I went home with the hottest guy at my high school reunion... and his best friend. Oops.
One moment, I’m at my high school reunion and the next, they took me back to their place and my panties were on the floor.
Max Monahan and Thad Hemsley. The dynamic duo of our high school, Belle Academy.
They never looked twice at me back then but now? They want me. Both of them. But they’re best friends. I should do the right thing and choose one.
I’ll choose Max. I’ve had a crush on him my entire life. But Thad… He makes me feel more alive than I ever have. No matter what I do, I break two hearts; mine and the man we leave behind.
Unless…
No… No, I can’t date both of them at the same time.
Or can I?
2 In the Pink is a shocking and hilarious romantic comedy about a big, beautiful woman and her two alpha men by USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Tabatha Kiss!
USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Tabatha Kiss is from Chicago, Illinois.
You can probably catch her huddled up in a hoodie, reading a good romance beneath a tree with her trusty husky by her side. She enjoys roller derby, sushi, and is always searching for her forever bad boy.
2 in the Pink is the first book in The Pink Series duet by Tabatha Kiss. This is my very first book by Tabatha. It’s been on my to read list forever and I finally decided to jump in. Wow am I glad I finally did. The writing was engaging and fun. The characters were lovable and it was sexy as heck.
Phoebe Pink is a successful twenty eight year old woman living in Los Angeles. She is head of the LA branch of a large publishing firm. It’s been ten years since Phoebe graduated as a scholarship student from the prestigious Belle Academy. She never fit in there with all the thin, beautiful girls and the swoony boys. Especially one in particular that she had a huge crush on all four years. Now, it’s time for her ten year reunion. She’s not that awkward teen anymore but a confident woman, isn’t she?
Max Monahan is a lawyer working for his father’s firm and Thad Hemsley is a commercial airline pilot. Max is living under his father’s thumb and Thad has a different girl in every city during his layovers. They’ve been best friends all their lives. Both are floundering in their lives, neither happy.
Every school has their mean girls. In this case, the now woman never changed. When she sees a chance to cause damage at the reunion, she takes it, only her plan backfires on her. A cruel bet that Max and Thad lost turns out to be the best night of both of their lives. One look at Phoebe and they realize that she has grown into a beautiful woman, a woman they both want. A lost bet may have forced them to approach Phoebe, but that’s where the bet ended. Everything that happened after that was because they couldn’t walk away.
Phoebe is attracted to two sexy men, she is dating two sexy men! This isn’t acceptable. She should choose between them. But she can’t. Then Max and Thad make a proposal. She doesn’t have to choose. She can have them both. Over the next couple of weeks, her life is better than she ever imagined it could be. But can this last? Can these men really want to share her, to have a relationship with her?
This is a sexy, sweet, fun story that I fully enjoyed. There were a few errors here and there that I noticed but I have a thing about that so I have to mention it. It definitely wasn’t enough to distract me from the story. All of these three were at a crossroads in their lives. Now they all have to figure out how this new relationship will figure into their futures. I found this author’s writing style so enjoyable, so easy to sink in to. These three get to continue their story in the novella, Pink Christmas. I can’t wait to see how they’re doing. I also look forward to checking out this author’s other work in the future.
I tried this author again, because I do love me some BBW romance. This was a mixed bag however, and ultimately didn't work for me. It was readable, but I struggled with several things, not the least of which were the heroes and the ultimate resolution.
Once I got past the way they got together - a bet set up by their school's mean girl and Phoebe is basically the "punishment" for Thad and Max to hook up with, but it turns into "love, you know, that old chestnut. Now, this takes place during a high school reunion, but at the beginning, you'd be hard pressed to believe these are adults. Thad and Max say several times that what jerks they were and how much they want her now, but they also spend too much time saying "I don't know why I feel this way" which, how am I supposed to believe in that?
That aside, I could have still enjoyed this. However, instead of focusing on the MFM, this played more like a love triangle, which is NOT a trope I like. When Phoebe was trying to decide which guy to be with,
There's some awkward phrasing (for ex, you order an Uber, there's no number to call), a generally dismissive attitude towards criminal defense which I happen to work in, and NO, it's not about representing "bad buys" but the fact that everybody is entitled to a presumption of innocence and a defense, no matter what. But I digress.
