In the year 1818, Kerah has inherited an Egyptian merchant business, the estate and the mines. She is plunged into an entirely new world after her charmed life is shattered by a ruthless betrayal. After a tremendous loss and violent storm at sea, she finds herself at the mercy of a charismatic and handsome foreigner. The Scotsman is determined to keep her by his side. She has other plans. Circumstances dictate that she must accompany strangers to Scotland. Kerah finds herself completely out of her element and unexpectedly surounded by blood and death. She must battle her way through the unknown at every turn. Desire collides with duty in this unique tale of historical intrigue.
This book is a compilation of a three-book series.
The story starts with Egyptian heiress Kerah, whose uncle is killed. With the help of Jiao Lan and Hakim, she escapes on a ship - the Beloved. Unfortunately her ship sinks and she is saved by a Scotsman Angus McIver. The spirited Kerah then accepts marriage to Angus to save herself and her people. But can this relationship between herself and her husband develop into love? Scotland's olden place and it's people, as Angus's place is well described. The freedom loving Kerah is easily one of the best characters and she is well supported by the chivalrous and roguish Angus. Jiao Lan and Hakim are surprisingly well developed and deeply loyal characters. Maggie and Anghati both come at the same time and their level of hatred for the main characters has been brought out well. Overall a good engrossing read.
This is a well written story. I did hate the MMC and that never changed, but I liked the FMC so I rooted for her happiness. My dislike of the male is not reflective of the authors writing skills. Not a fan of cliffhangers which this is.
This story revolves around an Egyptian protagonist, which I don’t see very often so I appreciate the change and the inclusion, and a Scottish captain love interest which I might add I very much fell in love with. Very detailed story with a string storyline and captivating adventures. Strap on for the journey of a lifetime. Very easy to follow and understanding storyline as it was structured fantastically.
A romantic novel filled with highly developed characters and creative linguistic techniques. It’s the story of a Scottish Captain and his Egyptian lover and their remarkable journey from the sands of the Nile to the highlands of Scotland. It has everything a reader would desire in a romantic drama. I highly recommend this book.
I liked this, especially since it was a pairing I havent seen in book yet (Scotsman and an Egyptian woman). The thing that bothered me was the formatting was off in a few spots. Other than that, the story was great.
Storm of Emotions is an action packed, historical romance story, which keeps you engrossed throughout. The passion between Kerah, the Egyptian Princess and Angus, the handsome Scotsman, set the pages alight. Seriously. I love a good romance story with lots of action so this was a real treat. Very well written with great characters and the dialogue is brilliant. Looking forward to more. Highly recommended!
The last thing Kerah wanted to do was run. She was a proud warrior, strong, fast, loyal. She wanted to stand and fight beside her uncle as the world crumbled around them. Instead she was torn from the battle, dragged out to sea, and announced to be her uncle’s heir. But misfortune followed her even on the waters. A violent storm takes everything, leaving her at the mercy of their rescuers. But their safety has a price. Impressed by her strength and intellect, the captain of the ship decides he will take her as his wife, and there is nothing she can do to change his mind. But trouble has followed her from Egypt, and old obsessions will not lie. Especially when a vast fortune and a beautiful woman is the prize for the victor. Storm of Emotions by Tabitha Womack is a historical romance set in the 1800s. I have to admit, I’m not normally one for historical romance but this one really pulled me in. With a strong cast of characters, filled with intrigue, mystery, and their own agendas, it is easy to find yourself swept up in their tale. I loved how well the Scottish accent was written, I always enjoy it when an author goes that extra mile and, instead of saying, he spoke with a Scottish accent, uses appropriate words and phonetic spellings to really breathe life into the engaging dialogue. Being a collection of three books, I enjoyed following the story and watching it unravel in surprising and entertaining ways. Action, pride, adventure, and loyalty all merge to create a gripping plot that will keep you engaged from beginning to end.
This story follows the life of Kerah, an Egyptian woman who is forced to leave her home when her uncle's brother attacks their home and tries to take her as his wife. Things take a turn when her ship that she escaped on sinks, and she has no choice but to accept the help of some Scotsmen that come to their rescue.
Loved these books! It feels almost like a TV series with all the new storylines and twists and turns. Each book has its own new exciting adventure. I was really excited about the last book when Jao Lan and Hakim's story begins ever since the last book mentioned how he was in love with her. I always love romance stories where the two main characters have known each other for a long time. The final book of this 3 book collection ends on a cliffhanger.
My only complaint would be that it took a few chapters to really understand what was going on and to get used to the writing since it is based in 1818 and the language is unique, but after you get used to how they talk, it is a really great read!
Kerahs uncle taught her all she knew from the age of 5. She fled her wealthy home after being attacked by pirates, her uncle stayed behind to fight and was slaughtered for his bravery. Her uncle's brother, Angahti now inherited everything and was set on marrying Kerah. She escaped his clutches only to fall into those of a Scottish captain, Angus, who took her to his homeland to wed. Angahti watched from afar, plotting, but she also had another enemy, closer to her new home, Angus' former lover, Maggie. A great romantic novel full battles, jealousy, betrayal and love. The heroic Scott tries to dominate this strong, fiesty Egyptian female, a battle within itself. Plenty of action with a great storyline to wet your appetite and keep you focused. Loved the dialect used by the Author to emphasise the Scottish accent, although I had to reread some twice to understand, but a great touch. If this is the sort of book you love, it will definitely hit the mark. Enjoyable read!
The main characters are lively - they don't just fall in love and go happily into the sunset. On the contrary, ruthless violence plagues them until the last page. I liked the story, and liked the Scottish brogue. The whole thing keeps you turning the pages. Good job!
