A cursed witch.
A vampire on his last mission.
A love that must defy the odds to survive.

As one of the oldest vampires to walk the earth, Finn O’Malley has lived long enough and is now ready to put an end to it all, to seek solace in oblivion. Just as he makes the decision to disappear, the only woman who ever stirred his curiosity, and the one woman he should avoid, calls for his help.

Witch Violet Shaughnessy knew becoming involved with a vampire was the last thing she should do, especially as her parents had been murdered by one. There was something about Finn O’Malley that called to her though, and she couldn’t keep away, even giving him her blood to save his life. Through darkness and despair, her magic cursed, and good and evil fighting for dominance inside her, Violet reaches out to Finn through their blood connection, knowing he’s the only one that can save her.

With the clock ticking, Finn and Violet work to defeat the unseen and unknown foe that condemned Violet, only to discover they are stronger together than they are apart. With their lives on the line and pulled into a world of dark magic, Finn is confronted with all the reasons he longed for death, while Violet makes him realize there may be one thing powerful enough to save them, and give him the will to live after all—love.

Kitapta en sevdiğim Oscar Wilde'in şu sözleri olabilir...
'Ölüm çok güzel olmalı. Yumuşak kahverengi toprağa uzanmak, çimler başının üstünde sallanarak ve sessizliği dinlemek. Ne dünü var, ne de yarını. Zamanı unutmak, hayatı affetmek, huzur içinde olmak.'

OMG!!! I was sooooo excited to finally get my hands on this book. The Sanctuary Chronicles series is one of my all-time favourites!!! I love everything India Kells writes, and have read all her books- but this is hands down my favourite series of hers! I couldn’t wait to dive in and devoured it in an afternoon.
Dead Magic is the highly anticipated third book in The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells. I love that we finally get Finn and Violet’s story. Having met them both in the previous books, I was immediately intrigued by them and wanted to know more. Hello- hunky vampire and a beautiful and powerful witch, do I need to say more. I wasn’t sure the book would live up to my extremely high expectations, but I should never have doubted Ms. Kells, as this book is every bit as good as the previous books, if not better. The story is extremely well woven and completely enchanted me right from the beginning, holding me spellbound right till the last word. Ms. Kells weaves a breathtaking paranormal romance with fantasy, vampires, witches, werewolves/shifters, necromancers, magic, danger, suspense, intrigue, drama, mystery, sinister plots, hidden agendas, black magic, curses, murders, and a race against time.
This story could be read as a standalone, but I really recommend reading the first two books before diving into this one- as there are a lot of recurring characters in this story who we get to meet in the previous books- as well as getting helpful backstory and character information. Not to mention that they are both exceptionally good stories in their own rights. If you love fantasy, paranormal stories, with suspense and a sizzling romance- I cannot recommend this book/series highly enough!
The story is so superbly written, wonderfully detailed, with vivid descriptions that help to bring everything into being. One of the things I have learned about Ms. Kells is that her stories are never simple, there are layers and complexities to everything. There is definitely a lot more to Finn, Violet, and their story. But with time running out they are going to have to work together to get to the bottom of it all and find a solution, before it’s too late.
Spellbinding reading!!!!

Thank you, India Kells!

I just finished this book this morning. I couldn't sleep until I did because it kept me on that razor edge of insanity wanting to see what next. I was so glued to this book and I loved it! I picked it up and didn't realize until I started to write this review that it was the third book in The Sanctuary Chronicles. What!? I've missed out on two previous stories connected to this one?! I'm crying because it was so good as a standalone and that ending was so good. I guess I'm going to have to go back and find the first two and read them just to be in that caught-up club. But this story was so good in its own. I don't feel deprived. I just think I need to indulge in all the feels of its predecessors. This was a brilliant introduction to a new to me author.

This story is a paranormal smorgasbord of fantastic characters, magic and mayhem, mystery and intrigue, steamy interludes and just great imagery. Violet is a witch and Finn is the centuries old vampire in love with her. The irony of her falling in love with the vampire is only the top of the iceberg. Finn is on the precipice of the decision to end his undead life. But then he hears the witch's voice screaming for him in agony through their blood bond. He discovers Violet has been captured and is being tortured by an evil group. Finn will stop at nothing to find her if it's the very last thing he does. It's the least he can do. But the dark magic surrounding her capture will give them several choices to make, each more deadlier but one may offer redemption.

It's so hard to write a good review without spoilers so I have to stop here! This book truly deserves all five stars I have to give it. It was an excellent read!

