Spicy chilaquiles and margaritas
Snake Snack is the second book in the Cocky Cobras series and is the story of Aidan and Colleen. He is one of the McKinley brothers who own a garage where Aidan works as a mechanic. He is a growing grouchy thing as six months ago his girlfriend of three years cheated on him. But to make it way worse Aidan not only caught them and it was with a friend of his who also happened to be her high school boyfriend, but it was way over supposedly.
Colleen moved to the little town of Pythos, Nevada after inheriting her grandmother's house where she spent the summer with her beloved grandmother cooking together. Colleen is a chef who had moved from LA, leaving behind her boyfriend Asher who she had met while in school. Now she works as a butcher in the meat department of the local grocery store in town while also working on her recipes to finish a cookbook to submit it for a contest to have it published.
Colleen has seen Aidan several times since coming to town, maybe every few weeks when he comes in to shop. Grocery shopping is the least favorite thing Aidan likes to do. But he does love to cook, having taken to it while being taught by his mother. They meet one day when Colleen serves Aidan at the meat counter when he comes in. There is an immediate attraction and before he leaves the counter he also walks away with Colleen's number. But he is not quite ready to get back out and date again so he decides not to pursue anything after initially exchanging a couple texts and making a date for coffee on Saturday. However, when his younger brother picks up his phone by mistake it seems the brotherly love is about to give Aidan a big push off the dating cliff and right into someone who shares a lot of the same things with him. But will Aidan stand up Colleen again once he knows what his brothers did or will he take that first step into the unknown. But there is another issue as he is a cobra shifter who shifts when he is stressed. But it seems that Colleen has a little secret in her family tree also............you will just have to read the story to find out what happens.
This is a PNR short story that is a bit different because of the "cobra" animal. But the story-line is still entertaining, funny, sweet and sexy. I loved Colleen and liked Aidan until he stood her up, even if he was still hurting over his ex, and I wanted to kick him in the family jewels. But by the end he redeemed himself and proved he would be a great match for her.

Aidan works in the family auto shop, and he love to cook, his brother Dara gave him a shopping list for groceries they need, and the first stop was the meet counter. While at the meat counter Aidan sees a cute girl, after places his order, he then asked to take her to coffee sometime, which she agreed to and Aidan promised to text her that night. But that night he is having second thought because he is still hung up on his cheating ex girlfriend of three years.

Aidan meets Colleen when he goes to do the shopping at the meat shop. They have an instant connection. However after they exchange numbers and he texts her he gets antsy about whether they should go out. Colleen gets upset when Aidan ghosts her buy she puts everything into her work and gets her cookbook submitted to the contest. Then just as suddenly as he had stopped Aidan starts texting again and they plan to get together again. Aidan finds his phone and sees that his brother has been messaging Colleen pretending to be him and is mad. He still refuses to go meet her for their date. He has been burned badly by his ex that he doesn't want to take that risk with Colleen. When Colleen's car breaks down she calls the garage even though she hates to do it because of Aidan and when he gets there they have it out. Afterwards they make new plans to see each other. Will Aidan finally see that they are meant for each other?
This is a great quick read once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

So, this series was a bit of a gamble for me. I love shifter romances, but I've not really read any that featured snakes before. And I am NOT a fan of snakes. But I do enjoy Tilly Pope's writing. And I though the premise was really interesting - a family of four brothers that are cobra shifters, but don't find out until their parents die. Talk about trauma!!
Despite his demeanor, I really like Aidan. He's in pain, and reacts to protect himself from more pain. But he does take a good look at himself, and makes the changes he feels are necessary for him to move forward. And Colleen is worth the effort. She understands his pain, shares many of the same interests, but can stand on her own two feet. These two are fully fleshed out characters, even though this is a short book. In fact, the whole book is well written. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the brothers find their own mates. And then I can reread all the books, binge read the whole series!

