Two young women are kidnapped, their bodies discovered months later after being buried alive. The only clues left behind—their handwritten Last Will and Testaments. Has an evil psychopath from the past returned to pick up where he left off? Or is there an even more deadly copycat.
An intelligent, strong-willed woman with something to prove…
Emily O’Halleran will let nothing and no one stand in the way of finding the person responsible for killing her childhood friend. Not her five over-protective brothers, and certainly not the man who rejected her, the man she can’t get out of her head … or heart.
A warrior who’s willing to fight dirty to protect her…
Mason Croft may not be able to stop his best friend’s sister from investigating, but he can certainly watch over her. No great hardship, since he’s crazy about the tenacious, tenderhearted woman. Too bad he can’t tell her how he feels without losing the only family he’s ever had.
Will Emily and Mason find the killer before he has a chance to claim his next victim?
TJ Logan is an award-winning author of romantic suspense anchored by strong themes of family, honor, and loyalty. Her writing journey began in 2012, when a bunch of strange voices popped into her head.
Hoping to exorcise the craziness, she started typing, which simply ushered in more—as if she’d cracked open some sort of portal for fictional characters to charge through. And boy did they ever!
She grew up in a military family, lived all over the country, and was surrounded by five brothers … and, shockingly, lived to tell about it. She was also a key member of a team that managed a secret program for one of the world’s top defense companies. All of these things have given TJ an interesting perspective on life. And every bit of it goes into her writing!
Family, Honor, and Loyalty aren’t just words in a tagline to TJ. They are everything.
The employees are not the only lethal connections to OSI and the O’Hallerans. More than family and friends with wicked training and skills, family and friends of OSI are not shy to reach out when they have problems that could benefit from their resources and off book connections .
Baby sister Emily is a wiz at logistics but feels a little hemmed in by her brothers. And she has long had a crush on Mason, best friend to brother Caleb. Mason sticks by her side and finally acknowledges his feelings. With a clever killer closer than they realize, it's a race to put the pieces together before Emily pays the ultimate price.
Another big WOW. Book number 4 is in full keeping with the other 3 books. Romance, action and so much more! Great series! I am ready for number 5 !. I can't wait. This author writes wonderful characters. I truly like them all. It's so nice to truly like these people. Some books have their main characters so broken it's hard to believe they can be healed. These characters are very believable. Loved this one too! Now on to number 5!!!
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. This 4th book in the series has become my favorite. The characters of Emily and Mason were very well written and had a lot of chemistry. You could see the characters as real people.. The storyline was filled with drama, suspense and passion. The writing doesn't give you needless information. The mystery is enough to keep you guessing . I was very invested in the characters. I can't wait for the next books to be written!! If you're looking for a great book series, then I highly suggest checking out T.J. Logan's O'Halleran Security Int'l!!
WONDERFUL!!! I swear, this series gets better and better with each book. Each time I finish one, it becomes my new favorite. I am so excited for books 5 & 6... I’ll probably re-read the entire series again to hold me over!!
Another brilliant book in this series once again there is the perfect mix of suspense drama and romance that keeps you glued to the page flicking pages as fast as you can One thing is certain a T J Logan will keep you engaged for hours.
With five overprotective brothers all working for the family business Emily O'Halleran is fighting a losing battle if she wants her independence things get even worse when a killer starts stalking young women and one of those is one of her best friends She is determined to get to the bottom of who the killer is Mason Croft works for the family business O'Halleran Security he knows he isn't good enough for Emily even though she has crushed on him for quite a while but when she starts snooping around the last will and testimony killer he knows he will have to protect her. When she become the killers latest target Mason will do ehatever he needs to in an effort to keep her safe and in the process he may discover that he is actually perfect for Emily.
Her brothers have always been overprotective of Emily especially since an incident when she was little and she's over it, especially as two old friends have turned up dead and it looks like she is the link to them so she needs to be involved whether her brothers like it or not. I really liked how this book was not only about Emily helping to track down a killer, her relationship with Mason but also how both Emily and her brothers needed a reminder about how strong she is. There are plenty of great twists, danger, attraction and steamy times as well as laughs, sadness and family that has you turning the page to see who the killer really is, will they get caught before Emily is put in real danger and is a happy ever after in her future!!

Emily has five hypervigilant and overprotective brothers that have her back. She loves them and they can make her life difficult. Emily has been in love/lust with Mason for a long time. They had a moment together some time back and he told her it was a mistake and that nothing could happen between them. She is trying to move on. Mason can't stop thinking about Emily and the kiss they shared. He doesn't believe that he is good enough for her or her family. So he tries to stay away. When two of Emily's old friends is killed by the Last Will and Testament killer, it becomes apparent that the killer is coming for her. There is no way Mason will allow any harm to come to her. He will stick close to keep her safe. A wonderful adventure. I love the story.

