I absolutely LOVED this book. The characters shine with so much personality and vulnerability--Hollyn Tate, especially. I don't have Tourette's Syndrome, but I identified with her in a rare way. There's great humor, heart, and, yes, HEAT in this story--everything you could want in a romance. I laughed, I sighed, I fanned myself.
Such a great book.

So lovable, easy to read and get invested in, hooked up with flawed, quirky, relatable characters!
When the end of the freaking disastrous year approaches, the best thing to spend your precious time is getting a feel good, sweet romance books like this, choosing “ Baby is cold outside” as background music, lying on the couch, sipping your martinis or your hot chocolate full to the brim with marshmallows, enjoying your quality time with a widest smile on your face! That’s what I did! I highly recommend it to you!
I have to congratulate the author for two things before talking about the plot. First: I’m so happy she chose to write about Tourette syndrome and gave us some many important information, how it affected her main character’s life, how it triggered her anxiety disorder. The disease affected character’s life dramatically but it didn’t define who she was. The author differentiated her character’s development and the disease’s effects adroitly.
The second thing is the author perfectly handled to light down her tone and switch into chic lit from steamy erotic romances. Her great sense of humor helped a lot to create this entertaining book.
Let’s take a look at the synopsis: Miz Poppy is popular reviewer giving so many entertaining details about New Orleans night life! But that’s just the online personality. In real life Miz is Hollyn suffers from Tourette syndrome and anxiety attacks, building a secluded life with less human contact. Throughout her life she suffered from humiliation, bullying because of her medical condition. So her logic simple: less human communication means less problem in her life!
And now her job is at stake because her boss wants her to do video reviews. At this moment her path crosses with the office coffee guy Jasper who is unemployed actor. With his help she can handle those videos and Jasper can get the attention he needs for his acting career, getting rid of living with his sister. The plan will save both of them but they didn’t expect to like each other so much. Love is in the air but both of their baggage’s will give them second thoughts. Maybe catching your own HEA starts with learning to love yourself at first.
Cute, emotional, entertaining reading with quirky but so much adorable characters deserved my four sweet, swoon stars!

this story is adorable. when i think of roni loren, i think hot, passionate romance stories with a really heavy tone. so it was quite a change to read something that is so light and romcom-esque. its really quite cute and i think roni pulls off the look quite well.
also, bravo for the representation. i think this is the first story i have read where the MC has tourettes and i love how its not used as a crutch for the characterisation of hollyn, but more of an meaningful portrayal of a life that some readers may not think about.
i also really loved the interactions between hollyn and jasper (but i do fall for the fake dating trope, so theres not surprise there). their banter and chemistry feels so natural and i truly believed in their relationship and connection.
overall, this is a great romance story with some laughs, a lot of swooning, and a really lovely message.

A book so good that it almost has you losing your mind.
I'm enamoured and in love.
"He wished he could lift the heavy weight of anxiety from her, see what was beneath."
I don't even know where to begin to decently explain how good this story was. But more importantly, what it meant to me.
Good storytelling should have you losing your mind. Good stories should consume you. But that feeling intensifies even more when you identify with the story.
I may not identify with the main conditions our protagonists were diagnosed with (Tourette's for Hollyn and ADHD for Jasper), but that didn't matter in the slightest. It's how they used that condition to their advantage, despite how crippling they might have felt or how much they might have been drowning in the noises of others that spoke to me.
The anxiety representation made me feel seen like nothing else.
I adore and respect the hell out what Roni Loren did with this story. The way she built it from scratch, raised and developed it, added layers and depth and individuality to paint a picture so vivid and alive... it was powerful. And I became more than invested.
I need to stop before this gets even more mushy.
But I loved it like an absolute idiot. My brain/heart will be scattered for a while.

