“Just go with it,” Lexi murmured... “Just go with the crazy. It’ll work out. It always works out.” --------- March 30: I GOT IT --------- March 25: NOW IT SAYS THE 30TH? ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME NOT READ IT? I know I don't want it to end, but this is taking it a bit too far... --------- March 20: WHY is it saying March 25th instead of today??? --------- February 23: Waiting for the graphic audio, which is coming out on March 20th, 2025
The time has come for Alexis and Kieran to face off with the other Demigods at the Magical Summit. Kieran has to prove his worth if he wants to keep his position in San Francisco but with Lexi's magic in high demand the whole team have to prove themselves capable of defending themselves and if they can't they'll be picked off one by one as the other Demigods try to steal them for their own teams. The stakes have never been higher and they only have a limited time to show the world they're not to be messed with.
As sad as I am to reach the end of this series I'm very happy to say it ends on a high note (I still have hopes that we'll get more books in this world though, even if they're about the other members of the crew with Lexi and Kieran no longer the main characters!). It's hard to review a series finale because you want to encourage new readers to start their journey in this world without giving spoilers (don't do that here please, but I'd highly recommend checking out the first book, Sin and Chocolate) but you also want to let series fans know what to expect. To be fair anyone who has read the previous books already knows what they're going to get in this series though and Sin and Surrender won't disappoint. There is action and intrigue, witty banter between the main team, more romance between Leix and Kieran plus we get to see Daisy and Mordecai show the magical elite exactly what they're made of.
It would be too easy to spoil the final story if I go into much more detail than that but trust me, if you enjoyed the rest of the series you're going to love every minute of this book. Although this is a finale of sorts I'm convinced there is more to see in this world and I really, really hope that we're going to get books about the rest of the crew, there are just too many fantastic side characters to let them go to waste!
Cue tears of sadness, joy, and an empty feeling for this epic series
This series… This series was simply amazing. Gahhhh!!! I am so sad to be done with all six books, but I am extremely excited to see which characters we get future books for LOL.
This book continues from where book 5 left off, which is Keiran and Alexis preparing for the summit. They’ve needed to strengthen their team, do drills and practices to improve and get stronger, and continue the sense of unity that they’ve had since the beginning. In this book, we see how much the characters have grown and how much they’ve improved their skills and fighting abilities. I was pleasantly surprised by how well everyone worked together, especially seeing how innovative, sleek, and stealthy Daisy was. Shoot, even Mordecai stepped up. I loved how individual characters were tested in different ways, kind of like a cumulative show of everything they’ve had to master since book one. This book had more politicking than other books for sure, and then we had different characters that had to take center stage and prove themselves.
The side characters are always fun to interact with LOL😂. The Six, Bria, The kids, Dylan, and especially Jerry made me laugh so many times. It feels like I’m ending a part of my life, LOL, but I am looking forward to see the future books K. F. Breene is planning to write and I’m hoping to continue seeing most of these characters in those books.
The surprise characters at the end of the book had me fan girling like crazy. I was swooning and smiling so much! Of course, I cried no less than three times reading this book. Even as I write this and remembering those times, I’m getting emotional 🥺❤️. Again, it’s a testament to how well-written these books are and how invested the audience is while reading.
Kieran and Alexis… gah… I didn’t want your story to end! I love how true your love is for one another, how faithful you both were to each other, and how endless and pure your emotions are. Kieran, you sexy hunk LOL, I’m going to miss you so much! The connection between these two in and out of the bedroom is timeless and hot 🔥🥵😉. Loved it all!!!
Highly, highly, highly recommended!! ⚠️ safety squad⚠️ -no cheating/sharing/omd/owd -there are some deaths, but we get so many surprises 🥰 -lots of battles -be prepared to cry 🥺❤️ -HEA/HFN/epilogue is in daisy’s POV and her book will be coming out soon 👏
I'm SO glad this series is over. There I said it. As much as I enjoy the world the author created I could barely stand Lexi and Kieran. Everything went WAY too easy for them because it went right the first time. They only started to "feel" it in the very end and by then I didn't want to hear about it.
Lexi and Kieran are overall good characters (especially Kieran, he's come a LONG way since book #1). Things are usually very difficult and stressful for them but they flew by with flying colors in this book for some reason.
The redeeming character's in the book were the background characters. The six, Jerry, Daisy, and the rest were awesome. They were in essence the comic relief but they were also the more entertaining of the bunch consistently throughout the story. I loved the way Daisy's story has been set up at the end of this novel and I'm looking forward to reading a story from only her point of view for a change.
