I’m a part-time writer with full-time dreams. I love writing romance and I love putting part of myself in each of my characters. I love reading just as much as I love writing and sometimes I get so caught up in a book I forget I have to write my own. I have a teenage son who only needs me for money and food, a typical teenager. Laya is my fur baby, she is consistently glued to me.

Omg I absolutely loved everything about this book. If you’ve every wondered what Roxy and Kayla’s story was then this is the book to get your teeth into. We learn all about how they meet and what they are up to now. It’s a true page turner. Well done Poppy Brooks. 5 Stars

I love how this story takes us back to the beginning of Roxy and Kayla, giving us a background of how they meet and fall in love, then progressing to the now and becoming parents. How that works and which direction they go for the father. Mostly a sweet nd romantic read but there is as always that suspense element in the form of Kayla's job and a family she works with. I can actually see this threat being a real life thing for those dealing with people in this situation, it must be a real risk. Loved the story.

I am in love with this story, Roxy and Kayla are getting their story here. The sparks were flying and it is very sweet book. A little bit of suspense and the story how they met and get to know one another. And they are getting a baby, is it going to be a boy or a girl. This was a great read for the SSW.

Roxy and Kayla are two of my favorite characters in Samantha Cole's Trident Security series and Poppy Brooks has written their story perfectly. It was excited to go back in time and see how they met and how their relationship developed. The story was so much more than I expected and I totally loved it!! Well done, Ms. Brooks!!!

Loved It!

This was such a heartwarming and heartbreaking story. In a flashback story while Kayla and Roxy are waiting for pregnancy news, we learn how they meet and ultimately how they stay together, get engaged, married and ultimately starting a family. The social worker Kayla meets pediatric doctor Roxy during a case Kayla is involved with. I loved the chemistry and instant love between Kayla and Roxy. The love and respect these two had for each other was so honest. Roxy’s BDSM lifestyle had intrigued Kayla and had her interested especially with how she is with her feelings for Roxy. With threats being made towards her regarding a case she is working, Kayla is staying with Roxy. As they become closer and each learn about each other, Roxy also is trying to keep Kayla safe. When tragedy hits, the love between Kayla and Roxy must hold them together. The story takes you through their lives and it becomes a love story unlike any others. Great Read!

This is a nice little novella telling the story of Roxy and Kayla. They are awaiting word from their doctor regarding the success of Kayla’ in vitro procedure. This book has suspense and drama as their courtship plays out due to Kayla having a stalker. Mistress Roxy has her hands full as she introduces Kayla to the lifestyle and the Domme has to convince her subby she is beautiful and worthy of love.

Oh my, wow! This is a story I’ve often wondered about. Wonder no more! Kayla and Roxy are absolutely rocking it together! Kayla knew from a young age that her Zpsth wasn’t like her mother’s . She had bigger dreams of helping people and being there for children. Roxy is a Pediatric Dr. when she sees Kayla in her hospital on a case. The Sparks fly and oh my! I’ve long have been curious and this story had action, steamy love and love that lasts till your old and gray. Love is a wonderful thing. Any shape, size or variety! I hadn’t read any of Poopy Brooks books until this. I must say she’s a Wonderful addition to the SSW Family.
Samantha A. Cole’s world is a celebration of life, love and all there is in between.

I am so used to reading M/M books but the F/F genre is short of quality reads, ( That was my opinion). Not anymore, this book takes us on a reflection of how Kayla and Roxy not only meet but reach the point of planning not only a future but a family together. Great world-building as well as interesting side characters and a storyline that keeps you interested till the very last page. Loved this book and will happily read more by this author

I was so excited that I finally got to read the story of Kayla and Roxy. I love these charcters in the Trident Security series and always wondered about their background. Kayla goes through quite a bit in this story and Roxy is there to help her through it. Just like the Don she is.

The story was interesting and captivating in most parts. There were just parts that sometimes didn't hold me. Or this would have been a 5 star read for sure.

I really hope you enjoy reading this book.

This is book is so much. We get way more in this book then I ever thought we would get. Kayla and Roxy have such a beautiful story. Not only do we get there present story but we get some of there past and how they meet. I wanted so much more of this story. This author did an amazing job with Samantha s characters and I am definitely hooked on a new author.

Becoming Hers is part of Samantha Cole’s “Suspenseful Seduction World”, it’s written by Poppy Brooks and features Samantha’s characters, Mistress Roxy and her wife Kayla. I’ve loved these ladies since they were introduced in Leather and Lace, and was hoping for their backstory. Poppy wrote a wonderful story about how these two amazing women meet and fall in love. It’s a novella, so it’s on the shorter side, but it doesn’t lack anything!

I have followed Roxey and Kayla through all of the Trident series, and I am so happy to finally read their story! My heart broke for Kayla in this story. Nobody should have to go through what she went through, but she is such a strong woman, with a beautiful, strong Domme by her side to remind her of that. Loved it!!

I have have always wondered how Roxy And Kayla got together and plus I absolutely loved them both in Samantha's Trident Security Series and let me just Poppy Brooks did one heck of a job with these ladies. Bravo 👏 loved it. While waiting on lab results to see if they were going to be starting a family Kayla takes a trip down memory lane and you are going to be in one heck of a surprise looking back on it. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into their lives and absolutely loved it.

A bit forced and a little out of character if you are familiar with Samantha A. Cole’s Suspenseful Seduction World (SSW). Roxy comes on very strong and just all knowing. There is a balance between protection and dominating and that seems to be missing here.

The book does bring in Roxy’s and Kayla’s past and present. And if that is something you are craving, then don’t let this review dissuade you.

The author shows the struggles and you get your HEA without reading what’s already been written in other SSW books.
