I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Mary was out having a night out with her best friend Alison when the night is interrupted by two drunk men, one who thinks it is ok to feel her up under the table and when she slaps him for not stopping proceeds to throw water over her and call her a fat slut. Ben a waiter, her dads best friend and her high school crush comes to her rescue, the pull between them is electric and he offers to walk her home only it’s not her house she wants to go but to his. After a night of unbelievable passion she realises the implications of what they have done, but she wants more!. Could she really have the man of her dreams and if she dies will it destroy her dads friendship?

Ben couldn’t believe his eyes, he spotted Mary as soon as she walked in, her curves are everything he wants but he can see she’s insecure and unsure of herself but when he sees what happens in the restaurant he knows he can’t stand by and watch. When he agrees to take her to his home he knows there is no way he will be able to keep his hands off her, this isn’t a fling this is the real thing. How will his best friend react and does Mary want him as much as he wants her?

This was a great read I loved the chemistry these two characters have. Happily recommending this book 4*

I liked it. But with the way Ben revealed to her parents how things were between him and Mary I didn’t care for. And Mary acted like he was 100 years old in the epilogue. lol But I did enjoy the story as a whole.

SO I read the blurb and thought, yes! This looks awesome, can't wait! Well... I was turned off by a few things. The older man thing-- the my dad's age thing isn't my jam, but I said, you know what, just go with it. And I did. Why the 2 stars? Well, I was put off by the slapping of the guy in the beginning, but again, pushed through. The sex scenes and steamy chemistry was good, but by 50-60%, things went down hill. This insta love, I want to marry her, and propose right away? Um, no. Then he comes from her room and sees her parents. He's lucky his friend didn't beat the crap out of him. I'm sure her other books are good, but this one was a nope. Sorry!

Too generic and unrealistic

A 40-something waiter and his best friend's daughter... I mean, in RL, yeah, there are 40-year-old waiters that need love too, but in a romance novel? He wasn't even the manager? But he owned a house... and she has severe confidence issues, but she puts the moves on him? Honestly, if it had been any longer, I wouldn't have finished the book.. I wanted to quit 1/3 of the way through but figured since there were only 66 pages I could finish it. There was no depth to the story.. it all felt glossed over and superficial. Even the epilogue was a little too fanciful.

The holidays are meant to be celebrated with your friends and Mary was certainly enjoying her evening with her friend.
Until two guys showed up asking to join them and of course my friend says yes without asking if I was even comfortable and immediately the started checking out her out but honestly they were just creepy and it didn't take them long to prove it.
Of all the stupid ways to act in public those two jerks just provided how immature the male species can be.
Oh wow my friend's daughter certainly grew up to be a stunning woman and her father would bury me six feet under if he knew what I was thinking.
Ben was just trying to be nice after how those two drunk jerks treated me.
I know my friend wouldn't run out on me for anything less then a family emergency.
I'm honestly nervous about trying to explain to parents how my evening out took an unexpected bad turn.
However now that Ben's invited me to share dinner with him.
The last thing you'd expect for a guy like Ben is to see all his Christmas decorations oh boy he's a big kid at heart.
Seriously that man has been the inspiration of every single one of my dirtiest fantasies.
Never did I expect to be standing there as this gorgeous girl's chanting my name and she doesn't even know I'm watching her. I never thought he'd walk in on me but now that he's here I want more.
Even if I'm nervous and this is so wrong on every level but I shouldn't let fear
rob me of one single moment with Ben.
She's mine I know that now and I'll do anything to keep her even putting on my big boy pants and telling her parents.

Mary is out with her bestie trying to enjoy some time together when two drunk spoilt rich guys ask to share the table as it is so full, Mary was ready to say no but Victoria had already said yes. When one starts to feel Mary up, she is not impressed so pushes his hand off her leg but this guy doesn't get the message and just starts doing it again. Mary tells him to keep his hands to himself, He kicks off calling her a fat slut and Mary slaps him across the face, the guy chucks a glass of water over her making her white top see through. Then a man comes over and saves the girls telling the men to leave and never come back. When Mary looks up its her dad's best friend Ben. He was Marys first crush and now he was looking at her and he could see all of her.
Ben knew that Mary would turn into a beautiful woman with a stunning full figure. And he really shouldn't be having the thoughts about her that he is. But he knew he would protect her and if it wasn't for fear he would of lost his job he would of hurt that man for insulting her.
But what would happen now??
This is a beautiful story of excepting who you all in love with. No matter if there is an age gap. No matter if he is your dads best friend. No matter if he held her as a baby. It was now that mattered but would other people except it too???

