Slow ramp-up to super hot ending!

This was a pretty standard romance trope, the mafia/gangster captive romance. Though there are a few twists, one of which is that the gangsters are twins and polar opposites. No this is not a ménage book, but the twins are both broken in their own ways. One feels all the emotions and the other feels none. Cole is a coke addicted player and he is the idea man and Cillian is the emotionless twin who does most of the work at their club and takes care of the drug shipments.

The book takes place in Scotland and First Minister Ford is planning to pass a bill that would legalize drugs in Scotland. This is death to the business of drug dealers because it means drugs would be taxed by the government and have to go through legalized measures. People wouldn’t be going to drug dealers for their product if it is being manufactured and/or sold by factories and pharmaceutical companies.

The Hendry twins own a nightclub which does well, but is basically just used to clean the money from their drug business. So Cole comes up with a plan for Cillian to lure the First Minister’s daughter Meisie to the club and use her against her Mother to force the First Minister to vote against the bill. Cillian has been messaging Meisie through a dating app. Though since she passed on his profile, he had to set up one as a Justin Bieber lookalike and he has told her he is a bartender at the club he and his brother own.

“Now I just need to make a girl who came here looking for Justin Bieber want to go home with a six-foot-six, two-hundred and forty-pound reprobate, who’s at least ten years older than her.”

Cillian kidnaps Meisie and keeps her in the basement of his house which Cole turned into a sort of BDSM dungeon, though I wouldn’t not say the book should be considered BDSM. Cillian uses the cuffs that are attached to the bed to keep her in place but more from a kidnapping standpoint than anything else. Meisie has some issues of her own due to a past incident and has PTSD. So the interactions between the two are strange but I like them.

Remember that Cillian has no empathy and doesn’t feel emotions (while Cole feels too much). However, Cole is actually the darker of the two, he is an addict and he usually gets all the girls. Cole comes up with more ideas of how to use her against her mother. Cillian can’t figure Meisie out and he is attracted to her. He starts to feel a bit protective of her.

I don’t want to give anything more away, but to say that I really like Cillian. He is pretty awesome for a guy without empathy. Also just because he doesn’t feel emotions doesn’t mean he is a psychopath. He has his own code of ethics and I liked the way he treated Meisie.

As for Meisie, I liked her but she is a bit out there. She is young and has had some bad experiences so she thinks she wants to do one thing and changes her mind when things don’t go exactly as she expects. Also she hears the voice of her psychiatrist in her head all the time, which is pretty funny.

I wish the next book was out already because this one ended with quite a steamy cliffhanger. I loved that last scene and want more.

NOTE: July 14 - Esme Devlin and Logan Fox combined to create the author Ariana Black. This book and its 2nd part are also combined to create the book Beautiful Scars.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

She needs me to be the bad guy. Because the demons in your mind can’t bother you when you’re busy fighting the one in front of you.

This book is all the way messed up, but also oh so good! Admittedly the start was a little all over the place, but I quickly got into the flow of the story. It’s like captive and smutty romance at its basest, but at the halfway point the suspense and emotions start to kick in at a steady pace. You start to feel more and more for Meisie, and start to peel back the frozen layers that make up Cillian.

I’m intrigued by these two, and the rest of the characters. Can’t wait to read more of their story!

Logan Fox and Esme Devlin have teamed up for a delicious new dark story that’s right up my alley!
So when i read the blurb for Fearless and was offered the chance for an arc,i didn’t have to think twice about it and signed up immediately.

It’s set in Scotland and tells the story of Meisie, the PM Ford’s daughter, that gets caught up in a battle between her mother and the Hendry twins,Cole and Cillian.
Cillian is the worker, and Cole is the brains.
So,when Cole thinks up a plan,Cillian is the one to put it in motion.
They decide to kidnap Meisie to force her mother to abandon her plans to legalise drugs.
Cillian is the one that has to execute it,and whilst everything goes to plan,Meisie somehow gets under his skin.
There’s something about her,something vulnerable,something.....broken.

