Linc’s always had two loves - music and me. When his big break comes, though, it feels like he’s going to have to choose. I can’t be the one to hold him back so I’m going to keep a secret. He’ll hate me when he finds out, but I can’t crush his dream.
I’ve only ever had one love - Cherry. She’s the heart of my songs, the beat in my melodies. If I have to choose between music and her, she’d win every time. When my music blows up big on the scene, I need Cherry by my side. Only this time, she’s reluctant to leave home. I’ll need all of my songwriting skills to convince her that my guitar only sounds right when we’re together.
I love Ella Goode. Her books are safe, sweet and steamy. This book was great. I loved the angst, the misunderstandings, the secret baby trope. Hero and heroine were lovable and so in love. Totally safe: no cheating, they were both completely faithful. Some other man and other woman drama but it was all a big misunderstanding. Adorable HEA with their baby girl and pregnant heroine!
I am not into rock star stories but this one was fab! Good job Ella! ❤️
This was very high school/adult vibes with little steam and few drama.
Linc and crew are living up being a band with concerts at their local small town bar. And he has everything he wanted his music and his girl Cherry. And they get a surprise thanks to Cherry a record company wanting to sign them. Now Cherry and Linc have to deal with long distance, rumors, and more distance from eachother when someone is sending Linc pics of His girl hugging a guy (her new bff who's gay) and Cherry seeing stuff on social media of her boyfriend drunk and at a strip club.
Now this is where I was meh or confused if he ever did cheat? Since he was drunk he had a dream now was that a dream or did he dream sex someone? He said he never touch anyone it has always been Cherry. But I think the author would have said if he was sorta taken avantage of at the strip club by a stripper. So I'm have faith and say he didn't cheat or keep it idk? Cuz idk really? That part was confusing hopefully when someone else reads it they can help me with that.
Now cherry has their daughter (secert baby trope she did call him but manager was a dick) to think about and i do wish Linc groveld more.. also those friends of their have to grovel to. Fame changed those friends to and didn't even call her to say "hey who is this guy?" To tell Linc hey its nothing.. drama for drama I say.
Low angst, Slight ow drama (ex class mate and stripper) and no om drama, tiny drama, secondary charas, sexy times, no virgins

Enserio, me dio bronca.
Well damn that was just a mess. I absolutely did not like this book and I wanted to dnf far too many times. I’m so sick of the ‘misunderstanding’ trope that causes something horrible to happen, usually a breakup. A simple f#ckin conversation is the one thing that can clear things up but of course do the characters do that, of course not. It all starts getting bad when the heroine time and time again does not tell the hero she’s pregnant with his kid. The hero is out in LA with his friends and band mates getting a record deal all because Cherry the heroine sent their music to the right people. ThIs is the same hero she’s been with since forever and the two are so absolutely ridiculously obsessed with one another and in love. She then doesn’t tell him she got a full ride scholarship to a local college and doesn’t plan to join him in LA. Doesn’t tell him she wants to go to school to become a nurse, something she will later totally change her mind on and realize is not what she wants. She doesn’t tell the hero she makes a new friend, a male friend who happens to be GAY. Everything goes to shit from here and their real ages of 18 are showing. While the hero was so quick to jump on a plane to see his girl because he missed her, I’m supposed to believe they’ve been together since they were basically kids and love each other so much, that they break up by a few texts. All because of a picture showing the heroine with her new make friend that the hero and his friends misinterpret. Neither one asks questions or tries to do anything to work it out. 😐😐 On that note, his friends/band pissed me off something fierce as well. The heroine was basically their manager back home, is even the reason they are all in LA getting a signed record deal. And what do those friends do, they too immediately think the worst and repeatedly try to convince the hero to move on and think the worst of her. Thought they were supposed to be her damn friends too, thought they knew her so well? Even with the breakup does the heroine try and tell the hero throughout her pregnancy, “hey you’re gonna be a dad.” She sure doesn’t. What’s worse is she finally gives in near the end of her pregnancy to call and the stereotypical-and I'm not surprised at all-manager answers and never tells the hero she called or that he’s a dad. Apparently him questioning the paternity of the baby also caused the heroine to go in to early labor 😳😑😐😑.......... A year passes by. An entire damn year before the hero and his band return home. It’s of course a-super cliched small town scandal and gossipers will have material for weeks. Accusations are thrown, the truth is revealed and blah blah everything’s perfect between them. What in the utter hell?!?! The epilogue came out of nowhere and the heroine is just happy living and loving her life with her rocker and his band mates. She decided after one semester being a nurse was just not something she wanted. 🙄 We get no closure on his band mates apologizing. But ooh they have another baby on the way. And sadly I didn’t even care, these characters did nothing but piss me off. Just NO

This is not the usual laugh out loud story from this author. It makes you cry and is angsty. Some parts between Cherry and Linc have you holding your breath. You just can’t believe what is happening. Great epilogues and HEA.

