I am reading a Hindi novel after a long time. I thought it would be difficult since I had been out of touch. But when I saw this contemporary romance in Hindi, I just had to pick it up. The story is super cute, a story of love, and second chances. Having read Ruchi Singh's books, I must say that with each book she is growing in leaps and bounds.

Siddharth stole my heart. He sounded so vulnerable when he was introduced that I just wanted to protect him. The scene where he tries to hide the picture of his ex-love brought a lump in my throat.
As the story goes, Naina is asked to marry Sid whom she knows from her childhood. She always had a soft corner for him, since he was someone she looked up to. One of those childhood crushes one has. But then Sid went ahead in life and fell in love with someone. Naina too falls in love with someone else. But here the story has a twist. Without revealing much, I can tell you that they both have to marry each other. Now they have other people involved in their lives yet, circumstances are such that they must marry each other. So how does this work? Read the story to know more. You won’t regret it.
The thing that I loved most about the book is the easy usage of words. Like we speak every day. Hinglish. That made me connect to the characters more instead of running towards the dictionary every minute. I hope Ruchi Singh writes more in Hindi and brings more of these awesome stories.

I have read Ruchi’s English books and was fascinated when I heard about her attempt in writing Hindi romance. I read Ehsaas in one sitting. It’s a beautiful story about Naina and Siddharth and how they eventually fall in love leaving their old demons behind. Character development, storyline and fantastic writing make the book a must read for all romance lovers. It’s not written in chaste Hindi so everyone can enjoy the book. Pick it up for a romantic getaway in these times.

Yay! I read a Hindi novel after decades. Last time was way back in the late 90s when I was in school.
Felt like I was watching a Hindi movie. The main characters, Sidharth and Naina, are struggling to forget their past love and eventually find solace in each other. Also, Sidharth was Naina's crush in childhood.
As the title suggests, the story deals with the emotions and struggles that they have to overcome.
A cute love story.

This was the first Hindi book I read in a long time. Actually I've never read any Hindi books outside of my school textbooks that I essentially had to read. And that was ages ago!

But I've been meaning to read books in Indian regional languages.. so when Ruchi Singh came out with Ehsaas - it felt like the perfect opportunity to finally start reading in Hindi, because I already knew I enjoy Ruchi's stories.

And she did not disappoint with this one. It was a sweet friends-to-lovers romance that hit all the right notes. And honestly, after the first few chapters, I was able to read the language quite comfortably. Of-course this was mostly because Ruchi kinda made it easy by writing in conversational Hindi instead of pure Hindi.

All in all: A sweet love story, and an easy entry point if you are looking to start reading in regional languages after a long break.

This is the first ever Hindi novel I’ve ever picked up and I’m glad it has been a amazing read! I’ve read most of the English titles by Ruchi and had my expectations. Glad she surpassed them with her easy, straightforward yet interesting story. The thing I liked the most about this is it was simple, no unnecessary twists and turns, cozy romance.

Naina and Siddharth are cute, and though I had my reservations about the sudden attraction Siddharth feels, the story takes a natural turn soon thereafter.
Of course I’m habitual to reading all those elaborate scenes in English, where every turn of events is as detailed as possible, Ruchi has kept it nice and simple which for me is the best point about this novel.

When it comes to love, we have many plans. But do these plans ever come true? We always want a happy ending. But do everybody gets it?

Siddharth is a heartbroken boy, going with the flow, expecting nothing new from life. Naina is looking for the perfect candidate for the life partner. This book then starts with a different destiny. It's a nice story with a generic plot but a twisted flow of events.

A nice not-so-cliched book to be enjoyed.

It was a delight to read this plot by this author. The plot is simple but the usage of Hinglish words makes it a delight as Naina and Sid try to find love in each other's heart while being surrounded by a loving and supportive family. Kudos to the writer for trying a new language.

