Though the characters are fictional, but the stories are from amongst us. Each story will move you, touch you, enrage you and sometimes, will bring a smile on your face. It will make you look at the villain, the LOCKDOWN, from a new perspective.
Undoubtedly, the LOCKDOWN must have impacted your life too. Do read this book to find out if your story is somewhat similar to theirs.

⛓️Simple and significant!⛓️

🔐'The lockdown' depicts 6 totally different lives which has been effected from the lockdown. Somebody is poor, somebody is living an extra luxurious life, somebody is about to breakup or take a divorce and many more.

⚙️All of their lives were about to go down the slope when the PM announces lockdown for 21 days and it changes their lives in many ways.
When all of them thought life has given them enough troubles and it was time for them to end the relationship or end their lives. For them lockdown didn't seem like a bad idea. It has brought them closer.

⛓️During lockdown, people realised how ignorant and careless they've been towards their family/friends/girlfriend/boyfriend or anyone!

🗝️Of all the stories, I liked Ramakant's story the most. His story has shown the cruel life that a poor person has to go through, while we live a complete comfortable life and still complaint for things which isn't important. Of all the rich people, he was the one, the poor one, who was being the strongest, courageous and supporting. A man who just did not want to let his family sleep hungry or on road. A man who was a graduate and was still doing a job as a sweeper in a hospital ward full of Corona patient, just for the sake of his family and to do something good for other people. He was the one who was optimistic, who was giving power and hope to every patient.

⛓️Rashmi has put all the people together in one place very well.

⚙️And about the book cover, I was pretty attracted to it. Once you see the cover and read the title, you'll want to read it eventually.

🗝️Also, Thank you for the review copy!

"Sometimes things get worse only to get better."

A pandemic took the whole world by surprise and threatened to destroy everything that came its way. The entire country observed a sudden lockdown and experienced something that was never even heard of.

Humans faced the most devastating disaster, yet it couldn't destroy humanity. People got locked up in their houses, but their minds found the key to freedom.

Lockdown brought an unforgettable experience that provoked us to look deeper into our inner selves. It passed a strong message that brewed a change in all of us. And we came out as a brighter version of ourselves.

Welcome to "The Lockdown" by Rashmi Trevedi where 6 different lives get connected by one common cause: Covid19; and where one lockdown changes them all. The story stars a doctor, a married couple, a rich woman, an unmarried couple, a labourer and a NRI youngster. The book discovers their live before, during and after the lockdown.

The lockdown prevents a suicide, a break-up and a divorce. It saves a family from starving to death. It helps a son to choose between family and career. It teaches a good lesson to a wealthy lady proud in her riches.

Rotating alternately among the six stories, author Rashmi Trevedi weaves a wonderful tale that brings six people, from different walks of life, together to fight a single cause: the pandemic, coronavirus. All of them were experiencing life in their own way when the lockdown is announced and suddenly everything around them changes. All the characters are somehow brought close to one another in the same hospital where their experiences change them completely.

A short interesting read that revolves around the current scenario, the story immediately connects itself with the readers as it brings to life the changes that all of us are presently experiencing. Lessons, which we are still learning in this lockdown, appear time and again in the story between its narration and leaves us wondering for a long a time.

All in all, "The Lockdown" by Rashmi Trevedi is a must-read book for everyone struggling to hold on. It's a book to find some positivity within all the negativities around. It's a book that will make us believe that everything that has the power to break us also has the potential to make us stronger.

"There was no act of God which could be called a disaster. Something positive always comes out of every calamity, catastrophe or crisis."

"The Lockdown" by Rashmi Trivedi is a commendable book which shows the present pandemic situation. It gives us a moral of how to utilize our time, how to be positive and spend time with our loved ones. This lockdown has actually motivated us to bring out the talent which is concealed within us. In this book different stories are shared. What happens to these six different lives after the lockdown? Is there any positive change or a negative one?
.
The first story begins with a doctor going to commit suicide as he is eventually going to die after few months due to his illness. He doesn't want to die a painful death. But there is an urgent call that lockdown has been imposed so he has to come permanently to the hospital. His life changes in a second as he has to save others life. Then several stories continued like of a couple with a broken marriage, then a man broke up with his fiance, a poor man story who is a labor, then finally the last story which i liked is the story of a young man who is about to leave his ill mother to go for his job abroad. But due to lockdown he has to stay there at home. Was this lockdown good for him? Do give it a read to know these amazing stories.
.
I am touched with all these fictional stories which are so similar to real life. The cover and the title is perfect where a lock and chain is there contradicting the title. One should definitely give it a read especially after experiencing it.