Young love. I love young love. These two fell in love years ago and are only now seniors in high school. Wow, right?!?! Cherry knew Linc and his band were going places. In fact, she’s the one who helped him and his band get seen by the right music label. And then a misunderstanding happens. *sigh*
Can these two stay together through stardom??? Yes! Ella Goode only writes HEAs! I highly recommend this one!
I hated this one. It was full of angst. I HATE angst. I read these kinds of books to avoid angst. Angst makes my heart and stomach hurt. This one was just one misunderstanding after another. And they lost so much time because of it! So stupid. Of course I had to finish it because I needed to get to the HEA to erase all the hurt but I still hated it.
3.75 stars ⭐️. An enjoyable read. The reason for their breakup wasn’t the stupidest but classic miscommunication and long distance. The MC’s connection and their love for each other was amazing. I didn’t like the MC’s friends and how they treated the heroine. They also didn’t have much depth nor did they apologize. Hero with the baby was so cute. Recommended.
I loved this story hard. It had everything I adore about a romance read. Young love at it’s finest. An unexpected pregnancy, a love lost but found again.
Cherry loved Linc he was her whole world. Coming from a crappy home with parents who didn’t care she clung to the love he gave her. They were a family.
Linc, his soul is connected to Cherry’s. She his reason to wake up, perform and breathe. But when the band he’s lead singer for finally gets their break it nearly destroys these two.
Misunderstandings and nearly a year is lost to them. But a love like theirs never fades. It simmering in the background until they find their way back to each other.
. . . #ellagoode #labibliotecadeisaoficial #recomendacionesliterarias #bookstagram #ellagoodebooks #quotes #wattpad #lecturasrapidas #librosinstalove #instalove #rockandrollbaby #libros
I’ve read this bad boy twice. I think I liked it most because I’d just given birth the first time I read it, and rereading it last night both reminded me of that time and reminded me how important my partner is to me.
I actually loved this super sweet read. It’s short, it’s cute and there’s a strong storyline. The teenage mistakes & lies almost win so the cute HEA was great.
This is one of those books I really wanted to see everyone grovel more than they did. Cherry hid that she was pregnant from Linc, why shouldn't she have to grovel for that? She decided to make a decision for him that in turn prevented him from being there for his daughter....and I'm sorry you can't give me the excuse that she decided to call him while she was in labor. That's lame! She should've told him way before then instead of hiding it because she thought he would no longer go after his dream career. Linc I think should've groveled more for not fighting for their relationship. I honestly felt that if he was so in love with her he would've found a way to make things work even from a long distance standpoint. The band mates, Benjy and Nick...Cherry always goes on that these guys were like her family and yet at the first sign of a rumor they turn their backs on her and then even try to convince Linc to move on by taking him to a strip club. I also would've like to know who sent the picture of Cherry with Brian to the guys? We never get to find out this information.
All in all it's an okay book. I'm not big on the hidden pregnancy tropes, especially ones like this where the woman does it because she's afraid to ruin his career...Grow up and let the man decide things for himself! It takes two to tango, it should take two to make the decisions.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book**
What an emotional roller-coaster Rock 'n' Roll Baby was! Cherry and Linc have been together for what seems like forever. High school sweethearts, with graduation almost upon them, brings massive change. Cherry has cheered on and been the manager for Linc's band from the beginning. He is content to let things ride and build a life in their hometown with Cherry. Cherry knows that he and his band are meant for bigger things. When she makes that happen, she stays behind to finish school. But when its true love, distance can't really separate them, can it? What an amazing story with characters I absolutely loved, six stars for Cherry and Linc!
So angsty. My emotions were all over the place. I've never read anything like this from this author. With that being said Ella has stayed true to her writing style. I loved this young couple. Even after all the misunderstandings they still stayed true to one another. I read an advanced copy of this book.
This isn't the typical EG story that is simply tooth achingly sweet, there's a lot moments in this one that really get you all up in your feels but regardless I love this author and this was a nice read.