The fourth book in the O’Halleran Security International series another well written story in this thrilling series. This is Emily O’Halleran and Mason Croft's story of suspense, drama, danger, murder, a villain, protection, and romance. Deadly Judgment has the perfect combination of suspense, mystery and romance. A serial killer is stalking Emily and her over protective brothers and Mason are using all of their resources to find him. There is the expected angst of the forbidden with Mason trying to stay away from his best friend's sister, but the author did not let it drag on and allow it to get tedious. Emily was also smart throughout the story and let the trained professionals do their job without any TSTL moments. Loved the story, the main characters and especially the O'Hallorans.

I loved that the characters were relatable. Emily and Mason had great chemistry. The story is well written not filled with a bunch of fluff to fill in gaps. Has drama and suspense If your looking for a story that will pull you in and holds your attention making you not want to put it down then I highly recommend this. A page turner!!
I loved this book. The characters are well developed and engaging with plenty of chemistry throughout the pages for the couple. The book offers a great storyline with plenty of twists and turns.

I really loved the dynamic between Mason and Emily. The book kept me guessing and the character development is brilliant. I’ve read the first 4 books in 4 days. I’m hooked
Emily just found two of her close friends has been buried alive and she determined to find who, but first she has to go through not only her brothers but the man she loves. Mason has fallen in love with Emily from day one but was too afraid his best friend and family won't accept him if declares his love so he does the only thing possible and that's watch Emily from getting killed or her best friend.
I really like this book. It was a great mystery that kept you guessing who the bad guy was until the very end. Another fabulous love story combined with intrigue This series is definitely a must read.
Deadly Judgment by TJ Logan is book four in the O’Halleran Security International (OSI) series. And let me just say, the writing in this book is the reason TJ Lohan is still on my Favorite Authors list.
Mason and Emily have been circling each other for a while now. Because Emily is his best friend’s little sister, Mason is reluctant to start a relationship with her—there is too much at stake, at least in his mind. However, when two of Emily’s friends are brutally murdered, Emily gets involved, refusing to be left on the sideline. The team caves in to Emily’s demand but, behind her back, Mason is assigned to shadow her to ensure that she is protected. The more time they spend together, the more Mason realizes that he can no longer fight his feelings. And with Emily probably being next on the killer’s list, the stakes are higher, and Mason will do anything to ensure the safety of the woman he’s fallen for.
Deadly Judgment was a huge improvement on the previous book, Deadly Deception. The relationship and character development were better. Our main characters spent time together from beginning to end. The suspense added depth to the overall story.
I liked both Mason and Emily’s personalities. At the start, I did not get Mason… He had convinced himself that a relationship with Emily was not possible, yet he kept on coming on to her (and confusing her in the process). But I am glad this story point did not drag on for very long, and once he got over himself, Mason’s protectiveness, possessiveness, and care were a joy to see.
Emily was independent, and I liked the fact that she did not hang around, waiting for Mason to see the light; she moved on and started “dating.” However, when they finally got together, she gave in too easily. It would have been nice if she showed a bit more grit and made Mason work for it after he rejected her. More spice would have been welcome as well😊
The timeline was an issue, and I was not exactly sure how long Mason and Emily have known each other. If I worked it out correctly, it was four years? Such a long period of being in love yet not “together” is not something I enjoy in a romance because that inevitably leads to uncomfortable questions in my mind: Did they see or sleep with other people in the interim? And if yes, how true is their love really? So many romance novels neglect this detail, and this one was no different. Nothing was said about Mason’s relationship history, and while Emily was “dating”, only one guy—relegated to the friend zone—was mentioned. This is a “me” problem, I know, but I like the fantasy, hence such things bother me.
Although there were a few issues, this book reminded me of Beck and Gwen’s the first book in the series—the storytelling, characterization, worldbuilding, and relationship development were on point. My rating is therefore 3.5 rounded off to a 4.
"A little over a year ago, Caleb’s wife and her younger sister had been taken hostage"
According to this book, it's a year after Jonathan got married. Which was 13 months after getting together. Gwen was pregnant with baby #2 just before they got together. Dawn and Luna were taken weeks after baby #1 was born. I've noticed this author struggles with timeline consistency. In Book 1 Gwen said she was almost 27 yet Nikolai said it had been 25 years since he saw her mom lol “I had no idea a twenty-three-month-old could get into so much mischief.” A year prior, said child was 19 or 20 months old lol
And authors who don't have the women call men out drive me insane “I cannot believe that son of a bitch put his hands on her.” Jonathan’s voice always got especially low and deadly-sounding when he was angry. “I knew I should’ve checked the bastard out before their first date." I highly doubt Emily checked out any women her brothers dated/married
This book follows Emily, the only sister among five protective brothers. When two people close to her are murdered by being buried alive, her brothers fear she’s next. Mason, her love interest, is determined to protect her while tracking down the killer. True to her stubborn intelligence, Emily refuses to stay on the sidelines and dives into the investigation. The tension builds with every page, and I couldn’t put it down. I’m already eager for the next book in the series.
I absolutely loved Mason & Emily's story, and so will you. Love at first sight to his best friends little sister. She is the only girl to five alpha males. She is smart, sassy, and loves with all her heart. Thanks, TJ, for writing an amazing book. I can wait to be able to read more O'Halleron books.