During the current times when everyone is talking about the lockdown, Rashmi Trivedi came up with a unique concept to tell the effect of lockdown on people's life. In this book, Rashmi introduced us to six characters who were facing different challenges in their life and then came the lockdown and it changed everyone's life forever. With the stories of these characters, rashmi tries to sum up the feelings and circumstances of almost everyone of us in a nutshell.

Overall I liked the book mostly the concept and the unique way by which the author presented the story. I only wish that the cover of the book should have been a little bit better.

THE LOCKDOWN
Author : Rashmi Trivedi

The book is an assortment of short stories. These accounts are essayist in an unexpected manner in comparison to the typical short stories are. The accounts are unique yet interwoven with one another. All the narratives, the characters and their lives are influenced somehow or another or the other as a result of the Lock down declared in India due to COVID-19.

The creator has pleasantly utilized the setting of this Lock down to weave a story around it. The most exceptional thing about this book is that however there are high points and low points in the lives of the character similarly as our own, the writer has figured out how to show a beam of daylight even in such a circumstance.

In a roundabout way, it gives the peruses the message that simply like theirs, there are different lives too that are enduring because of the entire circumstance. Be that as it may, everything occurs on purpose. Nothing is perpetual and similarly as bliss doesn't keep going forever doesn't as well, trouble.

Since there are six unique stories that the writer has composed, there are numerous characters. Each character has something or the other troubling their own lives, which is heightened because of the Corona Virus Pandemic. Each character is one of a kind and truly relatable. The peruses can without much of a stretch associate with the characters. Not only that, there is something to gain from each character for the peruse.

The language of the book is fresh, clear and straightforward. It legitimately inspires an emotional response from the peruser's spirit. There are components of sentiment utilized in the book in various ways which I would call a trademark style of the writer. She utilizes a solitary inclination and presents it in alternate points of view which is the thing that I especially like about Rashmi Trivedi.

All in all, this is a light, short and profound read. One of those which will give you motivation to be hopeful even in the most troublesome circumstance. Uncommon notice to the writers thought of utilizing this desolate circumstance to demonstrate its positive viewpoint to the perusers and concocting this book in such a brief time frame.

Review:
The book is a collection of short stories. These stories are writer in a different way than the usual short stories are. The stories are different yet intertwined with each other. All the stories, the characters and their lives are affected in some way or the other because of the Lockdown announced in India due to COVID-19.
The author has very nicely used the context of this Lockdown to weave a story around it. The most peculiar thing about this book is that though there are ups and downs in the lives of the character just as ours, the author has managed to show a ray of sunshine even in such a situation.
Indirectly, it gives the readers the message that just like theirs, there are other lives too that are suffering due to the whole situation. However, everything happens for a reason. Nothing is permanent and just as happiness does not last forever, so doesn’t sadness.
Since there are six different stories that the author has written, there are many characters. Each character has something or the other bothering their personal lives, which is intensified due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. Each character is unique and very relatable. The readers can easily connect with the characters. Not just that, there is something to learn from each character for the reader.
The language of the book is crisp, clear and easy to understand. It directly strikes a chord with the reader's soul. There are elements of romance used in the book in different ways which I would call a trademark style of the author. She uses a single feeling and presents it in different perspectives which is what I particularly like about Rashmi Trivedi.
In conclusion, this is a light, short and soulful read. One of those which will give you a reason to be optimistic even in the most difficult situation. Special mention to the authors thought of using this gloomy situation to show its positive perspective to the readers and coming up with this book in such a short time.

Lockdown, from a new perspective.

In this critical time of corona epidemic, this book is giving a whole new perspective to look.

