Kate, daughter of a saloon prostitute, and Tom, brother of an outlaw, are each planning to escape dire circumstances. Thrown together, they pose as a married couple so they can travel with a covered wagon train whose leader only allows married folk and families.
During the trip west, the two must learn to trust and work together as they face hardships, bad guys on their trail, developing feelings towards each other, and a search for faith amidst their past life experiences and current trials.
This is a sweet, satisfying read, and I look forward to reading about Kate's and Tom's future adventures.

I had read "Pink Lady Thanksgiving" by this author, which was my introduction to Kate, and when I finished I had so many questions about how she got where she was in that book! I promptly bought this one to get my questions answered about how Kate and Tom got together to begin with.
This is a great story of new beginnings when you have a past to outrun (does that ever work?) and learning how to trust when it's not first nature....whether it's people or a God you just met. Highly recommend this book.

Change for the Better
I enjoyed this Christian romance about a couple, both coming from difficult backgrounds neither wanted join together. Will it pull them together, or will they tolerate each other only until they reach the end of their journey? The characters and their reactions were realistic. Interesting plot. Faith made the difference. A good read.

Kate
Another great book in the Prairie Roses series. Both Kate and Tom are on the run and looking for a new start. They pretend to be married so they can join the wagon train. Read their story about the struggles they endure and the trouble they can't seem to escape. This is a well written book with likable characters, that I think you will enjoy as much as I did.

Wonderful characters that capture your heart. A wonderful story of God’s love and redemption. A sweet clean romance that is all the better for enduring the hardships and trusting God. This is such a wonderful story!

Oh, but this story of Kate and Tom is a beautiful story of second chances. Delightfully told. I was hooked from the 1st page until the last. Not preachy but told how God could change lives and make them better. I loved the journey they both took. Both on the wagon train and in their personal lives.

I really enjoyed this story of Kate and Tom. Neither knew what God had in store for there lives. A fake marriage, stagecoach robbery turned bad, a hideout in a wagon train, leads to finding God along the way and true love. Great characters and storyline.

Christian Historical Romance
Aw, such a difficult start, but a blessed ending! I loved Anna's part in their story! Her mother like role was so necessary and her Godly counsel even more valuable! A tribute to Godly women everywhere!

Redeemed
Kate and Tom were both broken young people, who were alone in the world. Circumstances threw them together, and they went through many trials. But God got a hold of their hearts and love blossomed.
Very sweet and beautiful ending 💘

I enjoyed reading Kate, book 7 in the Prairie Rose collection. It was a good, clean, wagon trail romance. Very good.
