I’m not much of a New Year’s resolutions kind of girl, but I do have two intentions this January:
1. Find the perfect place to start my yoga studio—hello, independence! 2. Move to my own apartment because twenty-eight’s too old for a roommate, anyway.
When I finally find the perfect building, Parker Atwood has to show up from my past to ruin everything. My high school nemesis is three thousand miles from Hawaii, bidding against me for the one place that checks both goals off my list in one fell swoop.
Grownup Parker with his rock star reputation and smoldering eyes. Parker, whose charismatic smile makes a traitor of my heart.
I should power-walk for the Seattle hills, but he offers me a deal I can’t pass up—rather than outbid me, he’ll split the space with me—and the rent. Yoga studio by day, recording studio for his broody music by night. I can have my dream, but only if Parker comes too.
Now I have two new intentions:
1. Try not to strangle Parker Atwood. It would be bad for business. 2. Don’t fall for him either.
Renting with the Rival is a light, fun, enemies-to-lovers romance packed with chemistry, banter, and rock star vibes. It’s part of the Awkward Arrangements series, so you’ll see recurring characters, but it can be read as a standalone. As always, it comes with a guaranteed HEA!

True story.
Tanya has done it again with this enemies to lovers romance. This story has so much heart, love and lots of laughs.
Parker and Molly story began when they were both in high school. And let’s just say when they meet again years later it isn’t so pleasant. With both of them wanting to rent a space Parker for his band. Molly for her yoga studio. They need to find a resolution once Parker come up with plan. Where Molly can use in the day and he can use at night for practice. But little did they know spending sometime together will lead for them to get together.
This story had me laughing from the very beginning it was great to see how everything played out. To see the trust Molly looks for n Parker and to see Parker find his way to writing once again. They both found one another in the right time of their lives.
Calling all rom com readers. This book is sure to spice up your reading. I have not read the first book in this series but after finishing this one, I do want to go back and read the first book. There were many hilarious moments. I can truthfully say that I had a great, fun time reading this book.
Parker and Molly make a great couple and balanced each other out. They share some witty banter. Not to mention hot sex! I liked that they did not hook up until about midway through the story. This way it felt more real.
The guys in the band helped with the humor as well. They called Parker out. That is what "Bros" are there for right. Renting with the Rival is sure to make the temperature rise even more during these hot summer days and nights!
Tanya writes some of the sweetest but sexy stories out there people.
Parker and Molly are just another couple to add to the list. I adored their story. From high school enemies, well sort of, to now renting a shop together. That is so cool. I loved the storyline of how they come to rent the same shop together and how it all works out.
Molly is all things yoga. Of course she would want to open her own yoga studio. I mean that’s about 90% her wardrobe lol. But when she goes to rent the shop she has saved and had her eye one, she runs into the very last person she ever thought she would see again
Parker is an up and coming rock star. He gets noticed from time to time but isn’t all that crazy yet. But he has seem to lost his motivation to write and play music. He hopes this new shop, turn studio, will help him get back into playing and writing again. Little did he know he would run into the best motivation of all.
If you love sweet but sexy love stories than look no further people! Check out the rest of Tanya’s books as well. They all are incredible.
Making compromises This enemies-to-lovers romance book is about Parker and Molly. The pair haven’t seen in each other in years, and they didn’t end things well back then. They are both now coincidentally interested in renting the same space, but for very different purposes. Parker wants to use it for his band’s practise, and Molly wants to use it as a yoga studio. They are going to have to get over any ill-feelings for each other and actually talk, in order to negotiate and compromise their needs for the space. The story is funny, sarcastic, entertaining and steamy! It goes to show how miscommunication and stubbornness can really work against what you really want. Wow. So if you enjoyed the first of the awkward series you're gonna love this one! Enemies to lovers? Yes please! Strong independent Yoga teacher? Yes please! Sexy talented rockstar? Yes please!! Laughs? Steam? Romance? And cuteness? All wrapped into one? Yes yes yes and yes please!!! Oh and the mention of the characters from the previous book? Love that! Tanya just keeps bringing it. Even after you think she can't top herself she does. Definitely recommend to all romcom lovers!

This is book two in the Awkward Arrangements series and I loved Parker and Molly. They were well developed and well written, it's a fast paced quick enemies to lovers, room mates renters story where they have great chemistry and banter together that grabbed me form the beginning. The book was fun, quick romance that was an entertaining read.

I had a lot of issues with this. The relationship in their past (which was in high school) wasn't particularly clear to me. I didn't want a flashback, but more explanation (or perhaps clearer writing) about their relationship and her still-existing anger towards him would have enriched the story.
This title isn't particularly accurate; he's not a rival but a guy she knew in high school who is now in a moderately famous band. Ugh.
This is a case of darned ifshe does and doomed if she doesn't. A fun loving romantic Comedy Past characters showup to add spice and closer on their story. A relationship based on convenience and good business turns steamy and emotional. Two people not meant to fall in love do but are their differences to much to last forever

I didn’t love it, I didn’t really connect with the characters despite the Filipina rep of the lead, but it wasn’t bogged down by a ridiculous plot, just a straightforward romance with your healthy dose of insecurities.
Not the worst romance I’ve read this year, but not particularly memorable either.
This is the second book in a fun series that will have glued to your seat. The interaction between Parker and Molly will have your stomach hurting with laughter. This enemies to lovers story is filled with slow burn chemistry, miscommunication, a Rock band with some spice thrown in.

A quick and fun enemies-to-lovers roommates/renters story with good banter, chemistry, sort of slow buildup for physical, miscommunication, stubbornness, and attraction.

Liked the story... Liked the built up to the romance... loved how he was not an Allstars Rockstar... loved that she was determined to do her own thing and work hard for it. This book is well written and so freaking lovely... just give it a shot you will not be disappointed.
It’s not often that a book makes me tear up, but dang if I didn’t shed a few towards the end of this one... but don’t worry, they were happy tears! I loved this book all the way through!
An entertaining story with good, fun dialogue and spicy scenes. I loved the strong characters and their wonderful interactions that made for a humorous read.

This book has it all: laughs, sarcasm and a HEA!
Parker & Molly haven't seen each other since when they lived in Hawaii. 10 years later, they meet again when they are both interested in the same rental space.
Due to a misunderstanding years ago, Molly hates Parker. Parker has no idea why Molly holds such contempt for him. But after talking over coffee, they decide to split the space/rent because they both want it so badly. Molly wants the space for a Yoga studio & Parker wants it as a place for his band to practice. Molly hates asking for help and has always done things her way and by herself so accepting to split the space is the hardest thing she's had to do.
After spending some time together, Molly's attitude towards Parker changes. Their relationship changes for the better but one misunderstanding sends their relationship in a downward spiral.
Can they get back to the relationship they both desire?
I think I'm a little bit in love with Parker! I loved the first of the Awkward Arrangement series but this one has pipped it to the top spot. Molly is very determined to do things her way. She doesn't like to be seen as weak or incapable so when she finds out the person after the building she's wanting for her yoga studio is none other than he told nemesis from school she's not to pleased especially when he suggests splitting the space. Parker is struggling to come up with some new material for his band. He's dealing with some things going on his life and is finding it hard to find inspiration to write. I'm a huge huge fan of anything music related and music romances are my favourite. Tanya manages to create something with a sprinkling of drama but not too OTT and I didn't want to put it down. She creates very real and likeable characters and the whole thing sucks you in. Another cracker in the series and very much looking forward to the next one
