Sloane finds herself captured, and in the presence of the evil druid Ardan. It will take all her cunning trickery and help from friends in order to break free. Now the real work begins. A war has begun and Sloane won’t stop until it ends with her and Logan’s happily ever after.

Magictorn delivers a satisfying finale to the Dragon and Druid series. The showdown with Ardan, the ruthless antagonist, was not only thrilling but deeply rewarding to read. What I especially enjoyed was that Sloane wasn’t portrayed as suddenly all-powerful or perfectly trained. Instead, the final victory came through unity — shifter wolves, lions, good sorcerers, Druids, and alchemists all standing together to reclaim the balance Ardan had tried to destroy; reflecting the world’s true design before Ardan’s hunger for dominance. It was a fantastic read! 5 stars.
I enjoyed this series. Very PG for my taste but it was a great read and I loved the characters.
Happy that I got my happy ending. Love those (take notes Veronica!) (^still bitter!)
ANYWAY. I commend the author and I’m happy to have stumbled upon this series. I recommend it to anyone who likes love and adventure and doesn’t need page-turning orgasms to enjoy a book!
Also I imagined the baby dragon the whole time as a wittle Spyro and it was so cute.
3.5 stars is my rating. It was good but it wasn’t why-am-I-bawling-my-eyes-out-good ^ there is a difference.
I enjoyed the beginning of this trilogy a lot at the beginning, but as the series went on it became a bit tedious. Especially the last book. It just seemed like the bad druids were impossible to kill, over and over, etc.
I enjoyed all the different kinds of beings from Faerie, who now lived on earth. There were so many things I enjoyed about the series, but every time they’d fight the druids I’d find myself rolling my eyes. Truthfully I think this could have been a one book story.
But I definitely enjoyed it enough to finish it, so if it intrigues you then definitely read it!
As always, I’ll pick up a Leia Stone book for exactly what it gives me: cute characters, light complexity, and a fast-paced story. This series was no different — it’s my favorite kind of junk food fantasy. I love a good shifter story, and this one had plenty to enjoy. It’s quick, fun, happily ever after, and makes for the perfect palate-cleansing read.
The conclusion of this story is amazing. The scenes are so well written it is very easy to visualize. I do not want to give anything away, but, I was very happy with the happily ever after. I would definitely like to read more about these characters.
This series was fun to read with lots of interesting characters and a few secrets revealed along the way. The characters all had a back story so they were not one dimensional and the ending was what I wanted it to be with some HEA moments.
Oh! Such an AMAZING end to a kickass series! Sloan has had a wild ride since book 1, and she has grew tremendously into a badass dragon. I’ve adored reading about her and Logan’s romance and the rest of the group and everything they get into. Leila has been one of my fave authors for awhile now and she just keeps kicking out books that become favorites for me. The Dragons and Druids series is definitely one of those favorites! The characters, plot, world building and everything about these books has been so good and Magictorn had me hating to put it down! So sad to see it end but it was an awesome ending and everything I was hoping for! Seems she could do a spin off if she wanted and that would be AWESOME!
Ms. Stone is always a favorite author and her series are always adventurous and well written. From the beginning, I've enjoyed each book and I loved how this all played out and ended.
So I set my mind to it and finished it without taking breaks (breaks= reading other books). Im proud of myself since that took a lot of self restraint. The Only consolation I had was that it was a short book and I knew I could finish it fast. The ending was better than I expected.
With that being said, the story didn't get any better. I could tell the author was in a hurry to finish this as much as I was in a hurry to read this. The story was like 200 pages! 12 chapters! That alone speaks volumes. She simply ran out of ideas and had nothing else to write about. The only reason she wrote a third book was to finish it.
I complained about the lack of credible love in the past two books and I am continuing to complain about it in this third one. Their love IS NOT believable. AT ALL! And I don't want to make it seem like that was the only thing I was interested about cuz its not. If the storyline and plot would have been written better I would have let this complaint slide. Honestly the love factor is only a bonus when reading supernatural books for me. What's more important to me is being able to immerse myself into their world. That's what makes me fall in love with them. But this was crap.
