What kind of crazy witch curses a diadem to kill people? Apparently the kind that founds small beach towns and makes iced tea and finger sandwiches for cocktail parties. Why am I not surprised? This is, after all, the south.
I admit I messed up when I dragged a sunken treasure chest to shore. I'll even take part of the blame for my obsessive-compulsive sister throwing them in an auction before I had a chance to check them for magical mojo. That doesn't mean I should have to deal with snobby socialites and the weak-kneed weenies that bow at their Prada-clad feet. Especially when said socialite is dead.
Actually, it does. Because I come from a long line of powerful witches and warlocks tasked with keeping magical artifacts out of non-magical hands. Our family reputation is sterling, but just like all fine silver and old families, there's a little tarnish here and there. It's what makes us good at what we do.
Now I'm going to have to trot out every trick I know when a local woman keels over dead at her own bridal party. Not only do I have to figure out what killed her, I have to recover it before it finds another victim, then cover it up to keep magic hidden. Together with my best friend, a powerful warlock who's personality tempers my own, and an ancient catalog that's been in my family for generations, we'll find the next artifact and take one more step toward cleaning up my mess.
I was born and raised in the South and even hung my motorcycle helmet in Colorado for a few months. I've always had a touch of wanderlust and have never feared just packing up and going on new adventures, whether in real life or via the pages of a great book.
When I was a little girl, I didn't want to grow up to be a writer—I wanted to raise unicorns and be a superhero. When those gigs fell through, I chose the next best thing: creating my own magical lands filled with adventure, magic, humor, and romance.
I live in Florida with my two dogs and when I'm not writing or reading, I'm racing motorcycles with my taller, more handsome half, hanging out at the beach, or binge-watching anything magical on Netflix.
I'm eternally grateful for all the people who help make my life what is today - friends, readers, family. No woman is an island.

The Deadly Diadem is Book 2 in the Paranormal Artifacts Series by Tegan Maher. I loved this book so much. I love the characters Sage, Eli, Hunter and the enigma Luther. When a bride to be dies and turns green Sage is investigating a deadly artifact.
The characters are well written and the story was such a breath of fresh air.
The story and mystery is dynamic and well thought out.
Highly entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series
This is a highly entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series. And outstanding cast of characters and a fun and entertaining storyline. A family that owns a highbrow antique gallery it’s actually a family of witches. Well they are truthfully a highbrow antiques gallery. They also happen to be in the business of finding antique artifacts that are cursed and out in the public. The mother the father and all the kids are well trained and schooled in different aspects of history which they use in their antique business. As well as in their connections in the world of antiques and magical artifacts. They track down and cleans cursed objects to keep them away from humans and magical people that are out to cause issues in the magical world. An eclectic bunch of characters that will entertain you and make you laugh while solving the mystery‘s and tracking down the artifact. These are shorter quick reads that you can read just about anywhere when you just have something going on and a short amount of time in between. Very entertaining and well worth reading. Check it out. Also check out the rest of the authors other books and series. You will not be disappointed.
Sage and Eli are still on the hunt for the cursed artifacts that accidently got sold at an auction before Sage had a change to clean them and make sure there was nothing wrong with them before someone was able to buy one, knowing they were safe. Sage gets a call from the Sheriff telling her that a socialite has died at her own bridal while party of strange causes and the Sheriff wonders if it had anything to do with one of the articles Sage is looking for. Sage has her hands full in this book between her ex, the Sheriff and Luther, a magical person who works with an elderly witch that has caught Sage's interest, but knows little about. Sage and Eli have a few mysteries to solve this time around and I thought it was a wonderful book. This series has me hook, line and sinker (pun intended)already and I am looking forward to the next book already.
If you read the first book in the series. The Haunted Pendant. You will be familiar with the characters, if not. Sage and her best friend Eli.discovered a sunken chest diving off the coast of their hometown in Florida. Turned out the chest was full.of cursed items, which ,by mistake Sage's sister then sold in he family antiques store. Now Sage is responsible for tracking down the cursed items and retrieving them, preferably before someone dies. This book sees a young woman drop.dead at a bridal.shower wearing a Diadem, one.of.The cursed items. But before Save can retrieve it , it turns up.missing and no one has any idea where it went or who is took it.
This was another great book in the series. I love the characters and watching relationships change with the passing of time. It had a good story lined that worked and flowed well throughout the book. However, this book has so many errors that should have been caught while proofreading but somehow they slipped thru. To me, this is a HUGE nuisance when reading a book and it has put me off authors in the past. So for now, yes I'm weighing the weight of all those errors more than I am on the actual content of the book. Sorry...
Tegan Maher hits another home run with The Deadly Diadem. The hunt continues for the cursed artifacts. This time up, it’s a cursed diadem, that teaches the wearer about greed. In addition, we learn a little more about Luther, but he’s not one to readily share information. This book is pure magical fun! Miss this one and you’ll miss the boat. Oh yeah, will Sage choose James or Luther? 🤔
This series is so fun and entertaining! The author has created a likeable cast of characters with plenty of mystery in the storyline. With a trunk full of cursed objects accidentally out loose in the town, I am looking forward to many future adventures in this series as Sage and her family and friends track them down.
I love this series. In this one, Sage is surprised by a phone call from her ex, James. He's the local sheriff and asks for her help on a special case. This isn't an ordinary human death. Sage's expertise is needed for this one. It's a fun, paranormal cozy and I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series .
Sage and Eli called to scene of a death this time. Only a few pieces have been returned most are still out there. James is in the picture more with the cursed items. He still loves Sage but confused about her being a witch. Good story interesting characters and situations.
I enjoyed this book as much as the previous book. Still trying to age Sage beyond 17-18 in my head but doing better. Don't know why my brain wants to insist she's young. Probably reminds me just enough of Shelby in the author's other series.
Witches looking for cursed artifacts, with a human sheriff in on the.secret. The plot and subplots move quickly and the conversations flow naturally. I can't wait for the next book!
This series is such fun. Trying to keep the magical world from the mundane world is very trying and sometimes they collide. James seems to be handling the knowledge better and I hope they can work things out. Waiting for the next one.
Can't figure out what Luther is. All these haunted items floating around causing mayhem. Not sure how they will find them all. I love Tegan Maher's writing. Can't go wrong with this series.
I love these books. The character build up is amazing. They are quick reads that leave you waiting for the next book. So cuddle up and get ready to laugh.
I really like the relationships between all the characters and the humor they share. There’s a bit of romance, which keeps everything interesting…..more romance would be good too
Very light, but fun. Likable characters, charming setting, interesting challenges = a fun, relaxing read. I’m looking for the next in the series, as this ended in medias res.
Sage and Eli have some interesting adventures and narrow escapes as they look for the rest of the cursed artifacts. More development on the relationships too, especially Sage vs. James and Luther. A fun series.
I enjoyed this story, which is the 2nd book in the series. She is continuing to develop the cast of characters as the books continue, and the characters come alive in her stories. This is an engaging story and so far an engaging series. I look forward to reading the other books in this series.
