As usual read in one sitting! The plot is developing nicely now, just like the main story line of Magus Bride you can’t help but love the characters! Cannot wait for volume 3! You don’t need to have read all the Magus Bride books in order to understand this book, you just need to have read the volume before. Highly recommend 4.8/5

It has more action, but the relationship between Giselle and Ao is still weird... and the EX is coming for her? I mean, so much for breaking stereotypes.

Don’t trust adults in this intriguing addition to the Ancient Magus’ Bride series. In this volume, Ao uncovers intrigue and mystery, tightly kept secrets and old flames. There’s no turning back for him with the knowledge acquired in yet another enthralling addition in Wizard’s Blue.

I don’t have a whole lot to say on this volume. It was very easy and fast to get through— it didn’t even feel like I was reading. I felt utterly swept off my feet, craving the next page until there were no more to turn. However, to be honest, the thing that surprised me the most in this volume is that I’m not bothered by the budding romance between Ao and Giselle.
However, this volume does leave me with one question. Did Giselle used to be human too, long, long ago? She’s been afflicted by a dragon’s curse she’s managed to keep at bay all this time but was she once just as human as Ao? I hope that this burning question will eventually be addressed.

I will say that volume #2 hits just as good if not a little better than volume #1. The volume starts in a pretty cool way, and I do like the way it progresses. This book was a 3.5 as I felt it did not reach a 4, but to leave it as a plan 3 seems to not appreciate a lot of the nuances of this book. I love the characters, and the new life AO has as Giselle’s groom. The new characters brought in bring flavor to the story…but I don’t yet know how much I care for them yet…. they are interesting, but they have not tugged at my heart strings. The story by Makoto Sanda is indeed good and the art by Isuo Tsukumo is excellent.

'Wizard's Blue' gives us a bit more plot in vol 2; we get some interesting action, learn a bit more about the politics of the mages underneath Paris, and also discover the secret of why Giselle wants a groom who will kill her. I almost wish this would go a bit slower so the characters had a bit more space to grow on me (and each other), and the revelations more time to build, but I'll still be along to see what happens next. :)

More of a 3.5 star rating;
This volume was a bit more confusing to me but that doesn’t mean it was any less as good as the first volume. I’m still very excited about the overall story with Giselle’s former groom being introduced in a mysterious way and causing some issues. We also got to see Ao using his skills in surprising and very helpful ways, as well as, some cute moments between Ao and Giselle.

Learning Pains

On the job Giselle and Ao's investigation has lead to some trouble and a character from Giselle's past as we see more about Ao's incredible skills at art as well as magic, the truth of how Giselle became who she is, Ao's true purpose revealed to him, and a potential adversary that could cause trouble for our main duo. Looking forward to seeing what happens next. :)

I love Ao and Giselle, and their relationship is really cute. Also, Ao's gift is fascinating to watch as he explores it. I can't wait to see what the other colors can do! Also, Giselle's curse is gonna be interesting!

Giselle escapes from Albert, but Yuyi goes with him. Ao and Giselle are taken into custody by the Quatre Saisons.

Think I liked this volume less than the previous, but also it’s been so long since I read the first one I can hardly remember it. 😅

The art style is just as beautiful and the characters are so unique and interesting. The story is a bit confusing for me, but I'm sure I will understand as I keep reading.