It is actually to see a silver lines in the clouds. It shows the ray of hope in this pandemic. It talks about humanity. Yes, love and humanity, the man's top priority over money and luxurious life.

This story includes life of 6 peoples. And how this lockdown changes thier life, those priorities and theirs beliefs. This lockdown period is to explain Man to check thier priorities once again. This lockdown period is making Man human again. To understand each others value and to love each other, this pandemic is playing its role to make people understand the value of life given by the almighty.
Here 6 different stories. One is about the couple who are about to divorce before lockdown. One is the story of a man who is struggling to fill the bellies of his family members. One is about woman who is rich and living luxurious life. One is about the man who is in long distance relationship and about to breakup with her. And one is about the man who is confused in making the priorities between foreign job and family duty. Everyone is struggling in thier own way but this pandemic clears all the doubts and make the all understand the actual goal of life.

my verdicts about this book as per below.
+1 for the plot how amazingly author knitted the story.
+1 for the flawless narration which makes its very interesting and engrossing one.
+1 for the every characters who strongly impacts our life and makes us think about our life too.
+1 for the apt cover and title.
+1, finally last one for the beautiful message, the book carries along with every stories.

The Lockdown by is a 2020 book about the lockdown that was imposed in India for the safety of the citizens from the pandemic COVID19 that is spread across the world. The author explores stories of six lives who were at a life-changing moments of their lives and how the announcement of the lockdown takes a turn in their lives and changes it.
.
Rajesh,Ramakant,Divya,Samar, Saurabh and Vijay people like you and me tell their stories.
.
The book is stories of us and the stories help us see what the others were going through the lockdown and how things changed.
.
The author attempts to show us the positive people are not able to see in these trying times for the entire world and gives us a lesson that we don't have any control on this practically invisible virus and though so many lives are lost and has left so many homeless and without families,

Trivedi sees the 'ray of hope' in this and urges us to see the lockdown from a new perspective.
.
Though it's easier said than done, this pandemic has changed the way we look at life just like the six characters.
.
Her emotional quotient in all stories are the aspects that remind you of the famous dialogue/song " Har Pal yahan jee bhar jiyo, Jo hai sama KAL HO NA HO. ( Live every moment of your life, what is there today might not be there tomorrow)
.
We all are feeling weird, scared, sad and all the negative things we can think or feel. Here's something for you to read and bring out the positive in your life.
.
If you aren't able to read anything else, read this small read.

THE LOCKDOWN- RASHMI TRIVEDI

Ratings: 3.5/5⭐
Genre: Fiction; Anthology
Number of Pages: 82
Format: Kindle
Publisher: Bluerose Publishers

The Lockdown by Rashmi Trivedi narrates the story of six people and how this lockdown changes their lives. The six people-- Dr. Rajesh, Samar, Saurabh, Vijay, Ramakant and Divya who lived a live based on various principles and assumptions, apparently changed their perspectives and they decide to live a more healthy and meaningful life in this Lockdown.

Out of the six stories, the ones of Dr. Rajesh and Ramakant I found the most inspiring. It is because of 'Corona warriors' like them that we still hope to come out of this pandemic alive. The others who were infected with Covid-19, fought their battles valiantly, and got recovered soon. They learnt that life had given them a second chance and they should lead a humble and healthy life henceforth. The Lockdown also helped people enhance their relationships and connect better.

The author has made an effort to put forward the optimistic side of this lockdown to spread positivity, with a message to look at the brighter picture in every situation. However, when I read the title of the book, I was expecting pretty more from the book. I mean, there's so much you can talk about when you're speaking of lockdown. I felt a lot of things were missed out.

Overall, it's a short and simple read and many people might find it relatable so can give it a shot!

