Her knight in black leather with his chrome horse to the rescue. Nothing better than a badass MC taking down the bad guys.

I enjoyed this story, although I wished it was longer. Nicole is a great storyteller, and I would have liked to have seen more banter and dialogue between the guys. I’m sure by book three that’ll happen as we get to know the same clubhouse characters a bit better. I definitely recommend this one as well as the first, Dirty Deeds.

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧

Dirty Deals by Nicole James

Rusty’s reputation with the Evil Dead MC left something to be desired. I like that in this series we got to know what was happening behind the scenes at his club, The Devil Kings, during that same timeline. We also got a deeper dive into who Rusty was.

Ashlynn was an independent woman who found herself in a tough predicament that causes her to go on the run. Why someone would go on the run in a bright yellow expensive car is beyond me 🤷🏻‍♀️ but thank goodness it’s fiction 😂

I liked these two together despite some annoyance for Ashlynn’s propensity to keep secrets when being open would’ve made things way easier.

Ryan West and Virginia Rose did an incredible job with their narration. The quality was fantastic with very smooth transitions in speech. I was genuinely impressed. Also, Ryan West could read a shopping list and I’d still be interested 😳 😝

Great addition to the series!

FINAL RATING: 4 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rusty and Ashlyn

I saw the cover and the author and had to read this one. So good I got the first book in the series to read since I read them out of order.

Classy Vegas hostess for the biggest spender gamblers, Ashlyn saw something she shouldn't have. Something that the obligatory NDR wouldn't cover. She ran. Until car trouble left her stranded by the side of a country road.

Rusty couldn't miss the hot car and hotter woman. He stopped and helped out, despite the tire iron she was holding--not to change a tire.

It was only the first meeting but far from the last. Steamy, two great characters, and the MC club, involved in a deadly situation that could bring down the newly re-established club. Will they be able to trust each other enough to work through it and with the club and their lives?

Gotta go--need to read more about Reno and Butterfly.

This is the second book in the Devil Kings MC Series. This is definitely my favorite MC Series. Rusty and Ashlynn are great characters. Rusty is the president of the Devil Kings Atlanta MC. He is sexy, alpha, handsome, caring, and protective. Ashlynn is beautiful, strong, and smart. They are opposites attract, and they share an instant attraction, and a sizzling chemistry. They are perfect together. The story is fast paced, and suspenseful. The supporting characters are great. I loved to see again Reno and Kara. The Devil Kings MC men are handsome. Ryan West and Virginia Rose did an outstanding job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to Dirty Desires, Gypsy’s story, the next book in the Series. If you like MC Romance, this Series is for you. #CaffeinatedPR #TheAudioFlow

Ashlynn and Rusty meet when she is on the run from two mafia brothers. She saw something she shouldn't have and has to flee Vegas for her life. She lies to Rusty and claims she is running from a stalker. He knows something is going on, but remains in the dark until he realizes someone is after her who is a lot smarter than a potential stalker should be. He puts himself and his Club on the line to protect her. Aslynn is used to running from her problems and Rusty has his work cut out for him in getting her to break that habit. When things come to a head, while Rusty convince her to stay and fight with him? You will have to read the book to find out.

My Rating: 4 stars!

I can’t get enough of Nicole James’ MC romances! And this one was just as enjoyable, just as swoon-worthy, and just as thrilling to see unfold! 😍😍

My only downside to this book? It was too friggin’ short! Nowhere near as long or as organically developed as it’s predecessor, Dirty Deeds. Ugh. I have loved and been intrigued by Rusty since the good ol’ Evil Dead MC days where he was introduced in Shades’ book as Skylar’s ex-boyfriend.

After having read Dirty Deeds, not only did it cement a new love for these Devil Kings members (and spin-off series), but it reiterated how much I wanted Rusty’s story.