Meisie has had enough trouble for a lifetime, and decides to try and live a little.
Getting away from under her mother’s thumb for a bit sounds like a good plan and a date is the way to do it.
Only, her date isn’t there, but this intimidating man is....
Things go south pretty quick and she ends up being Cillian’s captive.
He frightens her at times, but not as much as his brother does.
At the same time, she feels a pull towards Cillian that seems hard to resist.
If only he didn’t promise to break her completely and build her back up to what he wants....

This first part of a series is a slow build in the sex department
But there’s enough heat between Cillian and Meisie to keep you entertained, don’t worry!

And even though Cillian and Cole are the villains,PM Ford’s behaviour is not....very motherly.
So,at the end of this first part,i’m left wondering which way i’m prefering this story goes.
I hope i don’t have to wait tóó long to find out.....

Loved it!

Loved It!!

4.5 stars

I looove age gap Trope! I love a dark Male lead! I love a strong female as a lead girl! And I found all three in Fearless. I loveeed this!

Cillian would go on my list of hot, dark, sexy book boyfriends! I was left wanting to know more about Cillain’s past. Why did he became the closed up, empty shell he is? I usually dislike when Male lead characters have this fucked attitude because they think life owes them something because their past life wasn’t as great. But with Cillian it left me intrigued, what happened to him and his brother that they end up being the men they are.
And don’t get me wrong Cillian won’t be your typical Prince Charming, or the hot quarterback that authors write about and title them bad boys or dark but are softies only because they curse and have slept around. Maybe authors are confused those are what we call fu@@boy lol. Cillian is more like Villian. AntiHero! So don’t say I didn’t warned you.

MeiSie, OUR GIRL! Loved her! She was a real bad ass! She never tuned down her attitude towards the ML she kept strong and fought every chance she got. I want to know more about the plot twist the authors threw at us. I felt so bad for MeiSie. MeiSie isn’t your typical so called badass lead girl that you end up hating because you go in reading a book thinking you will read about a girl who won’t fall for hot sexy words but end up being weak in the knees with just one wiggle of mister down there. Not our girl! She didn’t let that from stopping her rage and anger. Loved her!!

Cole hmmm I can’t say much about him because he felt more like a secondary character, maybe on the second installment we get to read more about him.

Re read? YES
Recommend? YES
Overall? I LOVED THIS!

This was an intriguing book. While on the surface it appears to be a captive romance, there is so much more beneath the surface and it is almost a reverse Stockholm Syndrome with the captor Cillian becoming more and more empathetic to his captive Meisie while her story is revealed in minuscule pieces through her imagining what her psychiatrist would be telling her. Then there is Cole who is supposedly the ‘smarter’ twin, but who is too strung out to be of any help. Sally who was Cillian’s first but as so often happens chose Cole, is also not what she seems and I am sure there is more to come there and who remembers to social distance. Finally, the target of the whole abduction, Meisie’s mother who at first seems to be the coldest, most heartless mother. It is hard to imagine that the légalisation of drugs could trigger such an emotional response but the emotions are changing and feelings are beginning to develop.

Cillian And Meisie's Story Is About Two Severely Damaged People, One A Criminal And One A Victim Of Crime, Who Begin To Inadvertantly Heal One Another When Circumstances Force Them Together. They Have Great Chemistry, And The Suspense Keeps You On Your Toes Throughout!

This is the first book in the Lethal Addiction series, a dark captive romance series. It is the first book of Cillian and Meisie's story. It ends in a good place, but it is neverthless a cliffhanger.

Club Asylum is one of the hottest clubs in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Hendry twins, thirty-two, opened it three years ago to rinse their dirty mafia money, but thanks to the GBX music and hypnotic atmosphere, it has become a success in its own right. Despite the club's popularity, twins Cillian and Cole aren't happy. The new First Minister, Helen Ford, is determined to make changes that will impact their bottom line. She has proposed to legalize drugs, setting Scotland's underworld into a tailspin.

