With You

Rate this book
Sam Wainwright is in his 50s now, looking back at a life that was, is and could have been, a life that has offered him, at times, both glorious happiness and aching heartbreak.
With You is Sam’s story, starting at the time he was six years old, and when a girl born on the same day he was moved into the house next door. This random circumstance started him down a lifetime’s path mixed with humor, friendship, love, tragedy, sadness, and ultimately an understanding of how destiny works, and that he could never run away from his.

“In 'With You', Jerry Price draws readers in easily and keeps the pages turning.”

"With You" was an entertaining read. Its colorful characters, storyline, plot twists and easy writing style all captured my attention. The protagonist struggles through hardships, but with the help of some special people he meets along the way, fights through to seek both peace and love in his life. As someone who spent a great deal of time both living and working in the locales of the story's settings (Manhattan, Princeton, the Jersey Shore) yet who lives outside that area now, it brought back memories. Mr. Price is an excellent storyteller and I thoroughly enjoyed the read. I look forward to reading more of this author's future books. Aside from the story itself, the cover design of the book is fantastic. Simple, but beautiful nonetheless. Bravo to both author and cover designer on jobs well done.

Having known Jerry for a number of years from our work in the athletics world, when I found out he wrote a book that didn't pertain to sports, I knew I had to download it right away. And what a charming book it was. It jumps around a lot, but that's part of the charm. You're transported everywhere with Sam, experiencing the majority of his life with him. This book has you feeling a lot of different emotions, but the last few pages had me smiling the whole time. It was cute and enjoyable.

Enjoyable and impressive debut novel.

Mr. Price has written a thoroughly enjoyable and interesting take on how people learn to deal with life's challenges and complexities. The narative flows easily and smoothly from start to finish and the character development is done realistically and thoroughly. I'm looking forward to his next creation.

Total tearjerker. The charming and vulnerable narrator meets some terrible twists of fate and struggles to understand them - very compelling.