The only reason I'M giving it two stars is because the ending battle was awesome. Her descriptions and all the action had me on the tips of my toes. I was scared that it would be anticlimactic and I was so happy to be proven wrong. That alone was worth reading the first 150 pages of this book.
In conclusion, this definitely was not a favorite... Not even an "Oh, that was alright." Because it wasn't. I felt like I wasted my time reading this trilogy, I could've read another that I could've liked better. So that part blows. If you haven't read the first two books, then please do not waste your time and find something else to read 😅
I loved the trilogy, but didn't like how rushed the ending felt. I do hope the author chooses to write spin offs in the same world. It will be nice to know about our pairings after this conclusion.
I thought this was an awesome ending and definitely my favourite book out of the Dragons and Druids Series. I was hooked from reading the prequel novella Logan and kept reading even if book 1 had a couple of down points, like Sloane’s attitude (it was totally understandable why she acted the way see did but still frustrated me lol) I read the series in one day as I couldn’t put them down as I really wanted to know what was going to happen. I love Logan and Sloane and thought they were a perfect them, even if Logan wants to wrap her in cotton wool as he worries about her but he knows that she can protect herself and her and Isaac are the only ones who can k*ll Ardan. Sloane also worries about him even if she knows that he can protect himself. This book had me constantly wondering what now? Sloane is training with Isaac to harness her fire magic since she found out that her mum was not only a rare fire druid but the Queen of Faery’s mighty warrior.
Ardan the rac*st a*sehole wants to k*ll all the skyborn on earth and steal their magic so humanity d*es and he can create a world just full bl*oded beings, the shifters who the druids think are below them will be mindless animals since they’re part human after all. So Sloane, Logan, Isaac, Eva, Keegan, Danny, Nadine, Gear, Sophie, Rueben, Dom, Roxanne as well as some of Isaac’s mysterious friends from Faery need to work together to stop Ardan and his Druids from k*lling anymore skyborn. Rufus was my favourite friend or I should really say frenemy of Isaac’s especially after seeing how cool his gifts are, plus he’s so generous by giving Keegan the wonderful gift that will help feed all the skyborn protectors and the skyborn all currently staying on Isaac’s land in California in honour of his late wife who was a skyborn. I loved the ending and thought it was cool that Isaac and Sloane’s dream of creating a school for all creatures became a reality. I’m happy that everyone got their happily ever afters, well apart from Rueben as he d*ed an honourable d*ath by protecting Sloane as it was what he was born to do. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
Let me start by saying I'm in love with this series. I NEED Logan. like, NEED. *Girly swoon* Sloane was pretty great too. I liked how she was willing to sacrifice her personal comfort to change the things in her life she needed to improve. She is not a girl who enjoys exercise. **cough cough, relatable** But she does it anyways with minimal whining. At least less than I would myself. anywho, everything was going fantastic till the end of the book when things seemed to become rushed. There was some part of the wrap-up that just sort of got inst-fixed. I'll add a spoiler right below in case you don't want to know the details. I truly enjoyed 99% of this book but that 1% seemed slightly sloppy. *Hangs my head in shame for even suggesting such a thing of one of my favorite authors.*
This trilogy was a little too saptastically sweet, and brushed over the realities of both love and war, but it remained interesting enough to keep me reading. Considering the target audience is a younger crowd, that bit of fluff and fairy gloss was expected. The whole reason I moved from pure sci fi and fantasy genres to paranormal romance in the first place was the rock solid, cast in stone PG rating that seemed to be inescapable in non romance books. It felt like always getting half the story. Fortunately, this half story was interesting enough to keep me reading anyway. It's a great triligy to share with teenage kids who want to know why their mom's always reading, without shocking them too badly if they're a bit sheltered. I happen to be opposed to the censorship concept, because I think it sets young people up for PTSD as soon as they learn reality is filled with sex, violence, blood and profanity, but I guess it's going to become a footnote in human history anyway, since most kids today are far more proficient at technology than most parents can cope with, and are quickly undoing this short sighted, harmful stonewalling some parents hold to so doggedly. I'm hopeful that soon, when I shop for books, YA won't be such a bloody rooster block, to paraphrase one of my daughter's euphemisms for her menstrual cycle. She likes Revenge of the Uterus better, though. I think this author is pretty talented to stick to the restrictions of censorship and still have something worth reading, especially since I am usually so annoyed by it, I have a hard time finishing halfbooks that are forced to leave so much out.
