I truly enjoyed these takes on mythological creatures, particularly Bee Murray's story. It made me laugh. Mel is an amazing character and well developed. The other stories within this book were also amazing. I have always been a fsn of mythology so this book was right up my alley,
If you live mythology, you will love this anthology. Each story is so different and each gives such a different view into their worlds! Grab it,jke their other anthologies, you will love it!
4.5 stars So many good reads in this anthology. Full of mythology with new takes. Not alot of them featured much heat but they will leave you wanting more.
Hell's angels by bee Murray Yay more des and Perri but with a twist. We get to know their daughter Melinoe and her best friend Oz. I really enjoyed Melinoe's snarky personality. Gotta love a girl who can get to even an angel.
The caged bird by charlie Daniels Another really good read. This one seems to be setting up for a new series. When Osiris is taken from isis she does everything in her godess power to bring him back. They seek to protect Egypt but it comes at a cost.
A banshees call by Alexis Taylor and Beth Hendrix Can't wait till this book comes out. Alexis and Beth did a great job setting up and drawing us in. Dre is a banshee who loves her job and wants to be the best but she hits a snag when her targets are not what they seem.
The tale of fionn Mac cumhall by Rachel pudsey Fionn is on a mission to defeat the people who killed his father and take back his rightful place. Even though the people set to protect him advise against it. And it doesn't go exactly as planned
In the hands of zaztice by Maria Vermisoglou This one was an interesting take on the god of justice. I had a bit of a tough time getting sucked in. But overall not a bad read
Do you love Greek mythology then this book is definitely for you! This Anthology of mythical retellings by multiple fabulous authors is a sweet piece of pie for those Greek mythology buffs. Bee Murray starts it all off with a snarky and hilarious adventure in Hell’s Angel. Each of these stories leaves you wanting more as you progress through the different worlds these authors have created. Definitely a great read and highly recommended. 💕
I started this one with some trepedation because it's been so long since a read has grabbed me and pulled me in, but ya'll this anthology had me at the first page and I didn't put it down. My favorite is by Bee Murray, an author I'm now chasing for more. Mel and Oz were electric and the writing crisp perfection that had me giggling through the pages and left me craving more. AWESOME READ. GO GET IT!!!
These authors have done an amazing job with this anthology. The mythology in these stories are breathtaking and very vividly detailed. Each story sucks you in and makes you feel like you're part of the story. I love these anthologies because you get a taste of what each author has to offer and you can even find new favorite authors. I can't recommend this anthology enough, but I think it's definitely a must read.
This book was filled with short tales. Each just as good as the one before it. We get a Goddess of the underworld, A woman that does anything she can for her true love, a banshee and so much more. This book ranges from current times, to olden times with sword fights to the death. Brilliant anthology that has me bookmarking authors.
Mythical stories always intrigue me. These were not the typical stories either and so I found them quite interesting. A few of them did end with a bit of a cliffhanger but not all. They all had some interesting twists play out and some were quite unexpected. I’d definitely read a sequel if there was one put out. This was quite a fun tale to read.
I love anthologies, they are the perfect way to get introduced to New authors. I love the different stories based on one common denominator. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for more anthologies from BBB publishing.
This was my first time reading a anthology. I’m not going to lie I’m not sure it’s the way for me going forward as it’s all over too quickly for me. However each story was a wonderful taster of how the author writes and what can be expected. Each story had a great storyline and some amazing characters. Mel from Hells Angels (Bee Murray) actually had me laughing at her attitude and the way she just got on with stuff. Would love to read more! I think my favourite was A Banshee’s Calling by Alexis Taylor and Beth Hendrix. The no nonsense attitude from Dre was hilarious and the way the story ended left me with a What?!! moment. I need to know what happens to them all. I would really like to read some full length novels by any of these authors as they all suck you in leaving you wanting more.
