They are dating finallyyy!
Did you guys realize that Uenoyama and Sato started going out during summer season.
Yuki and Sato broke up during winter.
I wonder what happened in fall. Was it Akihiko and Ugestu breakup?

07.2021: Band 5 bildet einen schönen Abschluss für so einige Dinge, die in Band 4 geschehen sind. Es hat mich gefreut, dass Aki und Haruki zueinander gefunden haben. Aki hat sich zunächst auf sich konzentriert, um wieder mit sich selbst ins Reine zu kommen. So konnte er eine Grundlage schaffen, auf der Aki und Haruki sich wieder annähern können, was ich sehr vernünftig fand. Wichtig und schön fand ich auch, dass Aki Rücksicht auf Haruki genommen hat und ihn vorher gefragt hat, ob er ihn berühren darf. Gerade vor dem Hintergrund, was in Band 4 passiert ist, ist das ein gutes Signal an Haruki gewesen und schafft eine gute Basis für ihre Beziehung.
Ich bin ein bisschen traurig wegen Ugetsu, ich hoffe, er findet eine neue Liebe und wird in Zukunft glücklich sein.

07.2021: Volume 5 is a nice conclusion to some of the things that happened in volume 4. I was glad that Aki and Haruki were able to reconnect. Aki focused on himself first, to sort himself out. This allowed him to create the groundwork for Aki and Haruki to get closer again, which I thought was very sensible. I also think it was important and nice that Aki showed consideration for Haruki and asked him beforehand if he could touch him - especially in the light of what happened in volume 4, this was a good signal to Haruki and creates a good basis for their future relationship.
I feel a bit sad for Ugetsu, I hope he will find a new love and be happy in the future.
08.2019: I'm a bit conflicted about the outcome of the Haruki and Akihiko relationship but it was better resolved than in many other BL manga where consent issures were involved in the past. While I was a huge fan of Haruki and Akihiko becoming an item before volume 4, their relationship will most likely always be somewhat tainted for me after volume 4 and 5. But we'll see.

Los momentos que me dieron de Ritsuka y Mafuyu en este tomo son oro y planeo conservarlos por siempre en mi corazón
(EN ESPECIAL LA ESCENA EN LA HABITACIÓN DE RITSUKA OMG MIS BEBÉS HERMOSOS)
Estoy orgullosa de lo mucho que ambos han logrado, tanto individualmente, crecer como pareja, como parte de la banda y amo mucho el apoyo que Uenoyama le brinda a Sato para que continúe escribiendo, que confíe en sí mismo ya que él confía en todo lo que Mafuyu puede lograr. La evolución de Sato se puede notar, aunque siga siendo callado y tranquilo, como escritor y compositor ha crecido mucho, además de que está empezando a entender la música y de verdad, no puedo dejar de repetir lo mucho que me enorgullece esto. De verdad que estos dos bebés me tienen muy enamorada y los quiero proteger contra todo mal.

