Campfires are for smores, spooky tales… and murder.
Ruby and Bee, the traveling baking duo, have decided to take a break from their usual spot in small-town, Muffin, Massachusetts. That means a spring camping baking break. Everything’s perfect—the macarons are light and delicious, the spring air is clean, and the campers are happy as can be.

I've enjoyed reading the first seven books in the series, but this one was just too hastily written.Besides the usual typos and grammatical errors, the characters were over-the-top. The campground supposedly has a great reputation but is run by a scary, dirty, violent dude who harasses them before they even get out of their truck? And then they stay there anyway? This and other decisions the characters make are just senseless.
The baking duo of Ruby and Bee decided to take break and go on vacation to the Tomahawk Trail Campground. The campground has seen better days. Before they can even register, the owner of the campground comes out yelling to them he isn’t going to have another group of sleazebags take advantage of my hospitality by selling food. His wife comes out and helps them register and locate their camp site. While walking around the campground, they come across a Labrador dashing into the clearing, barking wildly. The dog must belong to one of the folks staying in the campgrounds. Who did the dog belong to? Who murdered the friend they just met? Was it the campground owner or his wife? Or was it Lulu or the stranger living in the cabin along the river? The police arrive and the handsome detective seems to take a shine to Ruby. Although they say they won’t investigate the murder, they do exactly that and while putting their lives in danger, they solve the murder for the police. Once I started reading the book, I couldn’t put it down nor could I identify the murderer. It was a nice read and I enjoyed it. Looking forwarding to the next book in the series.

It's been a fun binge-read, but I'm now at the end of the existing books. The end of this book said the next one comes out this month, but I haven't seen anything on Amazon about it yet. I know I'll miss having Bee and Ruby in my reading. They had what was supposed to be a relaxing campground vacation which of course, turned into a murder investigation. The detective was handsome Hanson and clearly interested in Ruby. I am honestly getting a little tired of her not getting over the issue with her ex. It's been several years and has gone on for eight books now. She needs to realize that all guys aren't like him. But I'm sure she'll eventually come to her senses, lol.
The killer was who I'd hoped it would be, but I figured it wouldn't be if that makes sense? I love a planned ending where the police are nearby (yes, that's the only way I'd feel safe going up against a killer). It'll be fun reconnecting with the baking friends when the next book is out!
Bee and Ruby definitely need a vacation, so they head for a remote campground. Immediately the owner suspects they are there to sell their goods, and he verbally attacks them! His wife, thank goodness, is calm and welcoming. They are assigned a spot next to camper Ronald Brink and his dog Buddy. While at a camp activity, Buddy takes off again and Bee and Ruby follow, only to find Ronald Brink’s body in the woods! Why would someone murder a camper? Is the murderer still hiding in the woods? Will anyone else be put in danger?
I guess it’s easy to expect that Bee and Ruby will be hot on the murderer’s heels, just to make sure the police are doing their job! Do they have any clues this time? It seems so random to go after a camper! Grab your copy and see how they track down their suspects and get justice for the victim!
In book 8 Ruby and Bee plan a camping vacation. The pair book a campground that they don't realize has seen better days until they arrive. The owner is a nasty piece of work, but his wife seems to be nice. They interact with a few campers and make friends..until one of their new friends is murdered. The ladies snoop to find out as much as they can, and rule out a series of suspects. When they finally find out who-dun-nit, they endanger themselves by seeking irrefutable proof for the police and are saved by the officers timely arrival. I received an ARC gratis and offer my opinion in the same spirit. This is a cozy suitable for all ages, no sex or gore, just food, friendship and a mystery to solve.
Bee and Ruby are glad to get away on a much-needed vacation. They go-to a remote campground, where the owner is a rude Van Reed, who thinks they are there to sell their baked goods. His wife, Charlene, is more welcoming to them and sets them up by another camper Ronald Brink who has a dog named Buddy who keeps running off. Lulu Moore is an aspiring writer who is trying to peddle her book to anyone who will buy it. During a social cookout, Buddy gets away again and Bee and Ruby go after him. They find his body in the woods while chasing after Buddy. There is a murderer among the campground but who and why? I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Booksprout.
I love this series! These ladies cannot catch a break from finding dead bodies even when they are on vacation.
Ruby and Bea decide to go on vacation for a week at the Tomahawk Trail Campground. They are met by the animosity of the owner Van Reed but his wife Charlene smooths things over and gets them registered. They meet their neighbor Ronald Brink and his dog Buddy. At the weekly bonfire Buddy leads them to Ronald's dead body. As usual the gals try to solve the murder while getting tangled up with a petty thief, a scarred wife and a lonely lost brother. Must read!

