Get ready to meet the London Sullivans in AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU on October 16th! And don't worry, there will be another Maine Sullivan coming very soon! I am going to be writing both the Maine & London Sullivans at the same time. ❤️
I love to travel, and whenever I visit a beautiful new place I always find myself storing scents, experiences and images in my mind so that I can share them with readers. As I write about somewhere I’ve been—whether Napa Valley, California; Pikes Place Market, Seattle; Hart Island, New York; Mount Desert Island, Maine—I can’t help but want to hop in a car or plane and experience their beauty again.
I first visited England when I was teenager, on a trip with my parents to learn about Shakespeare in Stratford-Upon-Avon, and also to visit my mother’s brother and sister who both live in London. I went a second time in college while on a six-month transfer program in Paris. Since then I’ve lost track of how many times I have been back to England. All I know is that I’m constantly wishing I could be back there again. The sooner the better!
I love everything about Great Britain—the landscape, the history, the traditions, the accents. I can happily spend hours exploring museums and castles and winding cobblestone streets.
As Long As I Have You is my love letter to London—and to the newest branch of the Sullivan family. I hope you fall as much in love with the London Sullivans as I already have.
❤️ Bella
“AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU” BOOK DESCRIPTION All Mari Everett’s life, she’s had two secret dreams: To own a bookstore, and to reunite with her long lost father. But as insatiable passion develops into love, will Mari and Owen be able to grab hold of their fresh start? Or will their pasts continue to cast a dark shadow over their chance at a brilliant future together in London?
I have loved the Sullivans for what seems like forever. From the moment I discovered this family of overachievers to the present, Bella Andre was at the top of my favorites list. She engages your senses while laying claim to your emotions. All while making you smile and maybe even shed a few tears. I continue to be captivated by the legacy that is the Sullivan Clan. From San Francisco to Maine, New York and now London these characters continue to put more than a little love in my heart. As Long as I Have You is a reminder of why, Bella Andre is in a class that's all her own.
As Long As I Have You was the first book in the London Sullivans series by Belle Andre but it was one of many from the full Sullivan series. Each series were stand alone series and did not have to be read in order.
Mari Everett had not seen her father, Charlie Forsythe, since she was three. He left and never looked back. For her entire life she lived in California but secretly dreamed about him and his bookstore on Elderflower Island in London. Upon his death, she had her chance to go and she did; although she had no idea what she would find.
Owen Sullivan lived on Elderflower Island. He was the oldest of five children and was the business manager for his grandmother, a famous mystery author. Elderflower Island was a tight nit community, but surprisingly they were all unaware Charlie had a daughter.
Andre had several plots running simultaneously but all were surrounding Mari and her journey for discovering the past, present and future through the eyes of her late father, her mother and Mari’s dreams. The storyline and characters were written well with depth, dimension and complexity. Andre also creatively and brilliantly introduced the Sullivan family, who will now continue the series.
All in all, it was enjoyable without much drama, but included insight and reflection. A great start to the series and the perfect setting for a calm and peaceful story. Malcom appears to be up next and I can’t wait!
Family, the centerpiece of all. Being in love with the Sullivan family it was great to meet a new branch, the London Sullivans. Owen and Mari discover they are each other’s one almost immediately. Their connection over her deceased father’s bookshop and subsequent reopening create a lasting bond. But will this bond to him and his family cost her her own family? While this is a great book I hoped for a greater explanation of the familial connection between the London Sullivan’s and the American Sullivan branches.
As we start down the newest Sullivan Road, I can’t help but wonder where Bella Andre will take us. She has a way of taking us places that we’ve never been but hope to be someday. On to London or should I say Elderflower Island and this time with a strong, sexy and now British Sullivan. Who can resist a British Sullivan?
Mari was such a treat to read. She is smart and determined but disappointed that she never got to know her father or the reason for his leaving. Being in his home and the bookstore that he loved has left her with more questions than answers. This is a life she’s always dreamed about but never pursued because of her mother. Now, she’s willing to give it a shot here and knows, in her heart, that this is where she has always belonged.
Owen promised his grandmother that he would be there to greet Mari and make her transition easier. He didn’t expect to find a beautiful and intelligent woman that would steal his heart with one glance. Now, it’s become his mission to help her, support her and stand by her in whatever decision she decides to make. He’ll show her just how wonderful her life could be if she chose to stay on Elderflower Island … with him.
