I’m just going to say it, happily ever after is BS. The only side of love I’ve seen is dark, toxic and hateful, Until I met Clay. I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with him, And I sure as hell wasn’t supposed to end up pregnant with his baby.
I moved to Colorado for a fresh start, But the truth is, I was running from my past My only priority was keeping my five-year-old son safe, And just when I think I’ve escaped, my demons come back to haunt me.
Let me be clear, I’m not a damsel in distress, And I didn’t need a savior. But the way Clay made me feel…love, protected, desired—things I never thought I’d feel again, I can’t help but wonder if things are moving too fast.
I’m falling and falling hard, But the truth is I’m terrified. Can I allow myself to truly trust him? Do I even deserve a second chance at happily ever after?
For once in my life, I feel the kind of love that songs are written about, The kind that keeps you up all night with giddiness, But can it survive the secret I’m carrying? Or is my ugly past about to rear its head and destroy everything?

Alexis Winter has written a 5-star book. Autumn has saved what little money she could without her husband Glenn knowing she was doing it. Her father passed away and left her some money and she knew it was time to leave. She was tired of the abuse from Glenn when he had been drinking. One morning Autumn faked being sick and after Glenn had left for work, she packed her van, and she and her son Bryce left. She had taken the money from her father and bought an old farmhouse in Colorado that she was going to turn into a B&B. She talked to Clay Slade about doing the work. Clay and Jerry went to check things out at the farmhouse and see all that needs to be done before the meeting with Autumn the next day. Autumn rolls into town a day ahead of schedule and instead of going to check into the motel, she goes to the farmhouse to show Bryce their new home. The meeting with Clay did not go the way she wanted it to go. They are on the same page as far as the farmhouse until she tells him that she wants to work on some of the renovations and Clay is not happy to hear this news. He tells her that his insurance would not cover her if she got hurt, she tells him that her homeowner's insurance would. They walk through the rest of the house and they plan what will be done first. She and Bryce leave to go and get paint samples at the hardware store and to check on daycare for Bryce. She enrolls Bryce in the daycare so that she can work with Clay on the farmhouse. After the first meeting, things heat up between Autumn and Clay but neither one wants a relationship. Clay hooks up with Tessa when he needs to and he is fine with that. Tessa doesn't even let her son know she sees Clay. One day after Autumn picks up Bryce and they are on the way to the motel,. she sees Clay and he is being hugged by a woman and she remembers where she saw the woman, She was the waitress that she and Bryce had at the dinner. No wonder the waitress was giving her dirty looks whenever she goes to the dinner. When she wants to talk to Clay about what was going on between them, she tells him to forget the Kiss they have shared and told him that she would not come between him and his girlfriend. He tells her that he does not have a girlfriend and she tells him that she saw him. He tells her that it was nothing and that the woman and he were just friends. After this things change between them. They end up sleeping together. After sleeping together the first time, Clay asks her to go out with him but she said no. He asks "when then?" She said that they could go out during the day when Bryce was in daycare. Clay said let's go and she told him tomorrow. After that, they got together whenever they could. Things go good for them. Autumn gets a not from Glenn telling her that he is coming for his son. This upsets her and she decides she is not going to run anymore. She asks the daycare if she was the only one who would be able to pick Bryce up and she was told yes without a letter telling them that this person could pick him up. Things with the farmhouse go well and after Clay hears about the note from Glenn he said that he was going to put in a security system put in. Glenn makes his move and brakes into the house and while inside Clay shows up. Glenn gets Autumn out to the van when Clay leaves and she knows that she has to make a move to get away from him. Autumn gets away from Glenn but she is hurt and as Clay is driving back to the farmhouse he sees her in the road. Autumn is taken to the hospital and Clay tells her that he is going to go get Bryce and take him to his brother's house. Clay is attacked by Glenn when he gets back to the farmhouse and gets close to the barn. It takes his brother to get him off of Glenn. Can Autumn feel safe now that Glenn is gone to jail? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Autumn Delaney is a woman who is smart enough to realize that she made a mistake when she entrusted her heart and her happiness to Glenn, the man whom she calls husband. During their 5-year-marriage, Autumn had learned to be watchful of Glenn’s drinking, his possessiveness, and his increasing control of her life—her friends, her job choice, even the decorations for the baby’s room. It took him 5 years before he raised his hand to her in anger, breaking her nose and blackening her eyes. But, she will not risk her 4 year-old, Bryce to Glenn’s growing distemper and aggression.
