Some love stories are a slow burn. Others are quick to ignite, scorching and branding your very soul before you’ve taken that first breath. You’re never given a chance to run from it. That’s how I’d describe what happened to us.
Everything around me blurred and all that existed were his lips, his touch… The chase and the heat between us became addictive. Our nights together were a distraction, one we craved to the point of letting the world crumble around us. We should have paid more attention; we should have known that it would come to this. We both knew it couldn’t last, but that didn’t change what we desired most.
All we wanted was each other…
This is part one of an epic tale of both betrayal and all-consuming love.
Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.
In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

Title: ➳ ❤ Do You Want Me? Author: ➳ W Winters Publication: May 5, 2020 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
ღ If you are new to W Winters, you won't want to miss this prequel to Marcus. Delilah & Cody story… even thought that this is just taste to what’s to come in This Love Hurts , I’m already hooked… I’m so desperately curious to learn more about our mystery man & his relationship with both Delilah & Cody… You’ll be begging for more of Marcus, as I was after finishing this book
📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book.
➦* Note: ARC kindly provided by author in exchange for an honest review. This has not influenced my review!
Is it too much for the author to warn the readers if his/her book is a standalone or part of a series???? If I had known that the current one is the first part of a series, I would have waited for its completion in order to start reading it. It’s the second time I am being mislead by this author. I had the same experience with A Single Glance when it was released. 😤
Nevertheless, I struggled to finish it. While the writing was good, I couldn’t connect with the characters nor with the story. The storyline was up in the air with vagueness and generalities. Having an abstract concept surrounded by mystery without substance, going round and round, do not fall in line with my reading preferences.
I understand that this is a prequel and am about to dive into the complete book. The author’s writing is superb, really well done but I found myself questioning what was going on.
Delilah is the character that we see the most first-person perspective from. We also see Cody’s and Marcus’s perspective (very slightly on Marcus’s). Delilah is a lawyer, has a lot going on in her life and has a history with Cody. 5 years ago, they were working on a case that didn’t end well and became a cold case. They got some press about that at the time and now it’s come back to haunt Delilah. Delilah’s family is going through physical abuse that had been hidden and she and Cody have finally decided to get somewhat involved. In the meantime, we have Marcus in the background, stalking them. It’s so much but nothing concrete is revealed.
When I read a romance novel, I want to see the when the main characters (are Cody and Delilah the main characters 🤔lol) are intimate. Here, it’s suggested. Also, I felt like I needed to REALLY pay attention to what was going or else I was lost. That’s not a bad thing, but I needed more. I’m sure I’ll know more once I read the next book.
I liked it.. so far so good.
⚠️safety squad⚠️ -no cheating/sharing/owd -maybe OMD: there’s a man that is interested in the h but she doesn’t know it. Could make it a triangle -marital abuse (h’s parents) -serial killer’s crimes recounted -child abuse/kidnapping recounted -FTB so no info on safe sex
I haven't read ANYTHING from this author before, and I know that's a shame, but sorry/not sorry.
Her books are somehow all connected, and I honestly to God, need more hours in my day to read them all.
Anyway... This one is a Prequel to a "suppose" standalone (or so I've been told, and now I know that surprisingly, this one is part of that long and connect chain of series and duets, but also can be read as a standalone).
I've to confess that I felt like trowed in the middle of something while I was reading this book.
It's about a lawyer (Delilah), a FBI's agent (Cody), and some creepy stalker of both of them (Marcus). The first two has a long term work relationship, with a lot of sexual tension, that they finally acted on five years later, making the third person in this weird triangle, a little upset.
There's a few POVs for each of them, but as a new reader into this world, I got lost on who's the good or who's the bad guy here (apparently the men had history).
The writing style is amazing, so I'm going forward into the next book, hoping that I'll get answers and understanding, without any other previous book.

a good prequel that shouldnt be listed as a prequel. i feel like everything in this is necessary to know for the series, so it should be read first. this is an essential introduction to the main characters, important setting of the scene, and a taste of things to come.
i'm not really sure what to make of it, i know it's the intro to start a series but like so much went on but it also dragged? if that even makes the slightest sense.
i am curious to know how the rest of the books go one day, but i'm not in a hurry to go and devour it currently.
I should’ve read this after book one ‘cause the author jumps straight into the story in this. This novella was interesting though. I wanna read more about Marcus and their ‘deal’.
3 stars but I blame myself for not reading this one later in the series.