Sato lo molesta mucho pero me parece tan tierno por dioooos

No lo sé, pero siento que lo que más los va a unir es el amor que sienten ambos por Mafuyu, sea amor romántico de parte de Uecchi y la amistad de Sato con Hiiragi
Lo que más me dolió de todo el volumen, (porque literal me rompieron el corazón varias veces) fue la relación entre Ugetsu y Aki. El dolor, odio y el daño que se hacían en esa relación tan tóxica era increíblemente alta y me dolía que Ugetsu no quería dejar ir a Akihiko porque no sabía lo que era vivir sin nadie a su lado, pero aún así aceptaba que amaba más la música que a Aki.
En su momento si hubo amor, tal vez, pero ya después de un tiempo, ese amor pasó a ser doloroso en ambas partes, tanto así que llevó a Aki a no disfrutar de la música y a Ugetsu aislarse, hacerle la vida miserable a Aki, hacerse daño a sí mismo y a encerrarse en una relación que no quería estar
La despedida de Ugetsu y Akihiko fue duro de ver pero necesario. Más el hecho que aún así Ugetsu aún volteó para ir por Aki, pero luego escuchó la voz de Mafuyu y lo dejó ir. Y me alegró por él, porque de verdad ahora puede hacer lo que ama y lo hace feliz.
Y la verdad también me alegro por Akihiko porque también le estaba haciendo mal esa relación y lo mejor era apartarse, me alegro que ahora volvió amar la música, y siguió su camino para mejorar y sanar, ya que a él la canción de Mafuyu también llegó profundo en él.
Y tengo que decir que aunque creo que la relación de Aki y Haruki fue algo rápido, me gusta que al final ambos son felices... Digo algo rápido porque el único momento en que Haruki pudo pensar en lo que pasó con Akihiko, pensar en sí mismo y en su futuro, fue cuando Akihiko se fue de su casa, donde doblegó a Haruki para vivir con él, y como el no es una mala persona se lo permitió. Se vieron obligados a convivir juntos, conocer más unos de los otros pero aún así Haruki no pudo afrontar lo que pudo haber sido si no lograba detener a Kaji y se llevaba a cabo la acción que habría dejado más en el fondo a Haruki.
Y sí, sé que hicieron las pases ambos, tanto Kaji con él mismo, con Haruki, como Haruki con él mismo, su futuro y pensar en todo. Estoy feliz porque ambos hayan logrado arreglar sus problemas y seguir adelante, pero no me puedo quitar de la cabeza que aún así se dio todo algo rápido.
Yo solo quiero que Haruki deje de llorar porque verlo llorar me rompe en mil pedazos y si Kaji lo hace feliz y no le vuelve hacer daño, puedo hacer las pases con el de cierta manera...
Desde que estoy leyendo Given me ha dado tantos sentimientos y cosas hermosas que guardar por siempre. He llegado amar a los personajes, he llegado a simpatizar, también a que me gusten, a entenderlos, a querer protegerlos, a cuidarlos como mis hijos y solo pienso en esta hermosa historia, porque lo es.

La autora ha creado personajes hermosos e historias a su alrededor tanto desgarradoras, felices, historias de superación, decepciones, de saber dejar ir aquello que te hace mal. Amo lo realista que son los personajes.
Solo amor a este manga y todo lo que me hacen sentir.
No tengo que decirlo porque es algo obvio pero sí, sí lloré demasiado leyendo este volumen

*sigh* This volume was so bittersweet. 😥 All of these sad boys are messing with my heart. I don't think we'll see Ugetsu again, but I wish him all the luck. He just needs to focus on his music right now. Love will find him once he's achieved everything he needs to in order to feel fulfilled artistically.
I think this volume managed to capture all the angst in everyone's relationship and rub it in our faces. That scene at the end where Akihiko finally tells Ugetsu it's over was so sad. Ugh, I kind of wish they could've worked out but then where would that leave Haruki?
The volume ends with Mafuyu singing a song to express all of their frustration and sadness. Without the actual lyrics it failed to create the emotional impact felt in the movie. The song they featured in the movie was "Yorugaakeru" but I think they should've used "Bokura dake no Shudaika" instead. It captured the heartbreak more imo. I loved everything about this volume, and since this is where the anime ends, I'm ready to jump headfirst into volume 6. 😁 5 stars

FINALLY!! I AM SCREAMING FINALLY.
I didn't think this will go this way and was low-key expecting Haruki to find someone else. You can see the tribulations that may come in the future but I'm sure they will be able to work through them. Also yay for an adult relationship in this story!

given is so sweet and warm, and at the same time, so heartbreaking and sad. it makes me feel very melancholic.

Vale. He solucionado el problema con ese personaje y veo de verdad como hay un desarollo de los personajes. Sigo pensando que no está mal como manga y hay veces que mi corazón da un vuelco con sus historias.