Dead Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles, Book 3)
By India Kells
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book Dead Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles, Book 3) by India Kells. It is a paranormal/romance story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Finn O'Malley and Violet Shaughnessy. Finn is one of the oldest vampires to walk the earth. He finds himself ready to put an end to himself. Then a call comes out of the blue, the one who will have Finn rushing to her side, Violet. Violet is a witch whose parents were killed by a vampire. That makes her question her involvement and feelings for Finn. Both Finn and Violet can’t seem to stay away from each other. There is a definite connection and pull towards each other. They find themselves working together to find out who has condemned Violet. What does the future hold for Violet and Finn? Will Finn save Violet? Will Violet convince Finn that their love is worth living for? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me wondering what was going to happen next and how it all would end up. I grew to care about Finn and Violet with each chapter that I read and wanted them to be happy. Other characters interact with Violet and Finn who I enjoyed reading about as they are friends and helpful to them. There are surprises that I didn’t see coming as well as some very steamy romance. This is an amazing story that has unforgettable characters. I highly recommend reading it.

This was a book that really drew me in right away and kept my attention for pretty much the whole book. There is a sense of urgency, darkness, light, forbidden love, redemption and forgiveness that keeps you turning the pages as you hope that things will work out for Violet and Finn.

Violet is a powerful witch and Finn is a very ancient vampire and according to the laws that govern them both their union is not one that will be sanctioned by the higher ups.

Violet has reasons to hate vampires and Finn knows that wanting her is a lost cause. Circumstances beyond their control draw them together and only together can they deal with this new foe.

Violet relies on know one if she can help it. She has now found herself a part of a family that will not allow her to battle on her own, in her mind she thinks leaving will keep them safe whilst they want her to understand she does not have to face the darkness alone.

Finn while his world is one of darkness, and though he loves to bait Violet, for him she is his light and the only thing keeping him from taking that final step to oblivion.

These two are a very strong team and their dual POV’s made the story come to life. The secondary characters or self made family rounded out the cast in a nice way and gave you that close knit feeling that makes for a great read.

Dead Magic

Dead Magic: The Sanctuary Chronicles
India Kells

I started reading this book not realizing it was the third book in the series. I believe you can read them as a standalone as I had no problems following. I'm sure I would understand the dynamics of some of the supporting characters in this book more had I read them, and I do intend to go back and read them. This book is about Violet and Finn. One is a light witch and the other is an old vampire. Their story is amazing. They have an incredible bond and go through a lot together and then their bond is even stronger and they have even more things to face. But it seems in this story the adage of love will conquer anything is true. Finn is very connected to Violet, and he knew she was in trouble before others even realized she was missing. That is the start of the story and this one has many twists and turns. After reading the epilogue and the short bits of the first two, I want to read them even more. I'd also love to have a 4th or 5th. I hope to read many more things by this author. If you like paranormal books, you should pick this one up. This one kept me enthralled from beginning to end.

“Dead Magic, book 3 in The Sanctuary Chronicles series and also my first book of the author India Kells and surely it won’t be the last one. What in the world did I just finished reading? A cursed witch, a vampire and a love that must defy a spell... as you can guess it was epic!

Witch Violet life changed drastically when she was kidnapped and tortured. I feel sad for what happened to her. The anxiety and the mystery behind their kidnapping had me on the edge of my seat. Lucky for Violet, she had on of the oldest vampires walking on earth protecting her. Finn was one of the most beautiful souls! He did the ultimate sacrifice for Violent and between tears my love for him grew more. He was hot and sexy for sure but he was also caring, protective and romantic on his own special way. The connection between them was more deeper than just an exchange of blood. It made the bond between them unique and their romance was delightful to read.

Magic, vampires, a spell and supporting friends. Violent and Finn are running out of time to defeat the mystery seeking Violet soul. An amazing paranormal romance that you must read. Once you start reading you won’t be able to put the book down.”

Dead Magic: (The Sanctuary Chronicles #3) by India Kells is a fantastic paranormal romance and great addition to the series. India weaves a magical tale of two wonderful characters and an unlikely pairing finding love through magic and mayhem with many magical beings, Witches, Vampires, Werewolves, Dragons and more. There is a lot going on in the story that kept me engrossed. I got lost in it and couldn’t put it down reading it in one sitting! I suggest reading all the books in order as the characters from the other books are all in it.

Violet is a witch who will do nothing to stop the evil and help those who she loves. She is fiery and finds herself with an attractions that should not be. When her world is turned upside down she loses herself from what she was to what she is becoming. She is terrified and hurt and the one person she should hate is the one person who she needs.

