I think this story is actually quite good, but it is absolutely hamstrung by the manga format. There’s a lot of time spent growing the plot rather than advancing it, although there are some clever shenanigans this time around.

Still, Scarlett and Constance make for a good pairing and I like that Scarlett was definitely wronged, but she sure isn’t an angel by any stretch of the imagination. Watching her skewer Connie’s preconceptions of people she thought were decent is half the fun.

I suspect this reads better as a light novel, a suspicion which has not changed since the first volume.

Es geht spannend weiter, so spannend, dass ich mir umgehend den nächsten Band besorgen muss. Endlich kommt ein ernsthafter love interest ins Spiel und auch die Detektivgeschichte kommt voran!

Es geht richtig gut weiter!

Nachdem im ersten Band die Story gelegt wurde und wir die Hauptcharaktere kennen lernen konnten, geht es hier im guten Tempo weiter. Dieses Mal nimmt die Geschichte eine neue Weite ein, was für die Folgebänder vielversprechend klingt. Nach dem ersten Band war ich noch nicht zu 100 % sicher, ob die Reihe sich für mich lohnt und jetzt freue ich mich schon auf den dritten Teil.

Es geht auf jeden Fall spannend weiter und die Geschichte rund um Scarlet ist nur ein kleiner Teil von was ganz Großem, so scheint es mir. Ach und am Ende gibt es einen ganz kleinen Einblick auf evtl. etwas Romance...

I love how Scarlett was like “oh no yeah I did all those things!” The Scarlett-Connie dynamic is great. The story so far recaps are helpful. Connie low key bludgeoned Neil with that bit of honesty. Her little brother’s cute.

Der zweite Band hat mir richtig gut gefallen.
Constance lernt step by step für sich selbst zu sprechen währenddessen Scarlet ihr so einige Geheimnisse offenbart und natürlich Aufgaben zuteilt.
Der Zeichenstil ist schön und klar.