This is book 2 of the Cocky Cobras it’s a fun sexy short story and this is Aidan’s and Colleen’s story. Aidan came home early one day to find his girlfriend and her ex on their new lounge having sex Aidan is bitter and angry and he feels betrayed he’s closed his heart off but he wants what his brother has a mate but he wonders if he will ever have that. Colleen works in the local supermarket in the meat department she notices this mystery man who comes in every couple of weeks she’s never spoken to him but she wants to he’s gorgeous so Colleen stays out the front at the counter hoping that he will come over. Aidan notices Colleen she’s gorgeous so he asks her out on a coffee date she accepts but he’s nervous. That’s all I’m going to give you guys this is a fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Aidan and Colleen met when Aidan went on his shopping trip. Although their is an instant attraction, the pain from his past stops him from moving forward. With unwanted help from his brothers they trick Aidan in to moving on. To Aidan's surprise, Colleen is more than what he expects.
This book will have you laughing at the brother antics and tricks, and your heart melting at melting at the love Colleen has for Aiden.

Aidan gets roped into going to the grocery store. Colleen works in the meat department and has never been at the counter when Aidan comes shopping. Aidan takes one look at Colleen and likes what he sees. Their relationship is strange because his brothers end up sending texts to Colleen and when Aidan finds out he's ticked. Colleen is also mad. But they work things out and are getting along really great. I won't tell you what happens when they have their first sexy encounter but it's awesome and great how the author put it in there. This is my first Tilly Pope red and I loved it.
Colleen loves cooking and works in the meat department at the local shopping center. Aiden also loves to cook but he's also nursing a badly broken heart. They accidentally meet and click and Aiden does get Colleen's phone number. He shies off contacting her, but his brothers have other ideas and play cupid. Aiden stresses and when he does - he shifts into a cobra. Anyone want a hug?

Snake Snack by Tilly Pope is such an awesome story that I have read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading and can not wait to read the next book in this story. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about cobra shifter, small town and paranormal romance.

This is book two in the Cocky Cobras series. Aiden is happy with life, he loves working at the garage, he gets to see his brothers and he has a steady girlfriend. That is until she cheats on him. Back to the drawing board with a unexpected encounter. This is an insta-love story that is quick read but enjoyable. So glad to read another brother get his HEA. Enjoy!

Aidan has had a rough patch recently and his brothers only want what’s best for him so they push him to date. Colleen also is moving on from another relationship and they both find what they need in each other. I love how she understood his shifting and it didn’t create an unnecessary separation or drama.

The story is actually sweet. Aidan nearly ruined his chance of love and romance with Colleen and that would be terrible cause i expect a happy ending. Thankfully, he realized his mistake and went for it. And now they are having babies. Yehey!

A quick and easy read. The story flows well, the characters are likeable and have great chemistry. A great read for just before bed or on your lunch break. This is the second book in this series. Looking forward to read more in this series.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Aiden and Collen. He runs a car repair shop with his brothers. Colleen works at the meat counter at the grocery store. Both have had a bad breakup recently but connect. Great HEA

An amazing book two in the Cocky Cobras series! It is well written, fast pace, steamy, emotionally deep, funny, and engaging. Likeable and relatable characters; the chemistry between them is instant. Definitely recommended!

Aiden is attracted to Colleen the moment he sees her at the butcher's counter and asks her out but because of his baggage over his last relationship he ghosts her. Unfortunately or Fortunately, his brothers step in but he still ends up being a jerk. Luckily when he explains Colleen still gives him a chance. This book was okay.

This is a well written book. The characters are well written and engaging with plenty of chemistry to be had. The storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end with plenty to keep me turning the pages.

Good quick read!
This series is perfect for a lunch break read, or before you go to bed when you are unwinding. The stories are short, but definitely satisfying, and I look forward to reading the rest of the books as they come out. Mature eyes only due to hot 🔥 loving!!!

This is a short fun read, perfect for reading over a cuppa. Both characters were likable and had good dialogue. A really nice story.
