Thank you for writing a story about the virus, it gives us a clearer look at what’s going on in other places. I loved the story line.

Thank you Goodreads Giveaways for letting me win this book!

I have to say that reading this book in the series really brought back some memories of those early months of the pandemic and lockdown!
There were the laughable times when panic buying was at its height but coupled with the awfulness of loved ones being stuck where you couldn't see them, or your nearest and dearest falling ill. And of course a nod to BLM as well.
Juliette and her crew go through the wars, as the world did, with issues with housing, Alex being stranded in Italy with his mother, Nana on a cruise ship stuck in the Orient, and ad extremely close family member succumbing to the virus, ending in a hospital stay.
Add in an ex who wants to try and gain residency of their daughter, and Juliette with a collapsed roof, then an overcrowded temporary residence, followed by a nightmare of building issues, due to the pandemic, and deliveries not arriving, she had a right headache!
I related to the whole schools closing and home schooling nightmare, as a teacher. In fact, I felt I was reliving part of the whole circus as I read!
Good job!

Wow

This is the next installment of the Duffy family clan. However, this one highlights our current situation with the coronavirus pandemic. Juiliette has to deal with the country going into lockdown, being quarentined with the worst person she can and being without Alex. It highlights the seriousness of the situation and how single parent house holds may have struggled with getting used to the now normal. Juiliettes biggest battle is with nick and there are a few things that increase the storm. But can she keep her life on track and when will she be united with Alex?
My least favourite character is nick jealousy is a fickle friend
My favourite character is Alex even though he kept it a secret it was a very romantic thing to do.
I would definately recommend this book and I have and I am looking forward to reading the next issue when it is released

I actually enjoyed this so much more than I was expecting too, I flew through it in just under 24 hours - it’s short diary entries so easy to fly through.

This was actually really amusing in parts and because it was written during lockdown about lockdown it was so relatable on so many different levels - not just being a mother.

If you need some light reading I really recommend this!

This book is part of a book series and all these books are a must read. When I found out that this author has done an add on to this series I couldn't wait to get my hands on it, I read it in one sitting as I couldn't put it down. This is The Bad Mothers Series.

With everything in the world going on the way it is this author made these characters very relatable and totally understandable.
Juliette and her daughter Daisy and Alex are so brilliantly written that you just have to love them and watching how Juliette navigates the world with a 3 year old and a virus is awesome. This family wanted to start 2020 as they mean to go and then the world throws out a virus and everything changes. The Duffy family go through so many ups and downs and some real scares and you feel like you go through it with them totally.

Some parts of this book are very sad and some are hilarious and you feel all your emotions along with them. They way this author writes is fantastic and I really enjoy every one of her books and this series is hilarious.
This book goes through the days and months from when this year started and I loved it and I think that this author has done a fantastic job they way she has brought this families issues during this virus to life.

I cant wait for the next installment in this series the wedding I cant wait as it is fantastic and I highly recommend that everyone reads the books in this series. Me personally I'd read them in order so you can feel what and who this family is from beginning to end.

This book is out now.

I was very excited to read this as it's a book that was in written during lockdown about lockdown.

It's the fifth in the Bad Mother series but only the first I've read. Juliette has a daughter, Daisy, with her ex-partner Nick. She is now engaged to be married to Alex who lives in Dalton Estate which is basically a huge mansion. Juliette is on the cusp of moving in with Alex to start their family life when the Covid-19 pandemic strikes whilst Alex is working abroad in Italy. Throw into the mix that Nick wants custody of Daisy and a whole multitude of things going wrong!

This was a really funny book and it felt weird to read about things that have happened so recently. It's written in diary entry format which made it very easy to fly through. It is as though it's a non-fiction book, with references to Boris Johnson testing positive, everyone's initial thoughts on how it's "just a bad flu and nothing to really worry about".

I love the character of Juliette and she's one of those characters that you just want to be friends with. Her thoughts of homeschooling and which foods are classed as non-essential really resonated with me as a mother of two who has been homeschooling too.

It's a fantastic read which had me laughing out loud and I will definitely read the rest of the series!