The end. Again I'll repeat it: I'm glad it's over. I'm glad Lexi and Kieran get their happy for now ending. I'm glad I don't need to put myself through another one of these novels to get Daisy's witty comebacks and her story.
The Audio Book:
The narration was great! Though there were moments where some of the characters got a little mixed up in my head due to their voices sounding so similar to one another. There were no strange noises in the background of this narration.
This is a good series. But I don’t expect anything else from Ms. Breene’s books.
However, I’ve read quite a few of her series and Shanti, from The Warrior Chronicles series, still is my favourite. I guess I prefer a quite, calm, probably rather cold and mean heroine than someone who had a mild bipolar attitude, 😳😂.
I skip book #4, But I want to read it now! Something happened and it was good! 😘
Ms. Breene, can we get Daisy and her wicked Dark Fae story too, please?
I enjoyed this series a lot, it really made the past week interesting. I liked that we got different POV's, really loved that, especially reading about Daisy, can't wait for her book!
Speaking of Daisy, though I loved her A LOT, her character's maturity wasn't that believable. I know she was on the streets and had to fend for herself before Alexis's mom found her but this girl was 15 and spoke/acted like someone in her 30s. Loved her, but after a while her antics made me roll my eyes.
Alexis too also got tiring after a bit, she was always tearing up, for the littlest things! Sheesh, lighten up,sis. The near death experiences too where she has to tell her wards to run and live life to the fullest as she's about to get killed drove me bananas. I teared up in book 2 when I was reading that part, but after seeing it in books 3 , 4 and 5 I was like
All in all a nice fairy tale , where good conquers evil.
The ending and Daisy's POVs were the best so I'm hoping she gets her own stories, but other than that, I was pretty bored the entire middle of the story. Too much strategizing and it all became repetitive, and then although some of the action was good, I felt like there was also too much, and it became too wordy. So overall it was a decent read but could have been a bit better for a finale.
KF Breene pulled out all the stops with this one! Harding? Didn't see that one coming and it should have been obvious but the author so cleverly misdirected and blurred the edges that it was like a smack in the face.
The intrigue, the battles, the sneaky underhand maneuvering had me power reading through at an incredible rate of knotts. I really couldn't put this down and *may* have read far too late into the night just to finish it. I may well be yawning and hoping I can cope with work on a few hours sleep at the moment (oops).
I loved how my wish was granted, though being a very typical *insert cackling laugh* author Breene gave with one hand and took away with the other. I'm fairly certain she made this face whilst creating the scene that stomped on my heart.
I'm rambling because my brain is still scrambled from the sheer genius that is this book. Which I must tell you now can NOT be read stand alone. It's part of a six book series and whilst you could at a push start with book 4, to get the full benefit of this book, this story, you do really need to start at the beginning. Without a shadow of a doubt, and you really need to keep an eye on those pesky shadows, this is a book and series that I hugely recommend.
I liked this one much better than the previous book. But I’m still unclear on Magnus’s motives for killing his children, like I get they went back to kill him but....it’s just weird and swept away.
I was surprised in the middle to end there. I had suspected some people weren’t who they said they were and I was surprised I had figured it out so soon.
I am thrilled with Jack. That was so awesome I only wish I could spend more time with them before we left this world.
Hopefully Daisy and Mordecai get their own series/books or whatever. I have no idea who they are to end up with, plus Mordie needs to do all the pack stuff too. I’m surprised we didn’t get more of his perspective.
When you love an author's series, you can't help but compare her new books. I love this author's Chosen series. Shanti is one of my favorite heroines. That is saying something because I have read a lot.
I didn't love the first two books in this series. But it grew on me. I love Alexis and her wards. Even Bria and her crazy antics. And their misfit family.
I can't believe I finished the 6 books in 3days. Now I want to read more. I hope there is going to be a bonus scene like their wedding. I was really surprised about Harding.
Quite a wonderful end to the series. I would have loved an epilogue in the distant future and see if they have any kids. BUT I NEED BOOKS ABOUT DAISY NOW!! Like I want her spin-off series lol
I absolutely LOVED it!!! The storytelling was wonderful and I really cared about the characters (mostly the ones on Kieran and Lexi's team) even the very minor characters like Bertha. The ending was awesome and I loved the epilogue with Daisy. I can't wait for Daisy's story and hopefully Mordecai gets his story as well.