Right after Christmas my asinine allergies ramped up (well-played Allergen Demon) - sinus pressure, earaches... so, I coasted on meds, whiskey, and leftover cheeseball (thanks mom) and binged Leia Stone's Dragons and Druids series - always a silver lining!!!
Skyborn. Earthbound. Magictorn. What you will love about the story (extremely abridged): Everything. What you will love about the characters (succinctly): Everything. Need more (why? but okay)? Sloane Murphy is a new shifter who discovers magic is real and that a s$!tl**d of Druid bigots realllly want to kill her. Thank Ricky Bobby's Little Tiny Baby Jesus that a pack of shifters finds her in time! Does Sloane uncover past secrets? Not telling. Does Sloane become a BA magic user? Not telling. Is Sloane's forever mate one of the pack? Not telling. Wait! Yes, I am! He so totally is!
Random bits that make this a feel good series to snack on: Logan, Keegan, Nadine, Dominic, Sophie, Danny, Isaac, Eva, Gear (etc., etc., etc., Stone puts EVERY character on a NEED TO KNOW more list) - trolls, pixies, dragons, wolves, teeth eating fairies, coyotes, hawks, lions, druids, sorcerers - hair eating potions, all-seeing eyes, Mother Earth power, tree healers, bare feet, purple flames - the best part, absolute friendship nirvana, love without end even in death, standing against intolerance and bullies, and last but not least, witnessing Sloane's discovery of a World with Magic.
3.5 stars. An OK ending to the trilogy. There was a little less coming together of allies and similarly situated beings to fight things at than l would have liked and l feel like the epilogue should have included a lot more information about all of the other magical creatures that had been stranded when the fairy realm fell. This could have been used to setup a new series about the school, but the school definitely needs to be renamed. Earth School is the least imaginative, lamest name ever. Fae on Earth Academy. Schola Terrae. Big Blue Marble Institute. Terrestrial Prep. Gaea Montessori. Waldorf Tellus. All much better options than Earth School. I would not send my child to Earth School, no wonder enrollment numbers were so low. Also, stop it with the incessant baby demand. And finally, we never got the back story on the majority of the characters. what their lives were like before the pack, how they came to join, their families, even how old they actually are. How did Dom end up in the fighting ring? Why was Nadine homeless? Did Danny's parents side with the druids? Where was everyone else they contacted? Why didn't every snifter from the packs they contacted flood their compound to protect the dragons? This was a promising series at the start but didn't deliver greatness in the end.
What a journey this series has taken me on. I managed to get it all read in one day and didn’t even notice the day going by. This story took me on an epic magical journey and kept me hooked from page one to the very end.
It was one of those stories that you keep glancing at how many pages you have left while gnawing at your fingernails as you just keep powering through. I was a little freaked out for a moment there at the end but was soon happily sated after I reached the end. It was literally nonstop and I loved every moment of it. I wish the story hadn’t reached its conclusion. I know I’m going to miss the amazing characters created in this book. They were so powerful that it was so easy to get lost in it all and feel a friendship forming with each one.
It was truly an amazing read. Thank you so much Leia Stone for being the amazing author you are and providing us readers with the perfect fantasy worlds. I love you and your work and can’t wait to read more.
Magictorn is the third and final book in Leia Stone’s Dragons and Druid series. The conclusion to the battle between Skyborn and Druids will come to an end.
This book continues on from book 2 after Sloane is taken. Being held captive and away from her mate and pack, how is Sloane going to be able to get free and defeat Ardan, especially when her staff was destroyed. More secrets and history will be revealed. New members will join the group to help defeat Ardan and his Evil Druids.
I felt that this book was a little rushed. The conclusion was great but so much was missing to make it feel completed. The dynamic connection between the characters was wonderful but I felt that Logan lost his alpha, macho ness and became a bit of a softy. In the first few books his character screamed strength, protectiveness and power but in this book he seemed to just settle in the background and do as he was told.