A breathtaking ride of emotions await as Kerah a beautiful Egyptian warrior princess is rescued by a handsome Scottish nobleman. He immediately falls in love with her and proceeds to take her home to marry her. Although quite often against her wishes and they literally fight over it. Throw in jealous lovers one of who is a fellow Egyptian wanting to make Kerah his bride instead and some great battle scenes mixed with plenty of spicy love making scenes this is an epic tale for the ages.
Forced to flee from her home Kerah finds herself afloat at sea. Rescued by the handsome Scott, Angus. A love that Kerah did not see coming or wanted presents her with a new opportunity; the problem with this is, does she want them. In a new country, she and her crew need to learn how to navigate a different culture with a man she is unsure how she should feel about. The Egyptian warrior Kerah makes sacrifices, finds what she was not looking for, and stands against the forces bent on claiming her. A love story for any romance lover.
This book was exceptional written by Womack as it kept me wondering how Kerah would handle being with a foreigner. Kerah soon realizes that all that glitters is not gold as she leaves her homeland to be with the foreigner to realize that it was not like anything she experienced before. The book is action-packed and fast-paced and has some hot and steamy romance scenes that would keep you wanting more.
Another one of this authors work is just wow! I was impressed and well worth the read! Kerah is a character that I was like wow, and had to continue on reading. Her character was fascinating and had to continue on reading. Action-packed for sure! The romance...wowzers! That is all I can say! Read this! So worth it!
This book(storm of emotion: collective edition by Tabitha Wamack) was well written. She took me to a faraway land( Egypt) with her amazing storyline. I kept wondering how she could write such an amazing book with great suspense, spices with a romantic scene that will keep you wanting more. I recommend this book!

This book is one of those books that deserves to be made into a movie. It is very interesting, and I promise you won't regret buying it. The storyline is well plotted and the grammar is also fluent. Try it, don't say you read only one genre you'll be missing entertainment. Kerah the main character, is a very fascinating strong woman and against all odds she fight.
This was my first book or books by this author. I love how she compiled them into one!! This book gave me all the feels in all the right places. Definitely recommend.
"Storm of Emotions: Collective Series Edition" by Tabitha Womack is an extraordinary read that pulls you in from the first page. The story is masterfully crafted, featuring rich, multi-dimensional characters and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Keira and Angus's romance is the book's heart, marked by fiery passion and genuine emotion that feels incredibly real. Womack’s writing is powerful and evocative, capturing the complexities of love and her characters' struggles with great depth and sensitivity.
The story is filled with unexpected twists and turns, making it impossible to put down. Each character is well-developed, and their interactions add layers of intrigue and emotion to the story. Womack excels at building tension and creating moments of intense drama balanced by tender, heartfelt scenes. "Storm of Emotions" is a beautifully written novel that explores the highs and lows of love and life, making it a must-read for fans of romance and drama. Highly recommended!
This novel was well written and the story was intriguing! The main characters are Angus, from the Highlands and Cara, from Egypt. After her uncle is murdered, all the main character wants is revenge. But when her ship sinks, her life is changed by Angus, a Scottish lord. There are also intriguing side characters, and a couple of villains. Honestly, this book is reminiscent of the sky O’Malley series, by Patrice smalls, which is wonderful, because I love that series. I don’t want to put any spoilers in this review, but this book does end ona cliffhanger. And don’t you worry ladies, Cara is a main character that’s feisty and can use a sword just as well as any of the male characters in this book.
The Storm of Emotions: Collective Edition is 2 books in one!
Let me first start by saying what a perfect name for this book! The emotions of the characters are very high! The Triggers are even higher, and all over the place so if you are sensitive to certain triggers I wouldn't recommend this book for you. If you don't have triggers, and like adult romance then this needs to be on your TBR list.
I really loved the details in this book. There were scenes I could image it like I was watching a movie. If I'm honest the first few pages I was like not sure if I'll like this book but a few pages in I was hooked! It also included a female Egyptian character which I don't think I've seen in books before or if so it's been a long time. So, I thought that was cool.
The build up of love between Angus and Kerah is smoking off the pages. Kerah although well read, is also stubbornly naive to life and experience. Something I can relate to. Kerah tends to lean towards getting herself into situations that could harm her. Being strong is one thing but couple that with being overly prideful, and you get an explosive heroine!
Adore the way Angus consistently conveys his growing love for Kerah, which began at first sight for him and continues to span across the pages gloriously.
This is a fantastic story. I loved every part of it. It's hugely Suspenseful. Full of drama and just when you think everything is OK, it all goes to pot. I loved the cultural diversity and the love Angus and Kerah share is profound. I couldn't help but laugh at their banter and the Scottish brogue is authentic and genuine. Absolutely loved this and now it looks like I'll be getting book 2 to find out more.
I love to read about a strong heroine. Who, despite many different challenges, she was strong, prideful, and resilient. I love to read historical books. And I can tell this author, who is new to me, did her due diligence and keeping with historical references, and even with cultural Times. Reading about someone with a different accent is a joy. Especially when the author takes the time to make sure that the dialect is accurate. I eagerly await the sequel
If you love Scottish hero’s and strong female characters, this story has both. I’ve never read one before so the dialog took me a little to get use to. I’ve never read a story with an Egyptian female either. Interesting story filled with mysteries and adventure.
Wow! It's rare to come across an author who puts so much effort and care into their work. It was clear that research went into the accents and language. There were some steamy, yet beautifully written love scenes... It was a pleasant surprise to read such a full-bodied piece of work. I would definitely like to read more from this author.
I think the title to this book is great and hits it right on the head. An Egyptian beauty is forced to marry a Scot only to fall in love with him which makes things much for more complicated for her escape plan. However, it is so much much better than the alternative. Now, the entire family is left in shambles and I need to know what happens next.
