As the wildest and shyest of the Ragtown bears, Timon doesn’t expect to find a mate, let alone a human one. Rejected by his clan for his different-colored eyes, all he wants is to live in Ragtown in peace, running his pizza parlor. But when a petite, dark-haired human and her scatter-brained friend crash into town in their RV, his life is thrown into a spin. The last place Dana wants to be marooned is in a lawless town full of shifters. When taciturn yet good-hearted Timon comes to her rescue, she finds herself drawn to him in ways she hadn’t expected. But shifters are not to be trusted—at least, that’s what she’s always believed—and she’s not sure if she should open her heart to this most wild of men. Ragtown is a dangerous place for single females at the best of times but, recently, strange incidents have made even Timon feel uneasy. When danger threatens to ruin everything he holds dear, he needs to choose whether to chase Dana out of town for her own good, or fight to make her his. romance, heat and sexy shifters. HEA and no cheating, of course!
USA Today bestselling author Ariana Hawkes writes spicy romantic stories with lovable characters, plenty of suspense, and a whole lot of laughs. She told her first story at the age of four, and has been writing ever since, for both work and pleasure. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband and two huskies.
I'm disappointed that I didn't enjoy this book as much as the rest of the series. Skylar was so freaking annoying and immature; I could not stand her. The chemistry between Dana and Timon was lacking, and I wished for so much more from the finale of this series :(
Title: Wild Mate Series: MateMatch Outcasts #6 Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author:Ariana Hawkes Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Serial: Standalone, No Cliffhanger Genre:#PRN #ShiftersGalore 5Stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ •••••••••••••• 💢 Another primo book, always love to visit Ragtown. Listening to Florence’s words told Skylar all she needed to know. Definitely a Must Read!! 🔹️ Dana hates shifters, so when her friend, Skyler tricked her by going on an RV Road Trip and guess where they went? To Ragtown a shifter town, she didn’t want to be there, she hated shifters but then one shifter was really handsome, his pecs WOW and his pizzas to die for. 🔹️ Timon is a Bear Shifter, who never had a family. They literally threw him out, a newborn infant. His whole life he’s had nothing, he was nothing. Then he came to Ragtown. He’s now the Pizza Man. ☄️ This review is my own opinion, this author is one that I love to read her books.
“My own mother abandoned us to be with a shifter. You know this! They’re feral. Unprincipled. I can’t even stand the thought of them—”
Since a lot of parents leave their families for other people, does this mean the same about the people they've left their families for? Lol the heroine's friend should have told her that her prejudice is just that. Her hatred towards ALL shifters is irrational. And Jagger warning the girls to leave immediately because it's unsafe for humans also made zero sense since there's many human woman there already. And Florence being a dick to Skylar really irked me. She had no problem matching men that didn't want to be matched. After all her manipulations I the past how dare she get mad at Skylar for putting in an application for Dana. Is the author TRYING to make us hate Florence???
The series ended with nothing for Nikita, Ryker, or Skylar.......sad I thought fortune Florence's animosity towards Skylar was because they were mates
I really enjoyed Timon and Dana’s story, it was really cute. I hope we get to find out more about Skylar and Piper. Maybe Vaughn too if she gets a chance to write about him.
This is an OK shifter romance, but it was too short to have as much character development as I like. I wanted more backstory on both Timon and Dana. This one gets 3 stars from me.
I have liked Timon ever since he first showed up in this series -- he is a sweetheart, but very damaged and lonely. It was sweet of him to save Dana and Skylar and offer to let them stay at his home, especially when he didn't know them.
Dana was hard to like, especially at first, because her attitude toward shifters was not cool. She was sure that all shifters must be bad, since her mother left them for one. What a terrible attitude, and so prejudicial! She did get better after she realized she was attracted to Timon -- but there was very little reason given for her change in opinion. That part did not make sense.
I don't know if there will be any more books in this series, but I really hope there isn't one for Dana's friend Skylar. She was just annoying.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Timon's story is my favorite of the series! Timon never expects to find his mate since his parents left him out to die as a baby. Although he was saved, his life was difficult. Now in Ragtown, he has his pizza business and the support of the other shifters in town. Two human women come to town and one, named Dana, finds her way into his heart although he fights it initially. Dana has not had the greatest experience with shifters so it takes some time for her to accept that Timon and she are mates. At the same time, Timon's sister Piper comes to town and they start a great relationship. When it is revealed what is going on with his clan, they know the fight of their lives is in their future. They finally get some peace in their lives and have their happily ever after.
Honestly, I liked the series, Timon and the whole community... Dana and Skyler... Not so much. I just couldn't gel with them at all and they distracted the story line to much for me. I personally just didn't like Dana forTimon at all, she was way too prejudice and judgemental. Skylar was overly naive and using that but to heal from pain, had no respect for boundaries.... just no to both of them.