I bought Yes & I Love You on a whim one day when it was on a kindle sale and I’m glad I decided to! It was quite the pleasant surprise!! This book is cute and super steamy, too! Two of the characters in the story have Tourette’s syndrome so I found that interesting learning bits and pieces about living with Tourette’s. Romances are often super predictable, as was the case with this one, but that’s okay because I very much enjoyed the road to the happily ever after! It was a fun one! There are 2 more books in this series and I am very much looking forward to reading them!!

The cover of Roni Loren’s Yes & I Love You looks so sweet doesn’t it? Well there’s a whole lotta heat behind all that sweet!
But the real question is, should you read it? Yes &…
- You’ll be treated to a romcom about a twenty-something woman with Tourette syndrome, which is very refreshing. Her facial ticks have prevented her from fully living her life, and it’s a pleasure to watch her come into her own and find acceptance through love and friendship.
- You’ll likely enjoy the comedy improv setting, which is where the “Yes &” title comes from. It’s an overall nice metaphor for life, too. Whatever is thrown your way, just say yes & go with it.
- You should be prepared that this is an open-door romance, so the naughty bits are quite naughty! Words starting with “C” that make me really uncomfortable are used a lot. In fact, Loren’s previous books are classified as erotica. I did not know that beforehand but sure do now!
- You might want to consider the audiobook. It’s narrated by Desiree Ketchum who does a great job with emotions, voices, and inflections. (Both the audiobook and the ebook are currently available on the Hoopla library app.)
Yes & I Love You is part one of Loren’s Say Everything duology. The second part, What If You & Me, is slated for publication this July and will follow Andi, a secondary character from Y&ILY.

Oh so sweet with just the right amount of heat!🌶🌶
Hollyn has been living a quiet sheltered life. She has Tourette’s which displays itself through tics when she is nervous. And people make her nervous. Her only outlet is writing as the very popular columnist known as Miz Poppy.
Jasper had a tough upbringing. Abandoned by his parents due to drugs he bounced from foster home to foster home until the Deares family finally called him their own. He uses comedy as his outlet. His dream is to be a successful comedian in improv…or maybe one day own his own theatre.
When Jasper takes over the coffee bar at Hollyn’s work they are both instantly attracted. Though Hollyn refuses to let him in.
I loved both these characters and cheered for them as their attraction grew! The author did an amazing job of handling the topic of nervous system disorders in this case Tourette’s . Once again I have been lucky to come across an original premise in a genre that usually follows a common formula.
Be warned. There is definitely heat between these characters and the pages!🔥
I listened to the audio version and was instantly drawn in by the narrator who did an amazing job of breathing life and love into these characters.💗
I cannot wait for book two of this series What If You & Me to be released! I’m already watching for it!

It's a good romance when you feel miserable after you've finished reading it.
So here I am, just a girl in front of a screen, trying to tell you to stop what you're doing and go read this book.
Feeling sad? Feeling romantic? Feeling horny? Check, check and check.
I was in for a cute and sweet love story, two soul mates falling in love and all that crap that makes me giggle and scream in my pillow. But the hot stuff really hooked me up because one thing is clear since the first chapter: Roni Loren can write.
So, if you're looking for something to warm you up on these not-so-cold days and nights, you've found it.
Hollyin Tate is beautiful, smart and a little bizarre due to her tics - caused by Tourette. Jasper Deares is also very attractive, funny and has a genuine heart.
They find each other and they start having fun. They fall in love. Happily ever after.
No drama, no weird triangle stuff, no “I-didn’t-want-to-kiss-her/him-it-was-a-mistake” kinda accident. Just two normal people trying to balance love and career in this messy world. But, most importantly, two people who know how to communicate.
For me, this is THE message. Being truthful to yourself and the ones you love is important, as also knowing what you want. But communication is the basis of a relationship and a lot of novels out there are just examples of what bad communication can bring. But not here, not for them.
Moral of the story: if something is wrong, talk to your partner about it; if you feel something, speak out loud; if you think something is off, make questions; if you’d like to try something, don't be ashamed of it. Just talk to each other and I promise you will save yourself a few sleepless nights.
Isn't it great to be in love? God, I'm such a hopeless romantic.