Bottom line, I'm sure this will work for some people who prefer MFM and don't mind a love triangle vibe to it all. It's just not my thing, but I think I'll give this author one more shot, because I believe in trying anything at least three times, so there's that.
I pinky swear… If you enjoy MFM romances, you will LOVE this one!
Phoebe hated being the scholarship student at her hoity toity high school, but she endured and has made something of herself since. The rich students at her former school would torment the awkward, quiet teenager and her crushes on the cute boys in her grade would always go unrequited.
When Phoebe reluctantly attends her high school reunion, at the prodding of a friend, she dreads facing the ‘cool crowd’ again. Now beautiful, successful and as smart as ever, she still doesn’t feel confident enough to fit in with her classmates. Imagine her astonishment when the boy of her teenage dreams Max and his best friend Thad approach her at the reunion with a proposition for the evening.
What was supposed to be one insane, drunken night of dream fulfillment with two men from her high school fantasies, turned into something more. Both men wanted to see Phoebe again and were genuinely interested in getting to know her better.
She starts to fall for both of them and can’t choose between the two men. She’s hoping that she can convince them to share her again, but this time for more than just one night...
This book is sexy, sweet, funny and did I mention the sexy times are smokin’ hot?! Like seriously, I was more red than pink while reading this book! It’s a MFM romance and it’s all about the BBW’s pleasure. There are no MM scenes. Keep a cool drink (or your spouse) on standby.
Such a great book! A story I loved, why, well it featured a strong sexy confident curvy women; a women who as the scholarship student to an elite high school had been the outsider. The outsider who always had a few too many pimples, and a curvier heavier body type than the twiggie girls. The but of their jokes. So why attend your high school reunion , because your Admin assistant has convicted needy you that your not that girl anymore, you are, strong, sexy and smart women who is in charge of the west coast division of a successfully publishing house. So with her admin And freind Jackie by her side Pheobe heads back to school, off course regardless of who she is now there has to be the one women who brings up old wounds and she would have to be the first to great Pheobe. What did Pheobe not ecxpect , her high school crush Max Monahan to come to her and spark a conversation, along with his best freind Thad and Pheobe actually starts to believe they are actually seeing her for the first time, until snickering from another table makes her think otherwise. Phoebe de idea to leave but Max follows, because though he may have been part of a bet, he is actually seeing something in this women, and is very attracted to her. Max convinces Pheobe to leave with him and Thad just follows along figuring it is just part of paying for his loss in the bet, but as the night wears on and things heat up both of these men , these playboys fall. He hot night together , one incredible three way has them seeking Pheobe out, but for thefireworks time these best freinds Max and Thad keep Dating Pheobe a secret from each other, and Pheobe well she is not saying anything , feeling guilty for seeing both men and unable to decide between them, she chooses to keep, silent so as not to come between them. What happens though when Max and Thad discover they are both seeing Pheobe , well that just makes the book even better! Arc copy provided by author in exchange for an Honest review .
I have to admit that I am never really happy when reading stories that involve a bit of a love triangle or menage as I always feel that there is one that loses out and it is usually the character that I love. That being said, I loved this book by Tabatha Kiss “2 In the Pink” was a delight to read. I give it 4 stars.
Phoebe Pink was the awkward outcast at school. She was that voucher kid at the most prestigious high school in the area and she was made aware of that fact every day at school. Like every high school there were the gorgeous and popular cool kids and Max Monahan was the epitome of that kid. Max and his best friend Thad Hemsley were the hottest guys at school and they new it, neither of them had any time for Phoebe Pink at that time but times definitely change.
Can Phoebe really believe that two of the hottest guys at school and that are now two of the hottest guys she has ever seen can have any real interest in her. After a night like no other Phoebe cannot believe it wasn't a dream and when those men pursue her she just might need a little more convincing.
The dynamic between the three main characters worked great and the humour and heat throughout made it an enjoyable and hot tale. This was a quick read that I couldn't put down and was a little upset that there wasn't more of it. A great read that I am happy to recommend to those who enjoy a good good hot read.
