I enjoyed how the book was split up between different areas of your marriage and that each chapter was split between areas to focus, truths to remember, scriptures to stand on and examples of prayers to pray.
The main lesson I learned through this is that I shouldn’t neglect praying for my marriage and it is never too late to start (and if you are not yet married, it is never too early).

A breath of fresh air for all marriages. Rather, an infusion of hope. The lessons and prayers are for any marriage, but I think I was better able to receive the raw truth of them after 20 years of my own marriage. I have been in the trenches over time and can truly appreciate some of the hard lessons and necessary prayers. I love that the prayers are directed towards being proactive, but by nature of prayer and grace, also become beautifully reactive as well. There is no magical formula to successful marriages, but prayer is an absolute, inarguable and necessary foundational stone and this book is a rich guide in utilizing prayer for your marriage. I appreciate the author’s own life lessons and infusions of example from her own marriage. Highly recommended for all those who are committed to seeing their marriage succeed. I've read many other of Mrs. Omartian's books, so I read this with anticipation. The author again provides a fresh perspective on prayer for one's marriage. Marriage was originally God's idea. It makes sense to pray to Him for help in making one's marriage the best it can be. These prayers can be prayed by either spouse, whereas her other books are more wife or husband focused. I felt a sense of urgency and necessity to pray more for my marriage in several areas, even after 27 years. I'm thankful for Mrs. Omartian's commitment to being a Titus 2 woman in teaching the younger women to pray and love their families.

Marriage is difficult and the distractions around us can add to it. This book is perfect for couples who need to strengthen their relationship or keep it strong. Each section gives the reader examples and stories of different seasons or hardships on relationship on a relatable level, and then includes scriptures that uplift and remind us of how God wants is to be/react to these circumstances.
This book is great for married couples, but is also perfect for those engaged couple or even for singles. A great guidebook to remind us that no one is perfect, relationships are worth the fight and God is right beside us helping.

Stormie Omartian is known for her heart for prayer and offers guidance along the way in her books for people that feel lost as to how to pray for a specific situation. Omartian allows us to see into her personal life and stories while allowing the reader to know that they’re not alone and it is not a helpless situation. There are great reminders throughout this book to help us strengthen our marriages through the greatest way possible.

I just wanted to thank the author and publisher for gifting me this ebook. It is a great book of prayers for you and your marriage. It is a easy fast read, but it is something that you can pick up again and again. I have read other books from this author and she is just wonderful! She gives great advice for soon to be married to married of all ages on how to pray for your husband and how to be a great spiritual wife.

I absolutely loved this book and would recommend it for anyone married and even those who are engaged to be married.
The author breaks up the book into many areas of marriage. Each chapter is a different area and is full of Bible verses to back up what she was saying. I loved how at the end of each chapter there were questions and other bible passages to ponder.

Once again, I am left disappointed and left empty after reading one of Stormie's books. After reading multiple books, I have come to the conclusion that they are very repetitive and extremely shallow. She does quote a lot of scripture, but it is without depth or actual teaching. Her books feel thrown together and full of fluff to fill the pages. They are not books I would be comfortable recommending to others.

This book is so dense! It is packed to the seams with scripture and bursting with godly wisdom and advice on marriage from someone who is qualified from life experience to speak on such matters. Omartian’s book is beautifully full of prayers and verses, not just her own writing. Each page is a sermon, and I’m thankful for having spent my time at each one.

Each chapter discusses extremely difficult circumstances like when finances get out of control, when depression affects a spouse, and when addictive behaviors manifest. Stormie Omartian saturates each issue in Scripture to give readers counsel and direction.
I particularly appreciated the lists that Stormie includes throughout the book, such as 10 Ways to Have a Change of Heart. They are wonderful quick and practical notes that readers can return to for help and hope!
Each chapter ends with three prayers: one general prayer, one prayer if you are the one struggling, and one prayer if your spouse is the one struggling. I love that Stormie is so specific and gives prayer options.