Having Read Over Half A Dozen Books From Different Series Penned By Author Ruchi Singh. I Can Say With A Certain Level Of Confidence At My Command That Rarely Does She Disappoint No Matter What The Genre She Chooses To Revolve Her Plot Around Because More Often Than Not She Effortlessly Comes Across As Offering Her Readers A Certain Element Of Comfort In The Pleasure Reads She Releases At Almost Regular Intervals.
But Ehsaas Is A Totally Different Ballgame All Together. While This Particular Book Is Close To Her Heart As It Is The First Time She Chooses To Write In Hindi To Expand Her Fanbase And Make Her Reach Out Far & Wide. Yet At The Same Time, Even For Her Regular Readers One Does Not Know What To Expect As They In An Unknown Terrain. The Only Thing That Truly Comforts Is That The Language Maybe Different But The Realisation That Dawns Upon The Reader Is That Ehsaas Is No Different From Her Other Feel Good Books She Has Carved A Niche For Herself. So One Can Relax And Enjoy Ehsaas Like They Have Been Doing Quite Regularly In The Past Minus Any Apprehensions.
Ehsaas Which Opens To Be Book 1 In The Mehra Khandaan Series Revolves Around Naina & Rahul Who Have Virtually Grown Up Together Not Just As Family Friends & Neighours Too But Also As Jigri Dosts. So Even Though It Is Not Spelt Out In So Many Words It Is Expected That They’re Destined To Live Happily Ever After?
So What Can Possibly Go Wrong One May Think? For One They Maybe Friends But They Never Found Themselves Looking At Each Other Through The Prism Of Love And When Love Does Start To Dawn Upon Them Naina Learns Rahul Is Still Carrying Emotional Baggage From His Past That He Cannot Let Go Off And That Haunts Their Very Future. The Climax When It Does Strike Is Truly Hard Hitting As One Does Not See It Coming As It Is Least Expected.
In A Nutshell, How Good I Actually Found Ruchi Singh’s Ehsaas Can Be Measured By The Very Fact That I Already Have Her Kaali Nazar The Book 2 In Mehra Khandaan On My To Be Read Bookshelf...Need I Say More?!!!

Beautiful concept

Review- Ehsaas is a book based on love story where the characters crave for perfection. The plot talks about ‘perfection’ in life partners and in love stories. We all have grown up watching love stories with perfect ending but in real life we feel it is too much to ask for. It has a great concept where the characters want everything to be perfect. The story line revolves around Siddharth and Naina who are hit hard by the events in life. Though they have left everything behind they are still bothered by the past dwelling their mental peace. It clearly depicts how life events have an impact on our thought process and how we change our preferences based on the things happening around us. The plot has a good flow and unveils the most awaited part whether perfect love story exists or not, should we keep hopes or not which is depicted through the lives of Siddharth and Naina.

This is a Hindi novel. The book is about love and second chances.Story is about two people Naina and Siddharth who know each other from childhood and it was like they were meant to be together.


But both were in relationships with another person but after their breakups they were exhausted and were looking for their perfect partner and perfect relationship as we all want.Siddharth was heart broken and Naina was looking for a perfect husband who will take care of her. So life puts them together.Though they were over their past relationships but sometimes it hit hards.But eventually the fell in love with each other as Naina was looking upto him as a childhood crush.


The book is amazing with cute love story and the cover is also beautiful.The language used by author is Hinglish which is very commonly used today and easy to understand the story more deeply.It has a gripping story line.Definitlye waiting for second book to come.

The book 'ehsaas' as the name depicts is a story full of emotions and cuteness
It has naina and siddharth , with families on good terms with each other. They are like childhood lovers but eventually they fall apart in run of life.

Story becomes more intriguing when Sid went abroad for studies and both of them found their love.That's the twist in the story .How will our lead meet ? How will they be back to each other? The answer for these question is worth reading.

A complete hindi romantic novel and I think this would be a plus point for non-readers. Also it will bring more connectivity with the story.