So, she plots and plans, saving a little each month into a secret bank account, and when she learns that her father has died and left her money, she tells no one of her inheritance, but again has the money deposited in her personal secret account. She bides her time, securing the help of a neighbor and a divorce lawyer to formulate a get-away plan with a predetermined landing spot across the country in Colorado where she has purchased, sight-unseen, a farmhouse to convert into a B & B. And, on the appointed day, without warning, she packs and leaves, having her husband served with divorce papers.
Now, she lives in Colorado in two connecting rooms of the Glendale Motel, which she fills with Bryce’s toys and favorite pillows to create a safe place of transition for her son and herself. She registers Bryce in the local daycare which has enrolled many of his future kindergarten classmates while she works on renovating the farmhouse on Madison Lane into a home and business—a B&B—hiring Clay Slade and his work crew to manage and execute the updating and renovation.
Clay Slade, a lanky, muscular man with dirty blonde hair, and his 4 brothers are generational members of the community, owning and operating a brewery, and more recently, a distillery on the same land where their grandfather had settled his family. While all brothers benefit from the family business, Clay and the other brothers leave the day-to-day decisions of the company to the oldest brother Drake. The five brothers have learned to trust each other, but to give each other space and grace since the death of their mother while they were still children, and the benevolent neglect of their father who never recovered from her death and used a string of nannies to care for his boys. Now as adults, the brothers still work to connect and deal with the past decisions of their grieving father.
When Clay meets the beautiful mom, Autumn, with her green eyes and dark wavy hair, and hears of her plans for the old farmhouse, he appreciates her desire to restore the beauty of the old place and is impressed with her desire to take a hands-on approach to the renovation. And while his interest in this mom and son team grows, he becomes aware of the danger that has apparently followed them in their flight to a new beginning—a danger that he will confront, not just to protect Autumn and Bryce, but to also claim and protect his own unborn child.
Baby Secret continues the story of the Slade Brothers series. This novel continues to weave a strong storyline with interesting characters and electrifying emotional connections. This third novel continues to follow the romantic developments of a family with secrets and unresolved heartache that needs to be addressed to bring happiness and healing to the other members of the family. Each novel can be read independently, but the Slades are so engaging that you will want to know each member and his story.

ARC was given by Author through Booksprout . My review is given completely voluntarily.
Baby Secret is the 3rd book in the Slade Brothers series by Alexis Winter.
I gave this book 5 stars.
This book was another example of how fantastic this Author is! She has this capacity of bringing us into her world and gutting us from the inside out, we feel each heartbreak of the characters and the fears they go through. I loved this book just like I've enjoyed all the books in this series. With each book in the series there's a different topic she brings to light, on this case it's domestic abuse / violence.....so this one could have sensitive triggers for someone readers. Clay Slade owns his construction company, and we was contracted to fix up this old house that the buyer wanted to turn into a B&B. Autumn is that buyer, finally able to fli in secret from her abusive husband, she's filed for divorce and left his a$$ . She has an adorable little boy called Bryce and together they making a new life in Colorado in her new home. She's contracted Clay to help her bring this old ranch to life. Once they meet the connection is something neither was expecting nor wanting. She's running from her ex husband, and doesn't want any man in her life right now, and Clay just wants no relationships just plain rolling in the haystack when he needs it. Things change very quickly and they just can't fight it anymore. Her retelling of her experiences in life, what she endured during her marriage was just heartbreaking knife through the heart....WTF goodness I cryed my eyes out. The feeling of living in fear of that monster possibly one day finding them, WOWZA that was intense! This book is emotional, so much angst, danger, suspenseful, but on the flip side it's also full of steamy sex, love, learning to trust again, family embrace, new life, freedom at last. We get to revisit with the Slade gang which keeps getting bigger.....I freaking love them!!!! This does have a HEA , no cliffhanger. Now we wait for Brother #4 Wyatt.....can't wait ❤
It’s written like a novella. So much telling and no showing. The characters are constantly flip flopping back and forth. One second he’s saying he doesn’t want a relationship, then he does, then he’s like well I may as well, then he’s mad that she doesn’t want one. Come the fuck on. It was all manufactured drama and because of the way it’s written we don’t actually see any development in between the flip flopping.