The worst out of all the books in the series. HANDS DOWN. Probably one of the reasons for this opinion of mine has to do with the fact that I'm so fed up with the covid situation (as most of us are) in real life that reading about it too was a big no-no for me. The plot is just a revisitation of the process of expansion the virus had during last year's events, and I got bored, anxious and worried again. I'm sure that if I had known what this was going to be about, I would not have read it at all, although I already have on my Kindle all the books in the series purchased.

The plot, as I said, was just a recollection of the virus spreading throughout Europe, plus a copy and redundant repetition of plots that already happened in previous books. Seriosly? There is nothing new to tell?

The characters really annoy me sometimes. I know it's supposed to be comical and make people laugh, but the clownish characterisation of the characters is the great turn-off. I still don't believe the love interest. I still don't believe the dinamics of the family. I still don't believe certain characters (all the mothers-in-law, grandmas, etc. are the worst characters, for me).

I won this book from a Goodreads giveaway. This is the first book in the series, and I’m not sure if that affected my perspective, but I think the book is cute, but probably not enough to rewind and read the previous books in the series.

I like that the author has said she will be donating profits from the book to help fight COVID-19, and though at times it felt like there were details where I thought, “TOO SOON!”, overall, I feel she kept true to the events of this crazy year.

The book is written in diary style, with multiple entries for each day. Sometimes the entries aided the story in moving forward, sometimes they just highlighted what an unlucky woman the main character was. I had a lot of sympathy for her situation....nothing worse that one step forward, three steps back!

The story ended with a happy ending, which I really was glad to see.

At the end of the book, the author included a sample of another of her books, Not My Daughter, and I actually found myself more intrigued by that story, and plan on adding it to my To-Read list on Goodreads.

I love the bad mother series and when I saw that the author had done this it was straight into my preorders. It was so strange to read about a fictional family but within the times we've gone through recently, just shows how far we've come but how far we've still got to come, it's a crazy scary time but we will get through this. I am so proud to work for the NHS and also my Dad too. Shout out to all the keyworkes including my Mum, your all legends everyday.
The story carries on with the books as a series so recommend reading in order to get what's what and who's who etc but it was like diving straight back into one of my fav families and enjoyed the book start to finish. Can't wait for the next! 😊

Well.. This part of the series obviously had some more serious moments in it, family and friends separated, family dealing with coronavirus differently, people being poorly, but throughout all of that there were so many funny parts.
The whole story had me laughing on every page, even some of the more serious parts had light hearted comedy.
I have absolutely loved this series and now I can not wait for the next book in the series to come out!
Can be read as a stand alone but I would definitely recommend reading from the first book to get a feel of the characters. You won't be disappointed! Loved it and can't wait to catch up again with the wonderful but slightly disfunctional julsey and her family

Fab read

The Bad Mother's Virus was a great read, Suzy's book's are always so relatable, everyday situations told in fab stories full of fun and laughter but also tears, it was good laughing at situations around the pandemic which has been awful, I've known many people who've lost family members and people who've been ill but it was good to look at it in a different way, it was filled with emotion and laughter which was very much needed , Suzy tells her stories in a brilliant way and I can't wait for the next one The Bad Mother's Wedding, well done on another great book Suzy and for donating to the NHS.

The Bad Mothers Virus by Suzy Quinn
⭐️5

I love these books, there just so uplifting and honestly.....it’s a good job I did my kegals after giving birth coz it makes you laugh so hard.

Once again we find Juliette in a pickle.....this time it’s Covid-19s fault! An issue we all know and we’re all living through currently. Disaster after disaster ensues and Juliette finds herself hopping from house to house when all she wants to do is move into Alexs house with him and start their life!

I’d definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a little laughter in their day and in need of some good old fluff to get stuck into.

Another fab read from Suzy

Another brilliant read from Suzy, I love this series especially because juliets family is quite similar to my own. I find this hilarious. I love the story behind this series . It makes me laugh, even though Covid-19 was obviously very serious and heartbreaking for the whole world Suzy has managed to make a little chink of light in this and wrote something hilarious, warm, fuzzy but also serious and also sad. I absolutely loved this book the final knock on the door was a touch of gold and really made me chuckle. Overall this book is a fantastic addition to the collection

Just how bad of a virus does it have to be to make a bad mother great.....read on to find out

The Bad Mother's Virus is another funny and very enjoyable addition to the "Bad Mother" series by Suzie K Quinn. Just as so many single mother's, well all parents really, are dealing with trying to carry on with daily life in this age of great pandemic so does the fearless h, Juliette. Really she is her own H in this book as she deals with everyone else's craziness around her while trying to get her HEA, which may not happen in the vision that she had originally planned it for.