4.5 for only one reason, the first little bit of it felt wayyy too high school. But then it picked up and it was fun and HOT and I really enjoyed this author! Also I wish the Boss As B*tch would have come out and at least slapped Sweet!
Phoebe was such a sweet girl and I loved her pluckiness. She had this grit and determination about her that made me root for her. Phoebe hated being known as the “scholarship student” at the rich high school she went to and she was brutally picked on because of that label. She was miserable all because of these stupid rich kids and their labels. Due to them, she was looked down on and her HS years were not the best and her crush(es) were just that. She went on to become successful after HS , to prove those hateful kids wrong. Phoebe reluctantly attends her high school reunion at her friend’s suggestion/pushing. She really doesn’t want to go , starts feeling dread at seeing all those rich kids from years past who made her life a living heck. Phoebe is beautiful, rich in her own right and successful yet she feels she doesn’t still fit in. Still she goes and when she is there, she gets a shock when her dream crush Max from HS comes up to her with his friend Thad and they want to be around her, they seem interested in her---she is blown away. They have this proposition for her and there is this one night that they shared… but there is a reason that they picked her. What she thinks is the start to a magical relationship is shrouded in secrets. Thad and Max and Phoebe develop this great relationship and everything is going awesome until it all crashes and burns. Will they get their HEA or will their relationship have now crashed and burned? I loved how Phoebe really opened her heart to Thad and Max even after HS and let them into her life. Thad and Max at first weren’t looking for love , yet these two Romeos, these handsome, sexy virile men opened their heart and wanted to let love in and when they did……wow, the heat and chemistry really poured and the story just was tight and amazing with their love story.
My Rating: 4.7 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
I loved this book by Tabatha Kiss, a light-hearted, romantic story about 3 people, Phoebe, Max and Thad. When Phoebe attends her High School reunion she isn't the same gawky overweight teenager that everyone made fun of....she grew up. She's still a BBW but has decided to flaunt her curves because of her assistant, Jackie, who helps her and comes along with her. Max and Thad make a bet when the class barbie doll bi*** goads them and they lose, the losers have to talk and sleep with Phoebe. What happens after takes them all by surprise and both men can't get enough of her and want to be with her, they fall for her and she falls for both of them. When the class bi*** tells her about the bet, her world crumbles and leaves the guys, but they don't give up...she's it for them. Read and find out what happens...you won't be disappointed. I loved loved loved this book, I laughed throughout most of it as the author wrote an amazing light-hearted, funny, steamy book that I couldn't put down. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
I flove 2 in the Pink!!! I don't usually go for MFM menage romances, but for Tabatha I will read anything she writes. Oh my god did I enjoy this book!! I finished it one night and the next morning I found myself wanting to jump back in the world she created with Phoebe Pink, Max, and Thad. It's funny, sexy, steamy hot, and with just enough heartbreak to pull it all together with an HEA. The characters come to life off the pages and you feel like you've known them since high school and you fit right in. Jackie, Phoebe's friend and assistant, is hilarious! Max and Thad? Oh. My. God. Max is passionate and sweet and tender. Thad is funny and sexy and even sweeter! You'll have to read to find out just how much sweeter he is. ;) They are all perfect for each other and the bedroom scenes will affect you in the all the right ways. Like I said, I FLOVE this book!! I want more of Thad and Max ;) I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
2 in the pink is a story of a girl who in her school reunion ends up getting involved with 2 of her ex-classmates.
On the one hand I really liked that the protagonist is not the typical overwhelming beauty that doubts her appeal, but a normal girl, a little big, but with a great personality. Although I have to admit that I like more girls with character who do not give a shit by rest of the world.
The book is full of steam and the story is entertaining and hilarious in some parts, however, I did not like the fact of the bet, that is, adult subjects behaving like teenagers, and she could not connect two words coherently just for Have them in front and then all this secrecy, uhmm, but in the end I think things were improving a lot.
I voluntarily read an Advance Review Copy of this book.