So sad this was the final book But wow what a book and the perfect finish the whole storyline was epic and so much banter, fun, heartache and joy surprises galore loved loved loved this series fantastic ending to this paranormal world. I love her crazy and love, love, love the characters and their banter and the world in which she created. It is a story with everything you need to make it a great paranormal story - with magic and betrayal, danger and mystery, suspense and drama I really hope we get more Daisy's and Mordies story in the future. can we have a spin-off???
🌟Brief Summary: This is a review for the entire 6 book series!!!
♥️This series is so underrated! I loved it like the entire series. It’s my new favorite and definitely a reread many times over in the future. It’s has everything and is so well balanced. This series has my heart and I will stand by the fact that for romance lovers, fantasy readers and safety readers as well it’s a must read.
✔️On point romance!!!!! No OPD no messing around with to much push pull, obstacles? Yes but these two are it for each other and we get to see them fall in love, grow and work together to defeat their enemies.
✔️Amazing cast of characters! I loved them all! EVERY SINGLE ONE! And that’s rare for me.
✔️Natural witty banter that isn’t trying to hard.
✔️Found family with cozy feel good family vibes.
✔️Urban fantasy world with magic and action.
✔️Characters who grow and change as the series progresses. I love taking the journey with them.
✔️A series that gets better with each book. I would say book 1 was my least fav and it just gets better from there. Also the first few chapters were a little weird to. I promise if you get past they it just gets better and the series as a whole is amazing!
Book 1 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 My least favorite cause it’s got the least romance but it’s needed to build the world and characters and is still highly entertaining and I love it. The romance is really lust based on this one but by the end there are definitely feelings starting to grow!
Book 2- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing! The romance has taken off! And the story and characters continue to grow closer as well as her magic! Sexy times happen to🥳
Book 3- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Love! Our couple is SOLID! the sexy times are hot 🔥 and the face off with Valens is underway!
Book 4- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Now that they have defeated Valen new enemies emerge. Alexis is super rare and powerful and lots of demigods either want to control her or kill her. Keiren is trying to protect her at all costs. 😤 mild very mild OWD- Keiren has to flirt w OW to get info. He uses a trickle of his Selkie magic to get rid of her. He definitely handled this situation wrong. But he doesn’t want OW or do anything other then feed into the OW desires. She touches his arm and kisses his cheek. I didn’t like this scene at all or think he needed to go to these extremes but it was a learning lesson and he doesn’t do it ever again. Also it was a fast quick scenes and he was not enjoying it. She was a pest to him. 😭There is a few very emotional scenes in this one guys be ready!!!!
Book 5- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This series gets better and better! New characters join our crew. Keiren and Alexis are stronger then ever and damn do they love each other. He loves her soooo much ♥️♥️♥️. We find out more about who they can trust and who they can’t…. But can they really?
Book 6- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 😭😭😭😭Why does this have to be over? I’m so sad… 😭 I love this series so much. Ok so we definitely get a HEA but I wanted a epilogue that was just about Kieren and Alexis. I wanted their wedding and maybe a bit of life after the events wrapped up. I definitely think this book has less romances cause they are solid and working through some politics. I would have like more of them together. I did enjoy the fight scenes and seeing all the demigods and I like the twist at the end a lot.
🔪 Daisy -15 her ward and family
🐺 Mordecai- 15 her ward and family
☠️ Bria- a spitfire and amazing friend to Alexis
🔪Red-
🪨Jerry
⚡️Dylan
☠️💕Harding
⭐️Team 6- Jack Donovan Henry Bowman Thane Zorn
🥀 Hero: Keiren- late 20 demigod Powers from Poseidon and Selkie sex magic
♥️This guy is the definition of swoon! He’s strong and powerful but only vulnerable for and with the h! Ugh he’s so loyal and devoted and in love♥️ he solid and constant once the romance gets going he never runs from his feelings for her.
Keiren is a HOT 🔥MFer I love him. -So he’s slow to the take at first I would say after book 1 is when he really shines in the romance swoon department.
-He extremely loyal to those he cares about and that’s a small number of people. He’s powerful and looking to avenge his mother’s death and mistreatment. He wants to take his dad down!
