Dakota Adams lives a simple, uncomplicated life. She's a born again Christian, in a long term relationship with a respectable man, and she's just about to start a new job. She's come a long way...

But her life is thrown off course when she learns that her new boss is the notorious Naomi Pierre, aka The Glacier Queen. The two women get off to a bad start, something Dakota just can't seem to put right. And she's desperate to, because Naomi has woken something in her that's making her question everything, namely her sexuality. She's going to get a rebirth of a different kind...

Winning Naomi's heart won't be easy, not when there are others vying for the beautiful woman's affections. And not when Dakota's battling her own demons that have suddenly resurfaced.

Her simple life's about to get very complicated.

Born Again is a steamy lesbian romance/drama.

**'In writing, punctuation plays the role of body language. It helps readers hear everything that you want to be heard..Also there is more power in telling little than in telling all...'

'BORN AGAIN' is a little of what the title entails and more -- it's raw, insta-love romance, fast-paced, wildly interesting with occasionally immersive writing of both frustrated and obsessive yearning.
Conflict happens be it with Christianity, family, relationships or friends -- and it can be seen as a painful reality of anyone's life in today's fallen world. In this storyline Ms.Lowe has acknowledge that no one needs to be content with any broken relationship or broken family because conflict resolutions are possible. Plus when desire is informed by one's religion then re-formed by both their faith and inner struggles/feelings --- it can root said feelings much deeper into the fundamental belief that being gay is sinful and not acceptable in the church. Like for Dakota, who because of the church she does not have the choice of following her heart in finding that everlasting Love.
As the storyline progress, interested readers will noticed that one of the main characters do seem to have the unparalleled opportunity to be a true reconciliator between her religious belief and loving another female --- while dealing with the catalysts of having a boyfriend and being angry with her best friend. Plus always in the background is her affinity to just use others whenever she gets hurt or rejected. After everything, she did have to come to terms with her somewhat internal spiritual thoughts and decisions in order for her to move forward without the church plus no interactions with others -- then have that honest to goodness desirable relationship with the person that she fell in love with.

This book is one hell of a ride – freaking bumpy and difficult and like all bumpy ride, nauseating at times. Reading the blurb, I definitely weren’t expecting the scenes/plot that played out in the book. Totally unexpected…for me at least. I’m not saying you shouldn’t read it but if you do want to read it, sure, by all means – but do read it with an open mind and leave whatever judgement outside.

Be warned… there’s plenty of angst, conflict, infidelity, drugs, sex and plenty of hook-ups; with friend, with strangers. I kept telling myself NOOO, she’s not doing that, NOOO they not going to hook-up but WTH!! She DID…They DID! Religion comes to play in this book and play a part in the MC’s life. My take…I’m a great believer of practicing everything in moderation. So live and let live!!

Interesting and helluva ride… Ms Heidi Lowe is one bold lady and it shows in all her writing.

The first half of the book was witty and fun. But things started to go downhill when Dakota turned into this spineless, childish, selfish, and outright idiotic person.

The fact that it is written in first person POV makes it even harder to read.

Born Again

This had me smiling ,laughing and crying. A story about a born again Christian called Dakota Adams she just got a promotion and being moved to a new job.She also in a relationship.Recommend She goes out for lunch with Saeed a workmates and he takes her to Mario's then leaves .A. woman walks in and they get chatting and Dakota tells her about. her new job and the boss who is knonw as the Glacier Queen Naomi Pierre.n Dakota thinks she is beautiful and cannot stop thinking about her. She goes back to work and is mortified to find out she has her boss.
This is a story about finding oneself,, abuse ,love and much more. The other characters in This story help you understand about certain faiths and beliefs.
Heidi Lowe did a brilliant job writing this and looking forward to reading more by her,
Highly recommend you give this a chance as it's brilliant.

I really liked this book, it may not be the best out there but what I enjoy the most about my reading is when our MC behave like human beings, I don't know why almost all the popular lesbian fiction authors always gives us this perfect behave characters almost flawless even and it gets boring after a while.

Couldn’t put it down

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m going to read them all. This is very well written and so good. If you have struggled with religion and being in the LGBT+ community then you can definitely relate to this book. And even if you haven’t struggled with that, this is still a great good. I super highly recommend it.

What a ride!

This book like all of Heidi Lowes books, for me, did not disappoint. She sure has a gift when it comes to fully engaging a reader. I felt every emotion from jealousy, happiness, anger, hope, joy and love.
I couldn't put this book down and now I am about to go to work on 2 hours of sleep and you know what?
It was worth it.

torn

Part of me loved this book and part of me did’t want to finish it. Very mixed feelings. I’m sure some women have had the screwed up life like Dakota did. That acted out that way and maybe even got married for the wrong reason. There were times when it was hard to even like her. As she put it she was broken and lost. I still don’t fully know how I feel about this book.

Good read

I liked the story a lot. Dakota really started to bother me about halfway through the book though. She has zero self worth and made stupid decisions/comments through the entire book. She was annoying, ridiculously infatuated, and a crap person overall. So, ya.... besides her getting in my nerves, good read.

Ok. So this book was a totally surprise ! It was so different from other lesbians books I already read and it was reaallly really good.
The main characters do a lot of wtf stuff but you cannot stop reading and of course it might be more close to the reality.
Anyway, this book deserves a shotttt even though the cover sucks.

2 stars. Dakota is a judgmental, annoying, self righteous, pain in the ass and I hated being in her head. She’s insufferable. Naomi was pretty bland for an Ice Queen. She felt really one note. The romance was whatever but the writing style is good so I’d pick up something else from this author but damn was this book a headache to get through.

everything wasn’t stars & rainbows, i enjoyed that. the timing of various emotions.. the serious aspects.. the wide range of personalities.. religion as a struggle but not a barrier. such maturity. some lesbian fiction falls flat with keeping things realistic.

this was a pleasure to read

The main character in this romance is far too immature, repeatedly cruel to those around her, and too much in need of psychiatric help to get involved in a serious romantic relationship of any kind.