If you love your books hot and steamy then this must be your next read! This is the second book I've read by Tabatha Kiss and it definitely won't be the last. It's a MFM ménage story that has you hooked from the start. It was great to see the heroine character as a normal beauty, perfect and curvy not the skinny stick figger characters we normally read about. Max and Thad are best friends from high school where they had every girl they wanted because they were the popular, hot boys and Phoebe Pink is the nerdy, ugly duckling who always got picked on at high school. Forward twenty years later to the present day where they all turn up to their school reunion and this is where things heat up! Loved this story it was so good to see Phoebe become a strong and confident woman who almost never lets her past get to her. A must read for 2017!
I loved this book! Max and Thad were perfect for Phoebe. A high school reunion was the perfect trope for this story, where people can be hateful and mean in a way only high schoolers are. I loved watching Phoebe grow to love herself more as it progressed. And Max and Thad were so hot, both wanting her, and her wanting both of them.. Their chemistry was off the charts hot! Great book all around, with a catchy title to go with it! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
I love books that have a BBW as the main character. It is really refreshing to read about a woman who is comfortable in her skin and not afraid to show it. It was also an eye opener to read about a menage that really just happens organically. Well pretty much anyway. It's a great book about being open to different possiblities and seeing if they are right for you. And about love in it's many forms.
I'm going to be honest and say that I picked this book up because of the title. I laughed and loved the cover and figured it would be a fun short read, it what I got was so much more then I bargened for.
Phobe was the girl everyone made fun of but she grew and got over that. She was really a great person. I loved her timid side, but she also was a boss!!! <---- Read the book for that to make sense.
Max was that popular kid in school. Everyone wanted to be his friend, all the girls wanted him, but as time went by, he changed. He wanted to do good no matter what he was groomed for and told to what to do. He was just so yummy!!!
Thad was that kid from school was was cool because of association to other cool kids. I'm not saying he isn't great because he is, and seeing who he is and understanding him made me love him that much more.
I made the big mistake of starting this late at night. This is one of those books that you can't get your mind off of and you just want to keep reading no matter what. I can't even say what made it that way for me. The characters were awesome. The plot was fast paced with steam and houmor and the writing was amazing. I plan to read more from this author in the future. 5 stars #OCCJD
This was such fun. I really liked Pheobe Max and Thad. Im so happy she didn't have to choose between them. I kinda wished there was a extra scene where Phoebe goes to Sadie and thanks her for the Switch and Belle game that she brought them together 😆 lol. Pheobe's friend Jackie was so amazing I loved how she encouraged her. This book was so good I want to read more from this author.
I think the best part of this book was the high school reunion ...when you go to your reunion you wanna look great ... appear u have it all together. That you have changed since you were in school in the 1st place. interesting read??! love this cover. pink high heel. ( ;
Ménage is one my fave genres under in the romance section, but I'm picky, I don't want an mmf (m/m isn't my thing and I'm not sharing my man even in my books) , and I don't like it as a plot device to bring just ppl together, don't give a story full say Jack and Jason fighting over Susan only Jack and Susan to go off together alone, and Jason to get the girl in the next book, basically all that angst and drama and bed hopping for nothing , No... No thank you,or a ménage that's all sex and not story, sure a ménage might more sex because their are more ppl involved but you still need at good story.... This ? Was mainly sex and a so/so story as far as I was concerned.... I didn't find the h or the story CuTe or adorable as the other did I found Phoebe rather boring and lacking in self confidence department, the 16-17 yr. insecure girl, was supposed to be at least 10 years ago ,she's at least 28 now , a collage grad. And she's running a branch of a publishing house and yet, she seems goofy, and insecure and like 16 was just a few months ago now over a decade ago..... I knew what the break up was gonna be the moment they got together and watched for til it happened... which by the lasted less than 24 hours, ( the "break up" that it)... For me there were a few nice moments here and there but most of it either had me cringing at the clumsiness of the moment ( like her attempting the worse morning after sneak out almost in history ( we didn't get the sex the night before but we got to watch her make a fool of her self the next morning),or it felt cliche, the overly experienced the best friend to the mean girl in the bathroom.... the characters were nice per say,but lacked any real, depth to me Phoebe was clumsy and awkward, who could seem let go of her past, who seemed mainly want one of the guys to fulfill a teenage dream, and both guys seemed to like her, well just because and almost all their encounters revolved around sex and not much else..... Compared to a lot of M/F/M ménage out there it's not bad per say, mainly because too many aren't M/F/M where it all centers on the woman, but it's still rather shallow and comes up short for me... but for .99 cents I'd say give it a try...