Finn is a very, very old Vampire who has had enough of the life he leads and has decided to disappear. There is one witch who has caught his attention but he knows it can never be, that is until he feels the horror and pain she is in. It is a race against time to find her and help her. Will they both survive?

Book 4 can’t come quick enough.

I was so stoked to get my hands on this book, Dead Magic, the third in The Sanctuary Chronicles from India Kells. This has to be one of my favorite series of hers and they are jammed full with action, adventure, magic, mystery, lore, and steamy fun to balance it all out. I could not wait to get the story of Violet and Finn with this one and they did not disappoint. Another side note about this series is the covers, like they literally grab you without even saying a word. I wouldn’t even need a title on these to know they have to be full of some amazing story lines. This one may be my fav because of the purple undertones but it is drool worthy and definitely worth mentioning. I would highly recommend also that you read the first two books before this one. While it can be read as a stand alone novel I feel that these are better read in order so you get that slow and inevitable build up of excitement with each new one you read. This one has my favorite pairing, a sexy vampire, and a fierce witch. These two don’t want what fate is throwing their way. Will they be able to find the common ground and manage a relationship? That is about all I felt safe sharing the rest is only good when read by your own eyes. I can’t wait to see what will come next!

Violet Shaughnessy is a witch with flaming red hair and a temper to match it. She is the first one to offer help to a friend in need, but not normally very good at asking for it in return, this until her world is turned upside down and a war begins inside of her that she cannot control, or decide what the outcome will be.

Finn O’Malley is one of the oldest vampires around, he has seen it all, done it all and all that is left now is to disappear and not to bother with his undead life anymore, this is until he hears Violet screaming through their blood bond. He realises that helping her is the last thing that he will do and even out the score for her sharing her blood with him and saving him in the past.

This unlikely pairing shows the other that they have to work together in order to overcome the barriers and challenges they will face, but working together, can they embrace the other, accept what needs to be accepted and face the outcome of that internal war?

This is one pairing which will keep you on the edge of your seat, as the tug of war is played out and keeps you guessing as to the who’s, whats, where’s and why's are slowly revealed.

Part 3 of a series of stories about the town of Sanctuary where every living creature can live in peace. Even though I haven't read previous parts (but I definitely want to now!), this book is a standalone and refers to other characters who had their stories in earlier parts.
This story is about a witch (Violet) and a vampire (Finn). They have met before and Finn formed a bond with her when she saved him and made him drink her blood. Through this bond he feels her pain when she is kidnapped and wants to save her. After her near-death experience, she admits her feelings for Finn and then hot sex scenes follow as they search for Violet's kidnappers. The love between Violet and Finn continues to grow and their connection is so deep, the conversations they can have in each other's heads are sweet and full of love, but also humorous. The other residents of Sanctuary help to unravel the mystery surrounding the kidnapping of Violet.

I thought this was a great paranormal novel with multiple touches of magic that made for a very happy ending.

Finn is quite an old vampire and Violet is a witch. They are not supposed to like each other, well they don`t, but there`s a crack somewhere and it breaks open their connection. They start to like each other in an intense situation. She`s disappeared and Finn will do anything to get her back. The trail of magic is impressive and the connection with her Sanctuary family is very beneficial when she needs them the most.

Finn "You can say whatever you want, but there's no magic involved, and I know you don't fear me. Your pumping heart tells me so. Think about what happened and how you`re reacting and feeling. That's all I ask. I don't take what isn't offered to me and never will." And on those words, and despite the scent of her lust in the air, he left and closed the door behind him. I absolutely loved this chapter, you can see their connection. From here on in, it's a wild ride to figure out what is going on and I loved the ride.

I received this advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is quite the story that took me on ups and downs with this couple. I really was looking forward to this book as I loved the fire and spice between this witch and vamp. We get taken on a journey with these two. One has been damaged and finding help is what spurs them. They are each thrown off kilter in their individual worlds as well as their joined world.

It is great seeing all the crew from previous stories again. Plus we get a bit more of Hunter the human. He really has become invaluable to these paranormals. I was also happy to see that Abrams the ghoul got a bit more of a part as well since he is intriguing.

This is the third in the series and could be read as a stand alone. While I was eagerly awaiting their story I didn’t love it as much as I thought I would. I just didn’t feel their fire and spice like I expected. It’s still a great story that takes the reader to different places and touches on the dark side of things. Overall it was very enjoyable and I didn’t put it down until I found out what happened with these two.

