Wow, what an amazing end, for now
The culmination of the prior two books, where the MC has finally shown what he is capable of, is truly an amazing read. You rarely come across an author whom can blend complex characters, genres, and morality into a story that holds you awestruck from start to finish.
I've read both story series from the author and it's an interesting dichotomy between thr Underworld series where the MC is OP from start to finish and this series where the MC is built up in a remarkable journey where everything that has happened in the past is used to evolve the character in a realistic fashion.
I love the parts where Achilles explains that winning and losing aren't important, it's the fun that we have that makes us come back... so true and so lost in today's MMORPGs where instant gratification and meta-builds are all that's important.
Keep up the great work, and I'm really looking forward to books in books in both series...!

I had been looking forward to reading this book as I really enjoyed books 1 and 2 in the series. We learn more about the endgame for Freedom and Lucius and his guild have to deal with political intrigue on the guild council. He continues to train and improve his stats. Lucius begins a journey to unlock his psionic powers and continue his training. The combat in the book is epic and the Prodos guild gains some new antagonists.. He works with his guild and other guilds to protect the new city the guilds founded. The book does not disappoint. I maintained interest through the story and the ending is satisfying It sets up the next arc in the series. I plan on purchasing the audible version when it becomes available as I enjoyed the narration for the first 2 books.

Amazing
Throughly enjoyable read with a slow burn romance through the 3 books so far. The book has good character development with my only annoyance is that the story doesn’t feel as if it’s progressing fast enough. Perhaps the training montages although enjoy at times are used too frequently where they could be streamline in certain instances.
I’m extremely excited to see the next phase this book goes into with new forms of technology, warfare and political battles ahead. I am left wondering at the end of this book just how far the main character will go in pursuit of strength to obtain his goal. Could he even be defined as human by the end of it....

The variety of ways abilities can be personalized and training done in Freedom were great. This was a fun book. Still a lot of training, but we finally get some world exploration. Not enough detail, overall I think this book needed a bit more gaming. A big quest goes down, there is some good humor, and overall it is fun. Interested to see where this series goes next.

On of the most engrossing books I've read. I'm looking forward to more in the series. I really liked the character development. I found the series highly entertaining, and thought provoking.

Good continuation to the story, a little heavier in content, it feels rushed the way the author just finished hte one year period just to jump to the next phase. Still good work.

Fantastic book
This is litrpg lite, but the characters and story is fantastic. Very few times does an litrpg author do love interests well. Apollos Thorne pulls it off flawlessly.

If you are picking this book up, then you've likely read the first two in the series (if not, then please do or you will be lost with only yourself to blame). This book has more of pretty much everything from the first two, so if you have liked things so far, then you shouldn't feel any different about this book. Some of the character sub-plots progress and wrap up and more answers are given regarding the grand story arc.
I felt a little disconnected from Lucious...not sure exactly why. There were things at stake at various times, but I just didn't feel much tension which is why I held off on the full 5 stars. Regardless, I was still entertained throughout and I think this series brings a pretty good flavor to the table that helps it stand apart while also providing much of what people usually hope for in a gamelit story.
I would say that anyone who liked Cosimo Yap's Gam3 or Tao Wong's System Apocalypse might enjoy this and vice versa. They are all similar enough that they remind me of each other while still being unique and covering their own ground.

Good read and strong finish
Mr Thorne has set up a unique and well written novel. While i like all of his books, this series is certainly one of the best written. There were times that i wasnt as interested but then the story came back around. I do wish there were more unique pieces of equipment or specialty loot but also understand that the novel doesnt quite cater to that demographic. There were some abilities i thought might be interesting if they worked right such as using certain "notes" as a form of projectile launcher for range or repelling against the non organic stone floors and such to create larger amounts of movement within a battlefield. The book finished nicely and im interested to see where the next one goes as there is more freedom with Lucius access to the world and foreshadowed upgraded capabilities compared to the Codename simulation. Keep uo the good work

Riveting battles throughout the continued emergence of Psionic energy
This is all just training and testing in preparation for the real danger looming in the real world...
As victory is challenged over and over by near insurmountable odds, our heroes push their own limits to meet the virtual challenges that feel only too real with 100% pain. Some do not handle it as well as others and some mania is definitely evident. Yet, the “game simulation” that they are in has many challenges and tricks left, even if some of the surprises are not of the developers make...
The end sets the expectations for the next arc of humanity’s story and our worlds new heroes, growing themselves beyond any previous imaginations of power and ability.
The question from here is will the next stage be able to push them enough to prepare them for a war against true psionic masters. I cannot wait to find out in the next book

There won't be anything surprising in this third installment. More pining and training for our MC. We get a bit more detail about the magic system. It's slow and repetitive at times, but still overall fun.
It's a bit of an 80-20 book, where it feels like we're done 80 percent of the way through, and then there's a separate storyline in the last 20 percent. It basically feels like there could have been a book four, but the author decided that he wanted to move things along.
Overall, now that the "new world" luster has worn off I'm a little bit bored. I did a lot of skimming of that last 20%. It looks like some new stuff is afoot for book four though, so I'm hopeful.