The twins grew up in a world of crime. Their mother abandoned them when they were small; they have no memory of her. But they have one another, and despite their differences they are very close.

Cole is the designated 'clean' twin, meant to stay out of trouble, although he is nearly always under the influence of drugs. Consequently, his emotions sometimes run amok, and he is prone to wild and manic behavior. He goes through a new girl every month or two and is never satisfied with anything. He is the planner in the partnership, but his plans are often drug-inspired and crazy.

Cillian is the brother designated to do all the dirty work and is sometimes referred to as the country's most violent criminal. He rarely shows emotion and is not motivated by right and wrong, but by instinct. He lives in black and white, which makes it easier to be the emotionless bad guy that his job requires. He learned years ago that vices - alcohol, drugs, and women - might aid him in feeling emotion, but he has given them up because he always feels just as empty or worse once the vice has run its course. Cole needs him, and Cillian likes to be needed. And he always gets the job done even if Cole's ideas are sometimes over the top.

Meisie Ford, nineteen, wants to have a night of wild and rough sex with a stranger. That is what brings her to Club Asylum in search of Justin, the young man she met on a dating app a few weeks ago. Her therapist has suggested that she face her fear in order to get over her PTSD, and since Meisie's one and only one night stand had turned into an endless nightmare, replacing that memory is the way to go. She needs to finally get Alex Du Toit out of her head. Her entire life has been controlled, and now she is determined to take that control back. She never does find Justin, but Mr. Tall, Dark, and Arrogant - Cillian - has promise.

After three weeks of catfishing, Cillian's target enters the club. Cole's plan is simple enough. Get Helen Ford's daughter. Once the First Minister drops her plans, Meisie will be released. When he sees Meisie in the club with a lost look in her eyes, Cillian connects with her, which isn't part of the plan. She needs some kind of help, and he wants to oblige.

Cillian and Meisie are an unlikely pair, but once they shut out the outside world and begin to connect on a personal level, things are no longer black and white. They both have felt abandoned by their mothers, and both are severely damaged. They feel awakened by one another, but too much uncertainty remains for either to trust anything, let alone their feelings.

Cillian and Meisie's story is about two severely damaged people, one a criminal and one a victim of crime, who begin to inadvertantly heal one another when circumstances force them together. They have great chemistry, and the suspense keeps you on your toes throughout. It is well-written. The plot is complex and layered. The characters are nicely developed, but incomplete as of yet. More remains to be revealed in the next book of the series. The story story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Cillian and Meisie. I rate this book 4.5 stars.

I received a free advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love Bad Boy books.
So after reading the blurb I could not wait to read this story.
Cole and Cillian are identical twins that run and operate a profitable nightclub.
But it’s just a cover to clean their dirty money.
The twins are totally opposite of each other.
Cole supposedly feels too much.
Which might explain him almost always being coked out of his head.
And Cillian doesn’t feel anything at all.
He does feel hate though and has a hate list.
Kill does anything that will bring benefit to him and his brother.
My take on Kill is that he does feel but because of his childhood he chooses not to.
He has learned to shutoff his feelings.
Until Meise.
Meise is a beautiful nineteen year old that has been mostly sheltered her whole life.
She went through a traumatizing experience.
And has since been living a “safe life.”
When Meise decides to take a night on the town.
She ends up at Cillian and Cole’s club.
Not all is as it seems though.
I liked Meise.
I thought she was quirky and has sass.
The conversations she has in her mind between herself and her psychiatrist were so funny.
Cillian seems a very complex character.
Bits of him are starting to be revealed.
And I don’t think he’s the unfeeling man he thinks he is.
I love his interactions with Meise.
Some are intense and some are playful and funny.
I liked how he started learning and dealing with Meise’s personality.
I’m so excited for the next book after that whopping cliffhanger!

