Hello to you! We are Kate and Jol Temple and we write silly books for kids! Some of them love to rhyme and others do not at all but all of them have pictures, because pictures are cool and anyone who says they're not is a two headed yeti. We live in Sydney with our human sons and a dog that thinks it's a raccoon.

We love to visit schools. We talk about and read picture books to little kids preschool through to junior primary. We also love to talk to bigger kids about our chapter books and what it's like being a writer. For more info about our school visits contact us and we'll be in touch.

Last year I bought a copy of Funny Bones, mainly because the royalties from the sales go to War Child, but also because a few of my favourite authors had written or drawn, something for it. Then I put it in my “To Be Read” pile and there it stayed until last week, when I was feeling down and needed a good laugh. And that is what I got!!

Funny Bones is a hoot! Loads of poetry and short stories and cartoons. And many many many fart jokes along the way. Children will love it to bits! I guarantee it.
The good thing about it is that nothing is very long. If you don’t like one thing you can simply move on to the next. There’s sure to be something there for every child, or adult, to like. Did I mention all the bodily function jokes??!! Ha!
Funny Bones is a large collection of stories, poems and cartoons, aimed at children, but funny enough for adults too. Perhaps adults and children could read them together.
Royalties all go to War Child, so you’re helping someone else whilst having a good laugh. It’s worth it.

I personally didn't like just because it was too young. There is a mix of silly short stories and comics and I would recommend it to kids aged 6-8.