Seventh manga volume read for the 30-in-30 Manga Challenge for November 2022.
Quick review for a quick read. Volume 4 was a rough read for certain events that transpired, but this one was a strong offering even with those events in hindsight - and I liked that we see the relationships in this manga volume strengthen for development. Mafuyu and Uenoyama's relationship is really shaping up in a direction that I really like watching, especially considering it's showcasing how much Uenoyama notices how Mafuyu's changing over time. At first it seemed like Mafuyu wasn't confident about being a part of Given and contributing to the band, but he really seems like he wants to win the more that he practices and grows with the band. Uenoyama's reactions are still hilarious to watch in lighter moments. XD
I definitely had heated feelings towards Akihiko during the last volume over the way he's shifting between both Ugetsu's emotions and Haruki's, but this volume provided more clarity as to which direction he's firmly going. I still feel bad for Haruki, but I liked how this volume gave more background for their characters, as well as Ugetsu. When the blurb says that Ugetsu and Akihiko's history is "complicated" - it's no understatement. There's a toxicity/rift there. I'm still kind of on edge as to what might happen to both Akihiko and Haruki after this volume, but I'm waiting to see where the story takes them, essentially. But at least Akihiko seems to realize "Yeah, I need to be a better person and do things differently than I've been doing." (Still doesn't excuse his treatment of the people around him.)
I liked how this volume built up the framework of the music festival in the mix of events. It's still very much a slice-of-life series with a music backdrop. The art is still very strong, and I like the pacing of the story for this. Usually I can finish one of these volumes in about an hour or so. Overall, looking forward to the next volume in this series.

No puedo creer todo lo que me genera este manga ❤️🩹

Este volumen es lo último que vemos en la película y debo admitir que siguen complementándose muchísimo. El manga por sí solo no tiene el mismo impacto sea por los seiyuus, el OST o el ritmo, pero creo que es una de esas historias que tienes que ver ambos formatos para disfrutarlo mejor.
Dicho eso, me gusta que Akihiko haya dejado por la paz a Ugetsu pues, aunque decían amarse, lo cierto es que eran muy dañinos el uno para el otro (además siento que solo encajaban físicamente). Por otra parte, Haruki sirve como un bálsamo y un nuevo respiro para Akihiko y pese a que empezaron con el pie izquierdo, Akihiko decide reformar su vida y hacer cambios importantes en ésta con tal de ser digno del amable Haruki, quien por supuesto, nunca dejó de quererlo.
Como se lo comenté a Tania, creo que este manga no dice todo de golpe sino más bien te cuenta la historia de forma sutil, y cuando te pones a pensar en ello, caes en cuenta de que había muchísimas señales que indican un nuevo y mejor romance para los involucrados.
Debo admitir que la historia no es mi favorita, sin embargo, sí me tiene aquí chismeando para saber qué más va a ocurrir en los siguientes capítulos. Creo que el ritmo de algunas escenas podría mejorar, pero bueno, como dije, creo que la mangaka se esfuerza en contar la historia de tal forma que sientes que los conoces pese a que varios meses transcurren en apenas un par de páginas.
Este volumen contiene los capítulos 22 – 28.

Dicho eso, me gusta que Akihiko haya dejado por la paz a Ugetsu pues, aunque decían amarse, lo cierto es que eran muy dañinos el uno para el otro (además siento que solo encajaban físicamente). Por otra parte, Haruki sirve como un bálsamo y un nuevo respiro para Akihiko y pese a que empezaron con el pie izquierdo, Akihiko decide reformar su vida y hacer cambios importantes en ésta con tal de ser digno del amable Haruki, quien por supuesto, nunca dejó de quererlo.
Como se lo comenté a Tania, creo que este manga no dice todo de golpe sino más bien te cuenta la historia de forma sutil, y cuando te pones a pensar en ello, caes en cuenta de que había muchísimas señales que indican un nuevo y mejor romance para los involucrados.
Debo admitir que la historia no es mi favorita, sin embargo, sí me tiene aquí chismeando para saber qué más va a ocurrir en los siguientes capítulos. Creo que el ritmo de algunas escenas podría mejorar, pero bueno, como dije, creo que la mangaka se esfuerza en contar la historia de tal forma que sientes que los conoces pese a que varios meses transcurren en apenas un par de páginas.

