This year’s edition of the Eckerd Review is unique for a number of reasons. Not only does it feature 21 skilled writers and 14 talented artists, but it reflects the efforts of 15 editors and one fearless faculty advisor, Professor Gloria Muñoz. This year, 7 of editors were also interns, researching and writing about the field of literary publishing for an entire school year in the Directed Study Internship Course. We welcomed 10 new editors and two new submission categories in this issue. Although the year was full of exciting changes, our staff rose to the challenge and collaborated to make something wonderful. We invite you to count the ways this year’s issue delights and surprises you with the mysticism, empowerment, and vulnerability within the following pages.