The lockdown is a contemporary fiction which connects lives in the global pandemic period. It shows life during this arduous period in which everyone has an apparent fear of the deadly virus.
The book arranged in three parts. First part tells the stories before the lockdown in which people shocked when suddenly pm announced the complete lock for 21 days. Many lives affected by this sudden action & people agree to cooperate with all in this period.
The author in this part created some characters & portrayed some different life stories. Different situation & different feelings. Like care for parents, to serve humanity & care for love.
The second part further proceeds the stories of above characters with new characters. It names 'The lockdown'. Here we can read stories of infected people & their life experiences. The best part is that the separate stories are connected in a loving manner. Sach character teachers a lot to the reader. Here we can find many life lessons. Like devotion toward duty of ramakant, love from Saurabh and Srishti, caring of Samar for his wife, the pain of separation, have a responsibility towards parents & victory of love beyond death limits.
The third part is After lockdown where stories wrap up & lead a conclusion.
Overall it is enjoyable & a heart-touching read.

The Lockdown. On 24th March, life in India came to a standstill, with the announcement of the LOCKDOWN due to the Covid-19 crisis. The book starts a few days before the lockdown starts, from 22nd March - the "Janta Curfew". It tells us the story of six people from various paths of life and how the lockdown changed their lives. It shows us the risks the doctors and hospital staff are taking to take care of us in this crisis situation. It showed us how we have become distant from our loved ones, and this forced lockdown situation has helped us communicate with our family and partners and make that bond stronger and more meaningful.
It is a short read. But a good read. The only thing I felt was that the plight of people during the lockdown was not focussed. That side could have also been shown a little. Also, I felt that the lives of the two couples in the story was a bit similar. However, it is a light read. I was a little scared that it was be a very serious and tragic kind of book, and I was glad that it wasn't like that. It helped us not be scared of the situation and instead showed us that this is a beautiful time to strengthen connections with the people we love and care about.

*Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place*
This is one of a kind books involving the present crisis, Covid-19.
This book possesses the story of 6 different people who are not connected to each other but fall together because of Coronavirus. There is learning from every story.
The story of a poor man spreading the faith to help the victims.
The story of a young couple who are reunited.
The story of a rich lady who shifts her priorities and finds her love.
The story of an ill doctor who saves many lives.
The story of a son who relocates to India.
The story of an old couple who lost their son and about to get divorced.
Most of our problems sow the seeds because we assume things and never try enough from our end.
Lockdown has given us time, to stop assuming things and start discussing.
Lockdown has given us time, to try enough and succeed in every relation.
Lockdown has given rise to a new religion-humanity.
“There were stories of sufferings, stories of grief, stories of mistrust, and yet, if you go deeper into the stories, there was always an underlying story of survival, a story of strength and a story of victory.”
Make use of this lockdown to read “Lockdown” by Rashmi Trivedi.

A cover which is appealing and different which shows a locked gate which does collab with the the title "The Lockdown" which now a days we are accustomed to hear with Pandemic which is making everyone life in a standstill.

As the title and the cover suggest the book revolves around a similar pandemic situation which we are going through now. The book consists of 6 short stories which travels through the personal life of people. Lockdown has impacted everyone of us , but the nature and the dept of impact sure difference in most cases. Each people can either survive or perish it depends on the persons perspective of life. Even in such difficult time there are people who fight for their dreams and loved ones and does get to know their actual happiness and goals

The language in the book is simple english and easy to understand. The narration of the book scores more as far as I think , because on nature in which each of the characters is been portrayed and their life is discussed in a very few words.

I liked the positive vibe the story brought in the ends and that pleasing to know. One thing I would loved to see was a little elaboration of the plots and the connection between the characters. Overall a good one time read.

Critically talking about the book, it is a fast-moving book with a low cost of maintenance with the story, Each story in the book has given some thoughtfulness and positivity. The writer has used a simple language to narrate her story which she has in mind. The characters of the stories are well built and the construction of their individuality has changed me from within.

"There is no substitute for love & belonging. No riches can fill the heart as love does. "
This book , as its title suggests is about the lockdown due to COVID-19 & its various aspects on different people. The difference though is that the author has tried to put forward positive side of corona on families, relationships, & people in general. I particularly liked the character of Ramakant, his humbleness, & his way with people to serve, & most of all how family lies at the centre of what he does. I do agree with the author that this time did give all of us time to reflect on our short-comings & also to mend them before it gets too late. Where we all were busy with lives, this did put everything in pause, like in Divya's life. Though each story is different, I did feel some striking similarities in them, which I didn't really like. I mean, this pandemic has drastic effects, so to contain all of it a book might not be an easy feat. But, nevertheless a fine attempt at it.

