Take a trip to The Italian countryside with Niccolo and Karina!!
Emily knows exactly how to write about Romance with hot sexy scenes and twists and turns to keep you want it to go on forever.Karina adores her family and the villa and estate that she calls home and takes much pride to make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands!!
Perfectly Ruined takes you all over italy and will make you feel like you are there experiencing things yourself.
Niccolo has a lot of passion but isn't quite certain where to utilize said passion.
Nic and Karina, childhood friendsthat are reunited after Nic goes to Italy to figure out his life.

Nic Romano has returned to live in Italy after begin gone for the last 4 years. He moved with his family to Boston …which he loved, being with his 4 Best Friends having fun, drinking and fighting…but his father didn’t approve of his friends or his behavior…so after Nic graduating high school and not attending college and not following in his “Father’s”....cough cough…footsteps and becoming a doctor his father sent him back to Italy to live with his Uncle and Aunt.
When Nic returned to Italy the first person for him to run into was Karina Vezzoni … who was no longer the neighborhood girl he used to tease….she was at first site his True Love. Can 4 years of separation turn your feelings into true love… destiny in just a brief meeting??
There had always been underlying feeling between these two but when you are 16 do you act in them? No....you wait and hope for the best. But when Nic finds out Karina is engaged to a man that he can see has no feelings of love for her in their first meeting will Nic try and show Karina his feelings for her? They start to develop a relationship but life just keeps getting in the way.
With Karina’s situation with the olive grove, villa, her Mother’s illness, caring for her mother and NOT believing in true love will Nic stand a chance in fighting for her? Karina only sees that Angelo is the right choice to take care of her, the business and her Mother but what she doesn’t see is that Angelo DOESN’T love her and has other motives in marrying her…steeling her business and villa.
Will Nic be able to show and convince Karina that he loves her with all his heart and that some way he will fight for her and make all her problems go away or will she finally see the light in what Angelo is doing??
I absolutely fell in love with Italy and the Tuscany area in the descriptions that Emily has in this book. Between the scenery descriptions, the shopping areas and the food’s I am in LOVE !!
You will not put this book down once you start to read it because the love, drama and betrayal will have you hooked from page 1!! I can’t wait for the next Boston’s friends story…Tomas !!

Set in Italy I knew right away I would love this book. From the culture to the food and of course the gorgeous sophistication of the Italian male. Niccolo returns to Italy after a 4 year absence. His father figured moving him back to Italy would set him on the right path but it wasn't the place as much as it was a person. Karina and Niccolo were childhood friends and he returns to find that she has grown into a beautiful woman with many responsibilities. A business she must keep afloat and a mother who lives with a temperamental disease. It seems it was perfect timing on Nic's part and thanks to his stubbornness or his love for the girl it changed not just his life but hers as well. Nic no longer wondering aimlessly through life has found happiness with the girl he loves and in a profession he is now making a very good living at. Which I think is all his father ever wanted for him to just have some direction and to learn to grow up. I wish I had a man who would fight to not just keep me in his life but protect my family at the same time. I love how all the childhood moments the will he or won't he came full circle. The moments on the bridge touch my heart (especially the ending). After all the betrayal and thoughts of not being good enough they finally found a home and a love in each other. What touched me most is the fact the her mother seems to be doing much better. I know how fickle a disease like that can be and the fact that Karina would have given up happiness to make sure her mother got the help she deserved...well I can see why Nic fell in love with her.

There is no denying Nic Romano is a Bad Boy. Drinking, partying, drugs, and generally not caring where his life is going, he is totally lost and confused as to his future. Lucky for him, his uncle in Tuscany is willing to take him in so he can evaluate his priorities and get away from his dad.
In this setting that is primed for change and new resolutions, Nic reconnects with his childhood friend Karina. The attraction he felt as a teenager growing up with her is once again ignited. Backdraft! This is when oxygen is reintroduced to a smoldering fire and the result is explolsive and a raging fire. The passion that ignites between Karina and Nic has these pages melting from the heat.
In addition to the love affair, we have a nefarious figure involved - Angelo. He is Karina's fiance and believe me, he is a man you will love to hate. I wanted to punch him out while I was reading how carelessly he was treating Karina. That, plus the fact he was man-handling her, drove the point home that this man could not possibly end up marrying sweet Karina.
The plot thickens and our lovers work together to uncover the mystery behind Angelo. You will have to read this book to find out how they outsmart this jerk.
As always, Emily Jane Trent delivers a gripping story full emotion and angst. The descriptions of the landscape and people of the region alone make this book worth reading. Tonight, I will dream of Tuscany, wine, and of course... Nic!

Another hot and passionate read from Emily that blows you socks off. Nic is one hot Italian stallion and the chemistry he has with his childhood friend after not seeing her in years is electric. Set in the beautiful Tuscan countryside Emily's descriptions make you picture the setting vividly in your head as you read, as if you are there. The book is full of the Italian lifestyle and sets the scene for Nic and Karina to fall in love. But this is not without obstacles, Nic has returned to Italy to escape his demons and Karina is promised to a man she does not love. Can Karina and Nic fight against the odds. A very scorching hot, passionate love story that you cannot put down. Well done again Emily.

Nic will steal your heart. He seems like a typical bad boy but then the layers are peeled and you find the damage that sent him down a path even he can't always explain. He returns to Italy and runs into his first crush, Karina, realizing those feelings for her never faded. Karina, duty bound to take care of her mother and the olive groves finds herself engaged to someone she doesn't love. I loathed Angelo as he pushed all my buttons with his conceited behavior. Karina seeing Nic again is electric, you can tell right away that they had a strong history. Emily Jane Trent takes you on their journey as they are both trying to find themselves and what their futures hold. Will they be able to find love at the same time?

What a nice read of Italy romance. Nic was the bad boy who left to go to America to study to become a doctor. He returns to Italy and sees his friend from the past all grown up.Karina was engaged to a guy for convenience not for love but to keep her family estate. Karina's mom is ill and her Karina's finance is also in the same business. She knows this is what her father wanted before he passed. At first I didn't think I wasn't going to like the story. Nic was hot. I didn't like Karina at first. I thought she was going to be a snob and a gold digger. But when the romance picked up, I was totally wrong. I couldn't put the book down. Good story.

I can promise to never claim not to be enthralled by Emily's books. They're hot and sexy. I have absolutely fallen in love with Niccolo, his love and passion for Karina has been straight forward. Though she was consumed with doing what she thought to take care of her mother and her Olive Groves and business. This only deterrent couldn't keep her away from Niccolo. Of course the ending was with a happily ever after. I couldn't be more pleased with the story.

I was given this book in advance for an honest review. At first it took a little while to get into it, but about a third of the way in grabbed my interest and just kept me wanting to read on.
I absolutely loved the last third of the book, couldn't put it down! All I can say is give it a chance it picks up, you just need some history which makes sense as you go on!

Emily Jane Trent always makes me feel like I am at every destination. This time it is Italy. I love Nic & Karina's story. The love they have it is undeniable. I just couldn't wait for them to be together. What an amazing story and loved the ending. Can't wait to read about Tomas