ARC review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a beautiful 10 star story of love and family . This book is so interesting .Clay and Autumn the main characters here in the third book of the Slade brothers are wonderful. It's hot, steamy, sexy and easy to read. I was captivated from beginning to the end . I received a free copy for my honest opinion
This book is fantastic and I loved it! The story of Clay and Autumn is filled with all the things that make a book worth reading - great characters, lots of love, steam and fun and some danger thrown in for good measure. Autumn arrives in town after running with her son, Bryce, from her abusive husband Glenn. She has come to Colorado to open a bed and breakfast, using money she received after her father's death. Clay is the builder who is going to help her fix up the house. At first, he is determined to keep his distance, despite how she makes him feel. Autumn also wants to stay away as she isn't ready for a relationship and Glenn refuses to sign the divorce papers. Things between Autumn and Clay heat up and the fear kicks in when Autumn starts receiving threats from Glenn. Then, she tries to call her neighbor and her lawyer, both of them helping her to escape, and find that she can't reach either. The danger hits it's peak when Glenn catches up to Autumn soon after she and Clay express their feelings and decide they want to be a family. In the end, Glenn is caught, Autumn and Clay are free from him and are free to live their happily ever after, especially after the birth of their son, Logan.

Clay Slade is not looking for love or the life his two brothers now have with the women who have claimed their hearts. He has a casual sexual relationship with a woman in town with the understanding of no strings or commitments. He likes his solitary life style, running his construction company and living alone in his off-the-grid cabin on the top of a mountain. Little does he know that the arrival of his latest client and her son will change his mind about love and commitment. Autumn is definitely not looking for either of those things. She and her son are fleeing her abusive husband. She is intent on building a new life in Montana, far away from his abuse and control. She has hired Clay to do the renovations on an old farm house she wants to turn into a B&B. The sparks of attraction don’t take long to smoulder between them, but both try hard to resist the pull. A kiss, then a hasty retreat, the strained distance, then poof....the sparks explode and they give in to their desires. Handling their growing connection is difficult for them both, but especially for Autumn as she realizes her husband has found her and is intent on reclamation or revenge.
This book is fast-paced, thoroughly engaging and offers romance with a dash of intrigue and suspense. It was easy to get invested in Clay and Autumn’s story, to want them to get their happily ever after, whatever it may look like. This book is a great addition to the Slade Brothers series. I can’t wait to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Just a quick disclaimer; I'm not a fan of instalove. But because I have read a few that were done exceptionally well, I tried to overlook that detail and give this book a fair chance. However, the author also had our main characters declaring traits or behaviors about the other that had never been established. At 31%, the author has our H thinking, "I wish I knew what she was running from, why she keeps herself so guarded," when she hadn't given any indication of either trait. In fact, she was very friendly, open, and accommodating when they met. At no point does she exhibit either behavior throughout the book. She is very open and communicative, even when she discovered she was pregnant and was worried his reaction to the news would be less than favorable. She opened up and told him immediately after returning from the doctors office having confirmed she was, indeed, pregnant.
Also, this story is all tell with no show at all. Because of that, I felt no emotion for these characters or their plight.
Finally, what happened to her poor lawyer, Lidia? One minute, she is an established attorney with her own practice, and the next, she has closed up shop, disconnected her phone number, and is missing. Even after our h finds out her ex killed their elderly neighbor, she doesn't bother reporting her missing lawyer, she just thinks "I hope that wherever she is out there, she's happy and can firgive me.(for whatever her ex did to her)". WTH?
Overall, this just isn't a book or writing style I particularly enjoyed. I won't be reading more in this series.
Autumn and her son Bryce are on the run from her abusive husband. She moved to Colorado to get away from him. She bought an old farmhouse to convert into a bed and breakfast. She hires Clay Slade and his construction company to do the work. Clay has never wanted to settle down, but the first day, he's attracted to. He can't explain his feelings. She's attracted to him, but she knows she can't do anything until she's divorced. Thinks seem to work out between them, but she is always looking over her shoulder. She knows her ex won't leave her alone. Clay doesn't know how he has lived alone before he met Autumn. He wants her in his life. She wants him to. They have been together and she just found out that she is pregnant. Her ex is in town and has been sending notes. He wants his son back. He doesn't care about Autumn's well-being. He only wants Bryce, but he is unhinged. He kidnapped her and threatened to kill her if she made any sound to let Clay know she's in the barn. He forces her into her van. She grabs the wheel, and they get in an accident. She runs away from him. Clay finds her on the side of the road and takes her to the hospital. When he gets back to the house, the ex is there. He beats him up. If it wasn't for Colton and Drake, he would have killed him. The police arrested the ex, and Clay goes to the hospital to be with her. Great story of two people that had no intentions of falling in love. Another great story by Alexis Winter.