Miz Poppy is a popular reviewer. Everyone loves her reviews about the New Orleans night life. But what no one knows is that Hollyn is really Miz Poppy. When her employer informs her that she needs to add video content to her blog, it kicks her anxiety into high gear. Not only does she have anxiety, but she also has Tourette's syndrome.
When the new barista, Jasper Dears brings her coffee, things get uncomfortable and strange. Jasper cannot imagine what he did. But soon after their encounter, they meet again, and their friendship begins. Jasper is an improv actor who agrees to help Hollyn/Miz Poppy as he sees that helping her will be a win-win. She will do her video and he will get recognition as an actor.
As with most romance books, you know where this is going. The writing is on the proverbial wall. It is the journey that is important. I found this to be an enjoyable journey with two likeable characters who have their own struggles.
This book is a nice way to escape the world for a while. The author has a master’s degree in social work and put her knowledge and skills to use in creating a believable character with anxiety and Tourette's syndrome. One minor character in this book will be featured in the next book. You will have to read that one to find out who!
An enjoyable yet predictable read. I do like that nothing in this book felt rushed and the book did not end abruptly. That is my biggest complaint with romance books. I will happily read the next book in the series.

Yes & I Love You by Roni Loren is a cute romantic comedy about achieving confidence and fighting for what you want. Hollyn doesn’t have a lot of confidence and tries to stay away from most people. She has Tourette ’s syndrome which causes her to think that’s all people see when they look at her. Her best friend is always encouraging her to step out of her comfort zone which causes her to make a new and supportive friend. Jasper, an aspiring actor, starts an improv class and gives Hollyn private lessons to help her with confidence. Their friendship could turn into something more, but then Hollyn’s best friend tells her he still loves her. Who will Hollyn pick? This is a really cute story and I liked how it discussed Tourette’s. This is something I don’t know a lot about, so I found it very interesting to see how Hollyn felt in different. It was also interesting to see how different people reacted to her. Some people were awful but most people were supportive. Jasper wants to be an actor and is working on getting funding to start his own Improv club. He ends up with some difficult choices to make. I really enjoyed Hollyn and Jasper’s characters and their friends were also entertaining and supportive. I really enjoyed Yes & I Love You and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Desiree Ketchum and really enjoyed her narration. I am so glad I chose to listen to this audiobook.

Hollyn has written the popular Miz Poppy entertainment review column in New Orleans for years. It’s snarky, fresh and on point with lots of followers. In direct contrast, Hollyn’s private persona struggles to talk to strangers because of her facial ticks caused by Tourette’s syndrome. She’s working on her control and renting an office to practice her public interactions. The new coffee barista has her nervous but determined to interact.
Jasper doesn’t know what he said wrong to the pretty renter. When she spends the night in the hospital sitting by his side after an emergency appendectomy, he is committed to helping Hollyn overcome her worries.
Charming and poignant.
Hollyn and Jasper become friends and then lovers. He becomes jealous when her former love comes to town and Jasper becomes distracted by a Los Angeles opportunity.
I enjoyed the romance, the conflicts and resolution but my absolute favorite event was the introduction of Miz Poppy to the theatre audience. It was empowering and inspiring and bolstered Hollyn immeasurably. This scene had me crying.

He's also an improv actor with dreams of running his own theater. Through awkward encounters and witty banter, a steamy love story of the fake date trope ensues.
Hollyn and Jasper are likable and believable characters. They each have struggles they're trying to overcome, which gives the plot more interest and depth. The story also has a great message.
I'd never read anything by this author. When I stumbled upon this book and noticed Colleen Hoover's name on the blurb, I figured I'd give it a try. I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator did a fantastic job.

Hollyn and Jasper are likable and believable characters. They each have struggles they're trying to overcome, which gives the plot more interest and depth. The story also has a great message.
I'd never read anything by this author. When I stumbled upon this book and noticed Colleen Hoover's name on the blurb, I figured I'd give it a try. I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator did a fantastic job.