-He’s NOT a Manwhore 🥳… experienced yes and maybe was a playboy in his youth but we don’t hear about or see him w anyone. We don’t know his sexual history. -He’s NEVER slept In a bed with woman. He hit it and left. 💯 -He’s NEVER loved a woman or been in a relationship 💕 -He’s NEVER used his Selkie magic on a lover- 1 time when he was young he tried it and HATED how it controlled the OW so he never did it again till the h cause she can handle his magic ‼️
🦋 Heroine: Alexis- mid 25 Ghost whisperer and other
-She is a strong woman who takes care of her two teenage wards. One non magical and a shifter who is deathly sick. She works hard to maintain their life and stay under the radar. 💕 -She has been taught to stay off the magical worlds radar she isn’t exactly sure why but she trusts her mom. ✔️ -She definitely has good principles and priorities. She is likeable and as she learns more about her magic and life she is good with rolling with the punches and doing what she has to for her wards. 🥰
-‼️She has an Ex who’s bar she goes to for free drinks. That guy is nothing he barely makes an appearance and there was no live there.
-💕She’s experienced sexually. No real history but she def had Multiple partners and says it has been a few months since she was last with anyone.
-As the series progresses she grows a lot and gets a lot more powerful.
💭 POV: For the h first person For everyone else third person Mostly Alexis and Keiren POV
😡/😍 Angst level: The whole range at different times but overall not overly angsty
❤️🔥 Sex & Burn Rate: Book 1 - First kiss 77% with some mild fingering- no sex Book 2- 40 something percent first sex scene. Rest of the series has an average of 2 sex scenes per book.
🔥Loads of hot tension and chemistry throughout the series and a great build ups
🔥🔥🔥🔥 great sex scenes with lots of magic and intimacy!
🌓 Push/Pull: Only mild and only in the first 2 books She is unsure of him and dating a demigod He wants to protect her
☠️ OW/OM Drama: Mild OWD in book 4- Very very mild OWD- Keiren has to flirt w OW to get info.
-Throughout the series both have OP who want them and flirt with them but neither are interested or receptive. Both are very faithful to each other.
🤮 OW/OM Sex / Fluid or DNA Exchange: None
🤬 Cheating: None
👰🏼♀️ Virgins: -Neither are V -Both definitely experienced h- She says it’s been a few months H- No info on H last time- experienced but def not a Manwhore. -Her ex gives her free drinks at his bar out of pity. There is nothing between them. -Neither with ANYONE after meeting not even a desire for anyone else or interest
⛈️Separation/ 3rd Act Breakup: None
🎧AUDIO The ORIGINAL audio is amazing the narrator does such a wonderful job with the characters and emotions!
‼️‼️‼️The graphic audio is HORRENDOUS! I DNF! IT COMPLETELY CHANGED THE CHARACTERS AND THE VIBES OF THE BOOK. It was cartoonish and made into a comedy. They changed so much that I had to DNF. Keiren and Alexis were completely different characters. ALOT was edited out when it came to their romance to. HORRIBLE. It’s a completely different book if you do the GA! Be warned‼️‼️‼️‼️
Safety/Triggers🗡️: No OPD No sex with anyone after they meet Death of a parent
🌈Epilogue: No we get a epilogue for Daisy that will Lead into he book I really wanted to see the wedding and get an epilogue for Kieren and Alexis even if only a few months after
🥂HEA: Yes!!! ♥️ I did like the HEA they got
❌My opinion is just that… MY OPINION.❌ I know we all get passionate about our favorite reads and characters but we should respect each opinions a thoughts. ~Thank you

In a whole this series was fantastic. It was like Percy Jackson, The Lighting Thief (Rick Riordan) with a twist 2.0. My take away for this series is that while I did enjoy Rick's version I can't help but thank you K. F. Breene, for bringing this twisted but grown and sexy version to life. It was fun and action pack and you wrote the best supporting characters for our heroine and hero.
Applause on a job well done Breene! I'm quite happy and satisfied that the time that I invested in reading this series was well rewarded with a fantastic and exciting story.
I was so excited to read this final book because of the gushing reviews only to be disappointed. Involving the Gods to solve a few mysteries and issues in the series feels too much like cheating for me. If it was just Hades who made a TINY appearance, I think it would have been okay but having the Power Three was too... surreal. Also, Kieran and Alexis did not really do anything to showcase their power/skills in this book. No "wow" moments for either of them.
The Daisy worship also burned one of the stars from my rating. I was okay with her being a know-it-all in the first book, but the way the author put too much spotlight on her in the next books has become irritating. I don't know why the author did that while Mordecai has been relegated to just being one of the smaller side characters.