I enjoyed this series and hope to see more from these characters, I do hope that Logan doesn’t have to wait three years and he deserves so much.
Gahh I can’t even describe how much I love this series. As an aspiring writer majoring in creative writing, I take inspiration from beautiful works of writing such as this one. Leia, your writing has inspired me so much. The way you create & develop your chracters; the way you make them more relatable & have me crying at times; the way you flow with your words; it’s brilliant. I am so pleased with the ending. I’m pleased with the entire series & I absolutely adore Sloane & Logan’s relationship! I have a little smile on my face & tears in my eyes just writing this. The past few weeks have been incredibly hard, emotionally, & this book has literally made my entire week. I want to become a better writer just like you & create such fierce endings! Thank you for this journey into the world of Faery, Skyborn & magic. (P.S I hope you truly consider creating a spin-off!)
This was a fab ending to the series, though my one complaint is that they were all short lol not a bad thing to complain about because I wanted it to go on longer. Magictorn carries on where the last book ended; with Sloan captured by the evil Druid Ardan (I like to refer to him as a magical Hitler type person since he's rather racist in a magical sense), and the rest of the gang now needing to help her. The story moves really quickly and involves a disturbing incident with a 'tooth fairy' and some memorable fights and romances before the story comes to a closure, so no complaints there.
Character development was pretty good, Sloan really comes into herself in this book and Logan finally learns to not try and stop her doing dangerous things sometimes (when they are necessary). We see a couple of new characters too, which is always fun :)
The ending ties up nicely but I would love to see a spinoff series to see how the characters are getting on.
I recently finished the final book in the Dragons & Druids series, and while the content was good, I can't say I was as captivated by it as other series I have read by the same author. It wasn't the kind of story that kept me up all night, eagerly turning page after page to find out what happened next.
Nonetheless, I was satisfied with the ending and the way the story wrapped up. It was a good story and a great way to end the series. All the main characters got a happy ending, which was great, but not so much for the villains, who got what they deserved. I hope the druid master's vision will come true for the stray druids.
Anyway, at the end of the book, the author mentioned that she might write a spin-off, which I wouldn't mind reading if she does indeed finish the series. I'm curious if she already published it or if it's still in the works because I've read eight of the other series but didn't notice it. Either way, I'm looking forward to it!
Last book in the series a interesting storyline felt original. Don't think I have read anything like this before (I read alot) dragons in danger is new well there has been hunters before but not being able to shift and supernaturals coming to kill you is different of course one power hungry man is not new but the storyline was original and interesting.of course there is a love interest but it's more about them being dragons there is also love interests in the pack so was balance out with the team. My only negative is the ending felt like a after fault to tie up ends (the year after at the end) she is thinking about the past year and we find out who is with who that's great but it just felt very fast, think it would of been better delivered the day after the battle where they start talking about what they want to do now so we hear the characters thoughts play out then maybe time jump 4 years later seeing a new Dragon be born?
I'm so glad this was the final in the series. I really liked the creativity in the storyline, the creatures and magicky stuff. It was fun and fresh. I'm glad it ended because I'm not sure I could make it if it were prolonged. I needed Arden to come to an end. There were a lot of constant twists or "movement" in the story that really dragged out the end goal. I felt that way in the 2nd book too. Just when we were progressing one more thing happened and that cycle kept going. It reminded me of the movie Speed. If you ever watched it you will totally understand this analogy. Just when you think it's coming to an end....It's not! So for that I gave this 4 stars. After a while I just needed closure. Closure happened. Happy endings were enjoyed. The whole earth school spin off would be fun if it happens.
I gobbled all 3 books in a day and half I loved them so much, the drama, action, (didn't like the losses )I laughed so much I felt ridiculous . The Fiery!!! Every time she found out something new existed. The Goat had me lmbo... My favorite from book 2 "Because, ya know, I wasnt too crazy about heading to Starbucks, with Logan and the pack, and my big old Gandalf staff". I was switching from reading to listening because I could not put them down it so happen's I was brushing my teeth when I heard the above comment let's just say I'm glad I was over the sink because toothpaste went everywhere. So many more I was crying and laughing so hard. Love these they are keepers I never really read or listen to my books twice I know I will be listing to these again.