It follows Hollyn, the reviewer behind the enigma 'Miz Poppy'. Hollyn has been hiding from the public for years because of her anxiety and Tourettes. But when her boss demands that she reveal herself, she realises that she will need to overcome her fears. Jasper, an extroverted improv actor could be just the person to help her. They strike up a deal to help each other- and you can guess where it goes from there!
I was completely engrossed in the story from the get go, invested in the main romance, and I sympathised with the main characters. It was by all accounts a predictable, trope-filled book- but that was exactly what I was looking for! The additional layers of a protagonist with social anxiety and Tourettes made it feel more real and raw. The scenes about Jasper's improv were really interesting to me, and made what could have been an overdone story refreshed and fun.

The banter between our two protagonists was a joy to read. Their chemistry was palpable, the steamy scenes *chef's kiss*, and they clearly worked well with each other. I liked seeing Jasper help Hollyn step out of her comfort zone, especially because it was made clear that it was her own strength and determination that was the main factor. I therefore didn't think that this book fell into the 'cured by the love interest' trope which is always a good thing!
My only real complaint is the unnecessary love triangle that was introduced. I don't hate love triangles by principle- I actually enjoy them sometimes! But in this case I feel the story would have been the same, if not better, without it. I thought that character could have been really valuable for Hollyn's growth and just a good guy in general- but he was kind of ruined for me after that.
Overall, I was really pleasantly surprised by this book! I cannot wait to read the second book in the duology- or any other Roni Loren I can get my hands on.

I feel torn about this book because on one hand, I really enjoyed Hollyn and her development and on the other, I thought Jasper was a really bad love interest. This book felt to me like it was going for really adult, mature material but it almost read high school to me. The decisions that were being made had me rolling my eyes at times.
I had 2 main problems with this story and one of them was Andi. I loved Andi. WHY DIDNT WE GET TO SEE MORE OF ANDI? You're telling me that the main character comes out of her shell enough to make a friend and we only see her a few times? I feel like she was set up just enough to give her her own book but I wanted more of an actual dynamic between her and Hollyn.
The other problem I had was Jasper. Our hyper, fun loving love interest that fell really flat for me. He felt unsupported through the whole book but continually made decisions that impacted the people that were actually supportive of him. There were parts where he blatantly told us, the reader, that he was going to use Hollyn to get what he wanted to further his career. And I felt like we were supposed to feel like that was mature of him to put his career before a new relationship. I get it that that happens in life, but it didn't work for me in a romance novel.

4.5⭐️ So I am reading this series completely out of order and you know what? That’s okay! I really enjoyed book three (For You & No One Else) when I read it last year and decided to read this one next.
Yes & I Love You packs a heck of a lot of depth inside a book with such a fun cover. It covers topics like childhood trauma and bullying, ADHD, Tourette’s, etc. and in a way that that feels realistic and raw.
This book also takes the common trope of miscommunication and throws it on it’s head. Hollyn is one of the most outspoken MCs I’ve ever read and I loved the way she approached Jasper and called him out on issues in the moment, rather than letting them brew. And the steam 🔥. Woah the steam. If you like open door Romance, this is a great little steamy read for your Valentine’s Day entertainment.

Don’t let the sweet cover fool you guys!
This read turns up the heat with endearing and strong characters whose interactions kept me smiling. An MC with ADHD, others with Tourettes and dealing with social anxiety issues by delving into the improv world made this such a great informative & quick read written by an author who worked in the mental health field.
As always I loved the side characters, yes sometimes things work out a little too easy and there is a hinted at love triangle – but honestly ultimately the way it is handled and the characters communicate *chef’s kiss*…I kept fearing lack of/miscommunication and as we neared the close I really wasn’t sure how I wanted it to end! I haven’t read acquaintances to friends-with-benefits without one or the other already being lowkey in love prior to the start of the story, this was a refreshing change of pace in that regard. When I grow up I want to be brave like Hollyn – she’s an inspiration 🤩 (let's just pretend I am not already older than her 🤫)
I have already borrowed the next in the series from my library and cannot wait to see more of Andi as I too have recently fallen down the True Crime rabbit hole and am in no hurry to couple up lolz 🙃

