This was a quick easy read, both main characters were perfect for one another.

Natalie lived with her grandmother for most of her life when her parents abandoned her for the jet set life of Hollywood until they died. No other relatives she adored her grandmother but when on her death she leaves a stipulation in her will that she needs to marry to get her inheritance she is shocked to her core. In desperation she turns to the lawyer dealing with the will, thinking of only one solution she proposes, will Vince Taylor agree to help her and can she hide her attraction to him?

Vince Taylor never ever had any intention of getting married but when a distressed Natalie Johnson proposes he finds himself agreeing, knowing he can’t let her lose everything. After their marriage he vows to never see her again, But as time goes on he finds himself thinking of her more and more. Could he really want her as his wife for real and would she want him?

Throw in some goats and chickens you have a quirky love story. Great read and well written. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book. 4

He wants to step in and make things better for her, even when she asks the craziest favor

This is a sweet and interesting short story about a woman who needs a husband in order to inherit the house she grew up in when her grandmother dies. Natalie Johnson only has memories now of being raised by her grandmother in the old Victorian house on property outside of town. There she had lived with her grandmother until her passing from thyroid cancer the previous night. It seems her grandmother had some funny ideas which included bringing home 4 goats, raising chickens, have other animals and starting an artisanal soap and lotion company all made with the goats milk. She also thought her Natalie should have a man who would look after her. Thus Natalie had to be married to inherit that house was part of the will. Otherwise it would be sold at auction.
Vince Taylor and his Jacob Sullivan were the two lawyers who helped draw up Rose Johnson's will. They were able to talk her out of somethings but the marriage clause she was not to be budged on. The day after Rose' dies Natalie shows up at the Taylor and Sullivan Law firm just before everyone is is ending their Friday. Vince talks with Natalie and lets her know that there is nothing that can be done. Unless she is married within the next thirty days the house will be auctioned off. As Natalie cannot afford to purchase it again she is heartbroken and on a wild thought asks Vince to marry her. It would be a marriage in name only and they would still live their own lives just as they are. Vince must be starting to go crazy as he tells her he will think about it.
Thus starts the story of Natalie and Vince, along with a menagerie of animals.

This is a well written and sweet slow burn romance, with some sizzle and sex, as two people who are right for each other find each other in the most peculiar way and in the strangest situation. My only compliant is that there are a number of proofreading errors which took me out of the story at times, as I had to figure out what was meant by rereading the sentence and/or paragraph. Otherwise though this was an enjoyable story.

It all changed one stormy winter night!
by sewsummore

When Natalie's grandmother died she left her the house provided she married within the next month. Devastated by her grandmother's death she no idea where she would live or what would become of the animals her grandmother had loved so much. While visiting the lawyer she had a mad impulse to ask if he would marry her and was even more surprised when he said he would consider it and let her know his answer. After being a foster child he had seen enough broken marriages to decide that marriage was not for him but, the devastation and sense of loss that he saw made him yearn to help her save her home. This was a story that captured my imagination, two lonely people embark on a marriage of convenience that barely changes their respective lives until they meet again one stormy winter night.

Desperate proposal

That was a lovely story! They may have started off in a very unconventional way, but Vince and Natalie made a beautiful couple, eventually!

She was desperate to meet the demands of her late grandma’s will, and he very generously, agreed to help her out with that stipulated condition. I just had a good feeling about them from the start. The self-professed bachelor and the self-professed ‘awkward-around-men’ girl. Meant to be!?

I would however LOVE to know what happens to them in the future. I LOVED these characters so much. Even though it was a very quick read, I felt invested in them. Great writing! I give this one four and a half stars, simply because I want/need more of them!

This is a sweet, heartwarming story about a schoolteacher and a lawyer with good intentions. Natalie needs to get married before she can stay living in her grandma’s house. She goes to see her grandma’s lawyer, Vince and while there asks him if he would marry her in name only. He agrees to do this and then the problems start. He starts dreaming about her. She starts thinking about him all the time even at school. Neither one will do anything about it though. Will this ever been more? Will either one tell the other what they are thinking, feeling? This is a funny, entertaining, sweet, tender, feel good romance. It’s a great little story. Enjoy!

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

This is a really good quick read, I found the storyline interesting and fast-paced. Both Vince and Natalie are wonderful characters, both are strong and independent and when Natalie needs a husband to keep her grandmother's house she immediately asks her grans lawyer, if gran trusted him so could she!!! Vince had a troubled childhood and didn't trust in marriage until he weds Natalie and couldn't shake his wife from his mind. Then one winters evening he gets snowed in with her and soon fantasy becomes reality.
Wonderful story, quick to read, sweet storyline.

Marriage of Convenience turned real!

A good book, but one I had a bit of difficulty connecting with. For me, it started fairly slow and only picked up a little over halfway through. Vince and Natalie come across as very lonely people, and a little lost. They are able to fulfill a need in each other, and make a connection they haven't before. This is a well written story, and I'll be trying to read it again.

An intriguing love story. What begins as an odd request between strangers, turns into an even odder relationship. Nothing intimate or even close happens physically between Natalie and Vince yet over time they become more emotionally invested. As in absence makes the heart fonder. When they do finally see each other, it’s as if lightning happens. But whether it’s a one-time thing or forever, you’ll have to read this book to find out!

3.5 stars **** Natalie’s grandmother wants to make sure she is taken care of after she dies and puts a clause in her will that she must be married to inherit the house. Grief stricken, she propositions Vince, the overworked lawyer handling the estate. It’s a marriage of convenience and the go their separate ways to carry on with their lives. After six months, they each decide they want to get to know each other. So, what happens when they are caught up together during a blizzard-like storm?

Desperate time calls for desperate measures, but would you get married out of convenience?

In Husband Needed you would believe it would be no problem. Natalie and Vince do not believe in marriage, so no problem. What they did not count on was the spark.

Natalie and Vince made an impression on each other even after one meeting. Soon they realized they found someone when they least expected.

Husband Needed is agreat quick read that show anything is possible just if you believe.

Two people who decide to marry to help each other out. Natalie needs to marry to keep her childhood home, her grandmother's will states it. Vince is a hard working lawyer that is looking forward to clearing another case off his desk for a weekend off. A fake marriage in the beginning but these two learn that they are very compatible and could be perfect together. Can love really be that easy? A fast paced but smooth flowing story with great characters. Enjoy!

Natalie needed a husband to keep her childhood home, so she asked the estate lawyer Vince. I enjoyed the reversal of the usual trope. majority of the time it seems it's a man needing a wife. It was nice to see it reversed. It was a quick read with slow burn and not much drama other then internal struggles mostly on Vince's side. Its worth the read

A quick steamy read. Natalie's only relative has passed, leaving her a house but she must marry in order to keep the house. Vince is the lawyer working on her will and sees that she must marry. Can strangers come together and get married and turn it into something real? The story was interesting and they have great chemistry. Over all a great story.

I really liked the unconventional aspect to this storyline of needing a husband. This was such a nice gradual realization of want, desire and to the final culmination of love. Great characters with underlying chemistry that is just waiting to get out and find their HEA.

This story reminded me of Ike & Tina Turner's version of Proud Mary where it starts off "nice and easy" and (almost) finishes "nice and rough".