Loved the dark and twisted tale these two authors, Esme and Logan have spun together here. Although initially this may seem like a standard gangster plot it is not. Our MCs are all so twisted and broken it's difficult to know how this tale will pan out, violence is a given and if you have a sensitive nature the dubious sexual content may be outside your boundaries. There is both humour and tragedy contained within this story and I found myself changing from choked to grinning on more than one occasion.
This book grabbed my attention from the start and although not fast paced initially the tension grows throughout. The jury is still out where Cole in concerned, I truly cannot see what kind of man lurks beneath, is he evil or just plain broken? At this stage I wouldn't care to guess. As for Cillian, I think he may have a heart, it's just buried so deep he needs to find it again. Meisie appears to have some serious shit in her past and to be fair her mother seems to be the hardest bitch to have ever walked the planet. However, there is so much in this story yet to be revealed and Esme Devlin and Logan Fox are masters at sending you on a nail biting ride that you will not be certain of when and where it will end.
A well crafted book with great characters and tense plot that will keep you glued through to the end and waiting in anticipation for the next instalment.

This book was so intense and the tension between both characters is so tangible as a reader you can feel it bleed off the pages. It does contain triggers that some readers may not like, or it may not be something they grab instantly but omg the alpha hotness is too hot to resist. Cillian is a hard working “business man” that protects his brother and is out to make money, he is also an unemotional man which knows wrong for right but will not hesitate to do things wrong or right if it benefits him. He and his twin brother pretty much run their city running drugs, owning nightclubs, and doing what it takes to make money. Where Cillian is emotionless, his brother Cole is a mean ruthless, drug addict that will not hesitate to hurt someone just because he can. So, when Cole comes up with an idea to kidnap the First Minister’s daughter since she is interfering with their drug business, Cillian goes along with it just to make sure nothings goes wrong or Cole doesn’t go off the rails. Meisie has been through a lot in her life and is hidden away from the world so she cannot be hurt or interfere with her mother’s business. She just wants to be normal but that plans gets derailed when she is kidnapped by the Hendry brothers. Cillian finds himself feelings things for Meisie even if he knows things will not end well but that does not stop him from getting close to her while also having to hurt her. There were so many twists and turns and unexpected things that came up it had me on the edge of my sit waiting to see what would happen next. It does end on a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to see how it all plays out.

This was an enjoyable start to a dark-ish romance between the self-proclaimed emotionless criminal Cillian and the kidnapped first minister's daughter Meisie. Cillian and his twin Cole hatch a plan to kidnap and use Meisie in order to prevent her mother from legalizing drugs which would cut into their main source of income. This puts Cillian and Meisie on a collision course filled with secrets, past trauma, lots of banter and sexual tension. I liked both Cillian and Meisie. Meisie's internal dialogue is hilarious and Cillian is all growly alpha goodness. The story was slow to develop but ended with a bang. I'm looking forward to the next part.

I am in awe right now, as soon as I saw this in my email I clicked so fast to get stuck in!
And boy did I get stuck in, I completed this in one sitting, I could not put it down!
I love kill & meisie, I can see these two becoming a force to be reckoned with! The wit and puns gave me the giggles and then the next I had tears, I laughed and cried(just like the foreword said).
Such a great story & different from the usual captive genre. I can’t wait for the next part as now I’m in book hangover!!
Thank you for allowing me to be an ARC reader!

Wow wasn't this story an amazing dark surprise. Cillian is a dominant Scot who does and takes what he wants but he has a soft side as well. Meisie is a South African who has a heart breaking story and has unlucky found herself in Cillian's sight. I spent most of this book wondering if these two would kill each other or if they would go up in flames and by the end of this first book I had my answer. What an amazing story ladies. I loved it and can't wait to read what happens next.

