This whole series was such a joy to read and I’m so jealous of anyone finding this series now as it will be one mighty binge read! I was a super Lance from the start and loved their journey immensely. A great series finale.

A Diappointment

This is the first time I've not liked a CoraSeton book and I''ve read many. It's slow moving for almost the first 70% of the book about murders of young girls. I knew who the murderer was quickly. So obvious. The last part of the story finally moved along with some excitement but didn't redeem the rest. I will read more of her stories but this one kid fell flat.

The Cowboy’s Forbidden Bride by Megan Crane
This story starts out with Wilder and his family on the family ranch. His father Zeke has told them all he is dying and he wants grandkids. Wilder has no intentions of getting married to have kids. He loves his work on the ranch mending fences taking care of animals and anything else that needs to be done.
Story is also following Cat she works at her family general store at the Cowboy Point. Their families are similar to the McCoys and the Hatfields. An event occurred centuries ago between the 2 families and they still are very separated. Cat is out at the bar and sits next to Wilder and it all starts there. Love all the talk about the detailed descriptions of the different areas, the gossip that goes around because it is a small area - everybody knows everybody's business.
Adult situations. Really good read. Love this series.
Received this review copy from Tule Publishing and this is my honest opinion.

The Cowboy's Forbidden Bride

WOW! This story's title can mean so many brides. I had an inkling that Jed and Virginia were a couple before the big misunderstanding. It's sad that it took so many years for these two to get together. The main story was about Steel Cooper and Stella Turner. Steel was undercover for a long time trying to find the killer that was killing so many young girls. It was a little but of a shock to find out if was a deputy but yet it didn't. I am glad that Stella's step-sister was saved by Stella and Steel. I am also glad they finally got together and then the last chapter told of all the happiness that was happening in both the Cooper and Turner families. I am glad we have happy endings for these two families. FANTASTIC job Cora! I would highly recommend this book!

This was such a fun, wonderfully written story, the second in the The Careys of Cowboy Point series. Wilder Carey and Cat Lisle’s families have a generations long blood feud but when Wilder sees Cat at the seediest bar in town he immediately acts. The attraction between them is palpable and their feelings grow deeper despite their differences. Cat is desperate to get out from under her two protective older brothers and live the life she chooses, with a man she chooses. Wilder is a sexy heartbreaker who might just be falling for Cat whether he likes it or not. I couldn’t put this one down and I absolutely loved the naughtiness of Wilder and Cat and their secret relationship.

Excellent Finale ‼️

An excellent finale to this series! Honestly I had a little difficulty with the first couple of books because there was so much anger and angst but is the stories progressed there was a very deep underlying storyline carried throughout each of the books. I absolutely loved this book and most especially the fact that four years later we get to find out what each of the families are doing and where they could possibly be going in the future!

The perfect ending to the series. I loved Steel and Stella's story. I also loved that the book finally pulled everything together that Cora dropped tidbits of throughout the other stories. This book had the perfect amount of suspense all the way to the end. I was also tickled that it ended with a follow up to all the other stories. Finally really getting to see who Steel was and what he'd been trying to couldn't have been a better way to end the series.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I've read almost everything Cora has written and look forward to many more to come.

The Cowboys Forbidden Bride: Turners vs Coopers

Totally loved this story.
First it answered all the questions throughout this series.
About the feud ,the affairs, the anger and the competitiveness.
Without giving anything away everyone gets their happily ever after and it’s the best ending of this series of stories.

His Equal!!!

It was a tie between the Coopers and the Turners for the Founder's Prize. And Steel Cooper felt like it was up to him to bring his family a win, he knew what he had to do even if it meant hurting Stella Turner and losing her love in the process. The question is could he really live without the love of the woman he loved!?

Everyone thought Steel was a criminal like his late father, Dale but they couldn't be more wrong. He was a Silver Falls Deputy who was undercover investigating the numerous overdose deaths that were anything but accidents. It was a task that was passed on to him from his father. He wished he could tell his family but it was best if he kept them in the dark.