Bella Andre really knows how to bring her stories to life. Her descriptions of people and places always make you feel like you are there, that you are living their lives with them. She wrote Owen as a man who gave himself to his family and is now giving himself to his true love. Mari was strong and independent with a love of all things books. You couldn’t help yourself when you fell in love with both of them. Her supporting characters are just that … they don’t distract from the story but enhance it and, As Long As I Have You would not have been the same without Mathilda.
I’ve been reading the Sullivans series ever since the first book came out and so when I heard that Bella Andre would be writing another spin off series I wasn’t really sure what to think. After all, she’s done so many already, what could make this one special?
However, when I learned that this series would set place in London, England, my curiosity was peaked. So I found myself more eager to try this new series and I’m so glad that I did. AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU is a refreshing breath of air. It’s sweet and charming atmosphere will definitely sweep you off your feet and perhaps if you’re like me, you’ll find yourself reading this book in one setting overnight.
I really enjoyed Mari’s character the most. I liked that Andre took her time in setting up her story, especially because it was one that was so delicate. The romance between her and Owen blooms slowly and I think that was important to have given the fact that Mari has just lost her father. Having Owen there definitely brought on a lot of comfort to her, but also it was just nice to see a different style of Bella Andre’s men that I have come to really love.
I am really excited for this series now and can’t wait to hear more about the London Sullivans. The change in setting really lends a lot to the series, creating deeper connections and new experiences. The London Sullivans is sure to be another hit!
I am so excited to read about the Sullivan’s again. This part of the family lives in London. I felt bad for Mari as she hasn’t seen her father since she was three years old, and her mother kicked him out. Mari has always hoped he would get in touch with her. She could never ask her mother anything about him as her mother can’t stand him. Her step father has been wonderful to her and she has an older step brother Carson that she loves.
Mari is told her father has passed away and she has inherited his book store and apartment on Elderflower Island in London. Now Mari will never know why her father never contacted her, but she is excited about the bookstore since she has always wanted to own one. Her mother is not happy when Mari tells her she is flying over to London to take care of her father’s affairs. Here she meets Owen Sullivan on the first day and there is a connection between the two. I loved how Ms Andre wrote about the small community and the places in London I would love to visit. She brought everything to life so I could also visit there without leaving home! Owen is a loving, caring and helping person to his family, friends, and community. It was so much fun watching the two fall in love. The people in that community were wonderful and so helpful. I loved the bookstore and want to go sit there and read books! Mari was able to see another side of her father through his bookstore as well as the people in the community. This is such a heartwarming story that I strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
3.25 stars This was a sweet read and pretty much what I would expect from Ms Andre.
As Long as I Have You moves us across the pond to meet more of the extended Sullivan family and focuses on Owen, the oldest of 5 siblings. Owen is easy to like and falls completely into the Sullivan model of being a “fixer” with a slight shadow over him (very slight in this case.)
He is paired with Mari, an equally likeable heroine who is stronger than she appears at first. Add in Owen’s siblings and the tight knit community around them and this is a solid world building romance.
This was an enjoyable read and definitely a feel good book. My complaint- which I’ve raised about the Sullivan series before - is that it’s very formulaic. There were no big surprises and while the book delivered, it’s not a book I would rush out to buy.
This is a really sweet book. I loved feeling the character’s emotions. Felt sad that Mari didn’t get to see her Dad before he died. Loved how great a friend Owen turns out to be, and how helpful his whole family is. I actually cried when his grandmother met Mari. But will her Mom understand she may not return home? That she wants to run the bookshop? It’s what she’s always wanted. It’s a very heartfelt book. Loved the ending and how it sounds like Malcolm’s story is next. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.
A love-at-first-sight story that's also slow burn, As Long As I Have You is a fantastic spin-off series starter for Bella’s London Sullivans. How can I not love a book that has the heroine’s dream of owning a bookstore come true? That’s my dream too and reading how Mari accomplishes everything along with falling in love with the amazing Owen Sullivan has me smiling and sighing while I read it.
Bella’s Elderflower Island seems so real, I’m convinced I want to visit there someday. Can’t wait for Malcolm’s story.
Where I’ve loved all the previous Sullivan books, this one sadly fell short. I really enjoyed Mari as a protagonist but Owen Sullivan felt too one dimensional and quite dull. He and Mari lacked the chemistry that Bella Andre is normally so good at nailing that their insta-love just did not feel believable in the slightest. I normally appreciate how comfortable and formulaic the Sullivan romances are, but this one lacked spark and heart, seemingly striving to only tick boxes.