Loved loved this

Brilliant insta love short story. Ben rescues Mary from an embarrassing situation at the restaurant he works for Ben recognises Mary as she is his best friends daughter. Mary recognises Ben a man she hasn’t thought of for a while but had a crush on him when she was younger and he his looking so good
and is instantly drawn to him. Ben takes Mary home but she doesn’t want to go yet and have to explain why she is wearing Bens shirt. Ben can’t believe how grown up Mary is and he loves her curves when Mary comes back to his place they end up sleeping together abut Mary rushes out when he reminds her he really should take her home otherwise her parents will worry. After a couple of days Ben hasn’t stopped thinking of Mary and needs to see her but not wanting to go through the front door and explain why he wants to see her he climbs up the drain pipe to her room. Mary hears the noise and looks out of her window to see Ben climbing up once in her room he asks her to marry him yes is the reply now how to tell her parents they are in love even though yes he is older than her and even though they haven’t known each other long they are in love, soulmates forever.

Mary goes to meet her friend Alison for a girl's night since it’s the last workday before the winter holiday. Being that both girls are plus size girls, Mary feels it makes her stand out already. So, she isn’t as bold and free with her laughter and gestures as, Alison. Who with her full curvy hour-glass shape seems to be. She is more sought after making Mary feel invisible.

On this night she is finally starting to relax and not be self-conscious. When two guys ask if they can share their table it seems odd. They appear more wealth than not, trendy, and had too much to drink, making Mary nervous. Yet they are asking Alison if they could share the table not, Mary. Never once acknowledging Mary is even present. They tell Alison, the restaurant mixed up their reservation. Now, thy have no, table for dinner could they share ours. She agrees, Mary is not comfortable with that, but hey.

The girls act like they’re not there and continue to talk, but they keep interrupting. So, after the second time Alison shuts them down, the one by Mary gets handsy. There are words. He throws his water on her head. He tells her he thought she would appreciate the attention he is giving a fat girl. Ben out of nowhere comes to her rescue. Knocking the handsy one to the ground and taking Mary to the back to the waitstaff area to give her a top.

See how she and her older friend connect. To find what they both been missing in their lives and find in one another. One minor problem he happens to be her dad’s best friend.

It's a girls' night out for Mary and her best friend when it's interrupted by two drunk guys who try to hit on them. When her "no" wounds one of the guy's ego and he dumps a drink over her, the man who rescues her is welcome and familiar. Ben is her dad's best friend, a good man, a hard worker. He's known Mary her whole life but it wasn't until he saw her that night at the bar that he saw her as more than his friend's daughter. He saw her as the woman he'd love for the rest of time.

This is a cute story with a deserved happy ending. Best part wasn't how they fell or how quickly they fell for one another, but the heart to heart Ben had with Mary's dad. I was really, really hoping they wouldn't resort to throwing punches. In all honesty, the action and emotion is understandable but not when the daughter is old enough to know her own mind. Maybe she is a little young, maybe she is a little inexperienced, but she knows her heart better than her parents. Besides, aren't lessons learned by experiencing life?

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Mary and Ben. Mary was out one night with her friend Allison when tow drunk men came to their table and hit on them. When they told them they were not interested, one insulted Mary and threw a drink on her. Ben was working in the bar and saw this, so he came to Mary's rescue. Ben was friends with Mary's parents and offered her a clean shirt. Mary always had a crush on Ben, but he was older and she just finished college. Now when Ben offered to take Mary home, she suggested they get something to eat. They went back to Ben's house and when Ben went to the shower, Mary couldn't help herself and when Ben caught her, he asked if she was sure she really wanted him. Mary and Ben gave into their attraction to one another, but then Mary fled home. ben knew Mary was the one for him, but he also knew he had to talk to her and they had to tell her parents. I loved this older man/ younger woman romance. I love how they were both so sure of their feelings. I think they were great together. Another good one.

His Curvy Temptation is the third book in Julie Scarlet's Obsessed Alphas series. This is a delightful age gap romance. In it we meet a curvy, self-conscious beauty and an older, strong and dominant male, who happens to be her father's best friend. Scarlet penned a charming character-driven plot. Our lead characters, Mary and Ben have known each other for years. Theirs is a familiar love. But then Fate intervenes and Ben saves Mary from a humiliating scene; thereby moving their familiar love into a different orbit towards a romantic love. As the story progresses, we witness their struggle as they sort through a range of emotions from guilt to bliss. Can they truly end up together? What will the collateral damage be with Mary's family? Will her parents accept or reject their relationship?