Now he was on the sidelines watching as his siblings fell in love one after the other and the woman he'd always loved was moving on with her life. Finding the killer was taking longer that he'd expected.

Stella Turner has always been attracted to Steel Cooper, the man had more secrets than she could count. She worked at the Chance Creek police department as a receptionist but her dream was to become a deputy. She needed to protect her heart when it came Steel. She knew that he wasn't telling her and his family the entire story about what he'd really been up to.

After one of their encounters, she told him that she liked him, she didn't know that he was in love with her and intended to woo her. He did however give her a few hints regarding what their fathers were working on thirteen years ago and what he was continuing to do today.

The Founder's Prize was still on both the Turners and the Coopers minds especially with all the recent deaths of the young teenage girls. Stella and Olivia wanted to open a rehabilitation center for those in need. Turned out the serial killer was someone that they all knew, many of them were surprised and hurt by the deception.

THE COWBOY'S FORBIDDEN BRIDE,i> is the fifth book in Cora Seton's TURNERS VS COOPERS series. What an amazing, adventurous, and beautiful way to end this wonderful series. Cora Seton had me hooked from start to finish. I'm going to miss the Turners and the Coopers. Two thumbs up and a recommendation for you guys to grab yourselves a copy!

ARC for honest review with no compensation

The Cowboy’s Forbidden Bride is book 5 and the final book in the Turners vs Coopers of Chance Creek series by Cora Seton.

Steele Cooper, undercover detective who everyone including his family thinks he is on the wrong side of the law but really is just trying to right the wrongs of his father and solve the 13 year mystery of a serial killer of young women who are overdosing in Silver Falls and Chance Creek. Who also has feeling for Stella Turner but because of the Turner, Cooper feud doesn’t think he is good enough for her.

Stella Turner works in the sheriff’s department in Chance Creek, sort of dating a sheriff’s deputy and want to become a deputy herself. She has known Steele for a long time and has felt an attraction for him but believes that being on the wrong side of the law is a deal breaker for her.

Will Steele find the serial killer before another girl dies, will secrets be revealed, who will win the Founders Prize, will Steele and Stella become a couple and a secret relationship you didn’t see coming....what an amazing ending to this series!!

What a great way to bring this series together! Steel and Stella, the last two holdouts from the Coopers and the Turners (or are they!)

Steel is a deputy for Silver Falls Sheriff's Department (but no one knows that) and he's working undercover trying to find what he thinks is a serial killer, killing young girls from nearby. He believes that his dad was also working to find this killer before he died and the killer went quiet until recently.

In the meantime, Stella is trying to figure out how to pass the physical test to become a deputy while working on an idea to win the Founder's Cup and more importantly critical land.

Even though, Steel seems to be a "creeper" praying on young girls, Stella can't help but be drawn to him and him to her. But nothing is as it seems when another girl that Steel just met turns up dead.

This one kept me turning the pages, not only to find out who was the killer but to read would Stella and Steel be able to sneak away and get their happily ever after. It turns out, they're not the only ones sneaking around.

I LOVE how Cora Seton tied everyone's story up in the end for us to see what everyone's been up to! I will miss the Turners and Coopers!

The Cowboy’s Forbidden Bride is by Cora Seton. This is another good book b Cora Seton in her series. The action begins at once and continues throughout the book. The rivalry between the Turners and the Coopers in there in the book; but it is not at the forefront as it has been in the past books. The families work together in this book to raise money to help create a larger facility to work with the kids on a psychological level. The surprise ending makes the book even better.

Merged review:

The Cowboy's Forbidden Bride: Turners vs Coopers of Chance Creek Book #5 is by Cora Seton. This is probably the best book of the series. Steel is portraying himself as beyond the law. No one knows for sure what he is doing; but they know to keep at a distance. Then, the case he is working on comes to a head. The man he is chasing is beginning to make mistakes. Stella is tired of loving Steel from a distance; but she is determined to become a deputy. First, she had to make friends with her estranged Mother and her Mother's teenaged woman. Can they do this with a serial killer on the loose?