Dead Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles Book 3) by India Kells
4 Stars

Finn O’Malley is one of the oldest living vampires. Nothing much interests him anymore except Violet Shaughnessy. She is a powerful witch and he knows that he must stay away from her. He decides to head back to Ireland to end his long life. Through their bond, she cries out for help and unable to resist, he stays. She’s been taken and being tortured, he can feel it. How can he save her when he doesn’t know where she is? Sometimes no matter how different people are or if there are a million reasons why it shouldn’t work, fate makes you stronger together. To fight this battle, they need to be on the same page to overcome evil.

This is another winning story to add to the Sanctuary Chronicles. Filled with magic, danger and suspense, it will keep you glued to your seat. Meeting both these characters in the previous books, I was happy to read their story. I loved the way their relationship progressed. The way Finn handles Violet took my breath away. I love him! This is definitely a must read.

Finn and Violet! Now this book can be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend you read the other two books in the series, to meet the other characters and to see how Finn and Violet have grown since then. Finn is an extremely old vampire and Violet a powerful witch. It was sad to see how Finn wanted to give up and end his life, but of course I love that Violet is what makes him feel again, and makes him want to keep going, she is his light. It was a nice twist to see that Violet did not trust and was leery of vampires because they killed her parents. And just like in the previous book, a vampire and witch can’t be together, the laws that govern the supernatural will not allow it, but of course they overcome those obstacles and it is exciting, dangerous and fun to watch their relationship move along. There are so many more crazy things that happen with this couple, you do not want to miss out. I have been in love with this series and I can’t wait to see what India Kells will come out with next!

Dead Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #3) by India Kells was a thrilling 5 star read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning.

Finn is a very old vampire, he is at the point where he is ready to meet his maker. However, when a certain someone connects with him and asks for his help, his plans change immediately. She is the one and only person he would stay for.

Violet lost her parents to a vampire and should hate them but something about Finn pulls her in and she can’t stop thinking about him. He’s different from the others. When Finn arrives to help Violet, they discover that working together makes them stronger, can they work together to keep Violet safe and help with her internal war?

Overall this was a great read, my emotions were all over the place. The characters were all great. I love Violet and Finn’s connection. If you like paranormal romance you will love this book and series. 1-click and get started today.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the vampire and witch love story and also the romance and intimacy that is so well written you feel every emotion.

This is the 3rd book in The Sanctuary Chronicles series. It follows the story of Violet and Finn.

Finn is an ancient vampire who ends up being connected to Violet after he drank from her. Finn has feelings for the witch but he cannot act on them so decides to leave. That is until through his link with Violet he realises she is in pain and danger.

After finding her she is a shell of herself with no idea what happened to her. With Violet feeling her magic has gone she doesnt know where to turn.
That is until Finn offers to help her retrace her steps to find out who kidnapped her and why.

Together they go on a journey that involves danger as the story unfolds and along the way their connection and feelings get stronger for each other.

Will Finn leave after this mystery is solved or will the little witch capture his heart for good.

5 Stars

Before I go any further I must comment on this cover..Holy Moly how beautiful is this?? Even if this wasn't already one of my favorite authors EVER, I would have read this book because of the cover.

So now that that's out of the way.. I loved this book, not surprising because I love all of India's books. The Sanctuary Chronicles series sits up as one of my favorite series and I couldn't wait to get Finn’s story. Who doesn't love a Vampire / Witch story, especially when filled with every emotion possible. I sat down with this on a break and that break lasted till I was reading the last word.

You could, I suppose read this as a stand alone, but don't do that, the characters throughout the series come in and out and I'm so thankful I have the others already in my head. I can not wait for book 4 and have also decided to read all of these again before the next comes out.

RUN don't walk and grab this whole series!!

Loved this book!! From beginning to end I was completely captivated by Finn and Violet’s story! The author (who I adore) wove a magical paranormal romance tale of two wonderful characters! There was so much going on in the story that I couldn’t put it down at all and read it in one sitting! The story just flowed easily from page to page – I think this could possibly be one of my favourite books by Ms Kells! I love how Violet and Finn really shouldn’t be together, Violet hates vampires, but there was something there between the two of them that was undeniable! I loved the interaction between the two of them! I did feel for Violet and what happened to her in her past and Finn really wanted to protect her.
I absolutely adored this story and cannot recommend it enough to other readers!

Dead Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles, Book 3) by India Kells. I love India Kells and this book is no exception. I zoomed thru it quickly. Its the 3rd book in the series but could be read as a standalone. Its the story of Violet Shaughnessy a cursed witch and Finn O'Malley one of the oldest vampires on Earth. Finn is ready to put an end to it all until Violet reaches out to him. Violet is the only woman to ever stir anything inside Finn and he knows that she is the last woman he should mess with. Violet hates vampires and knows better than to mess with them because they murdered her parents but something about Finn pulls Violet in and she has no control. Their chemistry is so strong. She even ends up saving his life with her blood. Once they have that blood connection they are bound to one another. Will they be able to stop the evil lurking at the door? Read Dead Magic to find out!

