The authors writing is more summarized events than active dialogue. That’s not a bad thing but it makes the dialogue parts stand out and more in-the-moment. Most of the dialogue is the romance parts or when the MC talks to girls in general. It also feels fake with too many compliments and little substance. Nobody talks like that all the time so it feels weird that we only see that aspect of the dialogue. The romance is too fast with no build up of emotions. The magic aspect is cool and has potential but it’s glossed over and we never get a comparison to other mages or an explanation on why the MC is developing so quickly. I read the whole book hoping for more plot that didn’t happen. I like romance and magic and gamelit/litrpg, but this felt too fake without purpose or plot. Great idea, not executed.
Enjoyable adventure where the MC learns and grows in his magic skills and utilizes different magical ways to make money. But, there was no action. There wasn't any fighting, no bully or nemesis, no struggle to achieve something wonderful. It was like one long note being played on a piano over and over again. Interesting yet bland.
Love the magic system, it was very unique. I enjoyed the interactions between the magics and the reality . I love storyline was kind of quick and I felt a little like it was kind of childish but it kind of goes with the book so I understand period looking forward to reading the next one
It's a pretty good slice of life story pretty happy go lucky with pretty much everything going right for the mc, kind of simplistic writing and the characters were bland but the story itself was surprisingly refreshing
A simple story for a first novel. Written in first person, I found the style a little inconsistent moving between past tense and present tense and feeling a little flat at times. Nonetheless this was an enjoyable read where only good things happened to the MC.