I want to say that Rusty has been consistent in his personality and traits since he was first introduced in Evil Dead, all the way up to this book — HIS book. He always stood out to me as a character, whom despite being in a big bad MC, had morals, gentlemanly manners, and just good all around decency. I am so glad, he hasn’t strayed away from that. Dirty Deals, just made me love him even more and knowing that he’ll finally have his own HEA!

Okay! — Let’s talk storylines before we move onto my thoughts on our heroine, Ashlynn (aka Hot Rod), shall we?

The blurb pretty much sums up the plot to a T. Ashlynn blew a tire out and the lucky girl that she is, happen to have had Rusty riding past, pulled over to help her out, and the rest is history! 😉 You might say, their attraction to one another was instant. So, you can imagine me already scooting over, hand under my chin, grin on my face, and my full undivided attention in place!

With Reno’s book; Dirty Deals, the majority of the story revolved around their MC. In this instance, Rusty’s story revolved around Ashlynn and ensuring her safety. It still has a nice MC backdrop with members dropping by now and then, and having some of the scenes play out in their clubhouse, but make no mistake, Ashlynn and Rusty’s growing relationship, and her troubles are very much in the forefront.

It’s a little different from Nicole James’ previous MC romances in the sense that it’s MC-lite and more romance. Rusty, isn’t as gritty or troubled as some of the other MC characters Nicole has written in the past. Yes, he’s alpha. But he’s also patient and willing to take things slowly when it comes to someone he truly cares about.

I would’ve loved it even more if the story was little longer, so that it didn’t feel like things were progressing too fast. Their relationship, although sweet and steaming hot… it also felt like they skipped a few milestones between getting to know each other to not being able to live without one another. It still works, but in my opinion it only does because it’s an MC romance. If you’ve read from this genre before then you know, the guys usually move a little faster in claiming who they want. If this was more of a contemporary romance, then I consider their relationship leaned more towards insta-love.

Don’t get me wrong, this was an enjoyable read that had me hooked from start to finish. I would definitely reread it again, and I’m not gonna lie the cover is now one of faves out all of James’ book covers! I just wanted MORE! ✊ More Rusty! ✊ More Rusty! ✊ More Rusty!

Ashlynn is an independent, well established career woman. It’s always refreshing to see a heroine in an MC romance to be so self-reliant. Yes, she’s a damsel in distress when it comes to the trouble she falls into, and yes, Rusty is more than willing to help her out. But I love that she’s financially set, and that she actually likes to work.

She’s got some personal issues and quirks, but she’s not naive, immature, or a pushover (which I always favor in my heroines!)

She knows she’s in a fucked up situation, but I respect her for wanting to make sure the people she cares about doesn’t get sucked into it with her. She thinks about consequences and actually uses her brain to piece things together.

Likable, smart heroine? ✔
Stunner of a anti-hero? ✔

This can be read as a standalone as each book centers around a different MC member. I still highly recommend you read Dirty Deeds so you get the entire backstory of the club, how Rusty became the President, and to get to know the relationships between the secondary characters (aka the rest of the MC members). If you really want to see what the Devils Kings MC were like in the past, how much they’ve evolved, and get an even bigger impression of Rusty — then read Shades from the Evil Dead MC series.

You don’t get a lot of world-building in this book. It’s more of a continuous from the first one, with very little expansion since — but as I said earlier, this one is less MC, more romance.

And whilst Rusty and Ashlynn’s relationship came together relatively quickly, there are some very memorable moments where they do try to get to know each other more. Their feelings for one another is actually one of the more solid things in this book.

A highlight is always the brotherhood and friendship that James’ always manages to include in her books. This was no different. There’s banter, but there’s also some deep camaraderie between the men. (Another reason why I think Nicole James’ is at the top of the game when it comes to MC romances).

Somewhat short, but a worthwhile read. I’ve come to really love this spin-off series and look forward to the next installment. Effortless storytelling that’s full of life and love. Make sure to leave room in your book boyfriend list for Rusty’s name, because I guarantee after you read Dirty Deals, he’ll be all over it!