A cursed witch.
A vampire on his last mission.
A love that must defy the odds to survive.

Finn is ready to put an end to his life. When a powerful witch stirs his emotions will he think twice.
Violet should hate vampires but Finn calls to her.

Vampires, witches and so many other supernatural beings made me want to pick up this book and it did not disappoint. As Violet goes through a traumatic experience, Ms Kells writes such vivid scenes about it that you feel like you are there. This book was non stop angst and action from chapter to chapter. As Violet and Finn race against time there were plenty of moments I didn't know what would happen. Plenty of twist & turns, surprised, black magic, darkness, and light to keep you reading. Oh and the steamy parts were panty melting.

This is a standalone read. I did not read the other two books in this series and I was not lost.

This is the third book in this series. I loved this one just as much as the previous books. This is a story that has well developed characters that bring the story to life. I had no issues connecting to them with each page I turned. What will happen when you have a vampire who wants to disappear but is intrigued by a witch and a strong bond? She gave him her blood to save him but will he be able to save her? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens between this vampire and witch. They have awesome chemistry and really make this story what it is. I also enjoyed how the secondary characters are supportive and add to the story. I highly suggest checking out this book and this author.

This is the third book in The Sanctuary Chronicles and although I didn't read the first two, I didn't find myself confused or missing big parts of the story; though I’m sure reading the pervious books would give me more depth of understanding in regards to the characters.

I LOVED Finn … who doesn’t love the tired, weary Vampire … made me think about Lestat a lot with his inner monologues telegraphing his weariness with continuing to exist.

Then he met Violet a fiery witch who when needed offered to feed him … double edged sword … now they have a connection. This helped him find her when needed but did she want to be found? This was an intense drama, with action and adventure.

This is an unexpected love story between the two of these characters: a damned witch and a vampire on his last operation and a love to stand the test of time must prevail.
Finn O’Malley has lived a thousand lives as a vampire and is seeking to be hidden away, an old flame seeks out his help.
Her parents were killed by a vampire but now Violet Shaunessy must seek help from the very thing she’s been trying to avoid. She’s saved his life with her blood. The two had something on the line for each of their powers at stake: By sharing a blood communication, they can reach one another.
The two must join forces together to battle an unknown foe but can their love carry them through? This is a great addition to the series.

Dead Magic: The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells. This one may just be my favorite yet by this author. Immediately I was completely drawn in to this book and couldn’t put it down. This author writes characters that are easy to connect with and picture , they bring the story to life. I find myself lost in the pages and wishing it didn’t have to end. I sometimes have a harder time getting into a fantasy/paranormal type story but I never have that issue with this author and series. The characters are complex and relatable with chemistry jumping off the pages. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Can’t wait for more from this author. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

Dead Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles, Book 3) by India Kells

Dead Magic is the third book in The Sanctuary Chronicles series by India Kells. This is a Paranormal Romance that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. This is hands down my favorite series of this Author and this one is definitely my favorite of this series. Finn is one of the oldest vampires to walk the Earth and is ready to end it until he gets a call from Violet. Violet is witch and her parents were killed by a vampire. Violet and Finn find themselves working together to find out who has condemned her. Can she convince him his life is worth living ? Will Finn save her? What does their future look like? Find out what happens next in this must read.

Finn is one of the oldest vampires to walk the earth. Violet is a witch whose parents have been killed by vampires. You would think Violet would stay away from FInn but nope she is connected to him by blood. Can their blood bond keep them safe from what is going on in the world? Will the dark magic overpower Violet and Finn? This book is the third book in the The Sanctuary Chronicles and I believe it is the best book of the series. India Kells will amaze you with the vivid scenery and character development. The story keeps you turning the pages because you want to know what is coming next. I felt like I was on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I highly recommend this series to see if love wins.

Dead Magic: The Sanctuary Chronicles
by India Kells

This book drew me in from the beginning and kept me intrigued and engaged throughout. I loved reading about Finn and Violet, the way they push each other's buttons and their attraction is off the charts no matter how forbidden it is. This book is full of action, magic, witches, vampires, friendships, danger, love, and so much more. I was on the edge of my seat through so much of this story, I just couldn't put it down until I found out what was going to happen. Of course our favorite characters from the previous books are still with us in this one. You will absolutely want to read this awesome book. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.