I love when an author takes a condition not commonly used in books and writes a story around it. So far I've read this authors THE ONES WHO'VE GOT AWAY series. YES & I LOVE YOU is very different from that series.
Fear is there to protect us, but fear is also what gets us stuck.
Hollyn, a mystery reviewer writing as Miz Poppy, has Tourette's. Past bad experience made her withdraw from the world and only now she's, albeit fearfully, stepping back into it. A huge challenge is talking to people. Best case scenario is that she makes it to her office in the office building without being talked to. Andi, a true crime podcaster (and heroine of book 2), doesn't let Hollyn's tics and her closed-off-ness scare her away. For the first time in a long time Hollyn has a new friend.
There is also the new barista, Jasper, who thinks Hollyn hates him without realizing at first that scrunching her nose are her tics. Jasper is also an improv actor and I really loved to learn more about how they work. Hollyn's professional challenge to review on camera eventually brings these two together.
“Just be you. Because you are pretty damn spectacular, Hollyn Darling."
She is so brave, giving herself pep talks, gathering courage and coming out of her shell, step by step. Ultimately, Hollyn learns through her new experiences, with the help of her new friends and by taking a risk that her condition doesn't have to define her, that she has the power to define her new comfort zone.
People always saw Jasper as a little flighty, head in the clouds, going for the impossible without a proper plan and being too impulsive. Meeting Hollyn, spending time with her, falling in love with her he learned that this isn't necessarily a bad thing but he also learned that following an impulse isn't the same as listening to what your heart tells you. He made some major progress and I was happy how he passed his final test.
"Life is one big improv stage anyway. You’re only as good as the people standing there with you. And you, Hollyn Darling, are the very best.”
If there is one thing I had a niggle with, it's the introduction of a love triangle that didn't really add anything necessary to the story. I'd loved Hollyn's best friend because he was always there for her and after that I didn't like him much anymore. I also didn't feel any chemistry beyond friendship from either side so why the author introduced it...your guess is as good as mine. I thought it was a shame to make a perfectly good character look bad for no good reason.
Overall, this was a very cute story with quirky characters that'll grow on you fast. The tenderness between Hollyn and Jasper made my heart gooey - I marked so many beautiful quotes, I wish I could share them all. Niggle notwithstanding, I whole-heartedly recommend this first installment of Roni Loren's new series.

A NEW FAVORITE! HOLY SHIT, IT WAS EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD AND HOT.

I'm almost two-thirds done and I've run out of steam. The two reasons for that are subtle but interact poorly to make continuing uninteresting.
The first is that these two should be forming true and/or strong emotional connections by this point. They've spent enough time together and developed some hard-won intimacy and yet both are still at the stage where they're suppressing growing feelings. Those feelings should be there by now and it makes no sense that they aren't. Indeed, if they haven't developed the kind of connection that endures and cuts through their self-delusions at this point, they aren't going to. Which is to say that the author has stretched it beyond my ability to trust that there's anything "real" going on here.
And that plays poorly into the second problem, which is that the setting doesn't feel real, either. I keep waiting for Jasper to find out that he's being played by the childhood friend who reconnected out of the blue and is playing Father Christmas with the wish granting. He's both too generous and too put-together to just cut through Jasper's insecurities and hesitations and it feels like a setup. And an improv club in the French Quarter? I mean, maybe? But it's definitely not going to be a no-brainer investment pitch, I don't care how well-reviewed or how high the buzz is there aren't going to be people lined up to give Jasper money to make it happen. So I can't buy into the whole premise driving the story action.
And that's before you get to Hollyn trying to get bold enough to do her reviews on video. I'll admit that I don't know anything about Tourette's Syndrome, but I don't see her ticks just going away and I have a hard time translating her reviews into a video format knowing that she doesn't have control of the facial ticks that make her so insecure. Also, writing text reviews and delivering the content over video are two very different skillsets. I wouldn't see that working seamlessly even without the Tourette's thrown in for spice. You know what might work? Having Jasper deliver the content she writes. His ability to translate tone on the fly is shown already, so I could see them becoming an on-set team. But I don't see that happening. Does it? Any friends who've gotten to the end of this want to enlighten me? I'd love to be wrong and have that be the solution to their problems.
As it stands, though, my engagement finally dropped to a stand still and I'm going to call it quits. And I haven't even gotten to the whole sexy times gymnastics that made this seem like I'd dropped into porn-land. So that'd be a third thing that didn't feel like it'd work as given. I'll stop now. I'm giving this two stars, mostly for the creativity on display and with the caveat that I may get curious enough to revisit (and finish) the story and it could prove me wrong on all counts and stick the landing.