I received a copy of this books for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Just when Juliette thought that things were moving in the right direction. Engaged to the lovely Alex Dalton and plans to move into his amazing house with her daughter Daisy. It all starts to go wrong with the help from her ex Nick (Daisy's father) and his custody battle. If solicitors, home visits and assessments weren't bad enough. Coronavirus starts to make an impact on the world around her. From her nana on a cruise ship, her fiancee stuck in Italy, the UK is about to go into lockdown.

A diary style book, journally you through several months of Juliette's life as the pandemic takes hold and she has to deal with the unprecedented times.

Hilarious, but also very, very real.

You smashed it Suzy!!! Thank you so Much for a read that had me laughing, but also made me appreciate how lucky many of us are, and remembering those who have suffered great pain. It was a wonderful combination of great humour and the reality that we still all live with. What a special person you are to donate all the proceeds from your book towards helping to find a vaccine for this vile disease. EVERYBODY buy and read it! An utterly brilliant book.

Another brilliant book from the pen of Suzy K Quinn. I was a little sceptical at first but will admit to loving this book which made me laugh and cry while I followed the timeline of the Pandemic that is currently engulfing us. The way she was able to cover the Oriental Cruise Liner abandoned off the Japanese coast, the Italian Lockdown and a close call for one family member was so well researched and written. Well done Suzy on an amazing piece of work, not many authors could have covered this pandemic in the way that you have. Thank you for cheering me up

Fantastic reading

Love this series, this one brought some lightness to the situation the world is in right now. I in no way mean this as an insult, to me it could be describing anyone's family, feelings, worries just now. This makes the characters more relatable in some way. I have been drinking more, stress with home schooling etc. Shopping in the beginning of this virus was just a joke here too. Well deserved 5 stars! and can't wait for the next book.

Couldn't wait to start this one & it didn't disappoint. Totally on point with everything happening around us due to covid-19 from bulk buying, isolation & face masks. Made me laugh out loud in places & cry in others when she thought she was going to lose her Mum. My Mum too was diagnosed positive on May 8th, but self isolated & has now recovered. This was just what we need to brighten up these dark times we're living in at the moment. #StaySafe

The bad Mother's Virus

I read this book while waiting for my own Covid results to come back which were thankfully negative. It was lovely to catch up with the Duffy's again. From reading Suzy's previous books I felt I knew all the characters personally. I love the twist and turns of her stories and get down to earth characters. Will look forward to hopefully Juliet and Alex's marriage which I'm sure won't go without a hitch

A ray of light during a rough time

I loved this book it covers coronavirus in a very sensitive manner whilst also keeping it light with her usual humour. Well written and definitely worth a read.
I also really liked her story at the end about her father and how he was on a ventilator and he luckily pulled through. Makes you remember to hold onto the ones you love that much tighter. ❤️

A bit of a sad story in a way reliving the whole covid lock downs, but The Author injected her usual squirt of Humor, I nearly wet myself when john boy thought he had covid as he was hallucinating and it was callum running outside his caravan with an alien on a stick, But that awful reality hit of Just how Many people we have lost again and what it was like watching families torn apart by the wretched virus. A great read i missed Alex, but loved the rest of the family time.....

Bad Mother's Diary Series is amazing and this book Bad Mother's Virus is perfectly true/real, intense but couldn't stop smiling and laughing throughout. Suzy Quinn described the real days of Covid perfectly but in her amazing romantic comedy way. Fabulous page turner, couldn't put the book down. Hysterical, heart-warming and tearful at different stages you can't stop turning the page to see what happens next, abosultely loved this book and love this series, thank you.

What Can I say Suzy! Yet another amazing book! You had me on the end of my seat plenty of times with what was going to happen!. You also had me crying at the end. So Thankyou again Suzy! Because it made me feel that everything that is going on is only in this book that I’m reading! Not real life! So Thankyou. Cannot wait for the next one 🥰🥰
