- Evan - There are no instructions for confessing your undying love to your dream girl—trust me, I looked. Spoiler: blurting it out after she just broke up with her long-term boyfriend is not the move. Especially when she responds by sprinting in the opposite direction. Now we’re paired up for a class project, and pretending I didn’t completely implode our friendship is officially my full-time job. I can’t screw this up. Not when losing her once nearly wrecked me.
- Natalie - Some mistakes you can laugh about. Some—like drunkenly kissing your friend the same night you break up with your ex, only to panic and ghost him—you just...repress. (Or try to.) Evan is every daydream I’m not supposed to have, and now that I’m finally ready to stop running, he’s the one keeping his distance. How do you fix things when your timing has always been just a little bit wrong—and your heart’s been in it all along?
Allie lives in sunny Florida with her husband, daughter, and two cats. A librarian by day, she spends her nights writing happily ever afters. She enjoys reading, playing video games, and all things Disney.
This has to be my favorite one in the series. I just love Evan! He is so sweet and loving and strong. He broke my heart a couple times while reading but I just adored him! I was so happy he got what he has always wanted, Natalie.
And she was someone that I just loved too. They are so perfect for each other. I don’t think I ever hated her while reading, not even for a little bit. I knew all of her decisions she made where from the good of her heart even if it broke mine.
This whole series is so good but I have to say Evan and Natalie are my favorite so far!
Allie Winters knocks it out of the park, again! No One Else was so good and the story line was completely unexpected. In short, Natalie gets dumped by her boyfriend of several years. Very soon after that her friend and coworker, Evan, up and drops the "I love you" bombshell on her. Drama ensues as you would expect. What you wouldn't expect is that there is so much more to this story. While Evan and Natalie work towards repairing their friendship, and possibly/maybe becoming more, they have to deal with outside influences on their relationship. This story had twists and turns I didn't see coming. I loved every minute of it! I haven't the slightest idea which couple will be next in the Suncoast University series, I just hope that Winters isn't done with us yet. I'm not ready to stop visiting this campus!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A friends to lovers story full of miscommunication, drama, jealousy, and heartbreak.
Natalie newly single from a three year relationship goes out to enjoy the new freedom when her friend Evan declares his love. Drama ensues. Can they remain friends after such an announcement?
Mix in a jealous ex, snotty sorority girls, lies, miscommunication and you got yourself twists and turns you won’t see coming.
A coming of age story which shows trusting yourself, your feelings, and true friends is the most important thing. You will be rooting for Natalie and Evan the whole story long. Evan makes the perfect swoony book boyfriend!
Allie Winters did it again. I thought the first two books were amazing but this third book is of the charts. I just loved the story and the characters so much❤️I couldn’t put it down. I started today reading it and finished it four hours later. I just couldn’t put it down.
I love this series and each book gets better and better.
The friends-to-lovers trope was well written. Allie Winters delivered on Evan and Natalie's story. The buildup, the angst, the heat. It was fantastic.
Evan: He is just too sweet for words. Muscly hunk with an awkward side? Perfection. He was committed to Natalie and pursued her in a way that made her comfortable. I just loved it.
Natalie: While frustrating at times as an MC, she ended up becoming one of my favorite heroines in this series. She says it exactly how she feels, stands up for herself. Watching her fall for Evan was awesome.
The storyline. It was wonderful. There were parts that made me LOL and some that made me want to cry, especially with Evan's father -- who is one of the best side characters ever!
I can't wait for more of this series, more from this author. Allie Winters is quickly becoming one of my must-read authors!
Evan's mouth gets him in trouble and sends his friendship with Natalie into awkward! Can he ever find a way to win her over?
She's the nice, good girl, who does a lot of charity work. He looks at her and sees the perfect girl for him. She looks at him and sees a really good friend, until one day she looks and sees so much more. She sees muscle, warm hazel eyes, and the kind of man she wants and deserves.
Throw an ex-boyfriend that just can't seem to let go, into the mix. He's manipulative and conniving, and just trying to get Natalie back.
This book is a love story from beginning to end, but the ending will keep you on your toes.
I was given a ARC of this book. This is the third book in the Suncoast University series. This is the first time I have read a book by this author. I have not read any other books in this series. This is the story of Natalie and Evan. All it needed was stars to align for this couple to realise all they were meant for each other.
Heat Factor: Nothing like having no privacy to stir up a nice, hot, slow burn
Character Chemistry: Allie Winters lights the ole fire under these two pretty much immediately, then dumps some cold water on everything, and then it’s a nice simmer until we all finally get what we want!
Plot: Evan is earnest and completely head over heels for Natalie — always has been, always will be. But then it’s like…too fast! Too slow!! Crazy ex! What’s going on!!
Overall: Allie Winters takes her fabulous series and kicks things up a notch by embracing some really deliciously messy people and stirring the pot…
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. We disclose this in accordance with 16 CFR §255.
This just a standard new adult romance. Not very much happens, but it's sweet and both of the characters are very likeable. Totally worth reading if you've been reading this standalone series, but it's by far not the best in the series either.