'made for each other' the saying fits in so well here and how the writer made them meet ultimately is definitely marvelous to read.
people often break down or develop hatered towards love after getting defeat at this aspect ,but how second chances can be beautiful even more beautiful is very well depicted here

यह एक हिंदी पुस्तक है। यह एक रोमांटिक लव स्टोरी बुक है। इस कहानी में तीन मुख्य किरदार हैं। सिद्धार्थ नैना और विकास। नैना को विकास से प्यार है। सिद्धार्थ और नेना का परिवार चाहते थे कि वे एक-दूसरे के साथ शादी करें। परंतु नैना को विकास से प्यार है। और सिद्धार्थ का भी एक अतीत था। सिद्धार्थ नैना के साथ एक सौदा करते हैं कि वह तीन महीने तक विकास से नहीं मिलेंगे। और इस 3 महीने में सिद्धार्थ को नैना पर प्रभाव डालना है। अगर वह इसमें पास हो जाएगा तो वे दोनों शादी कर लेंगे। और अगर वह असफल हो जाता है तो नैना विकास के साथ शादी कर लेगी। नैना ने इस सौदे को स्वीकार कर लिया और विकास को इस सौदे के बारे में बताया और उसे गुस्सा आ गया।

Amazing book in hindi

The story of the book revolves around two good friends Siddharth and Naina. Here, we will see how both will deal with their past lives and find a perfect life partner for them. Siddharth has lost every hope in life after losing someone that is very close to him. On the other side, Naina wants a perfect husband who only takes care of him, and she be only person in his life. Siddharth and Naina life are shown showing what things they had to face in their life and what next is waiting for them. Book ends showing how they both meet perfect partners in their life and who was it. Start from the beginning to the end the story is very interesting to read. Basically it's a love story..
The two main characters of the story are naina and Siddharth, both are childhood buddies.
Naina is little younger then sid but this does nit effect their friendship in childhood..Sid was always there for Naina whenever she is in trouble.
They both have house next to each other , their families are also friend of each other even we can say that they all are like a single family.
Later on both find their Love in someone's else and their life gets busy, sid went to foriegn for mba.
But destiny has planned something else the Lover of Sidharth died and then sid family tries to convince sid to marry naina..
The plot is really interesting, I don't want to reveal it so just go and read it..
It's a beautiful love story and i really liked it.

Ehsass is a romantic love story based on theme perfection where each Protagonist crave for perfection.

Two Protagonist of story are Siddharth and Naina, who knows each other since their childhood and both were in relationship but with different person.

Their relationship with different person didn't work out.

With twist of fate they came closer with each other, although their past relationship hit them hard sometimes but eventually they fell in Love with each other.


It's a cute love story with not much gripping plot but still characters in the story is portrayed well.

That book is in hindi language so that you can actually feel the book while reading it.

The story is fresh and intense with both humour and heart but nothing new! But yes it has a delightful plot and it brings joy and enduring moments for the readers.
The theme itself holds a gripping storyline to give the readers an informative yet distinctive read. Characterization is really powerful. The theme talks about love, friendship, inspirations and so on. But the story is unnecessarily dragged a bit.
I think author crafts a feel-good story out of it.One only needs to take a close look to be able to perceive the rawness of each layer-upon-layer nuance that author's work throbbed with.

Ehsaas by Ruchi Singh revolves around Siddharth and Naina. Siddharth is heart broken and expects nothing from life. Naina is in search of a perfect husband. But things don't always go as we plan.

The plot is nothing out of the box but the execution is really good. The characters have been developed nicely and descriptions are very good. I finished the book in no time because of the simple writing style.

Overall it was a good read and I would recommend it to people who like hindi books.

I have always been hugely fond of Hindi stories. Since childhood, I have been devouring 'Champak' and 'Comics'. So I dint give a second thought when I saw something of my taste after a long time.

The book is based on a heartful love story of Naina and Siddharth penned down with an amazing flair and such an artistic expression which will even put a beautifully crafted sketch to shame.

The usage of language is outstanding and without making it overtly complicated, writer has adopted a reader friendly approach by employing English words wherever required.