This book was utterly charming! I loved Mari, hated how things started out for her, but going to London changed her life in so many ways. She found out her father really did love her and found ways to always keep her in his life. The legacy he left her with the shop and the people was great, but the books...OMG what a treasure she had there! I also loved that Owen was there to help Mari from the start and how neither of them jumped into a relationship. So when things got physical with them they knew exactly that was what they wanted.
EEK!! The Sullivans are back!!! I was so excited when I heard that the next Bella Andre book to be released would be another Sullivan Series book. I was even happier when I heard it was going to be the 1st book in the London branch of the Sullivan family, and I couldn’t wait for it to hit my kindle. I first fell in love with Ms. Andre’s writing when The Look of Love (San Francisco branch) the very first book of the Sullivan series was recommended to me by a friend. I have been hooked on Bella Andre and this series ever since. I absolutely LOVED the story of Mari and Owen for oh so many reasons. First, because of Ms. Andre’s way of telling a story. She ALWAYS sucks me in from the very beginning of one of her books. I know to always start one of her books on a day off, because I know I am not going to be able to put it down once I start it. As Long as I have You was not exception, I read straight thru the night, doing an all-nighter. Second: I got to see a part of London thru Ms. Andre’s story. Her ability to bring the scenery to life. My gosh, I so want to go to Elderflower Island. Third: the emotions brought out in this book, I laughed, cried, and angry at several characters. I totally understood why they did what they did, but I was still angry at them for Mari’s sake. I think I cried the hardest when Mari opened the boxes in the closet and really started to realize just how much… stop! Sorry Ladies, I refuse to give any spoilers away. Oh, and then the journals…. The tears flowed there too and now as I am thinking about them. Darn you, Bella Andre for introducing me to my new book boyfriend, only to rip him out of my hands to give to someone else! Owen Sullivan…sigh. I think he has become one of my favorite Sullivans. I fell for him from the very beginning. He also had a demon of his own, and no, you need to read this phenomenal book to find out what it is. It just shows that Sullivans are indeed “real” and “human” after all. I was gifted with a copy of this wonderful book for my reading pleasure and for my opinions regarding the book for which I am eternally thankful. So, I my honest opinion, if you love to read emotional, fun loving, stories about take no prisoners hero and heroines, this book is certainly for you. I freaking loved every word!!! I cannot wait for this book to be released in audio form, because I will most definitely be buying that version as well. Thank you for reading my review.
I received this book for free from Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

It sure would of been a star or two more in ratings if Owen's running mental dialogue wasn't cheesey insta-love. More Hallmark than anything.
I also disliked Mari's mother who just could not forgive Charlie. I don't mean that I took ratings away for it but it actually improved my approval of the story. You have to have some dysfunctional juicy characters in any book.
I visited London three times. I'd go again because I missed so much....stuff that this book mentioned reminded me of that.... more to see and do.
Good sweet read. Going to like the London Sullivan family!!
Mari has recieved shocking news, but also shows the reader to not put off plans or dreams. Owen gets to help and in return gets advice on how to start let go of guilt and begin forgiveness of himself.
"She had been hurt, but she wasn’t at all broken.
She had been sent into a difficult situation, but still seemed full of hope.
Hope. It was such a fragile thing, yet so damned important."
Through the whole reading experience so many great lessons are covered. Mari gets to know her father through their shared interests and memories left in the bookstore, what a wonderful gift.
I give this book 5 stars. The storyline between Owen and Mari was well worth reading and well written. They have a great chemistry. You will love this book. I whole heartedly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Readers Copy of this book.
