This was a fantastic family friendly biography of Christopher Columbus. Starting in his boyhood and ending with his return to Queen Isabella. Chapters weren’t too long and the story was entertaining! Anytime I had to put it down, I kept longing to pick it up and see what happened next! So nice to read a vintage version instead of our modern remakes.
Most people would say because of the Christopher Columbus found America, by mistake but if you read this but carefully you can see that it was no mistake that he found America.
I really do enjoy reading some of these books from the 1950s before political correctness took hold. I like the narrative flow of the book. It works very well to appeal to elementary students.