Oh yeah she saved the day because she persuaded Dara to help defeat Valens when Kieran himself couldn't even convince her; oh she's so awesome at surviving she killed her abductor when she was kidnapped by the Possessor; jeez, she's so smart with how she's stealing from Kieran to build her own nest egg; isn't she awesome, she gave Dylan money and a pep talk to start a new life after they blew his cover in Montana; oh she saved the day again by going against protocol and confronting Dara in the Promenade blah blah; oh look at that, a powerful dark fae showed interest in her for no reason and they have a special connection; and then finally of course check out her mad skills while she beat on some magical people and not get injured at all.
What's worse is that there were times when Alexis scolded her about her shenanigans, they either treated Alexis like she doesn't have a right to be mad or Daisy always wins the argument because she has to be right all the time. Like that time when Zorn asked Alexis to just let Daisy steal from Kieran and then when Alexis scolded her wards after the confrontation with Dara. Ugh.
The ending would've been a lot better if Alexis, Kieran, and the whole crew actually proved themselves to the other Demigods and earned the higher status. They were already halfway there with what they've accomplished in the halls but the author had to do a shortcut (divine intervention). I also thought Alexis was going to discover or develop a more awe-inspiring aspect of her power and show how powerful she really is but nope, that's not what happened.
I loved getting to know Amber more in this book and that battle between Bria and Aaron's Necromancers (the first time).
In summary, Daisy kept stealing the spotlight, Kieran and Alexis became just the narrators (almost), and their problems were solved because of divine intervention.

Everything Any Fan Of This Series Could Hope For!🙏😂🎉🌟 Sin & Surrender: Demigods of San Francisco, Book 6 By: K.F. Breene 🎧 Audiobook Narrated by: Khristine Hvam Length: 9 hrs and 47 mins 📖 Ebook
This book is pure pleasure. It should be a sin to read!😉😍 Alexis and Kieran, along with her ward's and their crew, are all preparing to finally attend the Magical Summit. It is here, they know from others previous experience, that it will be determined if his place as the official Demigod of San Francisco will stand or if he'll need to consolidate his place in other ways!😲 They also know that his unsanctioned mark on Alexis will be called into question. 1. Because it's against the rules to mark others without the Rulers consent.😒 2. Because Lexi's power is so feared & sought after.😡
It will be an actual & figurative fight for both Kieran, as well as Lexi, her Ward's, and the rest of the Crew.💥 He cannot step in to aid them in any fights as he will be facing political manoeuvring and intrigue, in meetings, and also won't immediately know who is friend or foe, well except for the obvious!🙈😡 Plus, it's excepted that all the Demigod's teams will fight to try and gain status and up their overall social standing.😳 Daisy and Mordecai are both going to attend. As a 'non magical human', Daisy attending is unheard of and is expected to reflect poorly on him, as a shifter that was abandoned as a child, Mordecai will be viewed as lesser too, they'll both be at risk regardless of being underage and therefore theoretically exempt from being targeted & challenged!😳
This is such a wonderfully fleshed out, well-rounded & beautifully balanced story.🙏 It has absolutely everything any fan of this series could hope for and even more.😍 I was completely blown away by the twists and turns, shocks and surprises. It's snarky, I snorted so many times at all of the one-liners.😂 But I also laughed out loud, then nearly swallowed my tongue in fear & pee'd my pants in excitement!😟🎉 It's an emotive juggernaut from start to finish, but the pace builds so sneakily, along with your pulse, that you barely realise it's about to explode until it's upon you!!😲💥
This book is, quite frankly, an epic finale to this series. It also lays the foundation for the start of Daisy's book/s, later in 2024/early 2025!💖🎉 I can't think of anything I'd want in this book that wasn't included, concluded, or explained - I'm truly in awe!🙏🌟
No seriously. I'm mourning this series like I lost a loved one. This journey has been spectacular, unexpected and unique. This series is the gift that kept giving for me in everyway and to read the end of this book and feel everything I felt just solidifies how great it really it. Books like this are priceless, they don't come often but mean more that most and just saying.. I've read ALOT of books. This is definitely a top 10 series for me.
Lexie, Kieron, Daisy, Mordecai, the Six+2, Bria, Harding.. hell even the cats. I am so invested in every character and their journey. I feel like it's been one of growth, self discovery and hope. They are a family. A dysfunctional one but a family none the less and that is felt through the pages. Through their interactions, the banter and bickering. The love. It's there and I loved it.
As far as world building goes this author has surpassed any and all expectations. This world in all it's weird and wonderful with it's many cracks and crevices is truly spectacular. I felt like I could imagine everything crystal clear and see what she was telling us through words. It really is the gift that keeps given.
