He is a dangerous animal. And he is on a mission to protect his own.
Despite being a homicide cop with the highest clearance rate in New York, when Detective Gabriel receives a tip off from a convicted criminal about a serial killer, he has trouble convincing the authorities it’s true.
Having his own reasons to believe it, after a bruising encounter with the FBI and his suspension from the force, Chase determines to hunt down the murderer himself. He is looking for a homicidal maniac who is cannibalizing his victims.
Aided by his partner Emma Stein and his trusted lieutenant Bill Lamb, Chase must find out what connects the victims. And what the killer’s motive is.
The murderer is not going to be easy to find. He learned his skills as to how to evade law enforcement from one of the best, the notorious Mr. Bunny.
What he didn’t learn from Mr. Bunny was his appetite for human hearts, a hunger that grows with every crime.
Chase will have to find cracks in his armor. And once he’s found his weakness, drive a thick wedge inside to break the villain and the case open.
INHUMAN is a thrilling game of cat and mouse. Full of suspense and tension, it will have you glued to the page.
Nathan Senthil is the author of THE IMMORALIST, his best-selling debut novel released in March 2020. It is FREE with Kindle Unlimited and available in paperback.
I found this book hard to read and was tempted to not finish it. It is a hard story, very we l told but two factors were disappointing. There is too much profanitywhich detracts from the narrative. The second element seems to be the result of poor editing. I give three examples: one does not tromp across a field, one tramps; cars do not careen, this is something that happens to ships. Cars may career. And last one cannot have a myriad of farm equipment since myriad is an adjective meaning many. You might say myriad pieces of farm equipment. I found thing like these to also make this book hard to read.
This was my first introduction to Mr. Senthil and one I will not soon forget. The descriptions of the suffering and brutality against animals literally made me sick and I sympathized with the serial killer known as Tyrel Boone. He systematically murders more than 30 animal abusers but he is not done with them yet. Although this is a disturbing novel, it is worth the struggle but beware that the brutal descriptions are difficult. That being said, Gabriel Chase, Bill Lamb, and Emma are wonderfully developed and very likable. Enjoy!
The narration of the story is really good, this surely have beaten my experience I had when I read the authors first book.. This one has a little more violence and the twists to the story... And it sure does makes us to think twice before we put our hands on meat after we get to know tyrel.. A must to read crime novel...
Hard-boiled and daring, this serial killer thriller packs a real punch. The baddie is brilliantly cast and the detectives are very likeable. There is an interesting twist and the excitement increases on every page. Full of suspense. Highly recommend.
I’ve not a lot to say about this book except I throughly enjoyed it! It kept me entertained throughout & I can’t wait to read another by this fine author I was looking for blood & guts & that’s exactly what I got by the bucket load