Oh good gravy - I was not expecting how sweetly this book was going to touch my heart!
When it was good, it was so, so good . There were literally scenes that lit me upside - heart aflutter, smile beaming, pulse racing. Moments that played out so vividly in my head that my body went into a full-on swoon. No lie, when it's good - it's like next level good.
That said, it wasn't a perfect reading experience. I felt like the first half of the book was a little slow. There were still these moments where I was pulled completely into the story, and I never - not once - wanted to put it down in favor for something else. But there were times when I found myself skimming past parts that seemed to drag for me, scenes that I felt like could have been told and not shown - possibly because I was so greedy to get more Hollyn and Jasper deliciousness. Basically, the pacing was a little off for me and it literally was the only thing that kept it from being overall next level for me.
Because, make no mistake, they are absolutely delicious together. I loved every single minute spent with their flawed, quirky personalities. Their unlikely connection piqued my curiosity, and their smart - sometimes sexy - banter charmed me completely. These guys. I loved them so much. I loved their story, the evolution of their characters, and the sweet, honest way that they loved each other.
Yes & I Love You was refreshing and original. It was smart, sweet, and steamy, and my heart wrapped around these characters and their adorable love story with reckless abandon. The ending was perfection and I'm ready to see what's next for this new series! ~ Shelly, 4 Stars

After a heavy dose of historical fiction and psychological thrillers, it was time to switch to something much lighter. Happily, I selected Yes & I Love You written by Roni Loren.
Hollyn Tate is a popular entertainment reviewer in New Orleans who writes under the pseudonym Miz Poppy. As a writer, she is smart, insightful and a bit snarky but in life, she keeps to herself. The social anxiety she suffers from is a result of having Tourette syndrome. Jasper Deares, a struggling actor/improv performer takes a job as a barista in the office where Hollyn works. After an awkward first meeting, a friendship starts to develop. Hollyn is attracted to Jasper but believes he is way out of her league. But Jasper has his own struggles too, they are just not visible as are Hollyn’s. And he is drawn to Hollyn. When Hollyn is told she will need to produce a video version of her column, she is mortified but Jasper offers to help prepare her. Jasper, in turn, is trying to get more exposure for his improv group and once he discovers that Hollyn is the influential Miz Poppy, he believes a positive review from her can make all the difference.
This is a sweet book with humor and warmth and lots of charming and witty banter. There is enough steaminess to be a warning for younger readers or if you don’t wish to read anything explicit.
Fans of rom-com novels should love this book and if you are not a normal reader of the genre, this might be a perfect book to read when you need a break from heavier books.