Mari is on her lunch break with her stepbrother Carson when they walk past a bookstore. He knows the pull books have on his sister so encourages her to go in. She reads everything she can about Elderflower Island where her birth father is from. So when she enters the bookstore owner Nils calls to her and has a book for her on the history of Elderflower Island. She quickly pays for the book when her phone rings. It's a number from England. She answers and after confirming who she is the solicitor explains that she is the sole heir of her father Charlie's estate! 30 years, she hasn't seen her father since she was three, now she is the sole beneficiary of all his worldly goods. How is she going to tell her parents? Her mother Donna has not allowed anyone to mention Charlie's name since the day he left. Thankfully Gary Everett was a kind man and even adopted Mari when her mother married him. What happened all those years ago? Why was Donna still upset with Charlie? Why did Charlie never try to contact Mari? What happens when she tells them she is going to Elderflower Island in six weeks after the probate is done? Who is Owen? How does one of Mari's favorite authors Mathilda Westcott figure into what happens next? Will Mari even want to stay when she sees the condition of the bookshop and flat? Only one way to find out, read this great story by Bella Andre. Let's hope there are more books coming about the London Sullivan's 👍
Okay now I want to add Elderflower Island to my must visit list, of course it's really based on Eel Island on the Thames is London. The way that Ms. Andre described it transported me as if by magic. The bookshop was described in such detail that it made me want to own one.
The story is Owen Sullivan and Marina "Mari" Everett's. She is an accountant at her stepfather's firm but she longs to own a bookstore and to visit London to reconnect with her birth father. Unbeknownst to her, he opened a bookshop of his own on Elderflower Island where he lived for years. She just got word that he passed and being his next of kin, she inherited the shop along with the flats above it. She jumps at the chance to go and see if she can find clues as to who her father was and why he never contacted he after he left when she was 3. Her mother doesn't want her to go, she is still bitter about what happened after all these years even though she remarried and it happy.
Owen Sullivan works for his grandmother, an author of famous mystery novels that are based in Mari's dad's bookshop. Own, just like the rest of the island folk is very interested to meet the young woman that no one knew about until Charlie's death. He is the first to extend a welcome to her and offer his help. He is quite taken with her but first secrets have to be uncovered or spoken in order to move on from their pasts.
I loved this book. Owen is quite handsome and sweet and sexy and I could almost hear his British accent. He grandmother is amazing and I wish mine had been like his. His family is large like all of the Sullivan families we have met so far. His parents have a love that lasts forever but their children are still finding their way to love. His siblings are interesting and I want to know more about them. Hints are dropped as to the next possible Sullivan coupling. Mari is smart and hard working and doesn't wallow in self pity when the chips are down. It was a wonderful story of finding oneself and letting go of the past or the version of the past that wasn't quite accurate. I bet if Charlie had lived, he would have been a very unique character. So much to love about Elderflower Island and it's inhabitants, can't wait for the next great read.
London Sullivans book1. A simply fabulous read. You gotta love these Sullivans. This is Owen and Mari story. Owen being part of the awesome Sullivan family has these amazing qualities. He's loving, kind, alpha with some flaws but damn near perfect. Mark has big time daddy issues and some dreams that she's holding back but finds herself taking risks. This book is angsty, dramatic, heartfelt and passionate. Get your tissues ready it reads like a Hallmark movie.
I love all the Sullivan books but this one is my absolute favorite. I felt like I was right there in London going through the bookshop with Mari. I never wanted the story to end. Another thing I love about the Sullivan books is there is always a mention of other ones from the family in each book. This time it was Marcus. Reading these books is like returning home to family. Looking forward to reading all the London Sullivans. Bella Andre never disappoints.
Two series that you can’t go wrong with is The Sullivans and The Maverick Billionaires. This is the first of the London Sullivans and Owen and Mari are just as delightful as the American Sullivans. Not to mention being introduced to a slew of great secondary characters. Can’t wait for find out what happened with Malcolm and the woman he left behind in the states.
Beautiful Story! I loved it! This is the first book in the London Sullivans Series. Mari and Owen’s story is beautifully written, and romantic. They share an undeniable chemistry, and a love at first sight. I love the family spirit in this story. The supporting characters are wonderful. Eva Kaminsky and Julian Elfer did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series.
As Long As I Have You was exactly the escape I needed today. Elderflower Island, just outside London, was the perfect setting, and I honestly couldn’t put it down. The story is heartfelt yet light, with a sweet romance at its core, showing the good in people, the strength of community, and most of all the ties of family. I only wish Elderflower Island were a real place I could visit. A beautiful read that was absolutely worth it!
awwww that was the sweetest and most caring of stories as two people came together to achieve a dream and bring back a landmark in a small town. and it brought me right to London which is nice since i wont be going in person like planned this year. Love those Sullivan's and looking forward to more of them.
What a wonderful story. Another Sullivan winner. I was captivated by everything the characters, storyline and the location. I even googled Elderflower Island...which I now want to visit. As I have already devoured all the other Sullivan stories I will anxiously await the next book.
