I read in English but this review is Bahasa Indonesia

It's not obvious but there are connections between a creative person's character traits, life experiences, worldview, and the work that they produce.

Aku mengenal Stephanie ketika sama-sama menjadi relawan di Ubud Writers and Readers Festival 2019 kemarin.

Berisi 22 pekerja seni.

"We have accepted that we will never be rich as designers and we have made our peace with it. Money is not the measure of happiness." -Rex Advincula and Joyce Tai

"Graphic design is about communication, and communication is two ways. It is a job, a service. We do things to help people so they communicate better; use products easier to save time. You can not be selfish when you design. Once you understand that designed is not about yourself, you will stop serving your ego." -Tnop Wangsillapakun

A great book and a fantastic initiative! The range of Southeast Asian creatives featured is impressive, though a few interviews felt somewhat dry. I would have liked a bit more depth about what truly drives them at the core of their work (some were more focused on talking about the financial sustainability of their business). Still, a very worthwhile and inspiring read.

Essential reading for creative south east asians.

It's also inspiring that this book exists - relatively straightforward to write a book like this but so authentic and such a contribution