I received this ebook ARC from the author on the condition that I write an honest review. I’ve read several books by Ms Winter, and I’ve loved everyone of them. They always have an unexpected romance between a hard working, strong man, and a strong-willed female. There is always drama, and suspense, along with the aforementioned romance, attraction, and heat. The main male character is Clay, a lonely young man living in the mountains, he works updating old homes. The main female character is Autumn, a young single parent running, with her 5 year old son, from an abusive husband. Autumn and her son have purchased an old house and plan to build a B & B, this is where Clay comes in to help update the house. There is immediate attraction between Clay and Autumn, but they decide to take things slowly. Eventually they accept that they love each other and conditions occur that stabilizes their relationship. The crazed ex-husband shows up to try and take Autumn and Bryce back with him. Several events occur and eventually the ex is arrested and the couple are finally able to obtain their much deserved HEA. I will read any book by Ms Winter and always recommend her books.

We meet Autumn as she and her son, Bryce are running away from her abusive husband. She escapes to Colorado, purchasing a home to turn into a bed & breakfast. Cody is the man whose company is going to do the renovations. He's gorgeous and single, never planning on marriage and kids. He has his casual flings and it's enough for him. Imagine Cody's surprise when he meets Autumn and finds himself pulled to her, in a way he's never felt before. She feels it too, but her plans do not include falling in love. Her plans are to keep her son and herself safe and start a new life without her abusive husband. But we all know what happens to the best laid plans... Cody knows she's running from something, but he doesn't know what. Can she trust him enough to share her awful past? Will he still want her? What happens if her abusive husband isn't ready to let go? I enjoyed this book so much!! It's part of a series, each book telling the love story of one of the brothers, It can also be read as a stand alone. I will absolutely continue reading her books!!
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Baby Secret KU 230 pgs *** 6/4/20 Clay & Autumn & Bryce 3 stars. This was a good book but just didn’t quite grab me like the previous 2 did. I think I expected more conflict from the exes. I also don’t understand why there is no mention of anyone but Drake having billions when all the brothers own the same amount of the company. The character building was good and I did connect with both Clay and Autumn but the book felt really rushed all the way through. This was the first book in the series to have filler pages that I skimmed over. The sex just seemed ok to me, like there needed to be a little more chemistry. The insta love is getting a little too much in the series but that goes with the book being short. I will read the next in the series because I do enjoy the books even though I can read them in a few hours. I enjoy books that will last a day or so and keep me wanting more. I didn’t get that with this one, I was fine with it ending.
Another Slade Brother gets Bitten by the Love Bug!
Autumn is in an abusive marriage & escapes with their 5-yr son. She bought an old house & wants to renovate it into an B&B. Clay Slade is hired by Autumn to work on the house. As she's still married, she doesn't want to get involved with anyone, bringing any people into her problems. She tries to keep Clay at arm's length, at a professional working relationship but with Autumn working side-by-side with Clay in closer quarters, their bond & connection towards each other is getting stronger. Her abusive husband has found her & vows to get both his son & her back home. The suspense with how things develop, snowballs & intensifies right from the first page. For me, this has been the best novel I've read by Alexis Winter. The 1st two of this series, are really good too! This novel involves the Slade family members & Autumn gets the warm feelings of what 'family' is really all about. Excellent story-line & characters!

Alexis Winter has a gift for creating a story so full of emotion and is able to draw readers into the story so much so the characters and their situations are brought to life for readers. Another fantastic book that will take readers on an emotional journey of finding love and teaching us that opening our hearts to the unknown is more oft than not well worth it. Autumn a single mom who has decided to move her and her young son Bryce to Colorado is looking for a new start away from their painful and dangerous past. Clay is a home contractor who lives in the Colorado mountains and is hired to remodel an old farmhouse for use as a B&B. Baby Secret is a captivating romantic suspense book filled with heartache, passion, romance, a secret and unexpected pregnancy, danger, domestic abuse, family, and love. Readers will love this new book in the Slade Brothers series. I can't wait for the release of Wyatt's story.