Great start to a new series. Cole and Cillian are twins and unhappy about a new law in Scotland and so they decide to kidnap Meisie, the daughter of the First Minister to get her to vote in their favor. Soon sparks are flying between all three of them. Be advised this does end in a cliffhanger. Loads of steamy chemistry and plenty of drama. I loved the story and am looking forward to more in the series.

Maisie is a very strong woman with mental problems. Cillian is a cold hearted man, but what will happen when this ice starts to melt? It will be very exciting, you don't want to miss it!

Nothing gets me going like some mafia romance, and Esme and Logan hit us with a captive one at that. The blurb intrigued me- just WHAT was this story going to be romantically. We have loads of mystery, twists, some broken characters, and some steam in this series starter.

Hendry twins are mafia men with a nightclub lucrative drug trade they are trying to hold on to, despite political shifts- Cole is a drugged out player, Cillian is his emotionless and stoic twin. They hatch a plot to use the first minister’s daughter, Meise, as leverage to keep politics from interfering with their industry by a catfishing Justin Bieber dating app profile (chuckles). And, thus we have our kidnapping and captivity.

Meise has her own set of struggles- some PTSD and mental health issues. The dynamics here are interesting, dark and captivating. Cillian, our emotionless twin, starts to feel protective of Meise as Cole’s dark ideas start to develop- there’s a spark between these two, a chemistry and emotional connection we start to explore, made extra interesting by their own emotional challenges.

“She needs me to be the bad guy. Because the demons in your mind can’t bother you when you’re busy fighting the one in front of you.”

Cillian is super likeable, particular for a “bad guy” with no emotions. Meise is young and has a lot of emotional damage-which can make her a bit odd at times. The steam mostly escalates at the end, and we’re left with a cliffhanger. I will be checking out book 2 because I need more!

The story begins

Fearless by Logan Fox and Esme Devlin is the first book in the Lethal Addiction series. It appears that this may be a multi-author series but I am not completely sure. Also note that there is a cliffhanger to this book. In any case back to Fearless............
This is the first book I have read by this duo but not the first book I have read by Logan Fox. So after reading the book description I was intrigued to read this story. Identical twins Cole and Cillian Hendry are not nice people who own a night club. When they end up in a dispute with the First Minister of Scotland that they cannot win they instead kidnap her daughter, Meisie Ford. They hold her captive trying to get her mother to not legalize drugs in Scotland, as they make a lot of money. Meisie is held in their basement during all of this and before you know it an attraction is brewing and growing stronger each day and from every encounter between the men and Meisie. But it is Cillian, a very broken and soulless man, who really has the connection. Meisie is a bit messed up also so there is a bond that grows between Cillian and Meisie that is srong, intense and deeply sexual.
This story is definitely dark, definitely twisted, definitely not for the faint of heart and very sexy if you can get into it.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

The best laid plans… Story to continue

Meisie is a lost and broken young woman, coping with an indifferent, politically powerful mother. In fact, it’s her mother’s political intentions that have gained the interest of the infamous Hendry twins. When they try to influence her by abducting Meisie, they really should have done their homework first and saved themselves a lot of aggravation.

I enjoyed this well written mafia captive romance. The characters were complex and compelling. I enjoyed Meisie and Cillian’s struggles as each battled their demons while fighting the pull of attraction. There are some dark themes in this story along with plenty of drama and angst, some mystery, secrets, dirty talk and explicit encounters featuring elements of BDSM. I’m looking forward to the continuation of this intriguing tale.

I really enjoy Logan as a author so I knew going in I was going to enjoy this read. I was not wrong. Esme is a new author to me and I am going to have to see what she has written. That being said these two together are a good match.