Amazing book. My rule has always been that I give 5 stars to any book that I have a hard time putting down. I was able to put this book down, but only because I became too excited to keep reading. Strange, but true. This book deserves 6 stars as some of the other books that I gave a 5 star to were good, but this one definitely surpassed them.
There were a few of errors in the book (example: mean instead of men) and there may have been more that I did not notice. The book kept me entranced, but those couple did make me stop and have to read the sentence again.

Deep and awesome
I was eagerly waiting for this the next of the freedom series. The wait was looooonngggg.... but we'll worth it. The book is long and full of great detailed battles. The biggest part was the grinding self improvement. How dedicated training and focus can help one overcome many obstacles. Love it personally. The larger series story arc is revealed at least in its basic form and freedoms purpose is broadcast to everyone. I look forward to more psionic abilities and the push to improve oneself. Hope the wait for the next book is shorter.

Really want to know where it goes from here
What I liked about freedom was that it connected to the real world, and as the story progressed I always felt like the best parts were the battles between players, or “real” people. This was huge in this book.
What excites me is that appears to be where the next series / book 4 is going.
This book was a fun read and once it got moving it was a nonstop ride of fun. I look forward to seeing how Lucius continues his journey toward self perfection... and I like where it seems to be headed.

That was fun
So, I was annoyed by bits of the middle. Instead of being this light novel with no heft or substance, it had stuff that was uncomfortable and echoed real life stuff I hate wading through. But the more I read, the longer it all came together—ending with a gloriously fun finale that I really enjoyed. Hope the next book ends up just as fun and full of new ideas and twists.

Surpasses all previous books
I was really looking forward to this book and was not disappointed. The joking, progression, plot twists were all fantastic. I’m really sick of sexual abuse revenge plots so while it touched on the possibility in this book the author handled it well and moved on so it wasn’t a sour note at all. Looking forward to the next books!

I loved it!
I love this series and I didn’t think it would get any better I was wrong. I got better. I liked that the length of the book was longer. The characters developed beautifully together and as individuals. I would suggest a reread for mistakes because there were quite a few but it couldn’t take my attention from the action. I loved it!

Another 5 star
As I've come to expect Apollos continues to write exceptional stories, interesting points, fantastic characters, and everything a good novel and series should have. Book 3 here continues that trend leaving me excited for book 4. If you haven't already, check out his underworld series as well!

What an awesome piece of work! Well done Mr. Thorne!
I'm really hoping we'll be seeing the next in this series, before we see the next Underworld. While I also want to see what happens there, I think we all deserve the same treatment as that series. :)
Some questions still remain and I'm hoping we'll drive straight into them next time.

Amazing book!!!!! I couldn’t put it down when I started reading. I swear if Apollos doesn’t have Lucius ending up with Victoria, I will never forgive him!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait to see what the next stage is like! Please let the next book be out in less than year. I can’t possibly wait for the next one!!!!

Great addition to the series
Really enjoyed this book. I will definitely continue with the series and read the next book. Super pumped in what the next stage will bring and also a little bummed that I have to wait for the next book to come out.
As always the progression and leveling feels great and I like how it's a continuous effort and not some dues ex machina ability.

Awesome as always
Once I got going, I couldn't stop. The MC is relatable and makes what I consider rational choices even if I would sometimes choose differently. I still find myself rooting for him, or verbally calling him stupid. I kind of swing between the two. Excited to see where stage 2 takes us and how the upcoming battle will shake out.

Definitely a full meal sort of book
Really impressed with this one. Great finish to the first part. Lots of training, almost like a cultivator in that respect. A lot of great battles. Fun reading and I was very pleased to have a long enough denouement for dessert. Yum!

Ridiculously good!
This book escalated the series to a whole new level. The way threads that have been woven slowly into the story are pulled together is phenomenal. The way that stats and levels are expanded and capitalised on is fluid. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Great addition to the series!
I really enjoyed this book. It gives a much broader picture of the overall storyline, and it mixes humor, action, drama, etc., very well. I almost really enjoyed the psionics system. There was a lot of detail and explanation that worked very well.
