This audiobook kept very consistent with the others in the series and I enjoyed it very much. By now, if you have read or listened along you know our characters what they’re all about and what their goals are. There shouldn’t be too many surprises here… But yet there still was. I just loved this entire series and how it went from point a to point B wasn’t in a straight line but took many side journeys and each was more interesting than the next. I am pretty certain that our series ends here for our characters, but there is room to grow even for a spinoff series or a continuation. If you followed along you would be happy with this ending but there still are some unanswered questions that I would love to see the author come through and write just maybe one more addition to the series. I have listen to very many audio books by this author and will continue to do so I love his work. The narration in this entire series, including this book was very very well done. Kevin Pierce is one of my favourite voices and will continue to be. He just brings that something extra to give the book even more life than it already breathes. Overall a very very good series that I could not put down. I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affected my opinion of this work. I received the book from Audiobook Boom

I gave this 3 stars because I finished the series and the writing was decent, not a lot of editing issues. I also tend to like this author but, overall, found this to be a disappointing series. For most of this last book, the cyber-apocalypse is not an issue; the biker gang/meth lord threat is the focus. Criminal thugs threatening people trying to survive a disaster...not a a new concept at all. The only plot line addressing the attack that caused the grid disaster was the intrepid FBI investigators trying to find some of the culprits who engineered it through a very long game. While somewhat interesting, there is not much about a broader national response. The end wraps up very fast, almost as an afterthought.

I may have given it a better rating had I listened to this immediately after finishing book 2, but, I struggled at the beginning to remember who people were and what was going on. It would have been nice to get some organic recap of the situation. Otherwise, the events were good enough. The character dynamics a little irksome, but not boring. Was hoping for a little more originality, though. Biker gang comes to take over the spot in a collapse isn't exactly a fresh concept at this point. Still, the writing was good and it's worth reading if you're already into the series. Just remember to do a refresher on where the story left off first.

Get on board for a fast ride!

I read all 3 of the series in about 4 days. Plot was realistic and reflected people at their best and worst. The heroes had their flaws which made them more real. I love apocalyptic stories and especially ones that don't take 9 chapters to introduce one character. (Try A GIFT UPON THE SHORE one day. That's what got me started!) This is similar in the way it grabs your attention right away.
This is a good set to read on a rainy weekend. I'll be reading his books more often.

A decent series...

This could happen and are you prepared? These types of books make us think, or should. This had a good plot and some good characters, but Sophie and Elisha made some horrible decisions as women, and I just wonder why? That's the part I did not like about this series! When the women make stupid decisions or weak ones, it really bothers me. Liam was another that made bad decisions, but his was because he felt he had lost everything, so, I can understand. It is worth reading, but not at the top of the list, if I had not read it yet.

Family in crisis

This series started out drawing you in. Learning the characters. Some i didn't like at first but grew to like. Struggles twists and turns that would turn into more surprising twist and turns. Could not put down had some nights not much sleep. If your drawn to adventure and very strong characters this series for you. You have USA being bomb, family problem and struggling through problems and crisis. Do try. You will get sucked in u too the end.

Good trilogy

Characters that you root for and feel for, starting with the first book. Our world is currently dealing with a pandemic and this cyber apocalypse doesn’t seem so out of the realm of possibility. I cheer the characters working together to fight the scum bags taking advantage of a very bad situation just as our essential workers do in the real world. These books are an escape but also make you think about what you would do to survive an apocalypse.

Great series

This was great series.
My first cyber attack series .
It was fast paced , has great length
(meaning it several hours of read time)
LOVE THAT BY THE WAY .
I also liked that not everyone ended up
Where i expected at the end. Most of the time
I can kinda guess where people and things will
end but not so much in this one. I like that.
Now I'm left wondering about Ryan ???

Great series!! Enjoyed the book, and the series.

The story of Alex and Sofie was tempestuous and challenging, but Jack managed to bring it to an end that was both believable and as pleasimg as the situation allowed. Well done!! Could some things have been sweeter? Yes, but that would have made it less believable. I enjoyed it all, but couldn't help but feel sorry for some of the characters, but that's life.