In Fearless we have twins Cole and Cillian. The own a nightclub but it is really just a front for their dirty money and drug business. These two are not good guys. Cole is supposed to be the brains and feels too much. Cillian is supposed to be the workhorse and feels nothing at all. But when Meise is introduced, a beautiful girl who has had a sheltered life, but something traumatic happend that caused her to try to live a safe life. But little does she know that when she walks into the twins nightclub, that her life would never be the same again. They have a plan, one that she knows nothing about, but oh is she about too.

This was just a really great read, I kept having to read because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I don't want to give alot away because you will want to experience things are you read, but yeah you are going to become a fan of Cillian. I would highly recommend this read.

OMG! OMG!! OMG!!! Fearless by Logan Fox and Esme Devlin was a freaking PHENOMENAL story!!! I was immediately drawn in and hooked from the first page!!! It’s the Story of Cillian and Meisie (thanks for giving the proper pronunciations!!) Theirs is a complex story. She meets him online and he tells her he works at a bar. She decides to meet him there….but, things aren’t always what they seem…and she’s about to get the shock of her life. Not to mention the fact that his brother is involved. There’s much, much more to this story than I can possibly tell you here…but, this is an excellent story!!!

This story is dark, menacing, intense, romantic, and emotionally charged. I could not put this book down!!!! It ends on a fairly major cliffhanger…but, we were warned about that, so no problem. I HAVE GOT TO READ THE NEXT BOOK!!!!!!! WAITING IMPATIENTLY FOR IT!!!!!!

Logan Fox has done it again…never disappoints!!!!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Cillian and Meisie’s story it’s like a breath of fresh air. Their are so many twists and turns in this book I’m wondering how will it all unfolds. I love that Cillian tries to make Maisie as comfortable as he can while beheld against her will. He seems to understand her more than she thinks. I have to say that Meisie is no pushover, she is a fighter and seems to be getting stronger everyday. There are so many layers to her it’s hard to tell if Cillian will be able to heal her. I also, love that slowly Meisie is beginning to fall for Cillian. Above all I’m intrigued at how two broken souls finds each other appealing . I cant wait to see if The puzzle surrounding Meisie will come together. Mostly if Cillian will succeed in his task. As for her mother or egg donor She is like the devil himself. Ugh, this book is mind blowing and I love it.

Wow!! This book was steamy hot!!🔥🔥

I am blown away with how much I liked this book. These two authors teaming up was, in my opinion, a perfect combination. This book portrayed captive romance, which probably shouldn’t but highly turns me on. The slow burn of the events are what took the book by storm. I couldn’t put this book down, I just had to know more.

The characters, Cillian and Mesie, were so intriguing! I was instantly drawn to them and wanted to know more right after the first page. The chemistry between them is instant fire. I love the roles the supporting characters also add to the story.

I am definitely looking forward to more of this world. This was a fantastic introduction to these characters and I’m already counting down for more books in the series! I honestly need more of these characters!

Meisie is the Scottish PM's daughter, so when her mother has beef with Hendry twins, Cole & Cillian, they come up with a plan to kidnap her daughter. Meisie is sneaking out because of her rigid life for protection, and she thinks she's going on a date, however, it was a ruse so Cillian could take her, so it went south immediate. Now, she's being held captive, and yet, she feels a pull towards one of the twins, and he feels the same about her, but neither will admit to that fact. Fearless was a dark & twisty story with a ton of f-bomb worthy twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. Not to mention, I was so into the book that I found myself enraged quite a bit because these guys are no joke. Finally, this story ended on a huge cliffy, so I'm dying for the next book like crazy. If you're brave enough, hit those one click buttons as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

With the future of their business in jeopardy twin brothers Cole and Cillian come up with the perfect plan to get the leverage they need to ensure that doesn’t happen and they don’t care who they need to use or what they need to do to ensure they get the results they want.

Meisie is a politician’s daughter and an integral part of the plan. Cillian has been getting to know Meisie online and now that he has convinced her to come to the club they own he proceeds with his plan to abduct her and hold her prisoner. He expected her to be a privileged princess but that couldn’t be farther from the truth, let the complications begin!

