A Sweet Reunion is the clean and wholesome version of Unforgettable You.
Some people are impossible to forget...
Dumped by her fiancée, Diana wants a life do-over. What she needs is a change of scenery and she just might find that in Starlight Hill. But when Diana is the victim of a fire and rescued by her teenage crush, she’ll be forced to remind her heart frequently that she’s sworn off men. Tough and wild Scott has changed from his days as a love ‘em and leave ‘em type, making it difficult for Diana to remember why she gave up on love in the first place …
Scott is an adrenaline-junkie firefighter with a wild past until a painful mistake changed his life forever. When Diana’s rescue is filmed and goes viral, his first instincts are to protect and fix. There’s something about being around Diana that makes him feel human again, and like he can be the man she believes he is. The kind of man she deserves. But first he’ll have to forgive himself …
This story is a sweet, clean, touching romance about two individuals that meet by chance not realizing that their lives would never be the same. Diana was in a relationship with a man for six years. A relationship that went up in smoke when he meets a woman in her mother’s bridal shop and decides Diana is not “the one”. Devastated, she volunteers to check up on her grandmother in the town of Starlight Hills. Hoping to not only help her grandmother, but also overcome her writer’s block. A fire brings Scott to the rescue. A man carrying a great deal of guilt. It was touching to see how these two not only develop a relationship, but how they helped each other. But will the past insecurities and guilt keep them apart, or will they find their HEA? Though mentioned in passing, the author reminds us that many of our troops return home with not only physical but also psychological problems. We , as individuals and as a nation, need to do more to help these brave men and women. If you are familiar with the Starlight Hills series, this is the clean version of Unforgettable You. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
This is my first time reading something by this author. I really enjoyed this story. It's a sweet and clean heartwarming romance that really touches your heart. Diana was in a relationship for six years then the guy meets someone else and decides Diana is not the one for him. Heartbroken, she decides to check up on her grandmother and goes to Starlught Hills and meets Scott. He , too, also has issues he is dealing with. These two inevitably develop a relationship, but more importantly, help each other heal. A very beautiful story I truly enjoyed and I would definitely recommend.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Enjoyed this sweet romance with Diana and Scott. She works at her mothers shop and was just been dumped by her boyfriend of six years and he is a firefighter struggling with guilt. They have known each other when they were younger and when she gets rescued from a fire it is Scott who saves her. These are two scarred people who have found their calm in the storm with each other.
This is the fifth book in this wholesome series. The story is sweet and enjoyable. The characters fit well together. The story will hold your attention all the way through. A great read on a quiet afternoon.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
While this is the fifth book in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone. I adored the prior books (especially the ones with his brothers and would highly recommend them.)
Diana comes to Starlight Hill to help her grandmother clean up her house. Diana's mother believes that the grandmother should be put in a home. Diana is struggling with her personal life at the moment. Her fiance just dumped her after being together for 6 years. She has lost her muse for writing. Diana dresses in a sexy lingerie to get in the mood to write. She is at a local motel in Starlight Hill when it catches on fire. She is rescued by the town's hunky firefighter, Scott. Scott is the youngest Turlock brother and the only one not caught in love. Scott is battling an internal demon. His army buddy killed himself 4 years ago around this time in the year and Scott is feeling guilty.
These two have some hurdles to overcome to get to their HEA. It made for an enjoyable read. This is the sweet, clean version of the story. Heatherly Bell has the same story but a little bit sexier. There comes a time when I just enjoy reading about two people falling in love without all the details.
This story is written in a dual POV format. I really enjoyed this as it helps me as a reader to more fully understand the character and to grasp the reasoning behind why they said and did things in a scene. There were also some great scenes where there were some funny lines to spread laughter.
The storyline was good. I felt misled by the title. It was a sweet romance and had no curse words but many mentions of lingerie and spending the night skinny dipping and at each others houses is not that “clean and wholesome…”. The scenes were closed door and not super descriptive.
I like the storyline of him saving her from a fire. They both had a lot of deep issues to work through. Nice that she wasn’t a cheerleader but an author and editor. Gave it a different vibe.