Your past can be a scary thing, no matter if it was just a few weeks ago or decades. If you don't face it you will always be running away from it.
Clay Slade live alone in the mountains. He never sees himself getting married much less having kids. The pain of seeing the loss of his mother has fractured his view of love. Autumn is running away from her abusive husband. Looking to make a change she buys a fixer upper in hope of turning it into a B&B. From their first meeting Clay and Autumn's chemistry is undeniable, but they both struggle with the possibilities.

This was another great addition to this series about the Slade brothers and this time we have Clay's story Like the previous books int his series it draws you in and has youy thoroughly engaged with the charcaters
Autumn is on the run with her son Bryce from her abusive partner Glenn her father has died leaving her a little money which has given her the finances she needs to escape So she has headed to Colorado and she has bought an old farmhouse to hide in She has spoken to Clay Slade to do the work for her. Clay is at the farmhouse checking it over when his client arrives a day early and they do not hit it off at all she wants to help with the work and he says no. Soon they are working together and things are starting to heat up between them then she thinks that Clay has a girlfriend and closes down on him but this changes when Glenn come for his son Can Clay keep them both safe and can they have a future together You will have to read to see
I so enjoyed this story I was captivated from the very beginning and just had to keep reading this lovely emotional story to the end. The characters were so well-drawn, they felt real and the emotions they express made it easy to believe in their relationships. Autumn and her son, Bryce ran away from her abusive husband, but she had to find a way to support them so she used some money she had inherited to purchase a farmhouse to turn into a B&B.
She arranged for Clay to work on the farmhouse but when he realised the extent of her problems he took it upon himself to protect both Autumn and Bryce from any further abuse by her husband. His actions towards Autumn and Bryce were so sweet. I loved watching their relationship develop.
The story is an emotional one, it's intense at times and has lots of drama, I found myself on the edge of my seat waiting to see how things would play out.
This book was magnificent! Alexis Winter is a writing genius! I absolutely fell in love with Clay Slade and Autumn Delaney. Clay is one of the five Slade brothers. Clay doesn't really want for anything. He doesn't want the family life and is perfect content having a no-strings attached fling with the town waitress. He lives a quiet life off the grid atop a mountain. Autumn and her five year son, Bryce are running from her abusive soon to be ex-husband in Ohio to a quiet town in Colorado. Clay is actually going to do the renovations for the two story old farmhouse she purchased to be a bed. When Clay and Autumn meet in person, sparks fly between them. There is definitely a chemistry between the two. When they give in to the chemistry, they devoir each other. But they have so much stacked up against them. What happens when Autumn's ex comes and hunts down her and Bryce? Are Clay and Autumn even ready for a relationship? This book is a must read and I highly recommend!
Another great story in the Slade brother series that I couldn't put down. When Autumn left her abusive husband Glenn taking her son Bryce to start a new life for the both of them running a B&B she's bought. What she didn't expect was falling love at first sight with Clay the hot builder renovating the B&B for her. No matter how much they tried to stay away from each other the pull was always there but her husband who refused to give her a divorce was out to make sure he got his son back & make her life hell again what he didn't plan on was Clay the man who promised to protect his family which was Autumn, Bryce & their unborn baby. They had a lot of drama & pain to overcome before they had a chance of having their happy ever after. I loved these books & the way the characters from the other were also part of this aswell.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely loved Clay and Autumn’s story. I was hooked right from the beginning and was unable to put it down once I started. I needed to know what happened. Autumn is in hiding with her son, who is just a ball of cuteness. She buys a rundown farmhouse and wants to make it a B&B. She has hired Clay to fix it up. Clay is hoping she won’t want to gut this house and give it all new everything. Autumn is unlike any woman he’s met and he has never had an instant connection with another person. These two are not looking for a relationship and try to keep everything professional. Autumn wants to keep things low profile and doesn’t want to drag Clay into her mess. Alexis did such a great job and gives you the feels and takes you on a ride with a little suspense, friendship, some twists and love. I adored this story and the characters. Another fantastic read for this series. I can’t wait for the next one.
