Rate this book
The darkness swallowed us up, but now...
We're coming back into the light.

In the wake of devastating nuclear attacks across the globe from the evil, fanatical leader Ares, President Cassidy Hart and Uriah True have been forced underground. The militias have gone silent. The rebellion has gone dark. It seems like the war - and the world - has ended at last.

Cassidy and Uriah find themselves appointed as commanders in an underground bunker society, Silo Nation. Life is carefully controlled, regulated, and structured.
Humanity is preserved beneath the surface of the earth...or is it?
What secrets are preventing Cassidy from seeing the light of day again? Will she be able to protect her daughter from the evils that lurk within the bunker? What about the rest of the militias? Is Chris Young still alive? Is there any life left on Earth? Is Ares dead?

So many questions. So much fear.
So little hope.

When confronted with a terrifying but challenging question, Cassidy decides to push back against the toxic leadership of Silo Nation and discover the truth about the apocalypse, and the world outside. She fought for freedom, once...

The fight is not over yet. Hope will be born anew.

Step out of the darkness...and into the fallout.

Well well well.... this book... if you have been following the series from the very start this book then you are going to get all kinds of emotions in this one. I have read every book in his series and this is probably my 2nd favorite. I have no words... We got to see what is going on after Ares decided the world needed to be bombed - we get to see what Cassidy has been up to and see how she has changed. While she has changed there is so much about there that hasnt changed one bit. It is refreshing. I hope you know what you are getting into with this book, be ready to have a lot of emotions because if you have followed these characters then you will. This author keeps this story moving at a great pace and keeps you connected with everyone. The writing is well done. Cant wait for the next one - I will be sad to see when they are gone for good.

Resurrection: Child of Darkness was an action filled emotional roller coaster for me. The story line was great, but what really impressed me about this book was the depth of character development. I feel like I really know Cassidy like a trusted friend and confidant. The character of Cassidy's daughter, Penelope, was very well written and Summer Lane did a great job showing life from a child's point of view. Resurrection: Child of Darkness leaves behind some excellent questions regarding Cassidy and her future, and I look forward to finding the answers! Thank you, Summer Lane, for another excellent trip into the world of Cassidy Hart.

Holy Crap! Summer what have you done to me?
As usual Summer has crafted a book that is on point with her amazing writing style. She never fails to provide the reader with a great story and rollercoaster of emotions. From start to finish this book had me sitting on pins and needles. Every little detail within this book was so beneficial to this story line. I felt very emotion and every hardship. This book has me wanting the final instalment at this moment. I don’t know if I can actually wait until the next book. I feel like I need to know about Cassidys out come at this moment.
This book with leave you a jumbled mess of emotions, but in the best way! Isn’t that the best sign of a great author?
Be prepared guys for one heck of a ride!