Up Down and All Around: A Very Satisfying Ending

Man what a series.....kinda makes me hope that if the end of the world as we know it comes to pass that I die quick. But I truly enjoyed this story and suffering (from my comfy reading spot) along with these characters. It was a very exciting and satisfying conclusion, and that's rare for me. You really cannot go wrong with a Jack Hunt book.

As a fairly new reader of Jack Hunt stories, I don't find this particular series as gripping as others. It may be that cyber attacks, it turns out, are not that interesting to me. I didn't feel as connected to the protagonists, but was invested in their survival. The character development is not deep enough for my liking. The antagonists, however, are as dastardly as required, putting the "good guys" through many trials and tribulations. As my son says "it was good, but not the best".

Good story, unusual plot twist

I enjoyed the story and the totally different twist to the nation's attack. One big issue is that at one point Jodi is introduced and her resort is stated as being in the family for generations, but later it states that she and her husband bought it and labored to make it successful. Also the past tense of weave is wove, not weaved. Editing?? Otherwise, please enjoy.

Not clear in how it starts out. Then the question is what is the story line? A couple of characters, then some more characters and I wasn’t getting it. I ‘m not one for murder and mayhem and this already is filled with it. I only got 25% in but I had enough. This is not something I care to read! 1

Finished very well!

What I like about Jack Hunt’s books is that he realizes we readers need a good ending sometimes. There is still loss as there would be in the premise of the story yet it’s well written and he finds ways to save most of the main characters that is plausible. Good read!

Brilliant

Really good book . The character's a likable and strong. A story about different people from different back grounds coming together to form a group fighting to survive in the aftermath of an attack. Plenty of ups and downs, gruesome in places but what a brilliant read. Yes I would recommend this series.

Choices

Their choices would determine all their fates. Some were to continue, others' roads would come to an end. Many things would be destroyed. Some would choose t o rebuild. To stand or fight or choose to escape were other choices if they were lucky enough to be able to choose. An exciting conclusion to this series. High action and drama. Read it and enjoy.

Engaging, heart twisting, insightful

This is the most wonderful series, full of excitement, drama and enthusiasm for the characters to succeed, heart pounding page turning and sadness that made me cry, the whole series is when I plan on reading over and over again, plan on not getting much sleep, as you turn the page to see what’s going to happen next!

Terrific!

Thoroughly enjoyed this series. I'm definitely a Jack Hunt fan, however I kept pushing this series to the back burner because of the word "cyber". Have read too many books that get so tangled in computer language, I might as well be reading a text book. That is not the case in this series. And as always the characters Jack Hunt creates were terrific.

Excellent finish to the series.

It was a nice ending to an overall competent gathering together of an interesting group of survivors. Sometimes barely hanging on, other times seeming to lose - yet narrowly escaping notwithstanding terrible losses to their numbers. I encourage all to read this series.

Coming together

This was a terrifying prospect to think about.
The possibilities of this story coming true is something that could happen in the blink of an eye.
A well thought out and compelling story. I look forward to reading more of your work in the future.
Keep writing.

Enjoyable sequel but totally without context. No link between #2 and #3 that I could find. Where did Alex and Sophie come from? Lots of action and graphic violence (nothing wrong with that) due to a deranged man named Jethro. Will good overcome evil? Read it and find out.

A solid read

I have enjoyed this series. In a genre that is crowded, the difference is the author and Hunt created many interesting and believable characters and put them in compelling situations. Nicely done.

"Thriller"? Definitely!

The Apocalypse continues to bring conflicts of coping with murder and self defense, betrayal and loyalty, damaged relationships, and staying true to oneself. You won't know until the end who is left to rebuild society.

Actions have consequences

Psychopathic killers, biker gangs, cyber intrigue, honor, family and redemption. Picked up this book and read it all the way through. An enjoyable read. Best of the three.

Sophie , Ryan, FBI case closed? Alex, Liam, Lincoln, Gus, Jodi, motorcycle gang allowing Jethro in the center. Lots of action all the way around. Definitely not a disappointment. Great job. Thank you.

Really enjoyed the relationships established in this book. I am happy that you ended it where you did leaving it hopeful and realistic. It was great action and the pace was perfect. It pays to invest in plotting and keep things coherent.