However, I wanted to try something different and decided to give it a chance. I am happy I did because I really enjoyed the characters and plot. The story was refreshing and I loved the main characters Hollyn and Jasper. Hollyn has Tourette's and social anxiety. She writes entertainment columns under the pen name Miz Poppy. However, her anxiety goes through the roof when her boss announces that he wants her to reveal herself and start presenting her columns on video. Jasper is a very social and outgoing actor in an improv group, and is going to start giving improv classes at the same office Hollyn works.
I loved how these two met and the development of their relationship was great. When Jasper finds out that Hollyn is Miz Poppy he wants to make a deal with her. He can teach her the tricks of improv, help her loosen up and move through her fear of being in front of a camera. Yes & I Love You by Roni Loren is the first book in the duology 'Say Everything' by the author. Everyone knows Miz Poppy, she is the vibrant reviewer of New Orleans. But no one knows Hollyn, the real face behind the media star.

This is my first Book where I have read the main character having Tourette syndrome and it is done so well. I liked how her weakness is used as a power and a perfect tool to build this love story. It helps young readers in excepting their flaws.
I was very much engrossed in the story from the start and it kept me up all night. I liked how the story moved with some laughs and lovey dovey messages in between. The characters are very well developed and felt just like us.

I loved the start of this book and the whole first half but then things went sideways in the second half, so an overall rating of 3 stars.
Still, I love the author's voice (here and in other books of hers I have read) and want to continue with the next book in the series.
This was a very interesting romance, a first for me in some ways. It's the first time I read a romance with an MC who has Tourette's. I can only judge the representation from an outsider's perspective and I would say it was done with care and compassion.
I am a fan of Roni Loren, her The Ones Who Got Away series is super despite the heavy subject matter it deals with. I had great hopes for this new series as well and while there were a lot of things that I loved about it, it also had a number of flaws in my eyes.
The start was great, Hollyn was such an amazing heroine. Her POV gives us a deep insight in her life and daily struggles with Tourette's and social anxiety. She is brave and determined, working to build her personal and professional life. She is so vulnerable, has scars from being bullied in school and then sheltered at home. Yet she is putting herself out there, doing things, taking risks, but also making grown up plans, acting responsibly. And she gets professional help for her mental health issues. And strong support from her best friend (more on him later because there is a lot to that plotline).
The hero, on the other hand, I have mixed feelings about him. Jasper is a struggling improv actor with ADHD. Hollyn finds very attractive, there is great chemistry between them. Neither of them feels ready for a relationship and they try things as friends-with-benefits, and naturally end up catching feelings.
I am convinced of his unconditional love, awe even, of Hollyn, but at the same time I can't help but feel that she deserved better, someone taking real care not to hurt her or make her life more difficult. Jasper came off as too immature, he was trying hard to be better, to act like a grown up, but failed repeatedly. He did a couple of things through the story that are inexcusable in my book and she just forgave him all too easily.
I also felt there is some issues regarding the balance of power in their relationship - she was an entertainment reviewer and a positive review of his improv group was make or break for them. There is this underlying doubt that he was with her only to further his career.
Going back to her best friend. I loved that she had a best friend who cared so much for her and then, boom their relationship took an unexpected turn that I was so annoyed with. I felt there was no need for it, it was unfair both to her and to him.
Overall, after a great start, this romance didn't go as great as I expected. The story tried to cover too many issues and some fell into the background, and ultimately the HEA was not convincing enough for me. I would say it is still worth reading this romance, even if for Hollyn alone.

What a wonderful surprise this book was! Hollyn and Jasper were so perfectly adorkable together and I loved their journey in Yes & I Love You. This was such a quirky and sweet love story and the ADHD and Tourette’s representation was done so well. The book had me laughing, sometimes cringing, swooning, and grinning ear to ear. These two complemented each other so well and I loved how they supported and believed in the other. I appreciated that they had a healthy adult relationship and that they spoke honestly and openly to each other about their fears, concerns, needs, and desires. Hollyn and Jasper showed so much growth throughout the story and I was rooting for them both individually and as a couple. I personally could have done without the plot point that unfolded with Cal, but I was glad it was addressed and resolved quickly. I really would love to see him get his own book in the future.
Desiree Ketchum gave such a fantastic performance! I loved her narration and was very impressed by her ability to voice a variety of characters so effectively and convincingly. This was an emotional story at times, but also one filled with laughs and love. Desiree Ketchum 100% delivered. I'm really looking forward to listening to her narrate the next book in the series, What If You & Me. Definitely recommend the audiobook of this one!

