Roots of Creation #4

Into Storm: An Epic YA Fantasy Adventure

Rate this book
A storm comes, with demon faces.
Jak has made it this far, escaping the clutches of the monster, Cain, and reuniting with her friends and the Fae, but not without cost. Now an army waits to destroy them as the enemies of the Fae increase in number. Jak must do all she can to protect them, but she may not be strong enough to defeat the queen's army alone.

A special council of the Fae and human armies has come together to decide what to do next. But even when they stand on the precipice of a potential peace, the emergence of a new, destructive Fae threatens to tear it all apart.

Jak must also face her past, including the memories of her dead friends and loved ones.

Armies will collide, destinies will be written, and the ripples of these events will spread across time in this, the fourth book in the Roots of Creation series.

I enjoyed this book. It’s written for the young adult but fantasy lovers will enjoy it just the same. There is magic and a fight between good and evil typical of books of this type. There are some unexpected surprises, a young heroine with too much on her shoulders, and the struggle within oneself to choose right from wrong. It reminds me a lot of Garrett Robinson’s Nightblade series, actually; but with its own twists to the realm of fantasy. It’s surely worth the read. I do not recommend reading this book before the first three though. I felt like I was missing key parts of the story but it was easy to catch on. Now I have to go back and read the first 3 just to read this one again to keep them in order before the 5th book comes out. Lol. If you’re looking for an easy to read fantasy series then this is the one for you. Just start at book 1