I'm not sure where to begin? Firstly, this can be read without having to read anything else before hand. It’s the start of Marcus’ story.... but I do highly recommend reading the entire series as well! HOLY HELL... WHAT IS HAPPENING?! This isn't like anything of Willow's I have read before. It's completely left me in shock... Well, more shock that normal and NEEDING MORE!!!
If you are familiar with this world Willow Winters has written then you would have heard about Marcus. The mysterious man in the shadows. I have been racking my brain on working out who this man is for so long. I have lost sleep thinking up possible ideas and the author has built the suspense up on this character and this prequel was the perfect start of what is promising to be an amazing series of books about this man. The man is dark, dangerous, mysterious, and alluring... Am I meant to hate him? I think I am but I don't I already love this character and need to know more... The author has grabbed me hook, line and sinker and I am on the edge of my seat, eagerly waiting for whats to come! One thing I can say about Marcus and this book? You are not ready. I don't think any of us are ready for his story... But BRING IT ON!!
Note: I was granted an ARC generously by the author in exchange for an honest review.
This book was pretty short but amazing, had me hooked, line, and sinker.
It automatically got started, no time wasted at all. The characters were written well, although sometimes the attachment to them was not there, but in the end I liked reading about them.
The writing was pretty intriguing, to the point I could not stop turning pages each time I read a page. It was that good.
The romance...ah so complicated..my feels were never so confused on which direction they should go.
Overall, a good prologue to the oncoming books in the series.
A must read if you want to know the backstory to the first, second and final novel in the series.
Do you want me is a prequel to This Love Hurts which is coming soon. A little taster setting up the story that leads us to Marcus! Marcus has been a presence in the Merciless world throughout the whole story and my curiosity about this mysterious foe has only increased with every book I devour!
Well now it's finally time to get closer to the man himself. Do You Want Me is mostly Delilah's POV, giving us a taster of the woman that Marcus can't get out of his mind. Set some years prior to where we are in the cross brothers universe right now. I loved getting more back story about Detective Walsh and Delilah before she fell from grace and ended up the inpatient in a mental health facility that we know her as now. With a few little surprises and of course some steam, it's a great little read to suck you back into the Merciless Universe.
Willow has made a great decision here to entice her readers with this prequel to wet our appetite before we get stuck into the main course, and I am more intrigued now then ever!
Delilah: A lawyer Cody: FBI Agent Marcus: Police officer(from what I’ve gathered in the last chapter, not 100% sure though)
This book revolves around the 3 of them, somehow they are connected as in something regarding a case. We get a little insight into Delilah and Cody’s past but nothing regarding Marcus. Right now Delilah and Cody are involved, but Marcus and Delilah will have something in the future as mentioned in chapter 1. All three of them have a very mysterious past, especially Cody and Marcus. The fact that Marcus watches them when they are together in her apartment is creepy, and the fact that according to him Cody is aware of the fact that he’s watching is creepier.
I’m really curious as to what will happen in the future, and what dark secrets is Cody hiding according to Marcus? And how will Marcus and Delilah end up together even though Delilah doesn’t even know he exists? Plus I’m curious to find out what letters Cody and Marcus exchange between each other or used to. Till now it seems like a really interesting book. Hopefully, it remains the same as I have high hopes for this one.
I honestly don’t know how to rate this. this is the first book i’ve read by this author and it says it can be read as a standalone plus it’s a novella so I thought why not. but idk.. 2.5 stars

I wanted to read the prequel before I started the first book but everything in here is so incredibly vague. I can’t connect with the characters at all and my head hurts from trying to make some sense of all the loose dots swarming in the air—dots that the author expects me to connect but are just impossible too. It’s like I’m walking on the surface of the ocean, looking down, wanting to get emerged in it but the surface never breaks. This prequel was unnecessary and just a waste of paper.
So, apparently this was a prequel to a series and I did not know this. It wasn’t even a complete prequel. It sort of just cut off abruptly. It also didn’t do much to explain enough about what the rest of the books might be about or what they might focus on. It was all very vague.

“One day the story we started would pick back up … I simply don’t know how it will end.”
Do You Want Me? is the beginning of the highly anticipated story of our mystery guy, Marcus. It’s a look into him, his world, a little of his mind. But all still remains.. he’s still a mystery.
Why does Marcus do what he does? Why is he looking into who he does? What are his goals? Who. Is. Marcus?
All these questions still remain unanswered but it’s coming. I can feel it.. and when it does, I just know Willow is going to blow my mind.
Dark, suspenseful intro to Marcus's story. We finally get a glimpse of the puppet master from the Merciless world. And let me tell you, he comes off scary. This is a love triangle between Marcus (serial killer extraordinaire), Delilah (feisty lawyer) and Cody (FBI agent). They all have their secrets and none of them is innocent, not even the "good guys". Moving on to "This love hurts".
The 𝐵𝐼𝐺𝐺𝐸𝑆𝑇 𝐴𝑁𝑇𝐼-𝐻𝐸𝑅𝑂 is here... he is the faceless man, the boogeyman, the man that the lurks in the shadows, the master puppeteer, the enigma, he is... *whispers “𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑐𝑢𝑠”*
This prequel is not to missed. 𝐼𝑡 𝐼𝑠 𝐸𝑉𝐸𝑅𝑌𝑇𝐻𝐼𝑁𝐺! And GAHHHHH, yet it is so much more than I expected or could ever anticipate. Willow has taken this a whole new level and she’s taken my heart and all my emotions with her for the ride of its life!
In Do You Want Me? we finally meet Marcus’ heroine and I’ve fell down the rabbit hole for the zillionth time, my emotions are at an all time high and I’m on the very edge of my seat... this is Willow Winters like we’ve never seen her before. I’m saying it again, 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑚𝑦 𝑓𝑎𝑣𝑜𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑡𝑒 𝑏𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟, but what’s more is that this book can be read without any prior reading. This is the most perfect introduction to anyone yet to start this not to be missed author!
DO YOU WANT ME is a Prequel to THIS LOVE HURTS. Which is the long awaited Marcus' story. Originally I was going to wait till THIS LOVE HURTS was released, to read DO YOU WANT ME. But last night, I was looking for a new book to read. DO YOU WANT ME just called to me with that beautiful cover. Glad it did, because I read it in one sitting. This is the hidden torrid affair between, Delilah, a prosecuting attorney, and FBI Agent Cody Walsh. Marcus is an invisible force controlling and manipulating from the shadows. It is made obvious that Delilah is the real love interest to Marcus. You know Marcus is only going to let Cody have her for just so long. Before he will put an end to their hot love affair. This Prequel is just the beginning. Marcus' story continues in THIS LOVE HURTS. I plan to preorder as soon as I am done with this review.
I just wanted to share with you a quote from this book that made me laugh. “Some days you're the dog. Some days you're the hydrant. My auntie Lindie told me that one when I was young.”