La vdd este es el mejorcito de los cinco que he leído; sin embargo, para ser una obra que basa su trama en la música, es muy arrítmica. Se dice más de lo que se muestra y a pesar de que los personajes hablan y están juntos no lo siento. Los días pasan y aunque mencionan que de un ensayo a una presentación pasan semanas, meses incluso, el tiempo es tan vago que ya no sé cuánto tiempo ha pasado desde la primera vez que todos se conocieron.
Comencé este tomo pensando en que no me gusta el ritmo que tienen las transiciones entre las escenas de Mafuyu y Uenoyama y las de Akihiko y Haruki. Deseé saber más sobre qué pasó después de que Mafuyu mencionara el reloj: ¿qué conversaron?, ¿cómo lo tomó cada uno? ¿Soy yo la que desea saber de más? Se sabe el final de la relación pasada de Mafuyu y sin embargo lo percibo tan pasajero que me pregunto si no soy yo una insensible. Saber que a Mafuyu le costó encontrar la letra perfecta podría ser una buena excusa para explorarlo como personaje o un poco más de su relación con Uenoyama. La cosa es que siento que los conozco tan poco que es absurdo.
Las partes de Akihiko y Haruki me gustaron más, tienen mas cohesión y para la parte del concierto creo que los sentimientos de los personajes estaban en un punto decisivo ya con la perspectiva de Ugetsu sobre su enfermiza relación con Akihiko y con lo que se percibe como un cierre definitivo entre ellos. Amar y ser amado, dejar y ser dejado como es el título de un manga de Io Sakisaka; aunque detesto el catalizador usado para iniciar la relación entre Haruki y Akihiko sí me gustó el capítulo final de este tomo donde los vemos haciendo otras cosas, enfocándose en ellos, en lo que quieren y no sólo pensando en lo que les ha hecho daño en el pasado.

This volume has a special place in my heart. Gosh, I love Aki and Haru's love story more than Ritsu and Mafuyu's. That is why this volume is superior to me. Ah, I'm going to have a runny nose tonight, because I can't stop crying while typing this.
And mind you, I really cried all night after watching the movie version of this volume! I feel blue for Ugetsu, tho. I wish he could get a man someday who will treasure him just the way he is. He's so precious to me. And looking so vulnerable like that... I can't stop crying whenever I think about it. I'm a sucker for loner characters! I hope, one day he can finally come out of that dark box of an apartment. Man, he's trapped that's why he can't move on. It's too dark for him, and he doesn't know where the exit is. He didn't even want to hear Aki's break up speech. Gosh, I was sobbing so hard when he tried to call out his name. I was crying too hard when I found out that Aki broke down and cried too after walking away. It was just so sad. But Aki leaving is the best thing to do. They are just not right for each other. The feels! I hope someday, someone will open the door for Ugetsu. I'll still be here waiting. I need to witness that. There will really come a time, one day. It will be okay.

La situazione tra Haruki e Akihito non è delle migliori e il fatto che il primo ospiti il secondo a casa sua nonostante tutto quello che sia successo (!) non migliora la situazione e risulta incomprensibile ai loro amici. Ma forse pian piano grazie anche all'imminente concerto per il concorso dove partecipano con il gruppo, i due forse troveranno l'occasione giusta per aprirsi a vicenda e risolvere la situazione tra loro e Ugetsu. Che dire dopo aver passato l'estate a vedere questo anime è stato bello rivedere i disegni della Kizu perché sono stupendi e l'anime non è riuscito proprio a replicare (nonostante sia assolutamente stupendo - trovate un mio commento su Nerd Pool). Quindi sì, sono rimasta commossa dai disegni e dalla storia che è stupenda. E il finale del volume è davvero stupendo ed è la giusta conclusione tra i nostri Haru e Aki e per tutti coloro che gli shippano. Insomma se per caso non avete ancora recuperato questo manga che aspettate?!

Man, Kizu can pack in the feels. This is one of those rare manga where the silence says so much. There's a constant undercurrent of real emotion beneath, in, and between the panels. I love the story and the depth of attention given (no pun intended) to the details. I felt like someone was holding onto my heart for most of this volume. That hardly ever happens, even with novels or movies. It's so weird to look black at volume 1 and see where it is now. It's so heartfelt. I can't imagine not reading it. <3