As hard as it is to say goodbye to the characters in a series, Cora Seton has ended this with a bang – now read it to see if that was a literal one! Steel has been on the periphery in the other books, literally hiding in the shadows. The Coopers and Turners are still in competition for the ranch that has the water rights that can save their ranches – and old resentments still flare occasionally. Steel has loved Stella Turner since school – and that hasn’t changed, but have his (apparently dodgy) activities steered her into another man’s arms? To me, this is an exploration of what it means to be a good man, a man that places the good of the many over his own good and his own ego, and Steel is that good man. This is a book that it is hard to write about without giving the contents away, so let me say only that, if you’ve read any of the other Cooper vs. Turner books, you will want to read this one. It has an epilogue that will leave you feeling better about life.

I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.

This is the last book in this series and usual it was a great read from beginning to end. Steel Cooper is trying to fix the wronging done by his father before he died in prison. Stella Turner has always been in love with Steel but could not give herself to him. Steel has figured out that all of the young girls that have died was really not from a drug overdose but a serial killer so he has worked as an undercover detective for many years. Finally after many years they find out the killer is a deputy sheriff. When Steel and Stella finally get together you can tell this was meant to be. Now for the founders prize and the end of the day it did not really matter who won as a Turner married a Turner so the land was for both families. Also nobody saw the relationship between Virginia and Jeb develop the way it did and that they would also get married. The ending of the series was a good wrap up of all of the family.

Wow! What a finale! Ms Seton has certainly brought this series to a close in splendid fashion, fireworks, and lots of them, included! Her ability to tell a story and have you feel like you are there and a part of it, continues to astound me. Her characters are real, vibrant yet down to earth, and each have their own stories to tell. And believe me, they are all worth the read...each and every one of them. In this, the finale of the Turners vs Coopers series, we finally get to hear Stella and Steels' story, learning their struggles and hurdles, as they find their way to each other. We also get some much needed closure with Uncle Jed and Aunt Virginia, and their decades old tale, never before revealed. Considered a standalone, this book can definitely be read as one, but so much better if you've followed the many crews from Chance Creek. A must read!
I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.

Steel’s convinced everyone he is a bad boy. In reality he’s been working undercover to solve a case that’s been going on for years. With his investigation bringing him back to Chance Creek, staying undetected is difficult especially when it comes to Stella Turner. Not only can’t he get her out of his head, there is still a feud between their families and the battle for the founders prize. Stella is torn between her strong feelings for Steel and the image he has cultivated. With his secrets set to disrupt all their lives, he will need the feud to end if he’s got any chance of not only solving his case, but also claiming his girl. Nail biting! Dramatic! And heart stopping! Not only do we get to see the real Steel, we finally get the truth behind the Turner/ Cooper feud. A suspenseful, thrilling, excellent ending to this series.

A murder mystery wrapped in a family feud covered by a community competition. All this series books has been fun, romantic and rewarding. Each one a bit more dramatic and intense. Steel and Stella's story is heartwarming, captivating and intriguing. Steel Cooper is a true alpha male, trying to do what's right for town, family and his deceased dad. All at the expense of his own life and reputation. Stella Turner is at a crossroads trying for a new career, seeking companionship like her siblings have found. But intrigue and destiny are playing games with the two star crossed lovers. Will overcoming those who would divide them, ignoring family who would deny them and solving a 15 year murder spree that haunts them be enough for these two who seem destined for each other? Read this exciting and rousing novel to find out. Great, more than satisfying conclusion to a excellent series.

The Cowboys Forbidden Bride by Cora Seton
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Steel Cooper is an undercover cop trying to finish a job his father started over thirteen years ago - find the killer in Chance Creek responsible for overdose deaths of young women. No one knows that Steel is living like a criminal because he is undercover.

Stella Turner wants to become a deputy in her home town Chance Creek. Some people doesn’t think she can do it. The one person that knows she can do it is Steel, the town criminal that she can’t stop thinking about.

How will Steel catch the killer when people are starting to think he has something to do with the killings? Will Stella find out what Steel is hiding from her and everyone else?
Hold on to your seat for the ride to find the killer and save the young teenagers. What a way to end the series. Steel and Stella are made for each other.