Both Meisie and Cillian are compelling characters and the more we know about them the more we want to know. This story does end on a cliffhanger and I look forward to finding out what the future has in store for this couple.

Two of my favorite authors team up and write GOLD! This book was everything my little black heart could want.

I loved the way they wrote their characters and brought them to life. Cillian and Cole are our twins- They are nightclub owners and gangsters behind closed doors. Clllian was the twin we got to know the most and I am absolutely obsessed with him. Cillian, although has kidnapped Meisie, cares for her and is very protective of her. I feel sorry for Meisie and the trauma she has had to experience but I admire her strength. I loved the chemistry between the two and the humor.

This book was addictive and a prime example of “a page turner.” Once you start, you just can’t stop. These authors take Captive Romance to a whole new level that leaves you in awe.

This is a wonderful story that has a dark side but has suspense thrown in. It has two gangster twins that own a club where they sell drugs. These twins are polar opposites and one feels to much emotions and the other feel none. They have had a hard life and this has helped mould them. They take a young woman who has had a terrible past and they kidnap her and she gets drawn into the path of the twins. One starts to change and gets protective but will this help her? This was a great storyline and characters that will pull you into the story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This is Part One of the Hendry twins, Cillian and Cole and Meisie Ford's story. The story is addictive as it's sub-title. Meisie was kidnapped by the twins to send a message to her mother, a heartless politician. Do what we say or we'll do our worst to your daughter. Once Meisie is in Cillian's care, he realizes that she has been through a rough and tragic past. In fact, they are all broken in one way or another. What happens when they have used ever trick to get Meisie's mother to come to her aide and nothing works? What consequences will be taken with Meisie? The twins are loose cannons and will stop at anything to get what they want. This book is a must read and I highly recommend!

A dark and seductive book about Meisie (FMC) who ends up captive (through no fault of her own) of twin nightclub owners, gangsters and drug dealers Cillian & Cole. Two complete opposites of each other in character. Cole is charismatic, a player who a drug problem. Hes the planner of the two. Cillian is for want of another name the muscle of the two. He acts with his fists first. Hes also distant & unfeeling or he comes across that way at the beginning. Things change throughout the book or at least it felt like that to me. When the brothers plan doesnt exactly go to plan and they have to find different ways to get what they want. Three damaged people together makes for a compelling read. With a little bondage, teasing and sex as well it certainly kept me interested thats for sure. Oh boy that ending?? It was knockout! Im down the days until the next book because this one was killer. Loved it

This story is great with stunning characters that are so full of pain and anguish. Meise And Cillian are two characters that has so much chemistry that it burst through the pages. It is a little dark and gritty but not super dark. It is extremely well written and the storyline is exquisite. It is one that draws you in and keeps you guessing what is going to happen next. The descriptions are vivid and easily able to be pictured. I was captivated throughout the story and trying to figure out how it is going to play out. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next to these two amazing characters. Meise is feisty and sassy which make funny and sweet at times. It is a must read.

I've thought about how to describe what I've just read but all I can say it's a brainchild of two brilliantly twisted authors. So much more than a kidnapping story. Cillian had me pulling at my hair. He is definitely something. I know that I'm supposed to fear him but I feel we have just scratched the surface (or skin) of him.

Cole, Cillian and Meisie are about to throw secrets, twists, dark and unpredictable at you. Ready or not...they are coming for you.

This one does have a doosy of a cliff. I'm sure I'll be bald and need new fingernails by the time book 2 hits my reader. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Ms. Fox you have done it again!

Love, love, love this book!!! It’s dark, dirty, gritty and totally awesome! Love Meisie and Cillian. Love the whole storyline. Can’t wait for book 2 and it’s going to drive me crazy waiting for it to be released. This book is co-authored with Esme Devlin and I will be looking into reading some of her books. Keep the dark and twisted stories coming. I absolutely love them.