This was an awesome story. A story that is probably every woman’s dream. Tabatha Kiss did a wonderful job.
When I was reading about Phoebe Pink I felt a little sorry for her when it came to her past. How awful it must of been to of went through her life invisible pretty much. When she was noticed it was to be tease or bully her.
You can not help but admire Phoebe. She worked hard to change herself, to be successful in life. I admire her for that. I can not imagine the dread she felt when she was asked to go to her class reunion.
Max ad Thad were super sexy. I mean you have a sexy lawyer and a pilot, what more could a girl want. I loved how close these two were and how they did not care to share. For Max it was like an attraction he could not shake once he started talking to her. It seemed it took Thad just a little longer. It was that kiss that had him.
At the class reunion we got to see how mean Sally Sweet was. She was far from sweet. I truly hated the woman. She loved being the center of attention and preying on the weak. You would think she was a child and not a grow woman that way she acted.
There were some more characters in this book I did not like. There was David Larkin, Max’s father, and Bradley. I guess every book needs to have a villain in the story to make it a good one and keep you on the edge of your seat.
I loved Jackie in this book. When reading about her you could tell she was more then an assistant to Phoebe, she was a good friend. I loved how Jackie truly wanted what was best for Phoebe and had her best interest at heart.
While reading this book I could see the train wreck coming a mile a way. I almost wanted to close my eyes, scared it was going to happen any time. This train wreak could destroy everything that Max, Thad, and Phoebe have built.
I almost laughed how Phoebe was trying to balance two men without them finding out. Problem was she did not pay attention to the small details.
There is truly some hot and steamy parts in this book. You can not help but fall in love with some of the characters and this amazing love story. So glad I got a chance to read the book.
Genre: Romance - BBW, Menage Stand-alone: Yes Part of a Series: Yes POV: Phoebe, Max and Thad Steam Level: Hot, hot, hot 5/5
Confession time: I've never read a menage before - love triangles, yes, menage, no (well, unless you count Laurell K Hamilton - then I have but that doesn't feel like it counts since it's multiples, not just three. Hmm...) I decided to give 2 in the Pink I try for two reasons: 1. I absolutely LOVE Tabatha Kiss's writing. 2. With a name like 2 in the Pink I figured it would be rather cheeky (no pun intended).
I absolutely LOVED 2 in the Pink. It was funny, sexy, and emotional. Both the guys were alpha-males but in different ways. Phoebe was sassy, smart and sweet which, to me, makes the best heroines in romance novels. She was driven and career-oriented and her assistant Jackie was hilarious and a perfect mix of personality to keep the story light. I also love, love, love the fact that Tabatha Kiss dealt with some of Phoebe's negativity/insecurities about herself both verbally and physically and how we see her grow to love and accept herself, to see herself as beautiful as the guys see her. And the scene near the end with Max and his dad! Learning to stand up for yourself, knowing/learning who you can truly rely on and learning to love yourself are a huge part of this book that can easily fly under the radar if you don't stop to think about them. This made 2 in the Pink more than just a sexy good time but also feel-good book that is both light-hearted and deep-thought provoking (if you choose to do s0).
Once I started Two in the Pink I could hardly put it down. I whipped through it so fast I was sad to see it end. This was another great book by Tabatha Kiss! If you haven't read her you definitely should give her books a try (she has something for everyone) and if you're look for a sexy and sweet romance with two hot guys and a feisty BBW with an awesome HEA then pick up 2 in the Pink. You'll love it!
Another enjoyable story from Tabatha Kiss. I really like this story but wasn't crazy about Phoebe seeing both Max and Thad without letting either of them know that she was seeing the other (hence the 4.5 instead of 5 stars). However, the author did an amazing job of bringing these three people together. The major thing to know about this book is that the blurb is wrong and gives a false impression about the story - they do not take Phoebe back to their place - they take Phoebe to Max's place. Max and Thad are best buds from high school and once in a great while they share a girl but it is not a normal thing for them and they don't live together. Thad sometimes crashes at Max's place when he is in town. That being said, Thad and Max are a total 180° different from the other (except for the good looks) and they each bring something different in a relationship. Phoebe goes from dateless to not even enough time for sleep while dating two guys. With Max being tender and caring and Thad being wild and adventurous, I really don't blame Phoebe for not being able to decide which guy she likes better. I really enjoyed all the characters interaction with Jackie (Phoebe's assistant). Toss in some turmoil for both Phoebe and Max in their work environments and you have a hard to put down book. The solution to all of our trio's problems was perfect and the epilogue the author gave us was a fitting conclusion to the story.