As we can all guess, this book will relate to our everyday lives dealing with the present situation. We are locked in our homes as of pandemic but what holds us is our humanity. The book shows us the optimistic side of a pandemic where we can utilize the time for ourselves, heal our hearts, and spend time with our families. We will be able to witness a 32- year old doctor named Rajesh who was certified to live only for a few months. I literally loved how the author has connected the present reality to the story. There are 6 stories with the central theme of the pandemic. All the stories will show us the reality but it could have been better if each story gives us value rather than conveying the usual story. I appreciate the efforts of the author in bringing this book during this quarantine time.

The lockdown by Rashmi Trivedi is a great book to read especially during these lockdown days. It has six stories of six different people with a common theme of the pandemic going on in the world. All these beautiful stories shows us the current reality of the world. Each character is from different background and all are facing some issues when the lockdown was announced. The book takes us through the journey of all these characters during the lockdown and shows how the lockdown has affected them and how they all deal with it.

I personally liked the story of SAURABH the most as he discoveres many things about his life during these days. Book : The Lockdown by Rashmi Trivedi.
Cover of the book reflects the present scenario of the lock down with locks and chains. The title is apt with the cover.
This book is based on short and simple 6 stories which are explained in a good manner.
As it is said, Everyone is fighting their own battle. Same goes with the book. Minimum characters in each story and happiness as well the adverse effects of lockdown has impacted life. In our busy schedule being working with the tick tock of the clock, this Lockdown period has given a time to know each other. Be it being together, parenting, self and family care. This is what the stories about.
I would congratulate the Author for her first book as well writing the book on the current scenario.
This book is a soothing read during this pandemic.

Its a short read book based on the life of six different people , who are very different from each other and got stuck in lockdown due to sudden announcement of our respected prime minister.
.
One of them was Dr Rajeev who is in the middle of attempting sucide while he got a call from hospital and got to know about lockdown , how he changed his mind and what happen next is all described very beautifully in the novel.
.
The novel is divided into three parts.
Before lockdown
During lock down
After lockdown
.
The language used was simple and easy..and the story of every person described here has something beautiful.
The novel tells how lockdown effect their lives and changed it.

The Lockdown

Author- Rashmi Trivedi
Genre- modern fiction
Rating- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a book suitable to read in this time of corona virus 🦠 when the world is struggling. It is making everyone suffer, this book is a hope, it has a lot of positivity.

This is a combination of 6 different people and their individual struggles and their victory stories. There are so many life lessons to learn and above all humanity.

I especially loved the story of Ramakant.
The sikh elderly couple could have been more elaborated or eliminated completely.

All in all a positive read in testing times.

QAOD: what did you do in the lockdown time? Any fun or lovely memories?

This ebook shows how the lives of people are tuned upside down by an unprecedented event. People find meaning in their lives, re-examine their priorities and become better moral individuals by fire and brimstone. A short read, it follows the lives from six people in differing walks of life, who find meaning in life through charity and suffering. An interesting read, especially the end when they all find themselves in the same enclosed space

The Lockdown by Rashmi Trivedi is a collection of six different stories during the pandemic situation which holds the positivity in this critical situation.
As per the title, all the stories are about lockdown. All the plot and characters are fictional but it describes the present situation we are facing in our life now. Every character in these stories have perfectly weaven and story is well plotted. As always narration is excellent. Title is apt to the plot and lucid language used. Its a perfect book to read in this time. It refreshed and gave an impact of positivity which much needed in this situation. I really enjoyed the book.

Lockdown is a story of six different families effected by the sudden lockdown. The book is basically the journey of 6 different characters coping up with their problems while stuck at home.
It talks about developing better relationships and getting into stronger bondings.

The journey of all these people goes through the up and downs of their finances, expenses and everything that they never thought could effect them.

Some Stories had sad endings but a beautiful moral. Indeed it was good idea to write down the about the lives of different people stuck in lockdown.

I am not a very good fan of the book cover. The language used is easy and subtle. Not very engaging but contains quite beautiful morals.
