What if...The Sarnonn Leader, Haan, battles as his community at Kayerm splits over his decision to open Kthama Minor, sealed by the ancients thousands of years ago--the birthplace of Wrak-Wavara, the Age of Darkness.
Meanwhile, at Kthama itself, the promise of new life brings joy to the People, but the Healer's heart is burdened by a premonition of tragedy.
The growing tension between Khon'Tor and his son finally reaches a breaking point. Denied his heritage as heir to the leadership of the People of the High Rocks, Akar'Tor devises a plan to exact a terrible price for his father's refusal to give him what he wants.
Having returned to Shadow Ridge to resume his life there, Oh'Dar comes close to revealing his mysterious past. And while he finally realizes where his heart truly lies, has he lost his chance for happiness in his delay?
Heartbreak, conflict, and joy all vie for the reader's attention in The Edge of The Age.
When Leigh Roberts is not caught up in the fantasy world of Etera with Adia, Khon'tor, Acaraho, Oh'Dar, and Nadiwani, she is enjoying the beauty of the rural area in which she lives.
An avid reader since early childhood, she grew up on superhero comics, science fiction stories, and television shows like The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, and Star Trek.
Star Trek had a huge influence on her thinking and taught her the infinite possibilities of imagination--and how to split infinitives. Spoiler alert: you may find a Klingon word or phrase dropped in here or there.
She loves being an author, and her heart's desire is to be writing for a long, long time to come.
This is one of the best series I have ever read in my 40+ years of reading. Everything is here, suspense, mystery, fantasy, romance, family, coming of age, surprise, shock and awe. I found myself invested in the lives of the characters, rooting for some, loving some, hating others, definitely a roller coaster of emotions. I cried with them, laughed, celebrated and grieved. I am anxiously awaiting the continuation of this series. I am a lover of fantasy/sci-fi. This is a unique take in this genre. The character development is rich, enough detail provided about the physical surroundings that I could picture it in my head without needing to read pages upon pages describing the scenery. Highly recommend!
This one was intense. Not only did several of the sub-storylines get resolved in this book but it was a heart wrenching emotional experience.
Characters that I did not think that I would even shed a tear for, got me near the end. Yes, I cried and it took me a few minutes before I could carryon and finish the book. It was that good.
The resolutions for those storylines were beautiful and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Roberts continues to maintain my interest in this series. This is a hard feat to accomplish when we are so spoiled for choice in reading material these days. Roberts has a knack for adding depth to the story while also addressing plot lines that began in book 1. Her world building is incredible and her characters relatable. I am truly invested in what will happen to them and very intrigued in where this story is heading.
The characters are so well developed I feel a connection to each of them. Just as in real life, there are stories within stories. I wait with bated breath to read the conclusion of each story. As a bonus, again just as in real life, the stories do not conclude. They lead to more stories with intricate plots and twists. Yet the story lines are easy to follow and leave the reader wanting more. I am eager to continue reading this captivating series!
I am an avid reader, and I must say this is one of the best series I have read in many many years. I am so thankful I found it and I’m going to be so sorry when it’s over I’m now on to book 8 what will be I guess 13. Please write fast I hate waiting. I have given this series of five. It is the first I’ve ever given a 5 to to a book. Please continue to write as I will continue to follow you.
This was a pivotal book in the series as sides are chosen and preparations are made for the great opening of the sealed up cave of secrets. Yet, there is still plenty of action and drama woven throughout. I can’t help but root for my favorite characters and I can’t wait for the big reveal! This is a great story!
Leigh Roberts your imagination and story of these people has captured my life!! I hope someday it will come to life as a tv series! Seriously! I always, eagerly await the next book. There is so much more to know. And you tell it so well. Thank you. 💗
Book seven has !ot's of things going on. Akar'Tor returns to Kthama plotting to take his father's place as leader. Oh'Dar returns to help with Tehya's coming offspring. And Civil war is threatening to break out at Kayern between Haan's followers and those opposed to him.
I know I will be very sad when the time comes to leave these wonderful amazing characters. Personally, I think this author is one inspired writer! Now on to the next book. Can't wait to find out what happens next !!!
When I first picked up this series I did not think it was something that I would enjoy. I am totally hooked. A Sasquatch family? Who would have thought I would be reading such a thing? But I am truly hooked.
Have finished the entire series. 11 books. Waiting on the 2nd series which I understand will introduce us to go the previous members of the Mothoc (sic) who started it all.
Now, at book seven, I find I do not want to read anything else but this series. I am vested in these characters and their world. Leigh Roberts, I am a fan.