I received a copy form the author and I voluntarily reviewed this book.
I loved this story!!! It was sweet and adorable as well as hot and steamy! The characters were awesome! I loved Phoebe. She did not have a good high school experience and has finally, for the most part, become confident and comfortable in her body the way that it is. I loved that. She has a great job that she enjoys and is up for a promotion. Her high school reunion comes up and her assistant convinces her to go. She dresses her up and helps her remember her confidence in herself. I really loved her assistant. That's where we meet Max and Thad, best friends from high school, good looking and popular. They have grown up and become better people than they were in high school, for the most part. Once Max actually sees and pays attention to Phoebe he knows there is something there that he wants to explore. Thad at first goes along for the ride but quickly realizes the same thing. They take her home and have their way with her and the next week both ask her out again but without mentioning anything to the other. Phoebe can't believe that these guys are into her and so she says yes to both and goes on both dates without truly realizing the situation she is getting into. I loved how things developed. This story is explicit but it has a light-hearted, fun vibe to it the whole time. I loved that! I wanted to keep reading it and find out how everything was going to work out for this trio and was engaged the whole time I was reading it. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I could try to love this story more, but I doubt it is possible! Phoebe does not want to attend her High School Reunion, ( I feel her ) she was the outcast, bullied with no fond memories she does not want to relive, but her PA convinces her she needs to show them how smart, strong, beautiful and fruitful she has become. Begrudgingly, she goes, What happens surprises her, Max her biggest crush all throughout school and his friend Thad walk up to her, and her PA/friend and are seemingly very interested in what she has been doing! Max a big attorney for his lawyers firm, Thad an airline pilot had gotten themselves involved in a bet with a group of other past classmates, not wanting to back down from a challenge, they have to make whoever is chosen think they want a one nighter, Phoebe. The girl they had all picked on horribly for years, funny thing was though she did not look like she did back then. Max found her very attractive and exciting, Taking her home ends up being on the menu, Max and Thad give Phoebe a night to remember, or one they cannot forget either. Both guys want her. Phoebe is in man heaven! This fast paced, hot, funny, emotional book was absolutely perfect! I was mentally high-fiving this girl! I loved every minute of it! If you like curvy girl hot romances, with the woman getting hers- then this is the book for you! I wish I could give this more than 5 stars! I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book

This book was smoking hot! Honestly, my kindle almost melted! I absolutely loved this book and connected with the characters. I think I love Phoebe the most just because I was "the fat one" in high school and was picked on. I understand her pain and wanting someone to love you for you is hard to believe. She was incredibly strong and held her head high. I'm in awe! Of course Thad & Max were hot too. I did hate them in the beginning because of the bet but once they showed their true feelings I loved them too. Also, I absolutely despise Sally Sweet. I hope karma bites her hard! She deserves it! The only thing with this book that made me cringe was during a sex scene the word snatch was used. Ugh! I hate that word. At least it was used only once. If it was throughout the whole book I would have hated it. Overall, this was a great read. A super hot and kinky MFM with so much love. It was just what I needed. I would absolutely reread this book as well as future books from this author.
2 in the Pink is on FIRE. I’m not just saying that because the author can write about a hot guys with killer bodies with a mind and a very naughty mouth to boot. No, she has a way of writing about a strong, smart, witty and beautiful real woman. Not one that is stick straight and can be found on every cover magazine but a real woman that has curves and proud of them.
Phoebe was the voucher kid in high school that everyone and I mean everyone picked on. Max and Thad, best buddies every after they grew up to be men, are still tight as ever. Going back to high school for the reunion is never easy but Phoebe is there and is a bad ass. Jackie is a crack up and we all need a best friend like that in our life. The two hot guys in school have grown up more than they realize, it just took them a real woman like Phoebe to make them see the light.