I really wanted to like this book because I found the writing to be unquestionably good and enjoyable to read, but that’s only half the battle won. Sadly it was the story I just could not get on board with.
The premise was what drew me in—Hollyn, a writer with Tourette’s meets Jasper, a confident improv actor who offers her lessons to help bring her out of her shell. With practice and guidance (and lots of sex?), Hollyn learns to gradually let go of her anxiety and not let her tics get in the way of future success. I’m dubious about how a sexual awakening can help to overcome anxiety over neurological disorders but went along with it because (a) I’m not a therapist and (b) sure, why not? How convenient if true. Apart from that, it really is quite a heartwarming glow up story and very much in the spirit of the 90’s romcom teen movies that’s referenced heavily throughout the book.
Jasper’s half of the deal sadly is unbearably shallow, I didn’t feel this was an even trade at all. He gets a “fake” relationship/friends with benefits arrangement, which is again mostly just sex (woohoo). Hollyn writes an immensely popular, anonymous entertainment review column, but he’s so honourable he would never overtly ask her to promote his up and coming improv group, until end of the book of course. The martyr thing made me eye roll hard, but his flakiness and unreliability totally turned me off. Hard pass on Jasper.
The plot is further convoluted with not just one, but two love triangles with annoying exes on both sides, if that makes any sense at all. There is a whole bunch of other really frivolous drama pertaining to career choices vs. true love. Yes yes, we know the old “you’ll resent me if you pass this opportunity up” push/pull. But this is romance, we already know there’s a HEA, so let’s just cut the shit and skip ahead to the grand gesture already!
The number of tropes for this book is over the top and the multiple conflicts were distracting. I really wished it was dialed down and focused on the characters’ love story more. Again, I like Roni Loren’s writing, it is lighthearted rom-commy and feel good, her love scenes are passionate, complex and wonderfully steamy. But even the steamiest sex falls flat when the chemistry between the MCs is severely lacking.

I fell in love with this book!
It's sweet, uplifting, funny and sexy, with two MC that you have to love and a well developed story.
I love Hollyn, she's so lovable... She's the star of the book. Her strength and her constant fight for self improvement are very inspiring and give her depth (and the book too). Jasper is great to but I think he's some kind of catalyzer for Hollyn to grow, his character seems a little weaker than Hollyn.
I liked the rest of characters (actually, almost every character is likable), especially Cal (will he get a book too? I hope so!).
It's my first Roni Loren book and I enjoyed a lot, it's well written and very easy to read. I'm looking forward to keep on reading this series and will definitely read more of Roni Loren.

Los protagonistas son adorables, especialmente Hollyn, que en ocasiones me ha recordado a Stella, la protagonista de The Kiss Quotient. Me ha enganchado, me ha evadido de la realidad y me ha dejado con una estupenda sensación de buen rollo y la sonrisa en la boca. A ver si me inspiro y le hago una pequeña reseña en el blog!

First, because we are so hungry for diversity in character representations I want to applaud the author for giving us that in our leading couple. The hero has ADHD. The heroine has Tourette's syndrome that causes her social anxiety.
Now, I can't judge is it done perfectly. But I appreciate it!!
Both are artistic. Jasper is an improv actor, extrovert, working at the cafe while pursuing his dream of owning a theater. Hollyn is an online reviewer of New Orleans nightlife and movie critic. She works in an office filled with all kind of freelancers where Jonas come to work at their office cafe.
Hollyn's boss wants her to reveal her online persona and Jonas struggles financially so when he learns that Hollny is the elusive critic Miz Poppy he proposes a deal. He will help her to relax around public speaking and while being recorded, and she will review his improv group that should help him with promotion.
Of course, romance blossoms between these very opposite characters, and we get epic grovel & romantic scene, complete with sweet HEA.