Really enjoying this series! The Slade brothers are quite something...all hot AF and broody! This is Clay’s story. Clay is somewhat of a recluse, although he owns a construction company, he prefers the quiet solitude of life on the mountain and off the grid. He enjoys a friends with benefits relationship with a waitress at the diner and likes how uncomplicated things are...especially since he never intends to marry. Then single mom, Autumn, and her adorable 5yo son roll into town. Clay has been hired to renovate an old farmhouse into a B&B for Autumn. The chemistry is palpable but she is running from an abusive relationship, surely any kind of relationship is out of the question. Love life in this small town and the Slade brothers and SO! Story is well written and characters are so well portrayed that you feel as if you know them. Looking forward to the next book!
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
I'm seriously loving the Slade Brothers series! I really liked Autumn in this book. She is strong, brave, and determined. I can't imagine the last 5 years she's had to endure, but for her to finally say enough and do something to leave that toxic environment.
Autumn and Clay's relationship is interesting. Autumn definitely tried to stop things from happening between them, but she caved in. Things heated between them too fast, I thought, and I'm surprised Autumn trusted a person that much, that fast.
I loved Bryce. He was much wiser than 5 years old and he was so observant. I can't wait to see what trouble he gets into!
I'm really glad I got a chance to read this eARC novel and I cannot wait for more!
I really liked reading Baby Secret by Alexis Winter. It is the 3rd book in the Slade Brothers. This one is about Clay and Autumn. Autumn is on the run from her abusive husband. Her and Bryce her son have moved to Colorado. She is in the process of having a bed and breakfast built by Clay. I loved these characters together. They really fought their attraction for each other. Autumn is a very strong character who likes to be involved in things with the house. She is a survivor. Clay doesn't want to settle down and he has a hard time when Autumn is around. I liked that the book tied in from the previous books some of the characters and what was going on in their lives. It is a steamy romance mixed with some drama. It was such a great read!!

Baby Secret is book 3 in Alexis Winter's Slade Brother series. You will gain some back story by reading the first three as you will already be introduced to Clay Slade but I feel it could also still be enjoyed as a standalone.
Autumn is in an abusive marriage. She gathers her courage and leaves her divorce papers running away with her 5 year old son Bryce. She heads to Montana to start over. She's opening a bed & breakfast and wants nothing more than to keep her son safe and make a better life for them. Her perspective changes a bit when she meets Clay and they soon find their attraction isn't something to be ignored. Just when things seem to be sailing along Autumn's ex finds her and he's not giving up.
This story is fast paced and completely engaging.

This family saga continues as Clay finds his home with Autumn and Bryce,. Autumn is on the run. Trying to put as much distance as she can between her and her abusive husband. Giving up everything that is tied to Ohio, she starts over in Colorado. There she meets Clay. Clay has the devil may care attitude where he’s happy being single, doing what and who he wants with no strings attached. Little does he know that life is about to change in a major way. When Autumn let’s her walls down and let’s him in the ride begins. I must say Glen went through a lot to get back his family but met his match when he encounter Clay. This book has drama, stalking, abuse, a beat down, a wedding, a baby and most of all Love.

What an amazing read this was. I really enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting. I am a sucker for romance and happily ever afters especially when someone has been put through hell and they finally get their happy ending like they deserve and that's what happens with Autumn and get son Bryce.
On the run from her violent ex husband the last thing Autumn expects is to fall in love and she does , hard. Clay is a good hard working man . Living off the grid he's happy with how his life is going he doesn't want love, marriage or kids. Nope not in his future. But all that changes when he meets Autumn and Bryce everything he thought he wanted went flying out the window . But what happens when Autumn's past catches up with her ? You'll have to read the book to find out. Looking forward to reading more in this series. I really enjoyed it.
Third book in the series and this is my favorite so far. Autumn runs with her son to get away from her husband Glenn and his abusive actions. Baby Secret. This book was great! I loved this book! It captivated me. The characters had me believing their relationships. Autumn ran away from her abusive husband. She bought a farmhouse she was going to turn into a B&B. Clay accepted to do the work to fix the house up. Clay was a dream come true. When he discovered the mess Autumn was in, he stepped in and decided to protect Autumn and her son from her abusive husband. The drama in the story was exciting and intense. It had me on the edge of my seat. I am enjoying this series! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book.
