Inu × Boku SS, vol. 3 [Inu x Boku Secret Service] 03

Rate this book

Ririchiyo is a girl who is special, and because of this, she is showered with riches and lives in a wealthy lifestyle. Although she gets whatever she wants, she has never received love from her family. Whenever she made friends, she felt that she made others hurt including herself. That is why she decided to disguise herself as a cold person, who lashes at others with her tongue. Later on she moves into Maison de Ayakashi, where she meets Soushi. He understands her, even if she uses harsh words and cares for her. Slowly, Ririchiyo will come to realize that she doesn't have to be alone.

I love the Ririchiyo's character development in this, she has come so far.

She is slowly opening up to others and is comfortable with talking to others. She is ready to no longer be alone, and I love that! Soushi is great, but he is so possessive and creepy at times. He doesn't let her do some things because he cares for her, but it won't give her a chance to expand her social life. Onii-Sama is such a great character as well, I can't stop laughing when he's in the chapter. He is a great brotherly figure as well to Ririchiyo. Natsume is hiding something and Soushi is too, I don't know what it is but I hope it's nothing too serious. Karuta is a great friend and Banri is too, even if he's kinda crazy.

This volume was a lot of fun, there were so many games. I couldn't stop laughing at the "Be Silent" sign and how everyone took it seriously.

I can't wait to read the next volume, this was so much fun. I can't wait to read more and I hope to learn more about the other characters. It was interesting to learn more about Banri in this volume, it shows why he cares for Karuta so much.

I will be off to watch more anime and read another volume of this! I still haven't picked up Carry On and I should do it soon! But til then, see you in the next review!

The covers are a bit brave))
And this volume was a bit light. Still there was a dark moment about that hundred-eyed Zange's vision about future/ Chillllsss.....
Wow, Soushi is really cunning and even controlling. Good luck, Rirircho, with that new boyfriend))
Still, all of that excessive over-protecting side of Soushi is annoying.
Anyways, let's appreciate the cuteness of Banri Watanuki and Karuta Roromiya^^

(Contains some spoilers.)

“There’s no solid evidence or binding power like there is with a romantic partner. Friendship is hard.”

This series just makes me smile. And laugh. It’s absolutely one of my favorites now, an automatic buy, one that I get excited about reading. And one that I could probably re-read several times and still laugh about.

The romance took a very nice turn in this volume—a huge step forward. There was a moment where Ririchiyo could have stereotypically chickened out, but instead she took the leap forward. And I am so very happy that she did that. It impresses me, and it makes me so very happy about everything going forward. The best parts of a romance, as far as I’m concerned, always seem to happen after the relationship starts.

I love Ririchiyo and Soushi. They are absolutely adorable and hiliarious together. Plus, the ways that Ririchiyo are good for Soushi (and vice versa) are so very good. I love how she realized what her feelings would mean to Soushi, and why she took the step forward. That’s so huge. It makes me so happy.

There aren’t many graphic scenes between them, during or after the big scene, but there are a lot of hints and touches. Just that makes me infinitely happy. And Soushi is so adorable with her. Also, their height differences, and how tiny Ririchiyo is compared to Soushi (like when he picks her up and holds her) is just so freakin' adorable. I love it.

I also really like Ririchiyo and Roromiya’s relationship. Their friendship is so nice, Roromiya handles her so straightforwardly, and so easily. It’s nice to see Ririchiyo growing in that way, as well.

Next there’s Roromiya and Watanuki. They are absolutely adorable. And Roromiya is still quite possibly my favorite character. I just love her—she steals every scene that she’s in. The romance between the two is still budding, and I’m really excited to see it bloom. Watanuki is just so sweet with her, so shy. Roromiya pushes him in just the right way. We got a whole chapter to them, and it was so sweet.

I absolutely love the humor in this series. It just has me laughing and grinning through the whole volume. There are a lot of little one-shot pages, and pranks, and just plain the characters bantering and playing with each other. Plus, how the humor mixes so smoothly with the serious scenes and the serious messages. It’s so well-done. For instance, several times throughout the volume, there were hints of something to come, which I’m assuming is in the next volume. I’m really intrigued by that.

I’m in love with this series, and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next volume.

First, you cannot judge this book by its covers. The story is not nearly as suggestive as the covers would imply. And, in the case of this cover, there is zero romance between these two characters shown.

But, there is romance in the series - really cute darling romance. Ririchiyo accidentally confesses her feelings for Miketsukami, and I loved every panel of her awkward breakdown when she realized what she had done. Things settle down, though, and we get some time to learn more about the other characters, including my favorite wannabe delinquent, Watanuki.

This volume is a little bit all over the place (first chapter excepted), but there is also some dark foreboding for our characters - a sense of the calm before the storm. But, I think it's time for things to be shaken up (I also have heard a little bit about what happens, so maybe that's prepared me?). Regardless, I'm looking forward to reading more when the next volume is released. Recommended.

(stejná recenze u všech dílů)
Teda až na poslední díl, ten to naprosto zkazil, protože má žluté okraje a název, což nemá žádný díl, a bílé pozadí.

Inu x Boku breaks the mold in the kind of shoujo I like reading. One, it is Ecchi, but somehow, I do not mind it very much here. I guess it is because only 2 girls have big breasts, and there are not a lot of panties showing. Two, the main 2 characters, Chiyo and Miketsukami, are already dating in Volume 3, something that in other circumstances it would have been too fast IMO, but as they have met long before the story started, it is OK. Three, I do not like Lolicon at all, but again, in this manga, I accept it almost without any problems, cause Chiyo and Mike are just delightful together (and I say almost because Chiyo is just too small, and I will have appreciated if it were the opposite).

I have finished watching the anime, and in this volume, there are the last chapters, like when the people at the Mansion made the Capsule Time -my favorite chapter in Vol. 3- and Chiyo confesses her feelings to sweet Mike. The other couple I find cute is Watanuki and Karuta. He is so funny trying to be a delinquent, and together, they look superb.

I don't think that there are too many characters at all, as I have read in a few reviews. In fact, I like each one of them. Everyone is funny, and handsome, and crazy. None one of them is normal, each one seems to have a twisted mind. I enjoy reading/watching this manga/anime a lot. And a big plus is the art (the hair, the clothes), and don't let me even start describing Miketsukami, who is rather crazy but a real hottie -like when he is wearing his glasses! or in his other form! or smiling!- (another chapter I loved in here was when he fought Chiyo so she would not go to work).

There are some scenes that did not make much sense, but they were funny, and when you like the characters so much, what does it matter?

Karuta and Watanuki's relationship is the cutest thing ever!

Watanuki is such a good person, perhaps this is why Zange chose or accepted to be his body guard.

4.5 stars for this! Loved it and I really need volume 4. I've heard rumours about what will happen and I hope they are true. I guess I'll just have to wait until Waterstones get the next one in. ;)

I really love the characters progress from the first volume. I didn't really like this at first but I can see how the characters are getting better and more free reading. They have a better flow.