Scarlet does a remarkable job with literary devices such as dialog, point of view and descriptive language. Her dialog is solid. Their internal dialog gives readers a glimpse into their true struggles. The dual point of view further endears readers to these two. The descriptive language make the scenes vivid. Together these devices move this plot along and a smooth pace. This is a delightful read.

Hesitant yet demanding was Mary in this book. This 23-year-old girl woman is that a restaurant having a girls night out with her best friend. Two guys come up one is definitely drunk the other one is semi drunk trying to each hit on one of the ladies at the table. Somehow the more drunk and one decides that he’s doing Mary a favor by wanting to be with her because of her being overweight or curvaceous or a big girl . No matter how you look at it she finally stands up for herself and he overstepped his bounds and got thrown out of the bar by a waiter. Who knew that the weather was her dad‘s best friend. One thing leads to another is a short story that leads to interesting results. No cliffhanger though. I gave a 3.5 stars

Mary, a college student with beautiful curves and a gentle soul was out with her friend for a catch-up session on their lives. They were at a bar and have a nice conversation when they were interrupted by two drunk guys. One had thrown a drink at Mary and got her top very wet. To the rescue came a restaurant employee who knew Mary. Ben was Mary’s dads’ best friend. Ben got a dry top for Mary and then they left. Ben had always thought Mary was so beautiful and told her so. Mary had always had a crush on Ben. What will happen? Can they control themselves? Do they want more than what they have? What about her parents? This was an entertaining, steamy, sexy lust/love attraction with likable characters. I do love this series and think you would too.

Mary is out celebrating with her friend for the Holiday's when some guys try hitting on them. Mary tries telling the guy NO when he starts hitting on her. Ben a friend of her father's just happen ed to be working and sees Mary being in a situation that he corrects immediately. No one hurts a female especially Mary. He steps up and helps her, plus gets her home to make sure she's ok. However Mary does want to go home just not to her house. Ben takes her home and this is the start of something new for both of them.

Hot read about an older man/younger woman. Mary is a curvaceous college age woman. Ben is a man she has known for years, as a best friend to her father. When Ben comes to her rescue after some loser accosts Mary at a restaurant, sparks fly. This was a really good book. The steamy scenes were sizzling, and just might leave you panting. Great job, Ms. Scarlet, this is the stuff that fantasies are made of.

Alison and Mary went to a restaurant and were enjoying each other's company. When two men came over and sat down with them. They were nice at first but things changed. Ben is a friend of Mary's father, came over to try and help. This a great story of you never know when love will come into your life. I enjoyed this story. It is a hard book to put down. Another great read, with lots of chemistry and hotness. This is a well written story and hooked me from the start. This is a quick hot read, with a interesting plot and fantastic characters, great emotion and Loads of steam! This book is fabulous. It is an amazing story of an older man younger woman story. It was see alpha, f*uck alpha, and then love will come. Too bad because this would have been a great book if it had more time to develop the characters, back ground and a story line. Now I understand why men just want to have a one-night stand and women allow it to happen for what "if's and could have been's" too bad the story was taking shape up to that point and afterwards, even if the ending was just a wrap up.

You ever feel secondhand embarrassment for characters? They do something stupid or so ridiculous and it just makes you cringe? Maybe it’s just me but I’ve been known to change the channel because I just can’t watch the idiocy. Pretty much everything Mary did before the sex (and somethings during & after) made me cringe and not want to ‘watch’. If you don’t get that icky feeling from shows or books maybe this book will be your thing but it definitely wasn’t mine.

The author has given us characters we can care about. Older man comes to the aid of a younger woman and they have an instant attraction. Although he is the best friend of her father and she has had a crush on him, they have never acted on the attraction before.

The girls night out doesn't end as expected by Mary but I think the ending suits her much better. You feel struggle she and Ben have is real but also the connection. What will win in the end

Mary is out at a restaurant with her friend. They are approached by 2 boys who give them a hard time. Been comes to Mary's rescue. Been is Mary's dad best friend. They have chemistry. The story had a natural flow but for some reason was a slow read. The read was over an hour.

Another hit in this series. This is the third book and it is just as good as the previous one. Each book is a standalone but they can be read in order. Amazing chemistry between the characters. The story is a quick and steamy read. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Mary was a BBW. She had always had a crush on her father’s best friend Ben. One night he came to her rescue after not seeing each other for years and one thing led to another. Their fast and exciting romance caused quite the stir but was worth it in the end. Fun read.

Age gap love story which I love and the curves to go with it all. Love doesn’t define you, it makes you better regardless of the age. Ben loves Mary and Mary loves Ben but what do you do when it’s a friend of your dad! Well sometimes it ends up to be a great thing other times it’s awful trust me I know ❤️😉