Dirty Deals starts off in a bang and end in a bang. I absolutely loved this story although at times I was like is Ashlynn dumb or what. I loved Rusty because he is all alpha male and he knows what he wants or so he thinks but he knows that he wants to protect Ashlynn even though she doesn't tell him the shizz storm she is in at first. Then when shizz hits his club he wants answers and he is not taking no for an answer.

This is a roller coaster of a ride read and I loved every minute of it. This is a one click series!

Devil Kings MC. Rusty & Ashlyn

Ashlyn was a concierge for a high end Vegas Casino. She had regular customers that she took care of. But, one night she witnessed 2 people murdered. She fled to another state and even bought a gun. But she met Rusty the Prez of the Devil Kings MC. He helped her with a flat tire and she needed someone to show her how to use a gun. Because Ashlyn is running from the mob, and she is going to need all the protection she can get. I really enjoy this series, and seeing Reno and Megan again is Awesome.

Run for your life , then find a hunk and stay !

Ashlynn Fox had a great job working in Vegas until she saw something she should not have a murder, now on the run , she has a flat tire. Sitting there trying to figure out what to do a motorcycle pulls up a drop dead gorgeous hunk gets off ask her if she needs help! Let's just say from now on out the story gets hot, steamy, and really dangerous! Recommend with a 5 Stars rating

Hot Rod Fast Read

The story immediately grabbed my attention and didn't want to put it down. I loved the strength and style of Hot Rod. And if course no one would match except the pres of a MC. The suspense of what would happen next between Hot Rod and Rusty kept me drawn in. The only thing missing for me was if she ever unpacked her suit case. I look forward to reading other books by Nicole James.

Great sequel

Loved the Evil Dead and this continuation with Rusty (Skylar’s ex) as President of the club that was looking for her is great. Liked the way Rusty talked about Skylar as the one who got away and his realizations must move on Ashley in the description looks like Skylar so he has a type wasn’t really a fan of Ashley but I think she comes around to be somewhat ok my favorite is still Skylar.

KU. I enjoyed this book. I thought the story was good. Rusty and Ashlynn did have a connection and it was believable. I did get frustrated with Ashlynn (Hot Rod) when she wouldn't tell Rusty the trouble she was in. He seemed to give her everything and she still didn't trust him. Liked that the other MC guys were in the story. Sorry to see this story end. Liked the ending of the book to keep you curious about the next book.

Entertaining

Great read! I like Rusty almost as much as I love Shades in the companion series Evil Dead MC club. It was interesting watch the ED arch enemies try to turn their club around after having to oust members who were taking the club down. I really liked Ashlynn a lot, she was independent and was a challenge for Rusty. Rusty was swoon worthy, so good for and to Ashlynn. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series

Book 2 in the Devil Kings MC series, narrated duet style with Ryan West and Virginia Rose.
I really loved Ashlynn's character for her independence and strong personality, she's a great fit for Rusty.
Rusty, who became the new president of the club with Reno as his VP, is alpha, protective and I think he's laid back enough to counter Ash's nervous energy.
Great continuation of the series and I love both narrators. Hopefully they narrate the next one as well!

Ok read. The beginning did have me hooked and got me excited to read it, but the rest of the book was just so so. Ashlyn was frustrating throughout with her lack of trust, lack of communication, and stupid mistakes. I liked Rusty, but it didn’t really feel like he fit the character of a president of an MC. Really, the whole MC aspect of this book just wasn’t there.

Not sure I’ll plan to read the next book in the series.

Rusty

The minute Rusty and Ashlynn meet turned both their world's upside down. She's a runner when times get tough and he's not willing to let that happen. Their chemistry is off the charts hot. His proposal brought tears to my eyes and I wanted to say yes. From the minute I picked this book up I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what Gypsy has been up too.