Point's bite sized cozy is a perfect getaway for a couple of hours. Ruby and Bee, also in need of a getaway by taking a much needed break from their food truck business and Muffin turned to camping for a week. However, they get a less than warm welcome and unfortunately murder seems to follow them as Ruby literally stumbles upon the dead body of her new campground neighbor. Is it over love or money or something even more sinister when the camp owner's wife turns up missing.

Ruby and Bee take a well earned vacation from Muffin, when they stumble upon a body on the trail near the campground. One way to charm the campers into talking is to give out their delicious macarons. However, not all the suspects are charmed. I enjoyed this mystery and laughed out loud for some of the situations they got into.

The right amount of suspense to keep you on your seat. The right amount of humor to entertain you yet keep it in line as a cozy mystery. You'll love the characters and the story line as you get swept up more and more each time you turn the page. A great who dun it mystery.

Another great addition to this series! I love the interaction between these main characters. They are very different, but their personalities go together. This setting was different. Having a food truck go to a campground! Who would have thought! The storylines blended well. Good, easy get-away-read!
Bee & Ruby decide to take a vacation to get away from it all. A week camping in the woods should be fun, what could possibly go wrong?? As usual they find themselves in the middle of trouble. Love the characters and their adventures. I look forward to reading more in this series.
The baking team actually decides to go on vacation where they find that campfires are for spooky tales, smores, friendship and murder. This time Ruby actually falls over the dead body out in the woods – chasing Bee and a barking dog! Well written, well plotted, fast read! Stuburningly falling over a dead body chasing a dog!
Amazing start to this story, it gets you hooked quickly with the guise of a vacation, then BAM you are quickly trying to guess who did what and how before anything even happens. The entire book sucks you in and won't let you go. I couldn't put it down and was very glad it was the littles nap time so I could finish it all in one sitting. This is probably one of the best from the entire series.
The author has brought back our friends, Ruby and Bea. They have decided to go camping at a nearby campground. Too bad that no matter where they go, murder seems to find them.

It wasn't my favorite book in the series but I like books in a series with the same characters. Hopefully, the detective Hanson will be a part of the next book.
Bee and Ruby take a much needed vacation. Only to stumble upon anther murder.. Off they go sleuthing. Saving the day when they find the true killer.. What will the baking sleuthing duel find to get into trouble next
While on vacation in a camping ground Ruby and Bee once again are involved in a murder. They suspect many of their fellow campers but also cast an eye on the owners of the campground. Who could've dunnit?
Who would have thought that going camping leads to murder, but Ruby and Bee find a body in the forest. Of course the solve the murder. Does Ruby get a suitor out of this…..I’m downloading the next one now
Ruby and Bee decide to take a weeks vacation at a campground. Their first impression isn't the greatest when the owner of the campground threatens them upon arrival. A must read to follow the adventures of Ruby and Bee.
Another good entry in the bite-sized bakery series. Ruby and Bee take a week off to go camping in a nearby campground and of course, there is a murder. They help solve the case and then head back to Muffin, Massachusetts. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Ruby and Bee are driving to a campground and as soon as they arrive they are accosted by the owner and called users here to exploit people's out of their money. This series is really heating up and it is so well written and I love the characters.

Another fun read in the Bite Sized Bakery Series. Ruby and Bee head to a campground for a much needed vacation. But they can't catch a break as murder follows them . Well thought out supporting characters. descriptive setting plus an adorable Labrador