Review: This was a fast read. This book was about high school sweethearts completely and utterly in love. Cherry is dating Linc, they live in a very small town that doesnt have to many options when it comes to what to do after high school. He figures he'll get a job at a the local warehouse and they will start their family. She thinks he has some serious talent with the band he is in. So she sends out letters with their music to get them noticed. Boy does it work, they instantly get picked up by a lable. The boys move to LA to start their music careers. Cherry finds out that she is pregnant but doesnt want Linc to feel as though he needs to stop what he is doing to rush back to her. Even though they talk all the time misunderstandings happen. Gotta have that drama. So this book is about what tore them apart and what brings them back together. Its a young adult book that does have its sweet moments and some more "mature" moments. Overall it was cute and easy read.
For being eachother's one and only, and apparently loving eachother that they would sacrifice anything to make eachother happy this book should've been one of my best reads. Instead it turned out to be a very frustrating read. The characters were very immature, which is expected for high schoolers. All they did was make eachother miserable and me miserable alongside them. What horrible character's. I hated their misunderstandings and lack of communication. For two people in love, they were so irresponsible with, and hurt eachother. And the friends who were so close to them, they actually play a crucial part in them breaking them up. What shitty friends! This book has, No Cheating, No OW / OM (but for the misunderstandings and miscommunications between them), Over a year's separation, Faithful during separation, HEA For all these above reasons I read this book, but it was truly a waste of time. I should be happy that they cleared up the misunderstandings, but by the end I really didn't care what happened to them. To conclude, this book just didn't make any sense for all the love they apparently had for eachother! I'm sad!
I liked this book for what it was, an Insta-lovey, quick read. This book had all my favorite tropes in these kinda stories, childhood sweethearts, secret baby and so forth but I did have a major problem with the "conflict" this book had. I feel that most of what happened when Linc went to L.A. could have been avoided if they communicated better with each other, also for Nick and Benji being good friends of Cherry they were kinda quick to throw her under the bus and forget about her. Another thing was Brian, while he was a good friend to Cherry he was horribly negative when it came to Linc when he only knew half the story before he was on the Cherry and Linc needs break up train. Overall this was the kind of story I was expecting and needing it to be when I read it, a cute story about childhood sweethearts that were torn apart by miscommunication when one of them made it big with a secret baby thrown in the mix.
°Each other's first and only °Switching POVs °High school sweethearts °OW and OM drama (the hero saw pictures of the heroine with a guy so he thought that she was cheating on him but he didn't know that that was her gay friend; the hero went to a strip club so the heroine thought that he'd done something with a stripper but he didn't touch anyone) °Separation: a little over a year - both celibate °I didn't like that the hero didn't fight for the heroine sooner, I also hated their douchebag friends, they should've apologized to the heroine °Weak immature MCs (I know they're young but the stupidity of these two was too much for me) °No cheating or scenes with OP °Surprise baby °Epilogue: around a year later

Cherry and Linc were together all through high school, they were very much in love. He and his band were destined for fame. Cherry made sure of it by sending out his tapes to record labels and one night someone showed up. I hate small town romance even wrapped up in a rockstar romance because the girlfriend always ends up hitting rock bottom. Sure enough same with this book. Her classmates are nasty to her, Linc and the band are far away and she’s pregnant so her dreams are basically in the garbage. Did I mention that she lives in a small town where there are no jobs and she has deadbeat parents? Luckily she gets a job at a diner and that family are really wonderful to her. The story is really good, in-spite of the situation I hate. I loved that he was faithful to Cherry, his love for her never faltered. I’m giving this book five stars and highly recommend it.
Loved the plot and the beginning however the ending seemed so sudden and rushed. He returns home after months of her struggling on her own. Growing and then raising a baby and you forgive him in a heart beat obviously I know the manager had something to do with it but still, not to mention there was no explanation from his shitty friends about how they up and ditched her when they heard rumours of “cheating”, weren’t they supposed to be friends to both of them. Seems like shitty friends especially when she was the one that gave them a career basically but yet she forgave and forgot. The ending to me personally was terrible, I would of liked them to all to have worked a bit for her forgiveness.
Cherry loves Linc and he loves her. But she knows that Linc and his band are destined to make it big one day. She helps Linc gain some traction until suddenly deals are being signed and tours are being planned. But Cherry has a secret. She’s pregnant, and reluctant to distract Linc with the news. The distance proves to be too much as misunderstandings pile between them. Months after everything, Linc returns to fight for Cherry and finds a big surprise in store for him.
I thought this was fun. I don’t usually really like musician romances because drugs, partying, and other women always seem to pop up. But obviously this is a safe read: both are virgins and don’t have any relations while they’re briefly away.
Won’t keep on my shelf though. Just wasn’t super memorable.