I hope there is a return to Rag Town as there were some characters that I would like to see how they got on... Maybe even character development for Skylar...
I was so excited for Timon’s story because he was so sweet and quiet. However, Skylar prevented this from being five stars. She was so ridiculously annoying and I’m not sure why Dana hadn’t punched her eons ago. Also, having to incorporate her and Timon’s sister into the story left less room for the live story and chemistry. Also, Dana’s background was mentioned but not really revealed with any emotional depth, which means there wasn’t as much psychological growth. I still loved Timon but wanted more to do him justice.
Through this series I've been waiting for Timon to get his mate, for some reason he's been my favorite. Things really didn't start out well for Timon and Dana, mostly due to Dana not liking shifters and she was drug to Ragtown by her BFF. While they are there, Timon always seems to be around and ready to help Dana when she gets into trouble. Dana does return that favor when trouble find Timon and makes a huge sacrifice when the big battle comes. I like how this one ended, glad that Dana and Timon both found what they needed in each other.
I have been waiting for Timon's book!!! He has been a constant character in all of them and I so wanted this timid bear to find his HEA.
Timon just wants to be left alone to make his pizza in peace. However when two women show up, one changes everything.
Dana had to grow on me. I understand her dislike of shifters but after a while it just got old. I liked that she saw how amazing Timon was and finally changed her opinion.
I think the idea of Ragtown was an excellent idea for this series. I have really enjoyed reading about messed up, emotionally broken shifters finding their mates. Timmon and Dana ignition be my favorite couple so far. So many questions about Timmon were answered and I loved the ending. Hopefully this won’t be the last book, we have more single, messed up shifters to mate!
The plot was good and the story exciting... But I felt like the author tried to pack too much into this story. Like they were just throwing everything at the wall, hoping it would stick. The POV also sometimes got confusing. It's well written. Although, I can't understand how Skyler and Dana are friends. Skyler is so erratic that she doesn't seem believable as a character at all.
There was some improvement! The characters were more developed than in the previous books, and there was a little more relationship development. The drama was necessary and made sense to the storyline. The spicy scenes are still not very well written, but there was a little more detail. My problem with the spice? Telling instead of showing, the content doesn’t draw the reader in or make them feel anything, and there really needs to be a LOT more foreplay than a single kiss before one-thrusting into her. There were also a lot of inconsistencies throughout the book with the story and the characters. Also…WTF happened with Skylar? This is the last book in the series and there’s no mention of a spinoff series/standalone book with Skylar and whoever she’s meeting at the saloon.

Timmon was a loner who mate was a human that hated shifters because of being abandoned by her mom. She loves this man and due to his not wanting to push his instincts on her she becomes more drawn to his heart. His protection of her and His natural ways makes her feel for him and make the first move. A great read!!
Expertly written with some wonderful characters. Some of the characters are old friends while others are brand spanking new. From cover to cover, page to page I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It has its bad guy vs good guy, a shifter finding his family and mate and a few surprises along the way.
Timon was abandoned as an infant, and raised by strangers. He is learning now how to act around others and finding something he is good at, like making pizza. When Dana arrives in Ragtown, his circumstances change. Challenges come from all corners, just to keep him on his toes.
Another great read from Ragtown. After mates that refused to acknowledge their bond they finally work it out. Between the bear fights, some action, adventure and a little romance they find a way to get their HEA. Looking forward to more books as there are more shifters looking for mates. And where did Skylar go?
Start off real good drama adventure suspense. Two friends on a journey one sneaking scary. It was keeping me on my toes, trying to figure out what’s gonna happen next. Somewhere along the line it turned boring. It wasn’t thrilling. It wasn’t nothing if it became predictable.
Loved the story of Timon and Dana, she had nothing good to say about shifters, and he wasn't sure he wanted a mate, throw in a crazy obsessed best friend and a crazy family and you have another good Ragtown romance. Looking forward to the next book.
Another will develop storyline in the series and characters that you just can’t help but love. Good they still interact with characters from the previous books so you get to catch up with them. Looking forward to the next read
Loved Timon and Dana's story, this has been a very good series. Looking forward to book six. I hope Dana's friend Skylar find her mate. Was also good to catch up with the characters from the previous books in the series.
I loved the whole series. If a book makes me smile and laugh now that is a great book. This book and series made me wish shifters were real or that there are men out there that are still protective and good natured.
So far I thoroughly enjoyed Timon and Dana story the best. It's not that the other books weren't good it just for me the characters were busy and the back story of Timon was very interesting.
This was the absolute best story in this series! Timon and Dana were perfect for each other. And the family drama? What the heck! Loved, loved, loved this story, glad I kept reading each story.
I really enjoyed this book📙 series, it was filled with friendship, loyalty, drama, action, romance💖 and love. Each book📗 in this series had the ragtag shifters finding their mate.