The best part of the book isn’t just the hot sex but the banter and the conversation with everyone. I felt like I was there right along with them holding back my chuckle and giving them high fives in the corner.
This is a must read and you won’t be able to put it down. Reading the different POV from them all is the icing on the cake and let me tell you the cake is out of this world delish.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Come on Ladies and Gents too, admit it. At some time or other we have had a bad experience at school. Not being the cool one...well I know I have . Phoebe Pink ( love the name) always seemed to be the odd one out, the geeky girl but she still had feelings like everyone else. Well, Sally Sweet, (far from being that) loved to make fun of Phoebe and hadn't changed as she got older. Well basically, she is just a b***h. The only good thing for Phoebe was firstly watching her dream boy Max Monaghan ..then his friend Thad Hemsley. I really wished hard that things get better for Phoebe but fate has a plan. Omg what a plan. If it involves Sally well it won't be good. Making a bet...well they don't usually end well and in this case it is not good when you involve someone's feelings. The story of Phoebe, Max and Thad, drawn together in what started off good but as usual secrets get let out. The chemistry was off the charts between the three of them and it worked well. Phoebe's friend Jackie was funny and brilliant and deserves a story of her own and a man. All in all, a really good story and it was a pleasure to read about a real curvy girl for a change. No matter what size you are, you are still beautiful.
Cover: Super generic but I know this is what sells and even the best authors recycle this same cover. Professionally graphic'd so nothing to complain about besides lack of originality.
Editing/Proofing Could use some help. There was poor grammar at times and some mistakes that a good proofreader likely would've caught.
Character development This wasn't bad; characters were pretty true to themselves, good design.
Formatting Great - book is gorgeous and easy on the eyes.
Plot Completely been-done-before- predictable. From the first page I knew how 100% of the rest of the book would play out and I was right. A little juvenile with the high school drama and the late 20-year-olds still acting like they're in high school, but I could pretty much believe it, as some circles don't grow out of it. Just unoriginal. I didn't miss this book when I stepped away from it. Everything is predictable, but if done right, I can still get sucked in and enjoy it nonetheless. This book wasn't bad by any means, just not exciting.
I won this a copy in a giveaway - Tabatha Kiss is super sweet and I'd read more from her, as I can tell she's a decent writer and this one holds promise.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I remember seeing the title before hand and not realizing it was by Tabatha Kiss, so I thought this was going to be a smutty, speedy, romp. ( don't get me wrong I enjoy all of those things in books) This is the story of sort of the ugly duckling, growing up, being okay in her body that has curves, she is Phoebe Pink , bad-ass boss bitch. I loved Phoebe, she was adventurous, but still quirky . I would want to be friends with this chick. Max Monahan and Thad Hemsley are two best friends that went to school with Phoebe but never paid her any attention, they get sucked into a bet at the reunion and they lose and now they have to have one night with Phoebe as a punishment. These guys all of a sudden don't feel like they lost, they enjoy and want more time with Phoebe. This was book was the opposite of everything I thought it was going to be. There was a story here a hella good story that I was so wrapped up in I didn't know which guy to root for. I was so invested in the characters I was wanting more story, more ever after, more Phoebe and her boys. I happily read this ARC to share my thoughts on this story.
I voluntarily received an advance readers copy of this book. I just love reading books by Tabatha. Her stories just leave you wanting more and 2 in the Pink is no different. It's hot and steamy. The way the guys, who have been best friends forever, try to keep dating Phoebe for one another only to realize they are both dating her. One leaves his tie tied up on her bed and the other leaves a plate with mustard from the steak dinner in her sink. And let me tell you about the close call of one walking out to go home and the other showing up like 20 minutes later. Liam and Thad cannot believe they are keeping secrets from each other when they tell each other everythind and even share girls together. Now they have to figure out who Phoebe will chose or if she'll want them both. Can they handle that? Will they stay friends if she choses only one of them? Phoebe who was made fun of all through school cannot believe this is happening to her. But of coarse there's a catch and when she finds out will she leave them or will she forgive them? High school reunions still have drama. I recommend you read this book to find out the answer.