Lexie and Kierons journey was not easy, not even a little. With every book came more development and depth to these characters and more excitement, unpredictability and heartbreak. I was never bored, I was never unhappy with anything and I never felt like I didn't want to read one because these characters and their story kept me locked in completely consumed in their world.
This book was the icing on a huge cake with a shinny bow on top. Every little question was answered, ever character had their moment and no stone was left unturned. As far as stories go.. it was seamless. I laughed and then laughed some more. I cried, I ranted and raved and I swooned like a crazy lady. Its been a journey for me as a reader reading their journey and I have loved every bit of it. I'm truly sad to see it end and I'm praying with everything that there will be more to come from the likes of Daisy, Mordecai, Bria and the gang. I'm just not ready to let them go yet.
If you love pnr romance then I can't recommend this enough. It's action packed, suspenseful, climactic, surprising, steamy, hilarious and above all has characters that you'll want to invest time in to.
Now at the risk of being a spoiler suzanne I'm leaving it here at this. Pnr doesn't get much better than this.
Finished the series on a pretty high note! I've seen a few people complain about everything working out too well for Alexis and Kieran which... if you hate HEA's then just skip those books lmao. I personally liked that there was a big wrap up to the whole series in those final scenes. There were so many questions that had yet to be answered even halfway through this book so it was exciting to see how it all got resolved.
This book cemented my negative feelings about Daisy though. My main problem with her is she's so damn rigid. I get the whole survivor, have to look out for number 1 always mentality. But she's so aggressively self-centred it made it hard to root for her.
Several times in this series, and especially in this book, she heard people say "hey don't do this, it could really hurt me in multiple ways" and she responded "yeah fuck you I know better than you but even if I didn't, I'd do what I want regardless of how it could hurt you!" Just because things worked out for her in the end... doesn't mean she made good choices. She was callous with everyone around her, including the people she loved the most. I get that she's 15, but since everyone was so damn adamant that she wasn't a regular immature 15 year old, her attitude and blatant disregard for how her actions affected everyone else came off as malicious rather than petulant.
But overall, I absolutely loved this series. There were clear bests for me, but I definitely enjoyed each book in general even if it had parts I wasn't in love with.
Alexis will go down in history as one of my favourite heroines ever. Great girl that Alexis.
I do think I ended up liking #6 more than the previous book which kind of felt like a filler. I just feel like there is so much more to this world we aren't getting.... I don't know, it is weird. I like how it ended! I'm just also confused by the whole... conference thing and the teams going out fighting it... I don't understand why they had to? Anyhow I'm glad I read this series, not sure if I'll re-read it again, but I am looking forward to Daisy's story!
"I love you" she said "You are my forever" he answered
This was again a fun and enjoyable read. Again we get three POV´s with Alexis and Kierans frequent and a new POV added. The storyline progressed nicely and the ending of the book tied the series beautifully together. Some plot twists at the end I didn´t see coming, some were expected. It still feels like Alexis and Kieran have sex at the most random moments sometimes and I would love for the trauma to be represented better, so exactly the same as with book 5. The first three books are still the best in my opinion. It sometimes felt like this was meant to be a triology but the author then decided to write more. Although the fifth and this book definitely redeemed the series and brought it to a nice overall ending.
I admit that having magic, a family where loyalty and fierce protectiveness drives them, a strong heroine that will do anything to protect her family is a pretty good combo for me. The same could be said about the hero and his chosen family, the six.
This book ends Kieran and Lexi’s story arch but by the way the book ends it is implied that there will be another book and that it may be Daysy’s. That would be awesome!
I loved it! It was great knowing these guys! I wish them all the best. I enjoyed this series so much, the characters are such a riot. I'll miss them and always think of them fondly.
5 Stars... The Magical Summit is finally here and the madness has begun... Alexis must keep her wits about her as she is relentlessly tested and challenged... As Kieran maneuvers the political machinations, Alexis must demonstrate their teams power and unrelenting ability to protect themselves and combat the enemy... In the end, all secrets are revealed leading to some unforeseen twists and just rewards... This was a spectacular ending to this series with unending action sequences, heartfelt moments, and a meaningful conclusion that ties everything together... I also loved that we got to hear Daisy's voice as she navigates the uncertainty of the magical world with her wit, sassiness, intelligence and knack for survival... She is one of my favorite characters from this series, and it seems as though the author is setting readers up for a spin-off series featuring her... That just makes me happy:)
